UH Part 1:Chapter 1-3, Chapter 4-5
UH Part 1 Ooc: Chapter 1-3, Chapter 4-5

Brief History

2001

It was a year that caused a big impact to America.

However, the twin towers were not the only thing that changed the future of the United States. Instead of being broadcasted nationwide, the happenings of the Sierra Project were kept secret. A small team of scientists under the watchful eyes of the U.S. Military went out to find a way to enhance human performance to prepare themselves for the future. However, instead of finding enhancements that could allow a person to grow physically stronger than normal or allow a person to be able to survive harsher terrains they may face during war, they created something much more than they could ever dream. A serum was created with the properties capable of giving abilities never before seen in humans

After the original group (nicknamed Generation Alpha) was tested and the serum perfected, the Sierra Project moved to phase two with the introduction of Generation Bravo in 2004. A group of ten were chosen to accomplish tasks deemed impossible by normal humans. However, things didn't go as everyone expected as Gen. Bravo was decommissioned and the Sierra Project was shut down in 2008.

Now it is 2014.

On Saturday, May 3rd, a few people that previously worked on the Sierra Project became restless. They broke away from their original group, taking three of the remaining ten vials of the serum with them. The Reformers, as they called themselves, had only just begun to set their plan into action when their plans fell through due to a minor bus accident in New York city. One of the vials broke during the accident, which allowed the gas produced from the vial to seep out and spread throughout the bus. Without their realizing, it affected about a quarter of the people on board or nearby. Burger flipping teens, a first year middle school teacher, a recently divorced alcoholic, a tourist from Canada; just a group of average, everyday people who are soon going to be thrust into a situation they might only have imagined.

Throughout the first few months of being exposed to the serum chaos endured. From being kidnapped, multiple times for some individuals, the Charlies had a rough start as they began to learn more about their new abilities and came to the realization that the two groups vying for control of them are not as black and white as they hoped as the majority of the group joined the Reformers. The internal strife between the members of the group left a tension that grew every day which not only left an upcoming mission given to the group canceled but caused the departure of Cameron. He took the remaining two vials of serum with him and nothing has been heard from him since. It has been six months since the Charlies have been exposed to the serum and four months since Cameron has gone underground but signs are appearing that he might be active again and have plans on using one of the vials if he hasn't done so already.

Welcome to the rebirth of the Sierra Project.

Don't screw things up any further.

  • Rules and Guidelines
There are three main points to take into consideration when it comes to UH. Posts, characters and group conduct.

    Posts
Speed and quality are two major points to take account

    Posting Speed
    • Until otherwise stated the start of the round will begin Monday and will last one week until Sunday, 11:59pm PST.
    • If you miss a round you will be skipped for that round. Life gets in the way and that is fine. After the second round we will check in and see how things are going to see if you need some help or time. However if you reach the point of three rounds in a row without any notice you will then be booted out.
    • If you will be unable to post, state so in the ooc so that everyone knows. If you are going to be missing multiple rounds please let Weaver and Rina know so arrangements can be made so that the three strike rule doesn't take effect.
    • If circumstance doesn't allow it, a pm or skype conversation with Weaver and Rina is acceptable
    Posting Quality
    • This is an Adept level roleplay and it is expected that everyone aim for that level as a minimum. If you are unsure what the requirements are for Adept, you can find them here.
    • Coinciding with this, post should include spatial and temporal details, as well as action and reaction to move the plot along.
    • A minimum of two full paragraphs are required in your posts.
    • If you need help with this at any point in the roleplay, feel free to chat with one of the GMs or the other roleplayers. We want posts to have enough substance to work off each other but this isn't meant to hinder your ability to post.
    Characters
    • In UH we have three main types of NPCs that will be in play which can be seen in the NPC Guideline. Unless given permission for a certain NPC to do so otherwise, players must adhere to the guideline.
    • Player made NPC with an NPC character sheet is played only by the creator and GMs if needed unless the player wants to allow others to use the NPC.
    • When creating a character, please into account how many characters are under 18 if you are going to be making a minor. There are only two slots available.
    • Abilities must be unique so please make sure not to have your character overlap another character or NPC. Please also adhere to the Abilities Guidelines when creating and playing your character.
    Group Conduct
    • The biggest success that kept UH running well is the mature behavior between players in the IC, Ooc as well as Skype. Discussions and debates are fine as long as it doesn't come to a point of harming the roleplay.
    • What the GMs say is final but they are not the only one with a voice. Concerns, comments and suggestions are always welcomed.
    • Skype has a heavy influence in this roleplay both in terms of the actual roleplay and group cohesion and bonding. Although it isn't mandatory, taking part of it is suggested since this is also the best way to contact the GMs

  • Gen. Alpha - The first group of Supers that were made from the Serum. Although the total amount of people that were a part of this generation is unknown, it is known that many died from the Serum or died shortly afterwards with only a few Alphas still around to this day. It is rumored that the higher concentration within the Serum that killed many of the individuals that were used for the Serum is also the same reason that out of the other Generations, those from Gen. Alphas have the strongest powers.

Gen. Bravo - After the Serum was perfected, ten individuals highly trained in different aspects were chosen to form a team to be be working alongside Person's men in 2004. These ten individuals were going to be the pioneers to a new future in stopping crime both internally as well as worldwide however plans have a tendency of going haywire which eventually led to the closure of the TSP.

Gen. Charlie - The third wave of Supers, this group is seen by Supers and TSP personnel alike as a band of misfits due to them being average citizens instead of highly trained personals or scientists as the first two generations were. No one is really sure what to expect from these people and if they will be a threat to the secret of the Sierra Project as well as becoming threat to themselves or others.

Gen. Delta - The fourth wave of Supers.

Levels (one, three and five) - Although the scientists that worked on the Sierra Project could have just called the Superpower growing stronger and such, they decided for the sake of science to classify the strength of power with one being the lowest, entry-level strength and five being the current highest rank although with the right circumstances there is a possibility of going past level five (more specifically if a level five Super had help from Daniel's power)

Reformers - Some see this group as terrorists while others see them as a group trying to stop the oppression TSP cause. Others (mainly grocery store owners) see them as a ravishing band of men obsessed with bacon and eggs. With their base located underground near a small town, the Reformers do their best to stay out of the sight of the TSP as they work on their plans for the future. Good, bad or crazy, they as well as the TSP know that they one of the main reasons the TSP was shut down in the first place.

Serum - Often found in a liquid state, under certain circumstances it can become a gas in which it is odorless, tasteless and nearly unnoticeable. This serum is only able to affect up to a quarter of the population at best by changing the DNA of a person which causes them to have abilities and certain body or mental achievements unattainable to normal humans. However this serum is not perfectly safe. There are still drawbacks caused by the serum, seen more in Gen. Alpha due to the strength of the serum used. Before the start of the roleplay there were only ten vials left in the possession of the TSP. Three have been stolen by the Reformers, one of which has broken. There are now two in the Reformers' possession and seven still with the TSP.

Sierra Project - It was said that the Sierra Project was formed by a group of scientists shortly after 2001 in hopes of bettering the future. Using the phonetic alphabet (which is also how the each generation got their names), they named the project of theirs after the aspiration of creating superheros (hint: S=Sierra in the phonetic alphabet). However when the government started to get involved things started to get messy and after the formation of Supers the Sierra Project was upgraded (or ruined coming from some perspectives) to the TSP.

Super - A person that was effected by the serum and thus has gained powers that is deemed impossible to humans.

Team Bravo - This is the team of Gen. Bravos as well as people that assist this group that are working for the TSP. In the past it was all ten Gen. Bravos and Carter but now with the formation of Reformers and a few Bravos flying solo the team consist of Carter, Richard, Tia, Ben and Aaron. Although Annie is technically not a part of Team Bravo she is usually clumped in that group as well.

