War of Worlds

    The twin planets, Garafrice and Illainos, had been born together with the dying of an old star and the birth of a new. One shroud in darkness and another in light. It did not take long for superior species to develop on both- the soldiers of Garafrice and the children of Illainos. The Garfs and the Illai.
    The Illai thrived, in love with the world and it's light, blessed with longevity and wisdom and patience. Few in numbers, but kept company by their brothers and sisters, the Resinvin. Dimension skippers and dragons. They were explorers and
    wanderers, with no desire to destroy, but to preserve. Which would end up being their greatest weakness.
    The Garfs, deprived of warmth, grew cold at heart and pale at skin. Bitter and without love- but strong. Soldiers. Built to endure. However, they also grew greedy in their despair. They wanted what was not theirs.
    And they will have it.

  2. The Illai -

    [IMG]
    overview -

    The Illai are creatures of noble souls, blessed with longevity that can span several thousand years. They value life above all else, and loathe the most to kill without need. This does not make the species herbivorous- quite the opposite. Most of their diet consists of fish and flesh. However, they never take more than needed. Although at first look they look very humanoid, with varied features and pointed ears, they only take this look in a safe environment. When feeling threatened or angered, their skin roughens up and their skin tone changes. The effect is similar, but also varies throughout. Some's skin darkens, some's pales. Others skin simply roughens, and some spike up like the scales of a dragon. Sometimes its both.
    Illai also have special connections to other creatures besides their own kind. They are called Resinvin, "time dragons". These creatures are as intelligent as the Illai, with almost magical traits. They are highly respected among the elfin folk, not as Gods, but as friends and companions. Most Illai have a Resinvin partner, the exception being only if their Resinvin has died or no Resinvin find them worthy of making the bond. An Illai only has one Resinvin partner throughout their life, and visa verse.
    When an Illai reaches the age of 20 Earth Years, they go through a coming of age ceremony, that lasts three days and is often celebrated by the whole of the city. This is because Illai to not reproduce like humans- women only have one child in their entire lifetime and with no one but their lifemate, whom they only ever have one of. This makes the Illai small in number, but also mindful of life and it's value. So when one of their own becomes an adult, it is celebrated in entirety. At the end of the three days, they will undergo a journey of their own to where the untamed Resinvin live, the very peak of the World Mountains, and what happens there is never shared. Many return with their partner, sometimes days later, sometimes months. Seldom, they aren't heard of again- these times aren't spoken of.
    The Resinvin are not time dragons, like their name would have it. But dimension skippers, experts at finding loopholes in the fabric of time and space. Much of a Illai's life is spent traveling with their Resinvin.

    society -

    They live solely in the continent of Felrun, in towns and cities. They are rarely found isolated from their own. The Sovereigns rule from the Capital City, Resai. There aret he King and Queen, their sole offspring, the prince or princess and heir to the throne, and the Council. The Council simply advises the King and Queen, and speak for the people, but do not have the final say in things.

  3. The Garfs

    [IMG]

