Mika put the clothes in the box with the animal food. She didn't feel like changing right now. She hugged her wet clothes closer and stared at the ground. It didn't look like it, but her mind was busy.

Everything she'd ever done wrong or anything bad that ever happened to her seemed to replaying in her brain. Her depression often did this. Mika had never been able to pull herself out of these moods. She'd tried thinking of happy things, but that always seemed to backfire. She'd tried just getting up and doing something, but these moods seemed to sap the energy out of her.

Mika preferred her hyper moods. Sure she acted high and was extremely reckless, but the depression was harder to deal with for her. Especially without anyone who understood what was going on in her head.

Mika ran her hands through her messy hair and lay back down pulling the thin blanket over herself. Druzhok had climbed out of the box and nuzzled Mika licking her face. She didn't react which was rare for her. Mika the puppy a lot and had been attached to him ever since Sasha had found him a month ago with his ear half torn off lying in an alleyway.

Casper sighed and shook his head.

"Doesn't mean it was ok. Mom and Dad aren't home, Justin. We have to make sure our little siblings aren't put in harms way. We have to think smart." He said. He honestly wasn't mad at Justin. He'd been compassionate and done the right thing Casper guessed, but he was worried at what example it set for their little brother and sister. Especially Oli. Lily wasn't likely to bring strangers home at her age, but Oli trusted so easily he very well might be influenced by bad people to take them tibhisbhoise or some such awful thing.
Casper didn't want the boy thinking it was ok to bring strangers home.

Casper domaines making breakfast and called for Lily and Oli to come to the table. They came and Casper served them their food.

"Miss Sandi is gonna be here in about 30 minutes. Then Justin and I gotta leave for work. " he told them as he lured cocos. "Be nice to the sitter. If we get a good report Justin and I may take the two of you out for a movie or treat tonight. " he promised them.
 
Justin​

Just sighed."I know, but the girl isn't going to harm the younger kids. She high five lily." He said." She is a lot more friendly then the other, yet the other intruiges me more." He said. He sighed and got up he put his tea glass in the sink and washed it. He let out a small sigh and looked at his little siblings as they ran out. Lily wanted to be attached to Justin all morning. When Sandi came she shook her head about going to the woman and clung to Justin. She let out a small whine. He sighed" how about tomorrow we hang out okay little one." She nods and goes reluctantly to the baby sitter. He grabs his keys and goes to his car.


He drive the both of them to the shelter. He didn't understand why almost every day on his break he head to be here. It was stupid. They did it for Thanksgiving wasn't that enough?" He asked in his mind. He hadn't seen the girl's all morning. He hoped the red head stayed where ever she was to rest. She had really twisted her ankle.

Though around the afternoon right before printing he and his brother get off . He sees the red head limp in with the other girl both looked warmer then before. The red head was defiantly all cleaned up. Which she seemed pleased with. He wondered what their story was.

Alex​
Alex sighed at her friend and moved to lay down. She was tired and now actually warm. She curled up and closed her eyes. She didn't want to wake again for a few days. She just lay curled in the coat. She would of comforted Lyss. She however was tired and in a lot of pain. She left the cigarettes out for lyss to smoke.

Her dog can up and curled under the coat with her and she just curled around him. Her small frame didnt shake or feel the cold. She didn't wake till late afternoon she looked around her. Her dog was still there and so was the kitten's. She looked around her and sighed as she sat up it had been cold, but she didn't notice in the dry clothes and the winter coat.

She looked over to Mika and sighed." Alright enough sulking let's get you in dry clothes and out from under this bridge I also found a way to get this place a bit warmer at night. I found those wood boards that are like sheets and can put one up top two to the side's and cut a door in the fourth," yes it is a much bigger box but at least it be warm and could have fires better." She said. She was trying to hopefully make it warm for them this winter. It was going to be a cold one.

Mika sat up slowly. She still felt like she had no energy and majorly depressed. She barely listened to Sasha when she said she'd found some plywood to make their little shelter warmer. Mika took the clothes and slowly stood up. She looked at their stuff. They could probably sell some of the new coats for cash. They didn't need all of them. She shrugged though not saying anything.

Mika looked down at Sasha and held her hand out to help her up if her ankle hurt too much. She couldn't think of where to go to change clothes. Probably at the food bank bathroom or something like that. She wasn't really hungry, she never felt much when she was depressed. Now that Sasha was here though her depression acted a bit different. She would try to do what Sasha wanted her to do to keep her friend even if it was with a half hearted slow attitude. It was rough for her, but she tried more with a friend here.

When they got the food bank Mika trudged off to change her wet clothes in the bathroom. The new ones wouldn't fit her. They were for a much taller woman, but she could rolls pant legs up and such if needed.