TSP - Although the organization's name stands for The Sierra Project, most people won't use that name to avoid confusion with the Sierra Project which involved the formation of the serum. This group has two distinct parts in which one consist of Team Bravo while the other involves a more militaristic side of things with Pearson and the men and women under him. There is much to learn about this group and the history of what happened before TSP was shut down.

  • Here on Unlikely Heroes we use a color system to differentiate between three different categories to take out much of the hassle of who can do what to certain NPCs. As well as being marked in the NPC list, the first three posts when an NPC is introduced or changes in status, their name or distinguishable characteristic will be colored with either red, yellow or green.

NPCs in RED are going to be GM/Owner only NPCs
    • Important NPCs and villains that need to be played a certain way for the sake of the story will be in this category. The GMs will have full use of these NPCs even if they are NPCs made and used by another roleplayer if needed.

NPCs in YELLOW will need to have posts pre-approved
    • These will be regular tiered NPCs or villains that will be set into motion and played by the GMs (or a player if appropriate). With given consent for a post (or chapter in some cases) or having a post looked at by one of the GMs prior to posting (PM or Skype both of us), actions and dialogue from the NPC is okay.

NPCs in GREEN can be used by anyone
    • These will be regular or minor tiered NPCs or villains that will be set into motion and played by the GMs or a player if appropriate. Unless asked in the OOC not to use the NPC for a period of time (post or chapter), everyone can post actions and dialogue for the NPC as long as there is character continuity.

There will be no-name NPCs that won't have any of these three colors to start. They are NPCs that come and go as needed and can be introduced and used by anyone to fill in gaps and populate the roleplay (ex. shop clerk, TSP personnel, etc.)

Most reoccurring NPCs will be placed on a list with a minor description whilst the more important NPCs will be placed in the NPC Roster found below. If you are wanting to create an NPC or have an NPC that should be posted on the list, please notify the GMs.

For NPCs that require a character sheet, please use the sheet found in the prior tab.

  • Due to being overpowered or a power being held for a future NPC or character, these powers below will not be accepted. This is not a complete list and the GMs have the right to deny a power due to it being too OP or will be in use.

Chapter Recaps

Part One

  • A Week of Change

After a six year long hiatus, the events that took place when the Sierra Project continues as Carter, the man in charge of Team Bravo (a team of Gen. Bravos working for the TSP) rallies up his team after the sudden disappearance of three of the ten remaining vials of the serum that is capable of giving abilities to about a quarter of the people that come in contact with it. With suspicion that the Reformers (former TSP members that left for their own unknown cause) is the cause of the sudden disappearance, Carter heads to the Rocky Mountains in search of Tia, a level four Super with the ability communicate with electronics. During his discussion with Tia it is noted that Pearson, the militaristic man in charge of the TSP doesn't know about the vials as of yet and that they must be found before something is done with them.

As this is going on, a scene is unfolding in New York City as Dr. Wilson, a Gen Alpha that was also one of the original scientists involved before the Sierra Project, boards a bus with the three stolen vials as he prepares to meet with Cameron, one of the Gen Bravos. However, his plans changes as the bus crashes into a FedEx truck and unknown to him and everyone else on the bus, one of the vials breaks and an odorless, colorless and tasteless gas is released into the bus and affects some of the people on the bus as well as a few that happened to be near the bus. During the chaos, Dr. Wilson slips away and makes his way towards a park where Cameron, the leader of the Reformers, is already waiting. However to both of their surprise, one of the vials is broken and knowing that there's going to be new Supers appearing, the two quickly devise a plan to find the new generation of Supers, Gen Charlie.

As the two groups rush to find the Gen Charlies, people throughout the city are noticing changes within themselves as the serum starts to take an effect. Symptoms start off with a migraine and is followed by flu-like aches throughout the body, giving the Charlies a restless night of sleep. With all prior symptoms and pain gone the next day, a new symptom starts to appear that is beyond any explanation as their powers start to awaken ranging from a bad case of sandy hands to suddenly healing from injuries to even causing others pain. Throughout the week, some brush off the incidences as nothing more than coincidences and try to keep a hold of their jobs or survive on the streets while others ponder the thought of conferring a doctor or even a priest while some even decide to step up and stop a robbery at a store or even try to take on the role as a vigilante. Unbeknownst to all of them, great change is about to occur in each of their lives as the TSP and the Reformers each start to get closer to finding all of the Gen Charlies.

As Tia and Carter as well as Richard, Carter's assistant reach the nearly empty Headquarters, the trio meet Aaron and Annie, the newly married level three Pangolin Super/head doctor couple and Ben, the level four Super with powers over emotion. During a meeting Tia set up, she reveals that Dr. Wilson was the one who took the three stolen vials of serum and during the crash he was spotted in through traffic cameras and with the suspicion that one of the vials were administered, finding the affected civilians is vital. However before they could get far in their meeting, Tia is interrupted by Pearson, who is quite pissed at the situation at hand which during his conversation reveals that the reason the last ten vials of the serum wasn't destroyed but due to known reasons. With permission to track down the Gen Charlies, the temporarily reformed Team Bravo quickly works together as Pearson gathers his team, bringing the Headquarters back to life.

Meanwhile Dr. Wilson and Cameron rejoin the other three Gen. Bravo Supers that make up the rest of the members of the Reformers. Josiah, the level four Supers with the ability to teleport is sent to work with Daniel, a level three Super with the ability to track and amplify a Super's ability, to find the missing Charlies while Garret, a level three Super with the ability to stretch his body works with Dr. Wilson on a future plan.

To be continued in chapter two...

  • Within the Sandy Van and the Cell of Solitude

After a week of planning and chaos the two warring sides put their plan into motion as they scramble to gather as many of the Charlies as they can as the two sides learn that they are not the only ones out this night.

Keeping mobile, the Reformers work on loading in the van they've worked on all week to modify but between the sudden midnight disturbance from Josiah sedating and teleporting the Charlies into the van and sand being scattered throughout the van due to one of the Charlie's powers, the ride was far from comfortable even with Garret joining the Charlies as they woke up.

The TSP on the other hand tried to go for a more civil route by bringing Ben with Pearson's armed men to explain the situation with a little help from the empth's ability but the idea was quickly shot down which left the Charlies to face a team of armed men in uniform coming after them and found themselves waking up in a detaining cell with a few other Charlies.

Even with the sudden kidnapping, the night was unfortunately not over yet. Keeping track of where the other Charlies were heading, Daniel observed that they were being moved to the TSP's headquarters and not only that, the sudden disappearance of their presence was enough for him to know that they being kept in the cell which was made with anti-super technology which was made to keep a super contained. Hearing this news the Reformers alter their plans in hopes of retrieving all the Charlies. Daniel wasn't the only one on watch either and seeing the commotion the van was making throughout the city, Tia quickly found the Reformers and convinced the need send sending Sanders and his team to Pearson, she was able to get them to agree for Ben and Aaron to join them as well with the hopes of the added Supers would even things out as they worked on taking the Charlies as well.

As fast as modern technology could move the TSP, there was no way it could match the speed of teleportation. As Carter joined the Charlies to explain the situation and hopefully smooth out the bad first impression Sander's team made with the Charlies, a knock was heard at the door of the cell with Garret Daniel and Josiah waiting for him and being outmatched, easily transported the Charlies to the van.

The Reformers might be superior at that moment in person but when it came to the road, the funds the TSP received easily gave the organization the much needed edge to catch up to the van and knowing that the van wouldn't stopped, rant he van off the road and flipped it to the side. Using the time for the Reformers and Charlies to regain their senses, the TSP wasted no time on setting up an attack on the Reformers which the Charlies used to their benefit to escape to a nearby thicket.

