I really like modern roleplays, especially hings involving romance and family. I also love fantasy, especially anything involving magic, mythical creatures, or gods and goddesses. Fandoms are nice, if I can play an OC. Since history is one of my passions, I like doing historical roleplays, mostly renaissance, 1800's, early 1900's, ancient civilizations, and anything wild west-like or based on pioneers. I do like Sci-Fi, mostly dystopian with some sort of rebellion or strict customs, something like that. I also like roleplays that take place in space if they have a good explanation of the universe that it takes place in. I'm not a big fan of horror or mystery, unless the horror is a sub-element to something else.

  • || No godmodding, etc... Every character should have their weaknesses as well as their strengths. ||

    || If you have an issue with drug and alcohol usage, social issues, different orientations, or anything of that sort, feel free to leave now. On that note, steamy stuff has to fade to black and go to PM. I don't want none of that. I don't care if it's mentioned, just don't go beyond that. Please respect other people's boundaries as well. ||

    || This is just a typical slice-of-life family RP. It's meant to be fun. That being said, try to join existing families or try to fill in the empty spaces {there's only 13 families, not including outsiders}. These families are supposed to be big. You can make a character entering this world of big families, but they need to be engaged or married to a member of a big family. I also ask that everyone try to make at least one character that is 13 years old or younger if you are making more than one. ||

    || Every character has an important role, so don't worry about your character not being important. ||

    || Please be literate. ||

    || Romance is encouraged, but it should not be the focal point for all relationships. ||

    || Originality is very much appreciated. Tell me your character's favorite color in your CS. ||

    || Do not physically maim another person's character without their permission. ||

]|| You cannot be your own love interest, spouse, or anything of that sort. That kind of ruins the point of roleplaying. ||

    || You can have as many characters as you want. Just make sure you can keep up with them. ||

    || Please note that I reserve the right to reject any character I feel is not up to standard. ||

  • Calvin P. Carver
Cal was always up at six on the dot. It was a habit instilled in him at a young age by his parents and not much had changed, all these years later. Well, everything else had changed. Growing up an only child, he never imagined that he would have more than one child. But now, at the age of 52, he and his wife had 13 biological children. And he couldn't be happier, even if he didn't always show it. He wasn't ever an affectionate man, though he suspected his children never resented him for it.

He emerged from his office at eleven, a time when the rest of the family rose on Saturdays. He never employed a strict scheduling on the weekends, but he did have some expectation for his children to wake up before noon. He did wonder if Salem's friends would be up yet. While he knew Annie and Cadence well enough {he made it his duty to know his children's friends}, he had only met Antiope once or twice. From what he could understand, she was dating Matthew Stoll and Cal was admittedly proud of his middle daughter for trying to make her feel welcome in their group.

As expected, Acacia was up, sipping on what was likely her third or fourth cup of coffee. Cress sat across from her, bouncing Orion on her lap as she discussed something with her sister. His Orion was the first to notice the older man entering the kitchen. "Papa!" he exclaimed and Cress followed her son's gaze.

"Oh, good morning, Dad," she greeted warmly.

"Papa!" Acacia mimicked her nephew's tone with gentle smile.

"Good morning, girls, Orion," he patted his grandchild on his head as he passed them.

Acacia rose before he could make it to the coffee pot. "Let me make your cup, Dad," she said, sliding around him. He raised his eyebrow at her, but she shooed him away. "Sit, sit."

Calvin sighed as he sat down. Underneath the table, Martin stirred before settling again. Cal looked at the russian blue curled into the dog's side curiously when his vision shifted and blurred. He took of his glasses and cleaned them with the end of his shirt. He needed to make another appointment with the optometrist soon. His prescription changed... Again...

Cress frowned at him as Orion picked at the banana on his plate. She took a sip of her tea. "Maybe you should take up Dr. Bower's suggestion of getting a specialist, Dad," she said.

