Metal Manipulation: The ability to manipulate, create and shape metal and metal based substances to her will. This includes lifting pieces of metal without physically touching it, as well as changing the state of metal, like melting it.

Magnetism: The ability to act like a human magnet. This isn't always a good thing since her powers reflect her emotions, meaning if she gets angry or surprised, anything metal nearby might get flung around, and usually toward her since she involuntarily acts as a magnet. She's gotten plenty of bruises because of this.

BIO

Isabella has never really known her mother since she died during childbirth. By growing up with her dad, she picked up some neat tricks like learning how to fix up cars with him in his garage. They weren't all that well off but they managed somehow, especially with her helping around in the garage. She was quite handy and didn't mind getting some dirt and grease under her fingernails, and there was almost nothing she couldn't fix. Her powers developed at a young age, and while her father thought it strange at first, he grew to admire it since it helped them a lot when it came to fixing things. What Isabella didn't know was how many loans her father had taken throughout the years, and when she turned sixteen, it came to a point where he couldn't pay them all off. And the people he took loans from weren't the type to be very understanding. He had mingled with the wrong crowd because they had more money than banks could offer him.

In order to pay off his debts, the man Isabella's father took loans from, decided that he could exchange his daughter in order to keep his own life safe. He intended to marry her off to his son as soon as she turned eighteen. Isabella's father, not knowing what to do, agreed on the spot and then later told his daughter of his situation. In order to keep her safe, he sent her to a school for others like her, leaving no trace of her whereabouts for people to find. After he sent her there, he fled, telling only Isabella where he was so she could find him if she really needed to. The man that's after Isabella's father is still at large, and now he's searching for her too because he wants what was promised to him.

BIO

As a child, Ethan was the type of kid who was always hyperactive, regardless of whether he had sugar in his system or not. He loved to meet other people and he loved to be the center of attention with all his tricks and his jokes and playful antics. As he grew up, he was what one would probably call the 'Class Clown'. The prankster, the jokester, the one who was always finding ways to make the best out of a bad situation by putting a fun, more positive spin on things.

His home life was a little different though. He's an orphan, and has been shifting from foster home to foster home because his impulsive and slightly reckless behaviour often causes disruption in all the households he's been in.

Growing older only made it worse because people didn't really want to adopt a teenager, and coincidentally, that was around the time that his powers started showing themselves, which made things even harder. Eventually the orphanage he was in, discovered a boarding school that would be perfect for him. It housed other kids like him, kids that had a tendency to not abide by the rules, and kids that also had some special abilities. Abilities that most people didn't possess.

As usual, Ethan tried to take it in his stride and put a positive spin on things. After all, it meant meeting new people. He's a regular student there now, having attended for three years. He's in his final year now and he hopes to pursue his dream of becoming a pilot one day.

Melody Yang

NICKNAME:
Mellie

AGE:

SEXUALITY:
Heterosexual

GENDER:
Female

BIRTHDAY:
August 3rd

BIRTHPLACE:
Shanghai, China

PATERNAL ETHNICITY:
100% Chinese

MATERNAL ETHNICITY:
50% Chinese
50% Korean

ABILITIES:
Melody is a fighter. Literally. You don't want to be up against her. She is skilled in enhanced combat, martial arts, and boxing; but the thing is, she never once trained for these things. She was just born with it. Neither Melody nor her family knew about this until, when she was seven years old, a neighborhood boy and his friends started bullying her and Melody had had enough with his abuse. As self defense, she fought back and was surprised to not only find herself able to defend herself against these boys, but also able to totally kick all of their asses and send the head bully to the hospital. Melody is also incredibly flexible with tons of agility. She's able to climb walls, jump and leap from buildings, do hundreds of backflips in one go, and other skills that any gymnast would kill to have.

BIO:
Being somewhat of a superwoman has made Melody a celebrity but an outsider and a loner from the start. Some people were fascinated by her and wanted to be friends with her, others thought she was posessed and needed to be committed to a mental ward. Once her powers were made known, her family did everything they could to try to keep their daughter from taking hold of them. They took her to countless doctors and religious figures in order that she may be 'healed' from this with no success; the Yangs could only encourage Melody to embrace her "femininity", meaning they wanted her to become a good housewife and mother and do her best to hide what made her special. Melody still continued to use her powers in secret, but it wasn't enough; and when her parents began to set up an arranged marriage with none other than Shang, the boy who used to bully her as a child, her relationship with her parents only got worse. Feeling like she was going crazy in her hometown, she begged her parents to let her go to school far away from all the gossip that surrounded them. Thankfully they agreed to her wish, not realizing that she has hopes of joining the army where she can really use her powers for good. That way, her family can be proud of her instead of ashamed of her.