Hoping for the worst and preparing for the best, the Reformers were ready if they happened to get caught by the TSP and quickly worked on setting up the explosives they prepared to render the vehicles inoperable as another worked on clearing a vehicle for their escape knowing that the van was a loss as another worked on tracking down the Charlies and persuading them to come with them with the promise that they could come with them with no strings attached as long as they stayed just a week so that they could at least get all the facts down and understand their powers with hopes that the Charlies might stay longer.

To be continued in chapter three...

  • Welcome to the Reformers

Arriving at the TSP base early in the morning after the long fiasco, the Charlies and Reformer head to bed with the promise of food and answers to the questions they have when everyone was awake.

However adjusting to their new found abilities isn't the only thing in store for the Charlies. From the choices of take out or homemade meals barely passing for eatable served on a daily basis to the secrets and history hidden away from them and the training in store for the Charlies, there will be many bumps along the way.

After an eventful breakfast with multiple surges of abilities, the bulk of the Charlies are given the grand tour of the Reformer's base as they learn a bit about each other as well as the members making up the Reformers. As the tour concludes Cameron joins the group and builds on top of the facts given to the Charlie along with the fact that they were never supposed to be involved. Another team was handpicked and groomed for the position of becoming a Charlie with the intention of taking down the TSP but due to the mishaps on the bus Cameron would have to do the best with what he was given.

Tension builds in the Charlies but knowing that the alternative was to go with the TSP or risk getting caught on their own and potentially getting those they know and love hurt, they stay although some do so resentfully to see what the week would bring as the Charlies try and learn more about their abilities. With the group in a tentative agreement, the Reformers give each of the Charlies eight hundred dollars to spend on any necessities or supplies they may need for their transition into their new homes.

Taking a pickup truck to haul anything big and a van for the passengers into town, Josiah and Daniel take the Charlies to go shopping with the only request is to stay out of trouble and not to go alone.

To be continued in chapter four...

  • Thief on the Loose

The short respite didn't last long when Sam had her new card stolen by a rather unskilled thief which sent the group on a chase after Jake, a man no older than seventeen who is affiliated with a gang through the alleyways of the town. It didn't take long before the group was split apart with Sam and Christian going one direction and the others towards their target.

Rushing towards where he knew he would get aid, Jake led the Charlies towards JC, the leader of the group as well as three others who were hiding out in a building. Their untimely arrival was met with aggression as well as disdain towards Jake after yet another mishaps he brought to the group when it was revealed that a bystander that joined the group was a federal agent. They couldn't allow themselves to get caught which gave the gang one choice, destroying the threat.

With no protection from the Reformers the only option the Charlies had was to defend themselves except for the brave few who was still aiming to retrieve the card. Up against guns and other weapons the Charlies were forced to rely on their abilities for the first time which resulted in a varying degrees of success even taking in considerations of the injuries that occurred.

Regrouping after the battle it didn't take long before they noticed that they were missing two of their teammates but before the injuries could be taken care of or a search for the missing duo could occur, Josiah and Daniel appeared, the former who wasn't managing his anger towards the Charlies very well due to the fact that he knew quite well that it could stir up the attention of the TSP who demanded to know what happened.

Speaking up for the group, Cal told Josiah off as well brought the two newcomers up to speed especially concerning the injured which the others chimed in as well as the next stepped were planned out. As this occurred, Jake who was told to stay out of the way came out of the building thinking that JC and the others dealt with the issue but was met with a surprise when he saw that the opposite occurred.

Trying to run off, Jake was intercepted by Pat and feeling the effects of the man's power didn't stand a chance of getting away especially when he received the threat of a harsher treatment of the man's ability or something worse. Complying, Jake gave not only Sam's card but five other cards which he gained possession of over the past week before stumbling off due to the residual effects of Pat's ability.

With the group split due to a few needing to go back to the base for medical care, the injured returned to receive aid from Wilson while Daniel went with the remaining Charlies to the van.

While the chase was taking place, Sam was led towards a different part of town with Christian in tow to an abandoned part of town used as a dump site. Using this time to get to know each other better, the two learned how even with their abilities being quite distinct there were similarities they shared. While doing so Sam took the time to look through the garbage and came across a few burner phones which revealed that some sort of criminal activity occurred in that area.

Sensing that something wasn't right, Christian urged that the two should go but before they could they were knocked out by an unknown person.

With Christian waking up first in an undisclosed warehouse it was quickly noted that he and Sam wasn't alone. Not answering the man's question on what information Christian knew and who they were to his liking, the man turned towards Sam once she woke up who responded with a similar refusal. This led the man to resort to an unorthodox method of receiving answers based on intel he received from the man that took the duo earlier and took out a phone which had the potential to trigger Sam's power.

Sensing the danger, Christian tried to stop the man which led to his own power being activated. This left the man intrigued and with a new focus, how to best use his new resources. Not keen on lies, the man releases Christian with a tracker set in place and takes Sam with him.

To be continued in Chapter Five

  • Lost and Found

Once in the van, the group discusses their next steps, find the two missing Charlies or return to the base. After thinking through their options Cal and Pat decide that regrouping and figuring out a plan is needed and that they should head back. Fueled on emotions and the need to keep her promise to Sam, Jenna is adamant on finding the duo but the choice is forced onto them when Daniel reveals that he is unable to find them due to the two mysteriously being out of range. However during his search he was able to sense two other Charlies which the group decided to pursue.

Arriving at a park Daniel hands the responsibility of recruitment to the Charlies which resulted in mild success. With the truth slightly stretched by Cal and with the help of Daniel, a meeting was scheduled for the next day at Urban Grinds with Max to continue the recruitment process since Cal focused on the man's migraine and his struggle to see rather than his abilities and said she knew of a doctor who might be able to help him, Dr. Wilson.

Busy with his own agenda, Cameron received help from an outside source to make new identities for the Charlies but doing so comes with a cost and a job was given to the man by the Time Weaver and with the files in hand Cameron leaves and makes his way towards the park where he heard news from Daniel that he and the Charlies found a few new recruits. While making his way there he bumps into a man named Katsuro and received a few memories from the man, the most interesting being that he is a Charlie as well and although the two hotheaded men don't exactly see eye to eye, Katsuro joins and meets the others to ride the van back to the base

While the recruitment was underway, the frustrated doctor was busy at work tending to Vida and Ester's injuries but upon hearing that Sam and Christian were missing, Wilson knew that they needed to act. Deciding to get outside help Wilson sends Josiah out to find a man name Masaru.

The Bravo isn't very happy about the current events but Masaru agrees and goes with Josiah to the Reformer's base where trio catches up on recent events while Garret sneaks Ester downstairs to make a phone call and upon their return Garret goes with Masaru to help him gather supplies he will need during his search. Hoping that his former teammate might stay after the situation is resolved Garret reveals to Masaru that Cameron is becoming more erratic and that something about the man is different but with the recent events no one has picked up on the man's behavior as of yet and is hoping that Masaru might be able to talk to Cameron at some point.

With everything the doctor could do at the moment out of the way, Wilson leaves to get coffee while Josiah is left with Vida who is asleep after being taken care of. With Vida waking up in a frenzy, Josiah has no idea how to deal with the situation and goes off to find Wilson while Ester tries to calm Vida down before returning to the duo when Wilson said he needed to gather a few supplies in case an incident occurs. With the state of confusion Vida is in, it takes a bit of work for the two to figure out that Vida is frantic over the well being of her cats which Josiah reluctantly agrees to fetch them with a warning that he will feed the cats to a pack of coyotes if they got into his stuff. Teleporting away, the remaining two wait for the arrival of the rest of the team.

Not too far away from the park a young woman nicknamed Teddy receives a text from a stranger after she messages a friend about the recent strange occurrences happening to her. Nicknaming Teddy Dearie and keeping a light playful tone the stranger reveals that she knows what is happening to her since the stranger is also a Super and if Teddy wants answers that they need to meet at Starbucks in two hours.