    Overview -

    The Garafice are a highly evolved planet that host beings called Garfs, these human beings have rankings within their lands. They depend highly on the technology and capability of their minds. These beings are highly intelligent, though that doesn't exclude any form of brutality. Garfs are heartless, they do what they need to survive, and what they need to do to continue in evolution. They lost touch with their ways with the earth, they've already discovered a way to protect their planet, unlike Humans on Earth, who pollute their lands and slowly destroy their planet's way of life. The Garfs live within rankings, ways that they are able to go throughout society and thrive. Most of which a child's life is determined through the first ten years of their life, schooling is introduced when they are roughly the age of three to four, where they are taken to learn the ways of their kind. Which revolves highly around the technology that they are able to create, they attend three different schools within the span of a nine day week to determine what they will succeed in. If one child is better with strength, power, and being an utter brute - then they are sent off towards a somewhat permanent school where that child will grow to know only that. These Garfs are often sent to war where they will either die or live, though within that military like system they have higher and lower rankings, etc. Same goes for the other two, those being technology - the ones you can hold, like a laptop or tablet on Earth, they also work in construction and other minor tasks such as that. Then the third is one where they work in the field of maintaining their kind and taking care of their planet. Developing the tablets they need for vitamins and minerals, as well as what they ingest. Though like said, there are rankings within the rankings, often like how we have within a hospital. A doctor, a surgeon, a nurse, and so on.
    Due to their conditions, their life spans are often long, not so much as thousands of years old though more around the hundreds. They're not immortal, and often times they can't survive most things, there planet isn't just at war with one planet, you see. Thus why they don't live as long for not all of it is on other planets, some wars drift onto their lands and terrorism attacks are rather common.
    Within the family home, however, things are much different. You are created in different ways, yes you do have sex organs - they all do. However, within those three schools, if you fit into none of them - you are sent off to reproduce. Often at times those are merely called Breeders. Life for Garfs is far too busy for them to bare a child for so long, they can't hold that weakness, and only the maximum of three children per household is allowed within their planet.
    They are also ruled by a King, never a Queen. Males are predicted to last longer, though they pick a King not by offspring - even though you are able to have your own child if wanted - but by the King when laid on his death bed. He is often the longest to live, he's often heavily protected, that's commonly why he lives so long, guarded off and never let out into society for the dangers that may happen.
    Garfs hold no religion either, they don't see the need to believe in something that isn't seen or touched, they need to date proof. Often, if one tries to preach of something, they're sentenced to death. Their 'God' is their King, if one goes against his wishes, death is sentenced. They live in respect and fear, the Garfs never really... Believe in true happiness, they just continue doing what they need to do, never enjoying the little things. Often why they are such bitter creatures.
    As far as appearance goes, they highly resemble humans, though with far more extreme forms of taboo, they often have different skin pigments and have added things to their body, their skeletal structure is different than that of a human's, and when in a fight or flight situation - much like the cuddle fish or octopus - they change within colors in a flash or their skin rises up in defense, though that's for females, you see - males have a higher form of defense and intimidation, thus the strange bone structure and fast regeneration. Though, it mostly only applies to skin when it comes to the regeneration, if an organ is damaged, you better hope that you get assistance.

    Female

    Age:
    247 Earth Years

    Planet:
    Illainos [ Ill - ae - nos ]

    Species:
    Illai [ Ill- ae ]

    Species Description:

    The Illai are creatures of noble souls, blessed with longevity that can span several thousand years. They value life above all else, and loathe the most to kill without need. The Resinvin are not time dragons, like their name would have it. But dimension skippers, experts at finding loopholes in the fabric of time and space. Much of a Illai's life is spent traveling with their Resinvin.

    Ranking:
    Crown Princess; the sole daughter of the Queen and King of the Illai.

    Family:
    She comes from a long line of Sovereigns, who have ruled the Illai for eras with wisdom and patience. The current rulers are her mother and father, King Dael and Queen Yserali. She descends into the throne either when both the current Sovereigns die, or when she marries and they see fit for her to rule.

    Personality:
    Versailles is the reflection of the Illai and seems like it. She holds herself with pride and treads like there was no ground. However, under this, she can be wild and untamed- more like a young Resinvin than an adult Illai, and princess no less. She plays games with the passion of youth and lusts for the adventures that children dream of. She seeks danger and the skip-of-a-heart-beat thrill. The time she can spare from her duties are spent with her Resinvin, Jutenija, whom she adores most. Although her parents are pushing her to marriage, she has no plans of searching for her lifemate any bind herself anytime soon.

    She has no idea of the war about to unfold between worlds- only having heard whispers of the flaring tensions between the Garfs and Illais.

    Resinvin:

    [IMG]

    Story -

    Unlike many of the Illai, Versailles was gifted by the Resinvin, a dragon egg. Most are chosen by a dragon of varying degrees of ages, sizes, and physical outlook. However, the elder Resinvin at the World Mountains saw that none of the present dragons resonated with the little princess. Had it been anyone else, the dragons would have turned a blind eye, seeing the individual as unworthy. However, this was a sovereign, and the sovereign of the Illai could not go without a Resinvin partner. So they took her where none had gone before- the insides of the mountain home of the dragons, where they kept their eggs and youth. The Resinvin eggs lined the walls, each with different colors and patterns and resonating unique life. And out of the hundreds of present eggs, only one sang a hymn at the presence of Versailles. This egg was given to her to raise- a seemingly impossible task. She stayed in the mountains the entire time.
    After many suns and moons, with the song growing even more refined and beautiful each day, the egg hatched into a young Resinvin. Immediately, it divulged it spoke and sang its name.
    Jutenija.