Mika came out in a pair of jeans that were rolled up and a green t-shirt. She kept her old green military jack on. The inside wasn't as wet as the outside and she preferred it too the other coats. She had her wet clothes in the plastic grocery bag she'd brought. She liked her old fashion better. It's been a mor raggedy baggy style and had hidden her body better. With her jacket zipped up her form was relatively well hidden, but still she liked her old stuff better.

Casper hugged his little brother and sister good bye and they went to work. He honestly was getting bored of the whole routine. Go and volunteer, go home. They had to volunteer during all their off time until the end of the year. The end of the year!

The day dragged on only making Casper feel more irratible. He hadn't slept too well and he was annoyed at his brother. He also was unhappy about this work. He looked up when the two girls came in. The red head was limping. The other girl and went to the bathroom and came out in different clothes, but the same jacket.

"What was the red head's name?" Casper asked his brother.​
 
Alex​
Alex sighed as she limped. She knew Lyss was in her depressed mood,but with her ankle. She needed help. When Lyss offered her hand. She took it and stood." You know life Isn't as depressing as you make everything out to be." She scolded her. Ale hated that Lyss was always being such a downer. She ha her moments. However at least she contributed and did things. At the moment she couldn't she was basically useless with her ankle.

When they got to the food bank Alex let her go change and limped for the food line. She winced as she walked her foot felt like it was throbbing. She frowned and kept the coat wrapped around her body tightly. She was still cold and probably fighting a fever as she shivers. Must of gotten really sick out in the cold. She looked over a Lyss joined her. She handed her a tray

Once at the stands. She thanked each person for the meal. She saw the boy's and thanks them as well. She knew they took time to help out here. She wondered why. Why would two rich guys take time to help the homeless. Normally the rich didn't care at all. When they sat. She took most of the food and pocketed it in a napkin for the animals. She ate little, more then usual. She picked at it and felt. Sick.

Alex made her way out of the place and coughed as she puked into a trash can. She sighed and slipped to the ground in pain. She sighed her whole body ached."I think I will just head home." She said to Lyss when she joined her finally. She got up slowly and limped for the bridge. She got things to start a fire.

Justin ​

Justin sighed as he worked. He just wanted to go home. He wanted to be away from his twin. He shrugged as twin " she said her name was Alex from what I caught." He said. He watches the red head limp.and thank him. Sh looked paler then when she had been at the house that morning. He served and watched her eat less than normal.

When she ran slash limped quickly out he frowned. He however had been really watching the girl with her. He was curious as to what her story was. He sighed and looked at his brother. They finally found got off early afternoon and he decided he wanted to go home instead of go do anything else. He sat in his car and waited on his twin. He was going to go home and spend sometime with Lily. She missed having him around.

Mika watched Sasha worriedly. She seemed ill. Mika got herself some food. She ate what she wanted and then followed Sasha out when she left. She leaned against the wall and watched her throw up. They should probably go a doctor, but they didn't have the money. There were free clinics, but that didn't mean they handed out free medications.

Mika attempted to shake her depressive mood, though she couldn't really. She grabbed her friend's hand and helped her up. Maybe they could find a shelter to stay at tonight. She started back towards their home. She planned on tucking Sasha in and maybe go out and 'find' some meds or something. If she had the energy.

Casper nodded. He smiled at the girls,

"Enjoy your food, Miss Alex." he said to Alex. She only said thank you though, like she did with everyone else. He watched her, she looked pale and hadn't eaten as much. He barely noticed when her friend came through the line and got food as he watched Alex leave. After they were done he went out and got in the car,

"Did Alex look that ill this morning?" he asked his brother​
 
Alex​

Alex walked with her friend back to the bridge. She hated the aches and pains of being sick. She groaned and when they got Back. She fed the dogs and set up the would shaking. She dis her best to start it. She coughed and tried not throw up again she leaned on the bridge and just closed her eye's as her body shivered. She wasn't cold persay. She coughed again and took in the shaky breath.

She cleared her throat and licked her dry lips gently. She finally curled into a ball close to the fire and tried to sleep, her ankle hurt and she felt like everything was in pain she had some flu and tried to not throw up again. It definitely was a horrible feeling and taste. She didn't want Lyss to get sick." You really should not get to close to me., don't want you sick " She said shaking. Her body was warm yet she was freezing and shaking. She new it was just a fever and that she should sleep it off. She closed her eyes again trying to sleep. She could get something worse just being in the cold, she however didn't care. She was a street kid that's all she was to people if she died of sickness one less mouth to feed is how the world viewed it when you homeless person passed.

Justin​

Justin looked at his brother and shook his head. He started the car."no she seemed perfectly healthy to me." He said." Just her ankle." He said as he drove home. They paid the baby sitter when they got home. He showered and walked around holding lily." Maybe we should go see if she is okay" he said to his twin.