Arriving at the coffee shop Teddy is met by a highly energetic woman named Tia with an equally eccentric and bright outfit who is more than eager to chat with the teen about the recent events that have been happening to her. Even with their initial blunder where she chats up a storm before remembering that Teddy is deaf, the two are able to communicate efficiently due Tia's ability and Teddy's speech app on her muted phone. Knowing that Teddy would eventually need to make a choice to join the TSP or the Reformers not only for her own sake but the safety of her family Tia lays out the fact and due to Tia's concerns over the Charlie's safety and her former comrades Tia suggest that she joins the Reformers as a spy and relay information to Tia. Teddy accepts knowing that with the Reformers she will be with people in a similar boat and can train with them. In agreement Tia tells Teddy that she would find a way for her to meet them and later tells Teddy about the meeting at Urban Grinds the next day after she intercepts a text Daniel sends to Wilson.

Even though he wasn't in agreement in the method of recruitment Wilson joins Cal and Daniel the next day at Urban Grinds to meet with Max and his friend Viktor. While waiting for the duo and Cal busy with the menu Daniel taps into his ability to search the area by first starting at the table which reveals that the huge surge of power coming from Wilson is big enough to that he struggles to distinguish Callie when she sat besides him which leads him to wonder how long it would take Wilson to surpass the traditional five level rating system if he reached the point of using his powers again.

Extending his parameters Daniel finds another not too far away and assumes it is Max. Before disconnecting from his powers Daniel believes he spots another Super but loses his concentration when Cal grabs his arm and distracts him with conversation before the two Russians join them.

One mistake after another, Cal's clumsiness causes a scene which ultimately leads her to the restroom after she blows her cover of pretending to be in a relationship with Daniel when she points out a girl that was watching Daniel carefully and excitedly called her out as an admirer. The girl, which turns out to be Teddy follows Cal in hopes that a one on one conversation to start off with would be easier for her to integrate herself into the group which turned out to be a success when Cal has Teddy join the table for brownies and ice cream after accidentally using her jacket as a towel to dry off her face.

Back at the table, Viktor leaves to find some water for Max which Daniel use to his advantage and distract the man with some made up paperwork so that Wilson and Max could speak freely. Not being one to beat around the bush or continue the little facade Cal started, Wilson tells the man the truth of what has been going on but is met with anger and accusations before the two girls joins them which Wilson reveals that Teddy is also a Charlie which was discovered when Daniel became suspicious about the girl following Cal to the restroom.

Although the newcomers are not happy about the news given to them they decide to join after Wilson reveals that those close to them would be in danger by the TSP and after a heart filled parting between Max and Viktor, the group quickly heads back to the base after receiving a phone call that Cameron is up to something.

Taking advantage of Wilson and the others being distracted by the Charlies the previous night Cameron worked all night going through the files given to him by the Time Weaver and continues his work into the next day for both the job as well as his plans on training the Charlies but is interrupted by Garret who joins the man in the meeting room with food since the man skipped both breakfast and lunch. Claiming that he isn't hungry Cameron moves on to tell Garret to gather the others since he will be starting training in five minutes which is met with objections but eventually Garret complies.

The Charlies enter the meeting room along with little Co-co, Vida's cat where they introduce themselves to the newcomer before Garret and Josiah joins. After doing a headcount they notice that Ester is missing which Garret guesses is due to her being consumed by a book which Josiah takes bitterly due to Daniel and a previous mission in Egypt which he blames the downfall of as well as being stuck in a woman's restroom within a police station due to that being the only safe place to teleport to while staying in the country. Which Garret ends the conversation by stating that Daniel wasn't the only reason things went sour during that mission.

Entering the room Cameron hands each of the Charlies a file which includes two new identities for each person which includes IDs, social security numbers as well as a extensive history of each identity. He also tells them that all traces of them are gone which includes medical records and facebook accounts to keep them and those close to them safe from Tia. After a short speech about the dangers of Tia and the TSP he states that they will be starting training.

This leads the group to a warehouse in an undisclosed location after Cameron reveals that they will be playing a game for their first training exercise to see what skills they posses. The game he chooses is a revamped version of Capture the Flag where instead of tagging your opponents, anything goes short of lasting damage. Combat and powers are highly encouraged and between rifles with rubber bullets and all sorts of weapons and tools, tactics and teamwork is also a huge factor which Cameron is also testing. Even with all the Charlies on one team, the odds are stacked against them as they are against Josiah and Garret who both have gone through this training exercise countless times.

Waking up from the tranquilizer, Sam finds herself in a new place with the only information she gained was Mantovani's name after hearing it while the sedatives were still in affect. Entering the room Mantovani reveals that he has taken some of her blood and with intentions of using it tells her that she isn't needed anymore and gives her the option of working with Mantovani or be killed. Silver or Lead is her only options.

Mantovani starts off by showing a recording of Sam moving her arm around in her sleep as if she was drawing. Although she doesn't know the implications of her drawing Sam reveals that she does that from time to time in her sleep.

Wanting to test the abilities Sam has Mantovani demands Sam to tell him what kind of processor his phone has and although Sam isn't able to tell him what it is called, she is able to draw the part.

After the drawing is made Mantovani talks to a man called Dr. Singh on a video call about the drawings Sam has made which reveals is very promising and that Sam will do well with what the man has planned.

Part Two

  • With the majority of the Charlies with the Reformers, training the mishaps group into a cohesive team of Supers has been the main goal. As the weeks stretched on what little patience Cameron had for the Charlies quickly ran thin as the need to complete the Time Weaver's job became dire. This led to growing tensions between the original Reformers as Cameron came to the realization that the Charlies wouldn't be ready for the job by the deadline. Although they did their best to keep the conflict between themselves, it was obvious to the Charlies that something wasn't right. Tensions grew between Cameron and the others until one morning the group woke up to find the man gone along with the two remaining serums the Reformers stole.

Since then the Reformer's objective has moved beyond training, hiding from the TSP and finding the missing Charlies to include finding Cameron or at least figuring out what the man is up to but there has been no trace from him. However within the last three weeks there has been rumors circulating within the man's connections that he is preparing to act and although the public doesn't know the intentions behind this rumor, there are speculations that the second serum will be released soon if it hasn't been done already.

  • This is our current chapter. The recap will be posted once we are done.

GENERAL
Name: Samantha Cole
Known Alias(es): "Upgrade"
Other Alias(es): "ReShop", "Rip", "MaxMouse"
Age: 18
Generation: Charlie
Gender: Female
Appearance:

Height: 5' 7", Weight: 115 lbs, Hair: Black, Eyes: Blue

Sam is slender, light on her feet, and built to favor speed over strength. Her posture and body language typically suggest submission, but those who know her well enough will recognize that as an act. The simple fact is that keeping your head down means fewer cameras catching a direct look at your face. As far as posture goes...if she can use body language to satisfy the egos of others, that just means fewer confrontations.

Her movements are methodical and precise, whether out of a need for careful attention during her tinkering or just being comfortable with economy of motion. There isn't a lot of fidgeting or wasted energy. The one thing she does move constantly is her eyes.

Whatever else can be said about her, Sam is always watching. She knows where the exits are, she knows how the people are moving around her, and she can probably spot the best places to stash something quickly. Sometimes it helps to be observant.

Her hair is often kept under her hood, but when it is visible, it is obvious she cuts it herself. There's no thought toward style or fashion, whatsoever. It's as if she only cuts it to get it out of her way.

Attire: Black tee or sports bra, black hoodie, black cargo pants, black steel-toe work boots. Never leaves home without her messenger bag full of goodies.