NAME:
Hayden Strong

NICKNAME:
Wonderboy

AGE:
17

SEXUALITY:
Heterosexual

GENDER:
Male

BIRTHDAY:
January 17th

BIRTHPLACE:
Unknown

PATERNAL ETHNICITY:
Unknown

MATERNAL ETHNICITY:
Unknown

ABILITIES:
Hayden has the power of superhuman strength, so it's kind of ironic that his last name is Strong. Since birth, he's been able to lift heavy objects, like cars and buildings, with ease. For him, it's like picking up a toothpick. The thing is, Hayden doesn't know his own strength so sometimes, it gets him in trouble. He'll accidentally injure his team mates during football practice when he gets too into the game or he'll destroy his own belongings by mistake when he gets upset or stressed out about something. Along with super strength, he has the power of speed; this, too, he has to be careful with as it makes him almost impossible to compete with when it comes to sports. It used to be very useful for him back in freshman year though, when he was scrawny and had to run away from bullies.

BIO:
Hayden was abandoned on his parents' porch steps when he was no more than a few weeks old. Seen as a gift from the heavens, the old farmer and his wife took the baby boy in and raised him. He was dearly loved by the elderly couple who were never able to have biological children of their own, teaching him how to run a farm and live the country life. However, Hayden had always been considered the town freak. No matter how hard he tried to make friends and be a part of the community, Hayden always ending up doing something stupid like accidentally sending somebody's cow soaring through the sky. His parents knew that as much as they wanted him to take over the farm, Hayden would never belong in their little town. As difficult as it was to see him go, Hayden's mother and father sent him away to a boarding school where he could finally find a place to belong. So far, Hayden's loved it for the most part. Back home, nobody wanted to be friends with him and girls laughed at him; but at Walt Disney High, everybody wants to be his best friend and girls adore him. The guys want to be him, the girls want to be with him. It's great. But, Hayden still feels like the town freak and wishes he could find someone who would actually like him for him and not his powers; and he wants to do something great with his powers, something beyond being a professional football player like everyone wants him to be.

"Shit," Hayden hissed as his red 1998 Honda Civic refused to start. It made that stupid clicking noise that he'd gotten to used to ever since he bought the damn thing three months ago. He'd wanted to save money and only get what he needed. Like his mother used to tell him, it was all about the necessities. Did he want a fancy Bentley? Hell yeah, he did. Did he need it? No. Not at all. Except screw that, because right now that's all he wanted in the world. A Bentley wouldn't have put him through this for the third time this month, that was for sure. He needed a new battery, and he knew just the person who could help him; but that would mean going up to her dorm and talking to her. And Isabella, well, she didn't exactly like Hayden. But, she was the closest mechanic nearby and also it would give him an excuse to talk to her, so he left the school parking lot and made his way towards the girls' dorm building. Not without company, though.

"Hey, Hayden," Sierra White said, ditching her friends to go talk to the athlete. She took a bite out of an apple before asking with a full mouth, "You look stressed out. What's wrong?"

"Car won't start," Hayden explained, his mind elsewhere.

"So you're heading to the girls' dorm?" She giggled. "Why? Were you planning on visiting me?"

"Actually, I'm going to see Isabella."

Sierra stopped. "Isabella?" She repeated, wrinkling her nose. "But she's such a weirdo. She like, thinks she's a mechanic or something."

"Which is why I'm going to see her," Hayden said, "hopefully she can fix my car. Catch ya some other time."

His presence in the girls' building did not go unnoticed, however, causing the girls to whisper into each other's ears and admire him from afar. Some even had the nerve to say hello to him, but all Hayden could think about was finding Isabella.

"Oh my God, what is he doing here?"

"He's here to see a girl."

"He's here to see Isabella."

"No way! Isabella Dubois?"

Hayden, ignoring all the gossip, was able to finally find the room he was searching for. After he gave a polite knock, Isabella's roommate opened the door. "Hayden Strong? What are you doing here?"