"The nearest specialist is in Montgomery," he replied with a shake of his head. When he looked up, both of his present daughters fixed him with a stare. He sighed and offered them an appreciative smile. "I'll talk it over with your mother."

Speaking of his wonderful wife, where was she? Maybe he should go look for her before he got back to work, unless she had something planned for the day.

    Acacia E. Carver
Acacia stirred her father's coffee, just one sugar, and set it down in front of him. She knew he preferred it that way {she knew everyone's preference}, but more often than not, he would take it black to seem more... Sophisticated if she had to guess. Which was fine, a little silly because he was the most sophisticated person she knew, but fine. But Acacia held coffee in a higher esteem than just a tool used to show facets of society. Coffee had personality and her father's personality was like his black coffee with just one sugar. And maybe she was trying to butter him up to get a good deal on the store he just finished renovating on Main Street.

She and Benji agreed that it was time to start working on getting her coffee shop. They saved a lot of money living at her parents' home, but Acacia was ready to move out and start her own life. She suspected that her father wanted them to live on the Carver property for the rest of her life, but that's not what she wanted. She wasn't even sure if she wanted to stay in Florence forever, but that wasn't a topic she'd brought up with anyone yet.

"I'm gonna go find Benji," Acacia declared, pressing a kiss to her father's cheek and another on the top of her nephew's head.

"Do you think you can Salem and her friends up when you're done?" Calvin questioned and she paused. She didn't really want to get them up, but she was determined to stay on her father's good side.

"Yup," she said with a bright smile before hurrying away to find her hubby. She would check the bedroom first.

    Benjamin U. Whitman
Benny was suspicious. For the past couple of weeks, his fiancee had been acting... off. He couldn't put his finger on it, but something was different. And it was kind of worrying him. Did he do or say something? He'd never admit it, but he was a little worried that Mara might one day wake up and realize that she was too amazing for him.

He asked Acacia if she noticed and she had, but his best friend assured him it was probably nothing. And it was definitely nothing wrong with him. Still... They were such a young couple and they'd already endured the heartache of miscarriage twice and Ben was constantly on edge about it potentially happening again. They wanted children {he wanted children}, but he didn't know if it was worth the happiness of his the love of his life.

Benny sighed, burying his face in his hands. He was supposed to finish editing the video in front of him. It was just a little side project he picked up for some extra cash, but on top of Mara, his own screenplay, and work, it was starting to seem like too much.

    "What's wrong?"

He looked over at Harriet, who was watching Miraculous Ladybug on the TV in the living room, where he was currently located. She laid upside down on the couch, her legs thrown over the armrest, as she stared at her future brother-in-law. Although honestly, Benny had known Harriet since she was born, so he considered her more of an actual sister than just a sister by eventual marriage.

She stared at him with imploring green eyes and he noticed that the only reason she was talking to him was because the cartoon was on a commercial. His eyes slid to the unfinished project. He decided that talking to her seemed like a better option at the moment. "Do you ever try to do too much and end up going crazy."

"Oh, yeah," she said, quite seriously. "Sometimes, I want to go over to Esme's house, but I forget that I have to walk Anton or that I promised to help Mom with some chores and then I do too many things and I go crazy."

He tried not to laugh at her childhood problems. "What do you do about it?" he asked.

"I talk to Mom or Daddy," she declared. "Or Mara. Mara knows everything."

The cartoon came back on and Harriet's attention immediately went back to it. Benny sighed silently. Well, he couldn't really talk to Mara about Mara, now could he? But he could talk to her about the other stuff and ask for some advice. Maybe she'd tell him what was going on with her as well.

It seemed that getting out of bed each morning was still a struggle, but Hollis managed. She was thankful for the older kids and their diligence in helping out with Ramsay and Luca. It made it a little easier to know that through everything, her children were there. But eventually, she had to get up and start the day.

