Wander here and adventure

Woah, if this is still open, I'm very much interested. Solo sounds kind of nice, but I might consider being in a group.

Its still open but there still isn't any interesting plot. Do you have a plot you want to suggest? A fantasy kind but still logical? :P

Okay, you want me to rapid fire ideas? Rapid firing ideas...

Tension rising between two nations and a party is sent as bodyguards to a diplomat trying to negotiate a treaty (and it might be a trap). I didn't think this one through, so it's short.

Caravans and travelers have been going missing near a mountain pass (it's totally kobolds, calling it right now). Most people suspect bandits, but after one person survives an encounter with them and runs to town screaming about things that don't make sense, people start to think something bigger is going on. A reward is offered to anyone who volunteers to go check it out.

A holy war going on between an iron fist that seeks to convert all to their belief and an extremist group of rebels that use terror tactics and have a lot of cultist beliefs. Party gets confused for the cultist's gods and they want to use the party against the iron fisted regime. They'll probably sacrifice you if you turn out to be a fake though...

Local noble is looking for a group to come with him on an expedition into an unsettled coastline that sees a lot of storms, tribals, dangerous wildlife, and a territorial dragon or two. Noble is following rumors of massive caves rich with valuable ore and wants to claim it first. He hires the party to guard him and help explore this untamed land, and he's probably super annoying or posh or maybe he's a badass or something cool. I don't know.

A huge bounty is placed on the party after a misunderstanding. The party members must either clear their name or kill every bounty hunter, knight, town guard, and innkeeper in the entire continent so they don't get executed. One's obviously easier than the other. However, the person or group who set them up is good at covering their tracks, so they've got to solve the crime they've been convicted of while avoiding capture at the same time. There may or may not be a knight/law enforcer/whatever who has a hunch and is following the same clues they are and may agree there's something more to this, but he's still gotta do his job.

These are just off the top of my head, but you asked for ideas. They can be adapted, changed, and modified so they fit the roleplay.

I could use this idea. Later, they will find something mysterious.

Gonna post when I can. May be awhile, don't want to use up this phone.

@Sir Pinkleton

The planet of Terra. The terrain is treacherous. The lands are filled with dangerous animals. The seasons are ever changing. Mysterious magics are abundance. Steam powered machinery are used in daily lives. Nonetheless, the planet has sights to be admired.

In Grufford, a city with towering buildings, stood a guild where combat efficient warriors and arcane artists come to acquire jobs.

In the main lobby where people linger, on the guild board, amongs many other papers, a flier advertising jobs with great payment was posted. It was an escort ,aid, and protect quest. The destination is an area out of the kingdom's borders reach and back. The position of defender, assaulter, medic, arcane artist, and general worker is open. The client was one Doctor Weaselhoffer.

Doctor Weaselhoffer is a well known person with the title of noble and lord bestowed on him by the king of the kingdom of Garuda for the deed of the creation of cures for multiple types of diseases and poisons. He owns a massive estate in the inner city and is knowledged in medicine as well as alchemy. He is also known for his solitary behavior and is rarely seen out of his mansion. Although he was a doctor, his quest in pursuit of knowledge is never ending.

Unknown fact to the job appliers:
A while ago, Doctor Weaselhoffer managed to gain an old map marking an ancient temple. With the map was a letter enlightening the reader of one of the Sword of Weather; a sword capable of bending the weather according to the element of the sword. Unfortunately, the location marked was highly dangerous, rumored to be filled with colossal carnivores of many kind. He needed strong and skilled men for this job, but the party needs to be small.

Is this plot okay, @Sir Pinkleton ?

You're the GM, you don't really need to ask for my opinion; not that I mind though. I like it, it sounds good and it leaves a lot of room for advancing the story. I'm tempted to be a ballsy SoB and apply... for general worker! Leave the glory to the other guys, I came here to sweep up messes and carry stuff like champ.
I still have to think about my position... but it would be kinda fun to play as the guy no one expects to survive.
I'll probably just be medic or arcane artist if I decide not to be everyone's Alfred.