Her "style", if you want to call it that, really has no bearing at all on what's fashionable. She is interested in function alone. The choice of color is simple: It's more difficult to catch somebody at night when they wear dark colors. Plus, it was free; people really should watch their laundry more closely.

Much of her clothing is therefore in varying states of wear, and almost every garment has been modified in some way for concealment options. Where one might expect to find a weapon, however, one would instead find a soldering iron, a few lengths of wire, some clippers, maybe a battery or two...

Additionally, Sam appears to have a special hatred of beauty products. Not only does she refuse to wear cosmetics, but she often mocks those who do. Her appearance has no bearing on her talents as a tinkerer, therefore it is not considered an asset.

Personality: Gruff, snarky, tactless, with just a hint of scorn. If it does not directly relate to computers or machines, she quickly loses interest. Misanthropic, bordering on hateful.

Sam's particular social situation is only partly due to her ability, owing the rest to her being treated like damaged goods by her parents. She learned at an early age that all humans are disposable, and has taken it to heart in recent years. You can almost see it in her eyes; the fact that she does not consider people to be people, but...more like walking resources. Unpredictable, uncooperative, inefficient walking resources.

In terms of mannerisms, Sam may seem unkempt and chaotic to others, but her workspace is her safe place. Sane, logical, coordinated, even in its perpetual state of organized chaos. Moving just one circuit board will set her off on an hour rant about how nothing is sacred anymore.

History:
14, November, 2014

I've been on the run for months. My journal is the only method I have for keeping track of the time. Keeping tabs on my online contacts is harder now, since I don't have reliable access to electricity or wireless internet. I have to take advantage of it whenever I can. I never thought wi-fi would be on the same list of resources as food.

I still think he's after me. I would call him crazy, but that would imply he doesn't know what he's doing, or have any control over the fact that he does it. No...he's not crazy. He's smart. Smart, crooked, and way too interested in control. I have to find a way to stop him. First, I need allies.

Sam chewed on her lip after she finished that last sentence. She tapped her cheap ballpoint against her journal while she considered what had happened the last time she'd found "allies". They would protect her, feed and clothe her, train her...they would keep her safe.

"Being hand-delivered into the clutches of a mob boss is not exactly what I'd call 'safe'." She bitterly mused. That thought melded into her anger toward her parents. They'd decided to throw her away as well. It had been a rocky couple of years, but she managed to escape the facility they'd paid to "fix" her.

That thought made her scoff. She felt a spike of heat in her chest and noticed her brow furrowing. Why should she be so angry over this? It had been such a long time ago, and more pressing matters called for her attention. Besides, what should she do? Kill them? There was no legal recourse for what they'd done, and nothing she could do that would properly punish them for abandoning her. The logical course was to let it go, and yet...

She decided to table these issues for the moment. The journal went into her hoodie, snugly secured in a makeshift pocket installed in the inside left, near her hip. The sun hung low in the sky, which cued her to prepare for her next resource-gathering mission. Without the warm glow of daylight, her targets would have to rely on infra-red LEDs and digital cameras to keep their wares safe.

Sam reached up and grasped a momentary tactile switch embedded in the edge of her hood. The circuitry registered that split second in which the circuit was closed, triggering a string of IR LEDs sewn into the rim. If she did fail to evade the cameras, all that they would record would be a white blur. For all she knew, the security guards could mistake that for headlight glare, or -most probably- a temporary equipment malfunction.

She inwardly cursed herself for not taking the time to properly prepare this incursion, but their computer security had proven too tough to establish a looped video feed. On any other day, she'd have strolled onto the lot and simply taken whatever she wanted, letting the guards enjoy a faked image while she worked. When their IC systems caught her intrusion, she'd had to burn another laptop. It would be some time before she could recover from that failure.

"Never again," she told herself as she clipped the alligator leads onto their electric fence and a bit of exposed ground wire leading away from the facility. The circuit was still complete, but diverted from the rest of the fence, rendering it inert. "That does not ever happen again."

SUPERPOWER
Technomind
Description: A Technomind, also known as a Technocrat, is a person endowed with an instinctual knowledge of technology. The exact function of this ability is theorized to be a form of psionic echolocation; specifically that a resonant telepathic pulse reflects differently from different components, making a complete map of any device possible in an instant. Combined with an instinct for form and function, this ability allows its user to instantly identify the purpose of any given device, as well as diagnose any potential problems or damage and formulate a repair strategy. It is simultaneously an ability to decipher technological components as well as an innate, natural knowledge of technological structures. It is not so much an inherent knowledge of existing technology as much as an instinct for the principles behind it.

The ability may be used at range, but with added difficulty. Direct physical contact is the most reliable method for use. There may be other related abilities, such as remote reading of computer files, but none are yet present in Samantha's case. In general, the ability represents an understanding of a given device, but it may grow to involve control over those devices as well. Such control would theoretically be achieved by supplying resonant psionic pulses to induce electronic current in a given device. Note that this will not work for anything purely mechanical; the devices must be controlled by way of electricity.

Level one: Touch range identification of any device's function. The ability to diagnose malfunctions or damage and form repair strategies. Natural knowledge of which components can be used for any given purpose, which includes repurposing scrapped components or using devices in ways for which they were not designed. The beginnings of a skill with invention, granting her the ability to create new devices to serve a specific function (limited to devices which are slightly improved over existing technologies, i.e. modifying ballistics weapons to fire high-velocity ammunition). Invention of low-level defensive devices, such as Shock Gloves (explanation available).

Level three: Ranged usage of Level One abilities, as well as some limited control over technological devices which have at least some form of electronic components. Manipulation occurs at touch range only, and is limited to a device's intended function (i.e. accessing computer files without using the keyboard or mouse, or activating/deactivating devices without using their controls). Elevated ability with invention and theoretical technology, granting greater range and function with new devices. Invention of the Shrieker, a sonic defense device capable of incapacitating normal humans with a frequency designed to disrupt audio/visual nerves, motor control and equilibrium.

Level five: Ranged reading and manipulation of all technological devices which rely on electronic control, including the ability to overload devices with a psionic pulse. The ability to supply power to electronic devices via psionic energy transfer (the more complex the device, the more difficult this is to achieve). Theoretical technology becomes an integral part of the ability; every device is seen as a blank canvas, to be used in the creation of new devices. Invention of an electrostatic defense field technology, which serves as her primary method for participation in combat (can be explained in greater detail).

Weaknesses: The ability is primarily non-combative, essentially making her a normal human in any combat situation. In the absence of any specifically designed equipment, her ability will have no bearing on whether she can defeat an enemy. This ability also affects her mind, which is explained in her history section. Simply put, the ability causes her several psychological and social difficulties.

Additionally, the act of instantly absorbing all data associated with the form, function and purpose of a given device (even something as simple as a light bulb) is tremendously stressful. It amounts to volumes of information being suddenly and unapologetically shoved into her brain. Beginning at level 1, Sam has no defense against this "data overload", and will suffer severe backlash upon use of the power at full capacity. She also has no control over how fast the information is delivered until later levels. This will be alleviated over time, with practice and experience.

As she gains in power, Sam will be able to regulate the flow of data more effectively, but it is still a demanding task.

Also note that, although this ability will allow her to access or use devices, Upgrade cannot see or interpret any of the signals they send. She would be able to identify that a radio transmitter is capable of sending signals, for example, but could not intercept those signals with her ability.

IC SAMPLE
2011, Date Unknown

"What's wrong with her?" Sam's mother, Theresa, demanded. Her father simply threw up his hands in defeat. "This is not the first time I've had to pull her out of school, Warren! We have to do something!"

"Like what?" Sam heard her father fire back. She had heard this tone before. He'd run out of options, and was now attempting to salvage the situation however he could. "What, Theresa? Tell me what to do."

