Undercover Operations

The faint drone of helicopter blades hummed in the background. Team Omega's comms vibrated madly. "Where are you guys!? We need you gone NOW!!!!!!"
 
Copy! on my way!
Popping the saftey on, he quickly headed off towards the bunkers for the first mission. Approaching the bunker, he stood tall and ready for any briefing for him.
Here sir!
 
"Apologies general sir, we're having difficulties getting our team together." Scorch responded
 
"We don't have time for difficulties! Go now! You can't afford to wait any longer. This is Eagle Team, out!"
 
He nodded and stood up. He looked at Kate tapped his wrist as if he had a watch, signifying that they need to go.
 
Kate nodded. She saw Jason and yelled. "Get in, We've got to go Now!" Jumping in, she grabbed the wheel and started the truck up, turning away from the barracks. "Omega on the move sir. Out" she repeated into her comm.
 
( I call dibs on the invaders! Wait, is cursing allowed here? I don't think so..........ah, what a loss.)

The trucks reved up as the team finally started for sector 43. "Okay, here is the brief for your mission," Eagle Team commed, "The invaders are an elite group of mercenaries that are headed by a few key strategists. Unfortunately, they're not in this for money. 'The package' is a very high ranking member of their little operation. They will either try to destroy the helicopter before it lands, or storm the base to reclaim their member. They currently have control over three buildings on the edge of sector 43. It will be your job to drive them out or take them out. We cannot allow 'the package' to be killed or taken. Eagle team, out."
 
"Yes sir. Package will stay in our hands. Omega one out." She sped the truck up slightly and turned on the route straight to sector 43. As she drove, she spoke to the team. "Ok guys, this is going to be a routine mission. Protect the package. You all ready?" The sector 43 building was ahead, just in sight. She slowed down as they approached.
 
"Switching to thermals." Scorch said and looked through the turrets thermal optic. "No contact."
 
Kate nodded, parking the truck inside the front gates. The place looked deserted, but she knew better. "Scorch, will you be ok here scanning the perimeter?" The truck was facing the fence as she started to climb out, sitting on the edge of the truck. "I'm going to head up in that tower," she pointed to a tower left of the gate, "to spot with my sniper. The rest of you, find an advantage point and keep your eyes high and wide." She slid off the truck and pulled her rifle out while heading towards the tower, sweeping the area. There was a distance rumble of oncoming vehicles as she climber the ladder to the tower.
 
Three large buildings loomed ahead. This area was once a training ground, so there were no glass windows and everything was relatively empty. RPG specialists took up most of the roof on the left building, snipers took the right. The middle building was heavily fortified with mecenary gunmen. Trucks with large death machines stood in front of the main building.
 
"Loading armor piercing sabot round." Scorch said as he loaded the shell and aimed the cannon down the mainstreet. He loaded a bulket into the chamber if the coaxiak machinegun. "coax loaded, ready for combat sir."

Kate saw something in the distance, and it didn't look friendly. She adjusted her scope and commed the rest of the team. "Heads up, someone's, or something, is coming."
 
"Bring it on boss lady, i got this area covered." Scorch said confidently.
 
Kate smiled. "Here they come.." She fired a shot into the group, hitting one of them and throwing them off of the convoy. "Remember, protect the package.." She repeated into her comm as she fired two more shots.
 
"Firing main cannon, fire!" The main cannon shot with a loud bang. Soon after one of the vehickes flipped end over end in a blazing inferno. At the same time he was sweeping wuth the coax.

Another truck's death machine began turning as it prepared to turn it's enemy into powder. The gunmen began to open fire as the RPG squad took aim. "Give'em hell!" A mecenary squad leader shouted and he poured his bullets into the tank. Snipers on the right roof began to search the area for hidden enemies.

The sound of the helicopter began to intensify as it neared the base.

Kate ducked when she realized they had snipers. She commed in to the team. "Guys, Watch it. They've got snipers and RPG's!" She pushed one of the small windows open and poked her gun through. She shot down one of the snipers, then reloaded. "Take 'em down!" she smiled as she whispered in the comm, hoping to encourage her teammates.
 
Scorch traversed the turret toward a building that had an team of rpg's in it. "Rpgs at 11 oclock high, fire!" The cannon fired again knocking off a chunk of the building.
 
Kate watched as the shot hit the building. "Nice one!" She fired a few more shots, then ducked back out of sight as she reloaded.