He held Lily as she clung to him."was that your girlfriend?" She asked Justin."no just a lady in need." He said." She could be considered a lady I know and was helping her I however would never date her." He said and held her."it's good to help those in need." He told his sister.

Mika got the blanket they had and tossed it over Sasha. She grabbed some of the extra coats and put them on top of her too. Mika sat down next to her for a few moments, trying to make herself get up again. She should go get some medicine for Sasha. They also needed to fix up their home with the plywood, probably should start a fire too. Mika lay down and stared at the bridge, she felt overwhelmed with all the things she knew she should do, but the depression seemed to sap her energy.

Mika slowly sat up. She made sure Sasha was covered up and sighed,

"Gonna go find meds." she mumbled standing up. She made sure the animals were tucked in before trudging off her feet dragging as she headed towards the local CVS or some such drug store. She could steal some stuff from there, especially since it was Black Friday it wasn't like anyone would notice if she snuck some flu medication out. They'd be too busy dealing with all the customers and not getting trampled.

Casper glanced up,

"It's Black Friday and it's freezing out." he pointed out. Casper sighed, it would be nice, but also there had been enough traffic getting home due to the Black Friday sales and the streets were icy. He really didn't feel like going out again.

"If she doesn't show at the shelter tomorrow and her friend doesn't show we can go see if everything's OK. Now it'd just seem like stalking." Casper said as he helped Oli clean up his room. He made the boy's bed while Oli picked his toys up.​
 
Alex​
Alex nods her head when her friend says she was going to look for medicine. "Be safe." She mumbled. She lay their and kept her eyes closed as she fell into an uncomfortable sleep. Alex never actually got sick however. This was a bad sign her getting sick. She just wished she would feel better so she could try and make the bridge warm.

She sniffed and wrapped the blankets tighter around her. She just shivered and tried her best to sleep and just hide from the cold. She looked up when the dog whined and groaned as she moved to go puke again.

Justin​

Justin sighed and nods to his twin as he held onto lily. She was bounced in his arms. He stretched and sighed."alright miss you let's go play." He said. He winked at his sister and walked away. He went to play with her.

Justin tired her out by chasing her around the house."alright bath time you." He said and went to start the bath. Justin got her inside and washed her hair. He laughed as she splashed about. He got her clean then put her in pajamas." Alright dinner brush your teeth then bed time. She said.

Mika snuck into the drug store. She stuck some flu medicine and fever medicine under her coat. She tried to find anti depressants she wouldn't have to get a prescription for, but couldn't.

Mika headed out in the crowd and started the gray cold walk home. She ducked under the bridge and sat down tapping Sasha's shoulder. The young Russian took the meds out and handed them too Sasha. Mika could g read or write English and only knew what she got was for fevers and flu because she'd heard the lady next to her talking about it.

"Got meds." She mumbled dully.

Casper had made dinner again and Oli had 'helped' him wash up afterwards. Casper helped Oli get ready for bed and tucked his little brother in.

"Night night, Oli. Sleep well, bud." He said. He went and got ready for bed before reading the note his father left.

Tomorrow they were volunteering at the shelter for mentally disabled homeless people. In the evening they'd be at the food bank again. Casper frowned. He didn't know they even had a center fo mentally disabled homeless.
 
Alex​
Alex was curled up not really able to move. She was to weak to. Her body had given up shivering all together. She heard her friend come back and reached for the medicine slowly and thanked her. She read it the best she could and took the dose. Alex lay there and just layet listless l. She closed her eye's smiling. She was dreaming of the summer's with her old crew she use to hang with.

Alex's breathing had become shallow under the blankets. She was walking with James and the others. The sun beating down on them."well we doing it tonight." She asked they nod James put an arm over her and nods. "Yeah let's get ready." He said and pulled Alex along. She hugged him and they walked for their old place in an abandoned building that was no longer abandoned.


Justin

Justin got his sister ready for bed. He put her to bed and smiled as he read to her and she fell asleep. He finished and walked out of the room.

He stretched and went to work out again before bed. He did miss hanging with Lily and Oli all day. He wanted to hang with them more. Maybe get his parents to lighten up on them going if he asks if he can stay and baby sit the two younger kids.​

Mika heard Sasha mumbling and frowned. She seemed a bit delirious...like she was going totally bonkers or something. Mika didn't know how to help though. She put some more coats on top of Sasha to keep her warm and lay down next to her. It was late...hopefully Sasha would feel better in the morning.

Mika only had the cost she had one because she put the rest on or around Sasha to keep her comfortable and warm. She curled up tightly and started to rock as she tried to get some sleep. Her depression wasn't gone, but she had managed to somehow get the energy to help her friend. Now though she was struggling again maybe sleep would help.