She turned her head, finding Ramsay still curled up next to her. He crawled into her bed earlier in the morning, likely to hide from his more energetic brother. It was a regular occurrence for him and Hollis never minded having a cuddle buddy. Luca was no doubt already up and about, wreaking havoc with Alice, her earliest riser. At least they kept their havoc quiet.
Hollis reached out and poked Ramsay's nose. It took a moment for the drowsy boy to open his eyes, but when he did, he smiled. "Mommy," he said.

She ran a hand over his hair. She needed to trim it soon. Her heart sank. Miriam always did the boys' hair. Ramsay's little hand bopped her lightly on the nose. "Smile," he declared with a big grin of his own.

Hollis laughed, poking his nose again. "Yes, baby, smile," she eased herself into a sitting position. She rested a hand on her growing tummy. Five months in and she already felt like a whale.

Ramsay put his hands on top of hers. "Baby," he said.
He was still awed by the fact that there was a baby growing inside of his mommy's tummy and Hollis couldn't help but giggle at his wonderment. Honestly, she couldn't believe it herself, sometimes.

    "You hungry?"

Ramsay nodded excitedly and Hollis jumped out of bed before hefting him into her arms. For now, she could still carry both of the boys, but she doubted she'd be able to for much longer. It was mostly just practice that got her there from lugging around kindergartners. Nobody truly appreciated how buff elementary school teachers could be.

Although she doubt Miss Farnsworth, the sixty-year old third grade teacher, could carry more than a small book without breaking her arms.

She carried him down the stairs and into the kitchen, where Alice and Luca were already seated, as she expected. She was helping him color in one of their many, many coloring books, but they both looked up as she approached.

"Mama!" Luca jumped out of his chair and hurried over to her as she set Ramsay down.

She hugged her second two year old. "I hope you weren't giving Alice a hard time."

Alice rolled her eyes with a laugh. She'd been handling children long before she joined the Cooke ranks. She stood, holding two cereal bowls and pressed a kiss to Hollis's cheek on her way to the kitchen sink.

With Luca still holding onto her like a lifeline, she followed Alice to grab a banana for herself and Ramsay. "Are you the only two up?" she asked. Antiope was likely still over at the Carver's house; it was the first sleepover she'd been to without Jessica, so she was wondering how she was faring.

    "Yup!" Luca said.

Alice ruffled his hair despite his protests as she passed him. "I think I saw Ernie on his way to the bathroom," she said as she reclaimed her seat at the table and picked up her phone. "Although whether that was to shower or for a pee break is anyone's guess. And Dex took two of the dogs on a walk; I don't know if anyone got up to go with him."

Hollis frowned. She just hoped that if Dexter went without one of the older boys, he remembered to stay within the neighborhood. As if summoned, Osborne trotted into the room from outside. He daintily wiped his paws on the rub by the dog door before bounding over to her.

"Oh! And I fed all the dogs and Mirjami," Alice added before Hollis could go for the dog food. She didn't even look up from her phone, a faint smile on her face. Hollis figured she was probably texting Nixon Stoll, but she knew better than to stick her head in her daughter's high school life. Still, she kept a small smile to herself.

"Mama!" Ramsay shouted from the table and she looked up from the banana she was cutting.

    "Yes, Ramsay?"

    "Can we walk?"

Luca, who was watching her cut, nodded his head at the suggestion and Osborne also perked up. "Walk! Walk!"

Hollis sighed. Well, Dex did only bring two of the dogs. She patted Luca on the head and smiled at Ramsay. "Okay, we'll go on a walk," she agreed before adding. "After breakfast. Do you want to go, Alice?"

Alice shifted in her seat, "I was kinda hoping I could bike over to see Nixon?"

Hollis smiled, "Of course, sweetie. Just text me if you plan on staying for dinner."

"Okay!" Alice pressed a kiss to the top of Ramsay's head before bolting up the stairs to get dressed.

Hollis shook her head as she brought the food over to Ramsay. She offered Luca a raspberry when he sat down next to her. He ate it, but pouted. "I already ate, Mama!"

"Cereal?" she raised an eyebrow. "Big boys gotta eat their fruits too."