    Personality -
    Jutenija has the brashness and boldness that come from being so young- merely 227. A short time for a Resinvin, who have nearly the whole of eternity to see the universe. Despite not having traveled much out of the world due to the responsibilities of Versailles, his instincts are perfectly developed to tell the little rips and tears in the fabric of space and time. He loves it as much as he loves Versailles, who is his best friend, companion, and like a sister to him. He wants to show her the universe before she has to descend to the throne and both are bound to Illainos.

    Physical Description -
    He is a bit larger than a bear now, with black scales and rough underlying bright red skin. In years to come, he will become more than three times the size he is now. His wing span is about 47 feet. He has enough strength to carry along Versailles on his back for more than five hours without a rest, although he isn't exactly big enough to carry two people yet. He is strictly carnivorous.

    Name ;
    Derek Strider.
    Gender ;
    Male.
    Age ;
    28 Earth Years.
    Planet ;
    Garafice. {g-air-a-feese}
    Species ;
    Garfs. {g-air-fss.}
    Ranking ;
    He is what some might claim, in the 'military', though his training isn't to invade another on his own planet, his task is to invade a different planet, one with something they have yet to understand. That being the ability to bond with those monstrous beasts translated to the common word, Dragons. He is basically trained for a suicidal mission, for if he fails his tasks, then he may end up slayed by the inhabitants of the land or he just might end up devoured by some predator on their land. However, he's trained in battle with and without weaponry, relying less on technology - shocker - and more on the grounds. Seeing as the reason he was signed up for this 'military' life was because he didn't fit in the with norm. Of society. He couldn't grasp the concept of technology, he wouldn't go as fast as the others and was taken from his classes to work int he forces.
    Family ;
    Strider has a mother named Lews, a father named Harris, two younger brothers and a new baby sister that he'll never see face to face. He had pets, they had a... It's not the dog here on Earth, but it's the common equivalent to one, they had sea creatures in a tank within their home, and they had an almost cat-like pet as well.
    Body Description ;
    The man is tall, towering at a great five feet in height with the addition of eleven inches, though he slumps so in all truth he's roughly six feet, though his poor posture prevents him from standing as tall as he truly is. The irises within his eyeballs are a cool, icy blue like that of frozen river water. Pure. Derek's hair is rather odd, though not that uncommon, he has his hair split into thirds, the center part being the largest, the two side cuts are short in length and are colored white or a silvery shade. The mass of his hair is his natural black hair, grown out and placed in dredlocks that go towards his shoulders, often falling to the left of his head out of natural habit. This man has a rather strong, wide frame - holding a massive build of muscle. Though not the kind you would glance at and feel that it's a bit too defined, like that of a body builders'. Rather, he's more built up in a way that he looks almost heroic, a body that holds strength and makes a few in his cabin a tad envious that they can't amount to that large build. Though he's not all muscle, he used to be pudgy, and still has a bit of it around his stomach and his 'love handles'. The male's skin is rather... White, pale like snow, white like glue, dusty like powdered sugar. They lack the need for much light, and their planet is always dark, not having much light to give as the years skippered past so quickly, fleeting and letting their minds evolve, their appearance, just about everything. For vitamins and minerals, the Garfs mostly take highly concentrated supplements to help them survive, their live stock and their plant materials are often created off in other parts of their world.
    Taboo ;
    As you can see from the image, there is much taboo going on with him. He roughly holds eight different piercings while as far ass ink within the skin, he holds a mass of it. From his neck down to his collar bones, down his chest, across the tops of his shoulders, and a bit down his back, is a massive single tattoo. It starts from under his jawline and wraps around his neck, going down and branching out at the tops of his shoulders in sharp triangular shapes with thin points. Down to his collar bone, it branches twice. Once longer near where his pits connect to the side of his body, then a shorter one just a few inches from the dip in his collar bone, for down that length is the longest branch that does down, only getting thin the farther it gets to his navel. This repeats to his back, only it doesn't go all the way down, it stops mid back. His skin is littered in scars and on the girth of his upper forearms are two long black bands, an inch apart.