---
Some people found their sanctuary in church. Others, found it in drama class or poetry club or a bookstore. Melody found hers in the gym, punching a dummy until her arms were too sore to feel anything anymore. The gym was the one place she could let out her frustrations, her fears, her stress---

Pow!

The dummy went flying and ended up almost hitting some buff guy lifting weights. "Hey, watch it!" He yelled at her, causing Melody to wince. She quickly apologised, before calling it a day and wiping her sweaty face with a towel. "Well, that's another dummy you've killed this week," a familar voice said. Melody turned around and as soon as she saw who it was, she laughed. "Hey, Cricket. Whoa, what's with the outfit?"

"I know, it's pretty cool, huh?" He replied, showing off his super tight running shorts and unicorn headband. "And my sneakers glow in the dark. I call them my lucky shoes."

"Alright, if you say so, Lucky," Melody said, shaking her head with a smile. "I'm gonna go get some lunch. Wanna come with?"

"Sure, but only if it's healthy. I'm on a diet."

The two friends ordered some chicken salad before Cricket suggested they eat at the park. "It provides a nice view," he told her, which was translation for, "There's loads of cute guys to check out."
Melody had wanted to sit on the grass, but since Cricket didn't want to ruin his new shorts and sneakers, they settled for a park bench instead where Cricket had a nice view of Ethan Campbell playing frisbee.

"Isn't he such a hottie?" her best friend asked her.

Melody shrugged. He was good looking, sort of. But way too immature. The guy acted like a twelve year old after gulping down three cans of Red Bull and four chocolate bars. She shrugged. "I guess, if that's your sorta thing," she replied. Melody, to be honest, wasn't into boys. She wasn't into girls, either---but boys were just…gross to her. At least high school guys. They smelled like sweaty armpits and made the stupidest jokes, usually about sex. Even the cutest ones had their flaws, like farting in public or burping while they ate and thinking it was the most hilarious thing in the world.

"Are you a lesbian?" Cricket asked.

"What?" Melody said, being snapped back to reality.

"I mean, it's okay if you are. I'll accept you. Obviously. It was hard for me to come out, too---"

"Cricket, I'm not gay!"

And before she could say anything else, Melody Yang had been hit in the head by Ethan Campbell's stupid frisbee.

Isabella had been in her room when Hayden decided to pop over. She was busy fixing up her guitar. Controlling metal proved to be quite handy because there wasn't a thing she couldn't fix. Her guitar was one of those things.

She tested a few chords when there was a knock at the door. Her roommate, Danielle Poulter, answered the door and practically swooned. That was what let Isabella know that it was Hayden at the door and not someone else.

She rolled her eyes and rose from her bed. Her flannel shirt was still stained with some paint and grease since she had worked on someone else's car that morning and then did a little painting -- just one of her many hobbies.

Unlike most girls, Isabella did not fall for Hayden Strong's charm and good looks. Her roommate definitely had but Isabella had spent her life trying to get away from being chased by a man and his son that wanted her as a bride. Boys were the last thing on her mind.

"I'll take it from here, Danielle," she told her roommate with a smile and she stumbled back, mumbling something inaudible and making eyes at Hayden before disappearing into the room. Isabella leaned against the doorframe.

"So what is it this time?"

Ethan was having a great day so far. He usually had great days. Even if it was a bad one, he usually tried to put a positive spin on it in his own way. It usually worked, even if not for him, for other people. It was hard not to have a good time if Ethan Campbell was around.

Since he wasn't doing much and it was the weekend, he had decided to go throw a frisbee around. It was great weather and he needed to build up an appetite so he could go crazy in the cafeteria. He was a huge foodie.

"Hey, Alan!" He called one of his classmates. Ethan was pretty well known and because he loved meeting new people, he had loads of friends from various different classes.

Alan turned upon seeing him and jogged over. A conversation struck up and it didn't take long for the duo to take the frisbee and head to the lawn where they started to throw it around. It was going pretty great till Alan missed his shot and the frisbee went flying to hit none other than Melody Young in the face.

"Ah, crap," he muttered under his breath before jogging over. Alan stayed put and Ethan suspected it was because he assumed he would get punched in the face.

"I'm really sorry," Ethan said as he approached the girl. He wiped some sweat from his forehead before bending down to get a better look at her face. She was pink in a certain area and he was sure it would bruise soon.

"If you want... I can take care of that?"