They often argued like this, and Sam could not help but observe she was always at the center of it. They told her she was special, that she had talents and intelligence; that she had...'potential'. Sam came to realize that that word was code for 'problems'. When she attempted to realize her potential, she only caused trouble.

The argument raged on, dragging in wholly irrelevant incidents from years past, as they always did, and Sam just let herself slip back behind the door; its mechanism producing only a quiet click as she let the solid wood absorb the shouting. This was her fault. She'd made them hate each other. If only she'd just been normal.

But she wasn't normal. She never would be. She didn't think like them, didn't see the world in the same way as them, and didn't wish to. She saw so much more than the next paycheck, or the next sports game, and that was exactly how she liked it. She could not be blamed if the other students' attentions were so irretrievably fixed on violent ground acquisition rituals that they could not consider the effects of electromagnetic fields on atmospheric gasses.

And why should she? Sam bit her lip hard enough to draw blood and, for a moment, delighted in the sensation. She felt nothing in the midst of her peers; felt no attraction to anything they represented. Pain, it seemed, was the only thing that connected her to the world, aside of her experiments. No doubt that that would get her into trouble as well, if they found out about it.

By this point, the fighting had subsided. She heard movement in more than one room, and rightfully assumed her parents had parted ways for the evening. When she heard her mother's voice in the den, she decided to learn more about the decisions being made about her future and picked up the phone in her room. Eavesdropping was no less honorable than stunted growth.

"Yes, this is Theresa Cole. I'd like to schedule another appointment with Dr. Carter. Things are...not getting better with Samantha. We need options." She paused for a moment, then replied: "Yes, tomorrow's fine. I doubt the school would allow her back anyway. 9am is fine, yes. We'll see you then."

So that was it, then. She would be picked apart yet again, and by minds too set on traditional knowledge to even comprehend the things she saw on a daily basis. She felt the anger, but could not process it. Instead, she just looked in her mirror and counted the many faces she saw staring back between the cracks.

Dr. Carter's Office, The Following Morning
"Sam, why do you feel compelled to take things apart?" Dr. Evelyn Carter inquired. She was tapping her pen against her lip again. Sam hated that. It was just pointless noise, action without purpose. She hated everything that didn't have a purpose. That had been the major driving force behind her segregation from her peers, but attempting to explain that had fallen on deaf ears, so she assumed calling attention to this nervous tic would end similarly.

"I don't know," she replied carefully. "Why do they feel compelled to put them together?"

The doctor scribbled something in her notebook and pushed her glasses back in place. "Are you saying that destruction is just as important as creation? By vandalizing these objects, are you in some way trying to equal the importance of creating them?"

Sam made a face. "You don't get it. Nobody gets it."

"What don't we get, Sam?"

"I want to know things!" Sam fired back, her chest full of fire and her cheeks flushed. The doctor put down her pen and stared at her.

"Isn't that what school is for? To teach you things?"

"Like I said," Sam grumbled, defeated. "You don't get it."

Later that day...
"I'd like to keep Sam for observation, for a few days." Dr. Carter explained. Warren held his wife as though he thought she might need shielding from the news.

"If you think that's best." He complied. "If the pills won't do any good, do you really think your facility can rehabilitate her? She's...not responding well to any treatment you've given her yet."

Carter's brows furrowed and she worded herself carefully. "Mr. Cole, I understand your hesitation, but...the fact is that medication alone is only one facet of psychological treatment. The problems with your daughter run much deeper than just a few misfiring neurons. She has no social skills whatsoever, has no common interests with her peers, and has shown a willful refusal to connect with the world around her. She needs to be carefully guided through this phase, and into a frame of mind in which she can better integrate with those around her. That won't happen without group therapy and careful supervision."

And...just like that...they decided her fate. Sam could only stand and watch as they discussed the next years of her life as though she were a trinket on a shelf. Where they said 'treatment', she heard 'maintenance'. She was a tool to them; malfunctioning, and in need of repair. She didn't know it at the time, but a little part of her died in those moments, even before they signed the papers.

GENERAL
Name:
Maxim Emillianov (Called Max)
Age: reached 33 as a Charlie (the irony of no 3)
Generation: Charlie
Gender: male
Appearance: Max has one of those more or less average faces with dark hair and brown eyes you pass by everyday without having taken any specific notice of them and he has long taken no more effort to change this fact. He is about 186 cm (hails to the metric system) tall – with the daily +/-2 cm fluctuations – and a good proportion of mass distributed all over. Should he wear a tight t-shirt or the occasional top-tank, one could see the relatively thick arms, which are due to the welding rather than real workout. He enjoys playing soccer, but as a fun game and not anything serious. As a native of the Karelian Ski resorts, he does enjoy this winter sport to great extents, but it has proven to be too costly in exile.
sochi_gay_rights_ap_img.jpg

Personality: Whatever and however Max ever used to be, in Russia, or in the US, lies in a distant past and is overshadowed by the brighter light he is cursed to see. So you know him – if you do know him – as somewhat confused and constantly pissed off, sometimes at nothing at all. To the Reformer's reassurance, though, he is meanwhile known to be practical, and seldom lets his infinite anger cloud his sight (pun intended) of what must be done or could be useful. His main objective still remains the safety of his best friend, and a rather gullible dream of one day reuniting with him, and maybe even making a trip back home.

Maxim is mildly sociable and seldom the one to get away from a conversation, almost always with cynical remarks and dark humour. His aggressive tendencies have always been expressed verbally, and he has not yet once intentionally tried to raise a fist, not even to hit a wall in his utmost rage – although his gaze seems like punching and breaking everything down. The only times when he might threaten or hurt someone – intentionally or unintentionally – is when he feels week and vulnerable, out of his own control, when he can not figure out what is happening to his body and despairs at not being able to get a grip of his own body, which means it has happened less frequently with time.

The first couple of weeks after it was found out that he has rather gained than lost his eyesight he was hyper excited like a child, and tried to look at everything, most of the time overwhelmed with the difference to how he remembered them. He has also got quite a bunch of weird obsessions with unimportant stuff, like how the handle of the mug has to be angled with respect to the plate in front of him, or always singing out loud to a certain song,

History: Maxim was born in the Karelian Isthmus, in the urban region of Toksovo, close to Saint Petersburg, in Russia. Sometime in his school years he discovered painting as a hobby and sometime after high school he found out about his best friend Viktor's sexual orientation, which grew to be a much bigger problem in Russia than the friends believed back in their late teenage years. This made Maxim become an LGBT activist, trying to secure a better future for Viktor and others, which led to him trying to portray the isolation, violence and fear they were put through in his paintings - still seeing them as a hobby and a means to let out the anger and the frustration though. With the attacks on homosexuals rising, he encouraged his best friend to leave the country – seeing no other short term solution to the rising violence –, and in order to further demonstrate his support he sought refuge together with Viktor. So they left Russia 3 years ago and have been in the States for the past two.

SUPERPOWER: Photonic Realization
Basically, in the beginning it feels like Maxim's sense of sight has expanded to light (= electromagnetic waves) of all possible frequencies, making his brain take in input he could impossibly process, since he has now sensors seeing more than the (for humans) visible range of light. Then gradually, the massless corpuscles of light will be perceived the same way we perceive mass, in other words he would start to sense their interactions with other particles, and eventually be able to control or manipulate these interactions. This means above all a change in his visual apparatus, so that it is not so easily overloaded, meaning that he could for instance stare at the sun or right into a pointer laser.

Level one: He sees light, all of it; not only infrared and ultraviolet, but radio waves, microwaves, x- and gamma rays etc. It would of course take him time until he can make any sense out of it all, and find out about all the new colours he never knew existed.