  8. "What do you think yer' doing, Harips?! Get movin'!" The Drill Sargent screamed down at the men, he was a massive man, a tall one - a broad one. He had the bones flaring from his skin in high intimidation to threaten the others, the bones rattled and made the sound a rattle snake might when flickering in a fierce stance. The men were like dogs being kicked in the stomach, in fright and in respect - they ran forwards. The man was insulting them and running after them, his longer legs provided longer, farther strides while he continued to snap at the men who were keeping a calm pace while they trudged the rough terrain.
    The landscape was rough, the sun was no where in sight, they never saw the sun often, but it wasn't dark either. They had their own interpretation of the sun, over time they've learned how to cope with it. Whenever they didn't see the sun, drone like creations with massive beams of light went through the planet at the rate the sun, giving them the artificial lighting they would need to tell their times of day and night.
    As the men continued to run on the dusty track through the rocky land, the Drill Sargent snapped at them again, "Wing two and three - fall left, fall right!" He snapped, the twenty on each side of the three sections did as told and began to start up the rocky, uneven, jagged cliff's walls. The men were in uniform, their clothing was full skin suits that cut off like a short sleeve shirt though it went down to their feet like a onsie on Earth - their night clothing. Though they had large, airy, baggy pants over that with thick, weighed down boots that was purposely stuffed with rocks.
    A young man of the recent generation named Derek Strider, was placed within this Military like situation, he wasn't able to understand the fast working technology, after all - learning to create a holographic, seven screened contraption with full processing and changeable modes due within the next day didn't help him, let alone the fact he was merely six years old. He couldn't do that - apparently, that was a simple task that just about everyone else completed, he obviously didn't. When younger, he thrived int he school where he was destroying objects by hand or by weaponry. This man was fit, he was capable of doing much anything physical, but if you held out the Human's current Iphone - he wouldn't understand even that highly ancient item. And thankfully, his broads over brains was highly wanted because he was trained for a very honorable task where he met the King face to face - he was on a suicidal mission that he trained for, for several years. He was to be dropped within the most dangerous planet - for them at the current moment at least. He reached his arms up and grabbed the ledge of a part of the cliff that just stuck out like a sore thumb, he grasped it - though it wasn't able to support the man's weight. He growled, snarling a bit at this - his brows furrowed when it broke under him, he spun in the fetal position for a few seconds before he landed on the ground - the Drill Sargent snapped at him for his actions and he darted forwards to run along the uneven pathway, he had to keep up, he had to live past expectations.

  9. The sun was just setting over the peaks of the World Mountains, the last rays dancing across the vast land as the sky darkened. It was something to be seen. With 27 hours of daylight, plunging into darkness seemed almost ungodly. Like the obscurity could grab hold of you with its long, dark, and ominous fingers and suck you in. It was only during these brief periods of gloom that the planet Illainos, resembled it's twin. Even from far away, the gigantic Resinvin figures could be spotted as they descended to the earth for slumber.
    The sharp, angled walls of the city rose with splendor and openness to all who would call themselves friends of the Illai. Often, it was said that the magnificent capital, Resai, had a mind of its own. That in times of trouble, it would turn to protect it's people, and defend against the enemy. However, no one could say for sure. There hadn't been war between the Illai kin since the dawn of their species, and they lied in peace with all that shared in the splendor of their world. Deeper within these same walls, right at the heart of city, was a palace three times the size of the largest of any Earth King. The Sovereigns ruled from there, supreme, but fair. Their Council also resided in these halls- made up of twelve elder advisers. As was proper, the pair of rulers had an heir, their sole heir, for Illai women only have one child in their entire lifetimes- although twins do occur, it is an uncommon occurrence, and the mother is usually seen as very lucky and blessed. The heir would grow up, and be partnered with their Resinvin, and later in life, married to their lifemate. Their lifemate, like their children, are only one. The current child, a little princess of merely 247 years, walked these halls with grace, with nobility, and with-

    "WOO-HOO!" the loud cheer echoed throughout the halls with wild merriment. It was accompanied by a fearsome cry that could belong to no other creature but a Resinvin. The palace helpers- helpers, for no one was anyone else's servant in this society, and those who where offered a position to help around the castle were treated with as much respect as the next individual- made way for the child and her dragon. A few pair of eyes watched in amusement as the girl clung to the back of her Resinvin as it sped down the hallway at top speed, wing clenched close to its side. "Faster." she urged the beast, and it resounded a laugh through its chest that vibrated through her entire body. The long claws on it's feet clanged against the golden floor even quicker. They took a sharp turn, only to encounter a snotty-looking man whose eyes widened in surprise, almost a reflection of their expressions, as the three crashed into each other.

