Did a little reworking on my mech:
Name: Daisy Stomper
Chassis: T-06 "Ares"
Unit type: Heavy terrestrial walker
Weapons:

2x "Vindicator" 30mm autocannon

Role: Main battle mech.
Bio: The T-06 "Ares" is an old design that was mass produced in the 2080's and retired in 3014. It was still occasionally used by less developed colonies for its ease of maintenance before First Contact. The war has now seen them deployed again, mostly in support of more advanced units. Despite its age, the Ares is still an effective weapons platform, giving assaults a strong backbone and supporting more advanced units. It is quite capable of knocking out comparable Blue units in battle.
Resembling a conventional tank on legs rather than a true mech. The Ares has heavier armor than most modern mechs, but this extra bulk and outdated drive systems make it significantly less maneuverable than modern designs. To help counteract the lack of shields and improve its survivability, ablative armor has been added. This relatively cheap material burns away when hit by energy weapons, diffusing the heat and energy of the hit. This gives limited (and temporary) protection from some of the Blue's more advanced weapons. The mech is also restricted to terrestrial environments, lacking any sort of thrusters. The Ares was the first to feature the modern system of modular weapon mountings and is compatible with many weapon systems in common use. Reconfiguring the mech takes about 24 man hours of work

Personality: Astrid is generally not a people person; her hair-trigger temper and lack of empathy don't really help her socially. One wrong comment can send her into rapid shouting mode. She is very proud of what she does, and gets overexcited when talking about it. Although she is eager to learn about other fields of work, Astrid looks down upon people who don't understand hers. The engineer does, however, have a soft side. Astrid's all smiles when it comes to fixing up the mechas of the mech pilots, and her usual bad mood will also disappear if the crew accomplishes something significant.
Bio: Born on Hegira-3, a planet similar to Earth but with many more hills and an unusually cold climate, Astrid raised herself on books. (Her family wasn't the greatest at taking care of children and seemed to have very little long-term memory.) She eventually got bored with educational textbooks, and only read the classics when she went to bed, so she started reading books on mechas - how to pilot them, how to take care of them, and even how to create one. Astrid was enchanted with the whole idea of these majestic mechanical devices. This came in handy when she was 15, and a neighbor was complaining about how their mecha couldn't deliver a package. Astrid immediately set to work, buying a mecha that was on sale and modifying it so it could walk across Hegira-3's icy hills. When the neighbor tried it and found that it had a few flaws but accomplished the intended task, Astrid decided she would study mecha engineering for a living. At 18, she took a flight to Earth and eventually got her bachelor's degree there, then her master's degree. Now, an older Astrid is in charge of mecha management aboard the spaceship that would gather information about the Blues. "Spaceship engineering? Psssh. A ten-year-old could do that."