Casper sighed when his brother left to work out. He felt annoyed that Justin just left for exercising without asking. He had honestly wanted to go to the gym, but now he couldn't because he had to stay home and watch the little ones even though they were sleeping.

Casper went to watch TV until Justin got back. He flipped boredly through the channels while he thought. What if something was really wrong with Alex?
 
Alex
Alex had slept through the night mostly sleeping on and off puking. she was curled up in her blanket as the next day rolled around. She just lay their and shivered. her fever hadn't broken. She couldn't think or see Straight."Lyss you should go you don't need to catch this." She mumbled quietly.​

Justin

Justin came back from the gym showered and went to eat. he went to go lay down and sleep. in the morning he woke with his sister curled into him. He just sighed and ignored his alarm he didn't want to go today. he got with Lily to the shelter to see if the girls show up but he was needing a break and wanted to spend time with his siblings. He called his parents and say he got sick or what ever or was doing something else helping the less fortunate

Mika sat up worried. She'd hoped the medication would work. She bit her lip frowning as she thought. She didn't know how to make sick people better! She stood up, her depression was still lingering, but she was dragging herself out of it a little bit. She knew after Sasha was better she'd probably totally crash, but at least she was forcing herself to function right?

"Gonna go get some food for us." Mika mumbled. Maybe she'd drop by the drug store again too, find something that could help. Mika headed towards the drug store first.

Casper yanked his clothes on and headed for the car. They still had volunteering today. He didn't want to do it, he was tired and bored of it.
"JUSTIN!" he shouted, "LETS GO! WE HAVE THE SPECIAL NEEDS CENTER AND FOOD BANK TODAY!" he yelled, getting a little annoyed.
 
Alex

Alex just nodded her head weakly. He lay in the blanket and sighed. She looked at her friend leave and went back to trying to sleep. She slept on and off while her friend was gone. She couldn't move much her body was a bit limp. She just lay and shook under her blankets the dog curled into her and licked her with his warm tongue. He whimpered as he settled down as he watches over his sick owner.

Justin

Justin sighed." I am not going I watching the kids today." He said to his brother and just curled around his younger sister." I'll talk to mom and dad about it later today." He said and sighed. He really did not want to go. He wanted to spend time with his siblings. he hated being forced to do this.
 
~CASPER~

"The babysitter is watching the kids. Besides we were going to check on Alex and her friend today." he pointed out. He sounded annoyed. Who did Justin think he was? His parents had specifically told them they had to complete all their volunteer slots or they'd be cut off and made to figure life out themselves. Did Justin just think those rules didn't apply to him? Casper gave an annoyed shrug. Whatever if Justin wanted to get kicked out, he could get kicked out.

Casper got into his car and drove to the Special Needs Center for the homeless to start work.

~MIKA~

Mika was running. She'd been caught trying to steal some more meds in the CVS and they'd called the cops. The security guard was chasing her. Mika tried to get away, turning down some alleys and running hard, but he cornered her and cuffed her. A cop car pulled up and Mika was dragged off to lock up.

Mika was freaking out. They were going to find out she wasn't a citizen and kick her out! She was pushed into the main holding cell with the drunks and other normal non-high security new prisoners to wait to be seen by the judge.
 
Alex

Alex woke she was still freezing and basically half dead. Her friend had not returned. she was worried for her. If the girl had been caught she couldn't save her in this state. She was sick and it could be deadly. she however got up and stumbled her way to the road. She shook as she did, she had the animals follow her. She saw a car flying closer and closer " Help.." She said in a hoarse voice. She did not know it was casper.

Justin

Justin sighed and got up. He let lily laying his bed. He showered and went to go after his annoying brother. He caught up easily and had to slam on his breaks as he saw the girl stumble into the road. He stopped next to his brother and frowned as he got out. He ran over seeing the girl. He looked at the animals behind he all huddling together. She coughed and drew in a rattling breath.
 
~CASPER~

Casper pulled over quickly when he saw someone stumble into the road behind his car. He heard his brother's brakes screech as he got out of the car ran to see what was wrong. It was Alex! He knelt down and looked at her, she looked very sick. She was pale except her cheeks were flushed, her breathing sounded awful, all in all she looked awful.
Casper thought that maybe she had a really bad respiratory infection...maybe the flu?
"Dude, we gotta get her to a hospital." he told his twin brother. "Let's get her in my car I think I have a blanket in there." he added.

~MIKA~

Mika was sitting on the little bench in the holding cell. She had her arms crossed tightly on her chest and was rocking slightly. There were a lot of people in the holding cell so she would be there a while before she even got to see a judge. Plus she'd been stealing drugs, sos he knew she was in trouble.
Mika was very worried about Sasha. Her depression which was coming in waves was right now making her not care what happened to her, she just couldn't get herself to care, but in the back of her mind she knew Sasha was really sick and that worried her.
