" [FONT=&quot]When your life has no meaning, what do you do? That's the question I've asked myself for the past twelve years. It wasn't really prominent when I was younger, I was like all the other children; hoping to be a ballerina or a doctor, waiting for Christmas to see Santa, or hoping to get a puppy for my birthday. But then, then it all changed.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]I was thirteen years old, it was the seventeenth of October; not really a special day. I was walking home from dance practice, the leaves were falling, and the sky was blue; normal, right? Wrong. I was being watched. At the time I didn't know it, I was a newly oblivious teenager, I didn't know anything. I kept on walking, eager to get home to watch the new science television program on the TV. I was a block from my house, just had to pass by a back alley and then there was my street, the second house on the left. I was so close I could almost smell the cooking dinner in the kitchen. [/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]Right when I stepped by the opening of the alley, my eyes were covered, along with my mouth. I tried to scream, and I struggled, but it was useless. My captor was much stronger than my weak thirteen year old female body. I heard a whisper in my ear. "Don't struggle and you won't be killed." The voice was male, and rather soft for how strong this unknown person was. I grew limp, investing far too much trust in his statement. I heard him chuckle, and he slightly relaxed his grip on me, and then spoke again.[/FONT]
[FONT=&quot]"This will be quick, a little bit of pain, but it will be worth it. I promise. I'm going to remove my hand from your mouth, if you scream, I will have no choice but to kill you, do you understand?" He asked sternly, and I nodded my head, my eyes still engulfed in darkness, I slowly felt the big hand move from my mouth, and exhaled a breath I didn't know I was holding. His grip on me still was tight. I spoke slowly. " Please, don't kill me…or worse, I don't know…what's going on…" I bit my lip and waited for his words. "You don't need to know my name, yet. But, I will tell you that I have watched over you since you were born, you are not a normal girl, you are a Deletaine; a being of different elements that harbors the powers of one animal demon inside of you. Your Deletaine blood is lying dormant, ever since someone quelled your powers. This shot I have in my hand will release the bonds on the animal demon inside of you, releasing your Deletaine powers." Before I even had a chance to speak, I felt a sharp but quick pain in my neck, and then the darkness was washed away from my eyes, but only after a quick kiss brushed my lips, and my name was whispered to the wind. "
