Lyn smirked at hearing what the person said but kept walking untill she reached and tree and sat down against it. She rested her head back against it and sighed. "After all that we've been through... After all this time I am coming home to you." She sang to herself. She loved singing and music in general. She wished she could get her guitar but she didn't want the mistress to yell at her.

Damian got to his feet once more just as it started to rain. The bell rang for all to go to the dinning hall. One of the many rules of this school was all ate breakfast and dinner together. The Head Mistress wanted everyone to think of this as one big family. Everyone was arranged by your dorm or house. But it seemed Damian sat alone at his own table. Reasons were unknow to him.

(Kinda like harry potter only each dorm has a certain race.)

Cenric went over to the corner of a court yard after the Headmistress stopped speaking. Normally he wouldn’t have bothered to even come to the opening of the school year, but his sister back home had demanded he at least try to be respectable in this new school. They might teach you something new, she’d commented. Cenric doubted that, but he’d try for his siblings… for a little while at least. He leaned his back against the wall and took out his sketch pad. Instead of being filled with beautiful drawings it had a bunch of schematics and designs on every page. The bat hummed to himself as he started to work on the tiny robot he wanted to create.

He was so involved with his work that he didn’t notice anything happening around him until the bell to dinner. “Food,” he muttered with a grin and put his sketch book away. He unconsciously undid his royal purple tie. He stuck his tongue out and caught a raindrop before heading inside. He blinked as he looked around the hall. Cenric hesitated and wondered suddenly if he’d missed where he was supposed to sit. He remembered reading about his dorm room, but couldn’t seem to bring it to mind. He’d been far too busy attempting to pull apart the lamp shade at home to pay attention to his brother demanding he memorize a bunch of facts.

Damian leaned back against the wall as he sat alone. His table was close to the table at the front of the room which has headmistress and a few other head of departments. The workers brought out a large fest for everyone consisting of everything. Depending on race was what you got. Set in front of Damian was a rare steak with green beans and a glass of cold blood in a wine glass.

(Some can only eat certain things. Kinda why I have house set up.)

Cenric lit up as he recognized his diet being served on a table further back from the front. He was quite happy to sit down and sample the fruits that had been laid out. At least his parents had remembered to inform the school that he was unable to digest any meat. Unsure if he was supposed to wait for the rest of the student body in order to eat he glanced at the people in the dining area. He saw one student sitting alone at a table, and a few others but the hall was fairly empty. He twitched a bit and snuck a blueberry from one of the serving plates to pop in his mouth.

Lyn sat alone at one of the tables as she quietly ate what looked like fully cooked mean and everything a normal human ate. At first glance the girl did look completely human and even up close she looked completely human. She was decieveing in appearence all the way around. She was even approached by some of the teachers to ask if she was lost and she just smiled and then they realized. Most of the other people had somthing different about them but her skin was unblemished and not even a marking was on her that spoke of her blood line. She wouldn't be surprised if she was preyed on and just consigned with keeping to herself.

Damian watched as the room filled up. Yet he still sat alone. "Welcome everyone!" Headmistresses Griffin says with a smile "I do hope your tour of the castle was fun. Now remember students Friday is the first day of school. Which means you have the rest of this week to figure out your classes and the other activities of the school. Most clubs will be looking for new members all week. Also this is your time to try out for any sports." This was the same old same old and Damian you doesn't remember much of any thing up till a week ago didn't want to hear more.

A week ago he had woken up from the chambers of the once king. He had no clue to who he was or what he was but the headmistress expanded something's.

Vivian entered the large room with an air of disinterest, "God I hate these things." She murmured under her breath as she sat down at an empty table scanning the room for something or someone to catch her eye.

Damain who was currently scaning the room to see who was who connected eyes with a girl,Vivian, he didn't know.

She kept the eye contact, raising a perfectly shaped eyebrow in return. "I wonder who this guy is..." Vivian thought.

Damian then looked down at his food that was half gone. He really didn't have much more of an apitie. He finished his wine glass of blood and waited for the Headmistress to speak about a few rules. She stood to her feet. "After dinner we allow free time to do what ever that is allowed by rules however for the safety of students all must be in dorms by 8pm." She says looking around at the students. "You may now be dismissed."

Damian got up with a sigh. He had nothing better to do and quite frankly didn't want to be around these people. So he walked to his dorm which happened to the the room the lord of the castle would get. He picked up his violin and begin to play on his balcony which over looked the central garden.

Katrina wondered the central garden her white hooded half shawl covering the back of her head. A black tie hung down below showing that she was a 7th year. She reached one of her fingerless fur gloved hands up and brushed back some white hair from her startling silver blue eyes. She stopped turning to where the violin music was coming from a small smile gracing her angelic like features. She looked at the young man playing the violin and somewhat recognized some of his features.