Level three: He can see photonic interactions, be it the scattering of light, absorption, x-ray radiation or else, it all looks to him the way we see a bus driving off the station, rain drops bouncing off the ground, etc. If trained well, he would be able to gather immense amount of information about his surroundings at this point, like for example spectroscopic analysis.
Remark: This is by no means like the other power, where one could see electromagnetic communications and decode them. When we see a torchlight, we could guess from what source it is coming and in which direction the source is found, but we can not say by how much Watt and what kind of bulb is producing the light.

Level five: Now it would not longer be about rays of light or waves, it is the point he starts to realize the light quanta, the photons. It is when the quantum logic becomes »apparent« to Max, the way we realize Newtonian mechanics. Among others, he will for example gain a sense of distance about stars, galaxies, galaxy clusters etc, since the Doppler effect and gravitational lensing will become part of processing his visual input.

Weakness/drawback: First of all, the amount of information his brain has to process all the time will take him long to get used to, and even after that, he'll need a great deal of education and some time again, until he knows what it is that he sees. His sense could also be blended by similar radiation, or even more intensive one of close enough frequencies. (Remark: intensive does not mean more powerful, a satellite signal for example has greater energy than a torchlight, but from a distance within which the light is distinguishable, it is definitely more intense than the satellite signal.)

IC sample:
For an instant Max could swear he saw the impact before it happened, or whatever it was that he could see. But before he had the time to think about what his brain was trying to tell him, Viktor was already explaining the situation to him once again. He stood closer this time. He had gotten up from his chair and was trying to get between Max' chair and the table. Hearing the worry in Viktor's voice, emphasizing how Max had to calm down and how nothing more than some typical clumsy accident at a table had happened, Max realized how one of his own hands was clutched around his other arm, while the fingers of the other seemed to be trying to drill through the chair seat. Viktor gently put a hand on his shoulder, while explaining further in Russian how the couple at their table had had contact of the undesirable kind with each other, and how he himself was now simply dropping napkins onto the table and close to the edge in front of Max, so that he should not get wet by "wandering" water. Max wondered why water would be wandering off.

It was all too much, all too fast, and even Viktor seemed unable to match up the speed of all that had been happening. Sometime in between glasses have been falling down and breaking, Max was too caught up trying to make sense of the vague shapes he saw and the noises he heard, that the amount of information he was processing had overwhelmed him, and all the unknown factors he had to deal with had confused him. Finally he closed his eyes as Viktor helped him push his chair slightly back, away from the table, in order to make room for probable cleaning up and make sure he was not getting wet on top of all this. "Do you want water... to drink?" Viktor asked. It was in Viktor's own way cute, to add the purpose of the water he would be getting Max, as though after all the commotion Max might suddenly feel like splashing around, or he might misunderstand Viktor's intentions from asking the question. It was a simple joke, though, and made Max relax a bit, realizing how his body had been tensing up. It was like the chant to bring Max back from the crazy Armageddon to a simple café where they were meeting strangers. There was a faint smile rather relaxing than stretching his lips as he jerked his head "Da".

Name Callie "Cal" Wright
Age 23
Gender Female

Appearance
tumblr-girls-with-blue-eyes-and-blonde-hair-2016-2017-22_19.jpg

Born with blonde hair, blue eyes and a dazzling smile, Callie is the poster girl for the "All-American" sweetheart (minus the "Southern" accent). She appears much taller than her 5 ft 6 (approx. 168 cm) thanks to her slender long legs and her fondness of shoes that are at least 5 inches high. The rest of her wardrobe is less fancy than her footwear. She loves wearing knee-length blogshop summer dresses and short, print skirts paired with white or pastel shirts. She wears t-shirts, shorts and jeans occasionally but she isn't very fond of them. She would rather wear tights with a short skirt during autumn and winter instead of long pants.

Superpower Matter Transmutation

Description Like an alchemist in fantasy stories and manga, Callie is able to transform everyday objects most things she desires (e.g. weapons, tools, shiny trinkets, etc.) but not edible treats.

Level 1 Cal alters the structure of solids. Most of the time they become a soft, pliable substance. Heavier and denser objects take time to change. Her ability only works at touch-range.

Level 3 Light objects can be successfully transmuted. The new item would have the same density as the old one, e.g. producing an extremely large cotton ball from a bullet. Heavier, denser objects take a slightly shorter time to change but they won't be fully transformed. The end result is often a soft, pliable substance with the colours of the intended object. Overall her ability is faster and her range has expanded. Her ability is most potent at touch-range.

Level 5 Now even medium weight objects can be transmuted successfully but at a much slower rate compared to smaller objects. She may only be able to partially transform large heavy objects. It depends on the weight and density of the thing in question. For extremely heavy objects only the area within her touch-range is affected. By now her speed is such that small, less dense objects can be transformed almost instantaneously. Her range is approximately half of Jenna's effective range.

Weaknesses

Callie needs to have a clear mental image of the object she is trying to create, i.e. she must be able to imagine what it looks like on the inside and the outside, in order to create a successful copy of the said object.

Maintaining the "mental image" while channeling power requires a lot of concentrating, which isn't something she is good out. Even detecting the smallest movement out of the corner of her eye is enough to throw her off.

Prolonged usage of her powers exacerbates Cal's sweet tooth. She indulges in a gluttonous amount of sugary treats, particularly chocolate covered eclairs and cupcakes. Ironically, despite eating between 3500-4800 calories during these binges, she manages to remain slim.

History

Early Childhood Callie and her identical twin, Jennifer, were born to Bailie and Austen Wright on 13 May, 23 years prior to the start of the rp. They were followed by a boy (Hunter) four years later and another pair of twin girls (Hailey and Lilianne) less than a year after him. With Cal, Hunter and the younger girls being as bubbly and energetic as Mrs. Wright, there was never any peace and quiet whenever the family was together.

Kindergarten till High School Needing to sit down long enough to finish her homework was the bane of Cal's childhood. If given the option, she perferred to go and play with her friends (and copy Jenn's homework in the morning). Such a lax attitude towards her studies followed her throughout middle school and high school. Not surprisingly, she barely qualified for college. That was when she decided that it was time to quit school.

After High School Callie followed Jenn to New York when her twin started college. There she worked as a waitress at Hooters to help cover her sister's rent, book fees and other living expenses until Jenn was in her third year of college. By then, Cal's wanderlust got the better of her and she submitted her resume to American Airlines. She is proud to say she has been flying around the world ever since.

IC Sample (aka Intro Post)

Blonde hair fell over her eyes as Callie leaned forward. She counted silently under her breath as she held that position for several counts. She exhaled one final time before pulling up and lifted her arms into the air. Her legs drew together till she was sitting cross-legged with soles of both feet touching each other. She bent her right arm so that her hand reached slightly below her shoulder blades while her left hand held onto the elbow. She repeated the same movement with her left arm. Finally the young woman got up and walked over and held onto the handle of her cupboard door. She lifted her left leg up as her left hand grabbed onto her ankle.

"Cal! I'm going now. See you at dinner."

"Okay, Jenn!" She yelled back to her twin as she relaxed.

Whistling quietly, Cal twisted back and forth, and then she held onto the railing and lifted her right leg. She released her leg and then jogged on the spot for several minutes. Satisfied she grabbed her sneakers and headed out the door. A couple of red and silver fringed pompoms rolled off the shoe rack but she ignored them. She slammed the door after her. Five minutes later she dashed back and threw the door open. Shoots! Jenn would flip if she noticed that. Cal quickly grabbed her half eaten packet of m&ms from her bedside table as her eyes fell on her lemon yellow digital alarm clock. 7:45 am. Two hours before she has to leave home too. Taking public transport was gonna be a pain. Pfff! Jenn had totally forgotten about her car. God damn it! Hopefully the sour-faced grump of a coach would love her proposed choreographed cheer routine! If all goes well, despite Ms. Sourpuss being all critical, she would be meeting the squad tomorrow afternoon to teach them their new routine.