Perhaps I was hoping for a building criticism. :P I'm still learning how to write properly.

I'll post an add for the roleplay later. Hopefully, interests will rise.

That looks really good for Grufford, I like it. Seriously, this looks great.
Although I think the land should be called something other than Terra. Everyone and their mother uses Terra as a name for worlds.

Yeah I admit I suck at naming. What name do you suggest?

I usually like to keep the names of lands short and simple. It also sort of depends on the most common languages spoken in that world; although I doubt we'll have to consider unless you really want to build some lore around this world. In short, you want the name to capture the feel of the world. The way I'm interpreting the setting based off what we have so far; I'm getting a big Euro-English (although Weaselhoffer sounds like a German foreigner which actually makes it cooler). I sort of like that vibe and it would be kinda cool for the humans in the world (or at least in Grufford) to see a proper gentleman as a common demeanor. Plus, it's kinda steampunky (which is fine, although personally I like to keep my steampunk from getting too crazy when I see it) so this early 19th century Europe style fits in easily. It would be cool inspiration to build names and people around.

This is just me throwing around ideas, and I tend to overthink everything in settings; so feel free to me down, you're the GM. I'll put in a couple of generic names that could just be ad-libbed into pretty much any setting.

Thebens
Forlesien
Gorentine
Telmark
Earus

Yeah, I like the theme this world has too. But then again, I'm playing a giant robo-dragon, so I may be biased slightly. Seems the dragons will be something like wolves or large cats, like in How to Train Your Dragon. Thet was one of my favorite interpretations of dragons I've seen so far.

As much as I liked the movie, I've always liked my dragons to be very rare and very territorial. I usually have their birth rate be quite low so they're incredibly rare, which tends to be a good thing to the inhabitants. The way I like my dragons is territorial and very mean. Not to mention hard to kill, I've always loved the idea of dragons getting all messed up and bloody but still coming after you. Like impaling it through the heart just pisses it off.

It's a little more down to earth and less fantastical, but I've always imagined dragons as really big wasps. If it flies over you, it probably won't care cause you're won't (and probably can't) possible be a threat. But if you get too close to what they call home, their attitude changes and their prime objective becomes ruining your day as much as possible.

It's up to the GM though, and by the looks of it, dragons have already been established as intelligent.

No, they're animal-like. From the GM.

The dragons will be wild carnivorous colossol reptilians. They won't be able to speak the human language. They won't be sofisticated and intelligent. They are killing machines. Okay?

End GM.

Trying to make my dragon act something like a giant dog or something along those lines.

My type of dragons are Monster Hunter. They are crazy and you can cut down their tail and eat it raw!

I may be busy today and may not post much. There are lots of work to do in the frame and photo shop today.

Oh and Terra wasn't the name of the land. It was the planet's name. The land's name was Garuda. But both will be changed.

LORE:

In ancient times, there was only one language spoken. The meaning absolute and their words are power. The power of the writings of runes, diagrams, and symbols are no different. Words when spoken and symbols when drawn with intent, reality as well as ethereal matter would bend. But to speak even a word, spirit and soul is consumed. Talking is taxing, even life threatening as it consumes the soul within. Without soul, a person dies. Accidents occurs constantly and chaos follows. Out of fear, some chose silence over speech. Thus, other symbols and languages that does not require soul to speak are created. As time passes, many of the words and symbols of power are forgotten. Whatever words that survived the passing of time is presently considered spells, curse, and enchantments.

In ancient times, a smith lived with passion for swords. To him, swords are pieces of art, beautiful to his eyes, attractive to his soul. He crafted swords with the constant changing weather as his inspirations. He spoke to them as he crafts them. He gave each swords names in the ancient words and wrote on them runes of power for every kind of weathers. His love and attention slowly gave the swords soul as well as amazing abilities. Each swords have different names. No one knows the real numbers of swords the smith created. In the present day, the story of the smith and his swords are considered only to be a myth and legend. In reality, the smith did exist. His swords; The Swords of Weathers, are scattered throughout the world.

My knowledge in grammar sucks. Whoever is great in English, please correct my post.