    The scrolls laid spread across the floor and on the individuals. "Wha- What is this?" a voice explained, sounding almost like a earthling boy not quite done with puberty. "Explain yourselves!" he demanded, nostrils flurrying. Versailles was moving a scroll to hand to him, only to have it snatched from her hand.

    "Sorry, Gallin. I was just-" she began, not sounding one bit sorry.
    "Sorry? SORRY!? You'll be sorry when I tell your father about this!" he exclaimed, shaking his head furiously and getting up on a shaking pair of legs. His skin had paled and roughened like sandpaper.
    "Oh no, please don't tell him about this! I'm supposed to be at sparring, but the teacher is such a prick, Gallin, please!" She turned to look at Jutenjia for help, but the dragon was already on it. He stood up on his four legs, towering in comparison to the fragile looking Illai.
    "I'm sure you can let this slide, Gallin." his voice was rough, yet smooth- the sort that would send a shudder through those who did not know it. Gallin gulped, backing up from the large Resinvin. He had one of his own, a Resinvin, but the runt was nowhere to be seen and like Gallin, a coward.
    "F-fine, but this is the last time!" At this, Versailles beamed and turned to Jutenija, grabbing his larger and sturdier side plate-scales, and mounted him.
    "Thanks Gallin! I owe you one." she shouted after herself. Jutenija had all too quickly burst into a sprint again and taken off out of the palace and into the twilight sky.

  10. Derek was panting as the air cut through his throat, it was brisk and harsh around this time of year for his kind, every season was harsh on their planet which no longer held the life of plants that weren't helped with technology. Unlike the Illai, the natural landscape died from an attack several hundred thousand years back, causing their land to fall to nothing. Their summers and springs were hot and instantly froze as soon as fall and winter arrived, the sudden planet temperature change was far too common and their kind learned to cope with it. Derek still found it an annoyance, bracing for the unforgiving winters three weeks in advanced, and same with the heat to protect what they had and to make sure nothing broke from the extreme climate shift.

    His feet pounded the jagged cliff below him as he narrowed his eyes, peering ahead of him - he could just see the finish line where a red cape hung on a pole - ready to be touched to signify the winner. Taking in a deep breath, the male charged forwards and from every other second relied on a rather different skill he learned in his night sessions. He learned to run somewhat like the wild, vicious creatures on his planet. Seeing as the landscape was dangerous all in itself, so were the animals here. They had an unforgiving world, really - monsters that tales cannot make up, beasts that will devour a five year old child whole and kill the king if able to. These beasts were often smart, other worldly looking, and a constant threat. Thankfully, they lived in the more... Natural areas where Garfs did not always go, nor touch because of the high population of dangerous creatures.

    The Drill Sargent began to scream loudly, his bones rattling while four of his 'ribs' broke from his chest, ripping the fabric of his clothing and rising him into the air at least sixteen feet, two ribs from each side - acting like spider legs while making faster, longer strides towards the pole. He didn't aim to beat his students, he aimed to encourage them to move faster - the number one rule being, it you lag being, you'll be fed to the Worshka. A wretched beast that towered six feet at the shoulder. It was made of pure flesh, muscle, and hate. Fear was something that beast ate for a snack, it had six rows of teeth, massive canines - two sets on one row. It held four small eyes and a massive nose that inhaled deeply, the skin was rough and lizard like, the creature resembled much of a reptile in all truth, though it had spines on the side of it's head like a frilled lizard - the difference? It was made out of quills like that of a porcupine, only they held color to look like soft feathers. It also took place along the backs of the legs and the top/sides of the tails. Often having horns on their heads and massive claws, six legs. Two main back legs, four main front legs. There were tuffs of fur around the nose of the beast to catch undetected scents and to keep them close to aid the beast. It was often hard to tame and was much of a one-man-creature.

    Derek panted heavily by now, drenched in sweat that glinted on his skin as he darted forwards, launching himself off the cliff and to the thirteen foot drop to the ground where he took a slamming hit to the shoulder. Rolling and flailing to his feet, the man stumbled ridiculously and started his sprint forwards, the pole was just in sight, reaching out a cut hand, the male slammed it on the pole, which was silver - only to flare a rainbow of colors. It registered the hand print and sent off the information to base before turning clear - see through. He let go of it and slid to the ground with a tired pant, men raced over and tossed several powders into his mouth, squeezing water into the overly worn male who had been pushed to limits that he should have stopped hat boundaries before. This wasn't the first drill of the day, rather it was the 70th drill that they had to do.
