Untouched

"That's strange. I've never heard of that be--" Allison cut herself off as she caught on. Her thoughts were everywhere and, at the same time, her mind was completely blank. She didn't know how to respond. Her feelings were too tangled to make out. "U-Uh....," she stuttered before trailing off, blushing a lot. Suddenly, she ran into the shop, head hanging down to hide her blush. Hopefully, Kevin was just joking and they could forget about it all. The thought made Allison a bit saddened. It seemed that she did want to be with Kevin, but she was afriad.

"I-Allison?" He asked, his head hanging low with a sigh. He jumped up onto the roof, sitting down. "I was just joking..." He mumbled to himself.

Allison had gotten Lucas's treats and was walking back out of the shop. Her cheeks had cooled down as she chatted with the kid. She had noticed that Kevin wasn't behind her like before when she entered the store. As she said her goodbyes and made sure that Lucas was safe, she glanced up at the sky with a sigh. It seemed that the girl could never have friends...or more without screwing it up in some way.

A flash of something on the roof caught her attention. "....Kevin?" She called out in a soft tone, hoping against hope that it was him. Maybe she could fix this before it got worse!

"You called?" He asked, jumping down to the floor.

Athena smiled and nodded at the girl "Yes it is quite funny and the fact that he thinks he can take on a trained hunter." she winked at the girl and turned her attention back to the poacher. "So Sir unless you want to become food for the creatures of the forest i suggest you leave now." she grinned at him of course she wasnt going to let him go even if he decided to run. For one he had threatened the pretty young lady and for the other he had poached in her cherished forest and that was unforgivable. "Now i will give you to the count of three before i let loose my arrow and it finds its way to your throat." she glared at him her whole body rigid as she prepared the shot. "One...Two..." Taking a deep breath she slowed her heartbeat and waited as she started to say three.
((I'm sorry if quoting bothers you. I'm just having a hard time keeping up with are local lovebirds-- cats... felines))

"You aren't going to kill him are you?" Mryllica stopped her before she got to three, a questioning but still jolly look on her face. The poacher turned to give her the most inquisitive look in existence, but she ignored it. "If you have a personal vendetta, then go right ahead, I won't interfere. But, a life is a horrible thing to waste. You always could turn him in to the guard. Then they could interrogate him for other poachers and put him to civic use serving the populations instead of harming them." She giggled, "I mean he's still here and he's healthy. Let's put him to good use. Waste not, want not." She gave him sly look and giggled, making him grind his teeth in frustration.

"You'd do good not to talk to me like I'm not here, you stinking mermaid," he spat at her.

"Silly man, mermaids have tails and can't come on land. I'm a siren. Entirely different."

Allison wrung her hands together as her weight shifted from foot to foot. "I wanted to say that I'm sorry. For running off like that," she apologized. "You just caught me off guard because I actually really like you, but people don't usually like me back and I should probably shut up and go because you were probably joking and now this is awkward."

"Wait," he started, holding out his hand. "You like me?" He asked quietly, looking from her eyes to the ground. He no doubt had a tinge of red on his cheeks, and he was trying to hide it. 'I...I just met her...she can't be serious?' He thought shakily.

((No its fine hun :) ))

Athena looked at her then smiled as she let loose her arrow aiming it perfectly so it when through his leg and stuck to the ground behind him. "Hmm you sir a very lucky man." she nodded at Myrllica as she walked forward. "Ya see if the lady wasnt here youd have been dead a while ago but because shes so nice you get to visit the gaurds and live." she smiled and reached him taking the knife quickly then pushing him so he fell down. "Now mam if youd be so kind tie his hands up for me." she handed her a bit of rope then stepped back her tail swishing. "And sir if ever catch you in these woods again the Earth will get some new mulch am i understood." she glared at him then took a moment to think. "Will you be alright if i leave you with him while i go get the gaurds." she smiled and looked at her.

[Haha. Sorry, guys!]

Allison laughed nervously at his question. "Uh, I...yeah, that's what I said," she answered. "But you don't like me back, right? So we should just forget the whole thing. Unless....," she trailed off, missing Kevin's blushing. 'He does like me back,' she finished in her thoughts.

Kevin's eyes came to hers as he slowly looked up, and his blushed might have darkened. "I...I did say you were a fairy princess, and although that might sound weird..." He mumbled, shrugging. She was beautiful, after all. 'I'n just making this worse. 'Goodbye, Kevin!' He thought.

Allison had a feeling that she knew what he meant, but she didn't want to jump to conclusions. "Although....?" She said as she made an encouraging gesture, urging for the Kitsune to go on. If she were to get rejected, she'd rather that it'd be now than later so it won't hurt as much.

"I just think you're a wonderful girl so far." He mumbled, looking away again. His tails were hanging low, his ears pressed nearly flat to his head.

Allison could sense how down Kevin was, see it in his body language. She let a small smile slip on her face. "It's okay! Like I said, we can just forget about everything," she said, trying to let the Kitsune know that she was fine. "We can be friends! Best of friends, maybe."

"That would be wonderful...would you like to get a coffee later or now?" He asked, smiling at her now.

The poacher sneered as Mryllica happily tied together his wrists behind his back. After she had secured a knot, she even gave it a nice bow. "It would be a privilege, friend," she spoke to her savior. She glanced back up at her, "By the way, thank you for your help. I'm Mryllica."

"Well, aren't you just a happy ball of sunshine," the poacher remarked sarcastically at the siren.

"Excuse me," she said back matter-of-factly, "if I were sunshine, you'd burn to death."

Athena nodded at her and smiled "Im Athena and ill be back" she turned around and headed back towards the city. Hearing what Mryllica had to say to the poacher she couldnt help but laugh as she walked away. After about half an hour she returned to the girl and poacher with a group of guards behind her. "And here is your poacher and would be murderer." She watched as they picked him up and started to walk away "Oh and heres his terrible traps make sure theyre destroyed." she handed them a bundle of nasty looking traps before turning back to the Siren "So Mryllica was it may i escort you home id feel better if i did but if you feel your ok by yourself i wont push." Athena smiled at her as she looked around.

"We can get coffee now. I think I'm really in need of one," Allison responded, returning his smile. She could definitely use a coffee. Or, two. Possibly three. Today has been a stressful one.

"I think there's a coffee shop right around the corner," he stated, looking around. He spotted a coffee shop a few shops down and began walking, his tails swaying lazily again.

Mryllica hummed as she thought about Athena's offer, putting a finger on her cheek. "Well, you could, but I live quite a ways away on the other side on the lake. I've never had trouble before, but if it'd make you feel better you could come along." She gave a bright smile, "I could make you dinner as payment for everything you've done for me. If you want to come, that is." She threw her knapsack over her shoulder and stood up, with her hand on her hip. "So what do you say? You'd get an ocean side view and fish cooked by a master," she added, raising her eyebrow.

Allison followed his lead, enjoying the silence that fell around them. It wasn't as awkward as she expected it to be. And she expected it to be extremely awkward after their conversation. But it turned out to be comfortable. Relaxing, even! These were the kind of silences that Allison loved.