At first glance, no one can tell Jennifer and Callie apart, as they are splitting images of each other - everything right down to the dimples on either cheek whenever they smile. Jenn, though, doesn't smile as much. Most of the time - especially when she's thinking - she's seen frowning with her arms crossed over her chest. Dress wise, she and Cal are world's apart. Jenn has a preference of more "sensible clothes". Her preferred outfit consists of a pair of denim jeans, a white (or off-white) lace top with a rounded collar, a waist-length, print jacket (usually slung over her right arm when it's really warm) and a pair of pastel ballerina flats. When she has to be more formal, i.e. the days she attends lectures or court simulations (mock trials), she'll wear a pencil or A-line skirt, preferrably charcoal or navy blue, a collared shirt (white or pale pastel), a blazer in the same color as her skirt and a pair of pumps. The only accessories she wears on a daily basis are her gold wristwatch and her earrings.

Description

Jenn's preference in clothing hints at her personality. However, her most defining trait (which isn't obvious at first glance) is her unwillingness to trust others. Not that it's anyone's fault, that's just who she is. As a child, she would seldom go out of her way to make friends. Instead, she preferred to remain in a quiet corner, observing the rest of the children running around the playground and, when anyone approaches her - teacher or classmate - she'd reluctantly give brief, clipped responses to their conversation overtures.

She has improved over the years thanks to Cal's constant prodding (and a desire to build a strong network to further her ambitions) but she still has less than five people whom she considers her close friends. They are regarded as people she didn't mind hanging out with but they are not people whom she'd ever confide in. Not even Cal knows her that intimately.

Just because she isn't as spontaneous and carefree like Callie, it doesn't mean Jennifer doesn't live life to the fullest. She uses her free time to try and improve her mental and physical well-being by engaging in a variety of hobbies ranging from learning new languages, sports and more recently, martial arts. She believes pushing herself beyond her current limits is the only way to keep excelling in her chosen career.

I want to make a child and his grandfather. Is that allowed or can we only have one character? If so, can I make the grandfather an NPC?

@Rina

You can only play one character @ShiroKiyoshi but the grandfather can be an NPC. Are you thinking of having him being a Super as well or a normal person?

I was thinking of him being a super to act as a guide for the child who I intend to make high school age (14-16).

The grandfather would have to be from one of the newer generations since the first two are set and played by NPCs so it would be something new for him too. It would be interesting to see the grandfather added to the mix.

I understand. Thank you.

GENERAL
Name: Tyler James
Age: 15
Generation: Delta
Gender: Male

Weight - 129 lbs
Height - 5'10''
Tyler typically where's hoodies, high tops with ankle-dress socks, and sweatpants. He loves to wear hoodies and tank tops because if he gets too hot he can simply take the hoodie off and when he gets too cold he can slide the hoodie back on. His hoodies tend to be thin, but too big for him to give him room without making him too hot while also being enough covering to keep him from getting too cold. As far as jeans go he likes to stick to joggers/sweatpants for range of motion. Tyler's only reason for wearing high tops and ankle-dress socks constantly is because it covers his legs preventing the skin from showing on his lower body which he thinks is tacky. He never wears boxers, only boxer briefs and briefs.

Personality:
Tyler is a curious cat. He gets into everything just because it is unknown and he thinks it might be exciting to figure it out. However, he does not enjoy problem solving. The way that allows him to complete his task with the least consequences for the least amount of effort is his preferred method. Despite this he is not a quitter and is prepared to work if necessary (and only if necessary). He could care less how people view him and often invades others' personal space (both physically and mentally), but not intentionally and tries to pull back when he notices. The kid himself does not enjoy being asked questions and when alone prefers to be that way, but when around others he expects everyone to be able to socialize.
Quick to anger he doesn't think about the consequences of his actions nearly enough and wants to rage when something doesn't go his way, but instead bottles it up with reasoning. He is a bottle of soda filled with mentos, but with a tight lid screwed on. When it comes to women he tends to be chivalrous believing that yelling is not necessary when talking to them and that men who raise their hands at them are better off dead.

History:
Tyler was born in Long Island, New York on May 17th, 1999. He grew up with his mother and father there until he was about four and went to live with his grandparents due to an accident his parents got in. At his young age he lost both of them. Tyler then grew up with his sushi chef grandfather and accountant grandmother living a normal child's life. He didn't always have the latest and greatest, but he had things to keep him busy and being an only child there was no one to play with inside so he enjoyed going outdoors to find people.
Tyler's life began to center around video games when he was hitting the double digits. Big MMO titles were coming out around then and he was jumping on the wagon. His outside time began to decrease until it became nothing. When his grandparents caught wind of this they started to limit his gameplay time, but now being older all the children he used to play with were also inside playing games all day. Tyler had been forced to be alone by his oblivious guardians.
To get over his boredom he worked up the courage to talk to random people and thus his habit of weirding others out or making them uncomfortable began. In addition, with no one to watch him he did whatever. Traveling into places people didn't want you to be or striking up conversations with a vendor about his day. Then he'd return home to play games. During the school year it wasn't much different either. The only exception was now he added hitting on girls to the routine sometimes it would work out and others it friend zoned him for life.
Tyler was an average student who got average grades and managed to turn his stuff in on time whether his work was finished or not. Anything was better than a zero was his motto and he stood loyally by it. After a while Tyler began to look at his own life and deduced it was turning out to be pretty boring.

SUPERPOWER
Physical Alteration/"Tail Powers"
Description: Tyler has a tail, but not only that. The tail can extend for about the size of the bedroom and he has enhanced reaction speed and a natural help to his balance.
Level one: Dodging dodgeballs pretty easily and catching things he'd normally drop without trying.
Level three: Lucky bullet dodging.
Level five: Dude is the chosen one. He is clearly dodging bullets like balls being thrown at him.

Weaknesses:
In every other aspect he is a normal human. So, like a cheetah he couldn't keep it up for very long before needing to take a break. His diet also has to shift to encompass using so much in short bursts. He also cannot get rid of his tail and it can't shrink beyond its base length.

IC SAMPLE
Tyler lay in his tiny twin bed with one of his arms hanging over the left side of the bed while the other was tucked under his pillow. His blanket looked like someone had just pulled it out of the dryer and thrown it on him. The only part of him the blanket managed to cover was half of his left leg and most of his back. His right leg just suffered its own mini frostbite causing him to flinch from the cold as his alarm slowly pulled him from his unconscious state.

"Crap." Tyler muttered.

He got both arms under the pillow and attempted to sleep through the machine he placed across the room to force himself to get up, but it wouldn't work and he eventually got up to turn the alarm off. Just as he did he could hear his grandfather about to march into the room and he sighed. The door swung open and there his grandfather stood with a stern glare.

"Didn't I tell you to turn that thing off for the weekend?" asked his grandfather.

"Yeah, but I forgot." replied Tyler.

His grandfather shook his head and started to walk off closing the door behind him. Tyler waved as he did.

"Morning, Gramps." said Tyler.

"Good Morning, Tyler." his grandfather replied trying to mask his annoyance with sarcasm.

The door shut and Tyler fell back onto his bed. He had completely forgotten to turn that timer off. He wouldn't even need it today. It was the weekend. He began to hit himself lightly in the head with the back of his wrist before stopping and closing his eyes to fall asleep as he was on the bed. Just then the chill of the A/C hit him and he curled into a ball searching for his blanket to keep warm.

I like the concept you have up for Tyler. It will be interesting to see how he and his lack of personal boundaries will get along with the others but I do have some concerns in terms of his power which I'd like to chat over PMs to help fit it to the power levels and ability requirements found in UH.

Oh god a neko boy!!! I know someone who is going to lose their mind lol