Damian played the sad melody as he slightly danced around. His eyes were closed and he seemed lost in the music. The sad song seemed to match the rain which started to fall soon after he started. As rain hit the bow which he used to play it lit into a beautiful blue flame. The flamed bow seemed to dance as he played his rather said melody.

(Long post is long, but the first paragraph is me trying to catch up.)

Ayame was dazed by how fast the day was going; one second she was listening to the Headmistress with everyone else, then the next, a bell had rung for what she soon found to be dinner. As she made her way to dining room, she had seen everyone sitting at different tables served with the diets of the different races, and had found a table with what looked like the offerings her mother had gotten. Of course, a few seconds after she finished eating, the Headmistress spoke again. 8 o' clock, they had a fair mount of time, then; at least she did, anyway.

Getting her thoughts together, Ayame stood up and exited the room. Though she was just in the hallway, her keen ears picked up the melancholy tone of a violin. Violins. She'd heard them in Ireland and England when her father had taken her to meet her paternal family, even heard a few when she was in Japan, and now was hearing another in this country she forgot the name of. A thought flickered through her mind while she made her way through the school: “Were violins everywhere?”

“Maybe.” She thought in answer, as she stepped out into the rainy central garden, making sure her ears and tail were hidden. It didn't seem to matter what species she was here, but she'd rather not be known as the girl who smelled like wet dog on the first day. She soon regretted walking out, but covered her head with her arms to help deflect some of the rain. Besides, it probably wasn't all that bad, as she noticed two others out in the rain as well.

Her eye was caught by the male who was playing the violin. Her mouth went slightly agape when she saw the blue flame that seemed to dance on the male's violin. It was beautiful, like a scene from a movie.

Sumiko began fiddling with his hair as the violin music played. It's gently romantic melody made his eyes water. Appoggiatura caused him to cry ever so silently, which slightly irked him. He loved an emotional piece, but god, that was a bit cheap. Eh, if he wanted to make people cry, then so be it. It wasn't like Sumiko was all that bothered about crying amongst other students, even if this was his first day. He remembered when his Dad taught him how to play the violin. It must have been mandatory for all Nøkken, or they weren't doing their job. Heh, Sumiko was a fan of the more alluring, joyous pieces, but for now, this would do. His head swayed from side to side, ever so gently, and as his eyes met with the blue flame, as well as the teary music, seemed to spring his memories back into his, so he decided to let his hair droop over his face, to hide the puffy red, teary mess from others.

Jesus, this music was doing it's job.

Lyn stood up and began to leave the cafeteria to where everyone else was going. In the distacne she heard the gentle melody of a Violin being played and let a slight smirk go across her face. She walked out into the open area and saw the group standing around one man playing a Violin. She tilted her head to the side slightly before brushing her bangs out of her eyes. She wasn't swayed by the power of the music and simply walked into the ground and smiled "Its lovely..." She said breaking the silence.

Damian opened his eyes as his song came to an end. The rain slowed to a stop and the flame faded as did his song. He took a deep breath and looked to the sky. He didn't even notice the people watching until that one person clapped.

Cenric got up from the table after he had finished eating. He was happily full. He began to wander the halls to find some sort of inspiration or fun. His ears twitched as he heard the violin music float down from the central garden. He stopped in the door way, unwilling to go out into the rain. He leaned against the wall and closed his eyes. The melancholy music flowed through him. He opened his eyes when it stopped.

He moved out from the doorway onto the wet grass and grinned when he heard the clapping. There was something that was magical about music. He could appreciate it even if he couldn't play any instruments. He started clapping as well.

Katrina had been transfixed on the way he created a blue flame as he played. The rain hadn't bothered her really and as it died down the young man's playing had slowed to a gentle stop. Katrina began clapping and offered up a gentle smile to him before heading into the same dorms as him. Her suitcase being pulled behind her as she entered the building a bit apprehensively not really know what to expect.

Damian looked down at the sudden clapping. He didn't even realise they had been watching. This was a surprise that they even applied. He took a slight bow and flames dances around the ones who clapped. This was a special fire that only burns what the user wishes it to burn. The flames vanish as soon as he does.

He had walked into his room and placed the violin back in its case. Feeling a boil in his blood he falls to the ground in excruciating pain. He had never felt anything like this as far as he could remember but that was before his head began to pound. Things began to flash before his eyes.

*memory*

"Lord Damian Von Voltaire" yelled a man rushing to his side.

"Its bad news Sire. Your blood is a poison. That is why those of your blood line don't live very long." Said the same man.

*ending*

Flashes of one man saying things to him filled his head. And before he knew it everything was dark and he lied in the middle of his room out cold.