He eyed the fruit on her plate before laughing. "I eat blues," he declared before stealing all of her blueberries. She shook her head with a laugh as Ramsay quietly ate his banana.

On Saturday Morning, Shinoa had gotten up around 9:45 AM. Her morning was spent resting and relaxing due to the fact that she was pregnant. After the baby is born, the 31-Year-Old Mother was hoping that she could go back to working at her Beauty Salon, which she had opened up almost seven years ago. In the mean time, she would have to trust her manager and other employees to keep the store running until she could go back to working. For her unborn child, she had settled on the name Lillian. Since everyone often woke up at different times, it was difficult to have a Family Breakfast unless it was planned ahead of time, particularly if the family was going out to eat. In particular though, it didn't really help that Pinball sneaked out of the house early in the morning although according to his sister, Anna, he had left overnight to camp out for a new shoe release. He was definitely going to get a scolding when he gets home. Brushing such thoughts away, she went downstairs quietly. For breakfast, the young mother just had a small bowl of cereal and freshly cut fruits, being extremely mindful of her diet. Afterwards, she waddled up the stairs and went ahead to rest in bed again, the pregnancy taking its toll on her. Looking down at her swollen belly, Shinoa frowned as she started cradling her unborn child. "Just four more weeks...Don't get too comfortable."

Aside from Pinball, she was also annoyed with Jessica, who hadn't left her room all morning. In fact, the two had an argument and a bit of a screaming match a few nights ago concerning her behavior. Just as it escalated though, her son Kai, the eldest of the Bradford Children, separated the two. The fight resulted in the two giving one another the cold shoulder for two days and only last night Jessica came into her Mother's Room apologizing in tears. As these thoughts traversed through Shinoa's mind, she started focusing on her belly, a frown still on her face.

With Summer almost over, at least in his eyes, Michael was just looking into movie releases so that he and Kirke could buy tickets in advance. The last movie they had watched was Ant-Man and the Wasp. Yesterday, both the Teen Titans Go! Movie and Mission Impossible: Fallout were released. He frowned at the thought that there were several R-Rated Movies that seemed interesting or worth watching, but he doubted that his parents would allow him to go watch any of them and it wasn't like Kai could cover him since he wasn't seventeen yet and even then, theaters ruled that they needed a parent or guardian that is over the age of twenty-one to come with them. Sadly, for those movies, he would have to wait until those movies came out on DVD & Blu-Ray. In addition, he was still bummed about being unable to watch Deadpool 2 back in May due to the fact that it was rated R. The rated R films that he did want to go see were Mile 22 and Peppermint, both films being released in August and September respectively. Venom was luckily rated PG-13, but it wasn't going to be released until October. Since it was a Saturday, hopefully the theater wasn't too packed. He had some time to think about it. Since it was still early, he just went ahead and logged into World of WarCraft to kill time while logging onto RuneScape on his Laptop in addition to a plethora of other things since his computer had four monitors. On the center screen, was World of WarCraft. To the left, was the AMC Website since he was still debating on what movie to watch. To the right, was an Internet Browser with Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram) and for the Monitor on Top was a Cat Video Compilation playing on YouTube.

'Eleven-am on a Saturday morning -- should definitely not be used for washing greasy dishes from mom's restaurant' Matt thought, groaning inwardly as another table-load of silverware and dining china was dumped into the murky, slimy, mildly soapy water in the wash basin for him to rinse before putting it in the dishwasher. Normally, Matthew didn't work here, but they were short on help today so Victoria had asked him to come along. Shutting the first 'washer once it was full, Matt closed it with his sneaker-clad foot and started on the second one. He hadn't done dish-duty at a restaurant since his earliest days at TGIF ... and he couldn't really say he missed it.

After what felt like an entire eternity, Matt dried his hands on the apron he had borrowed from the kitchen and untied it from around his back, hanging it up as he headed for the door again, twirling his phone absentmindedly as he went. "Hey Ma'" he called briefly, seeing his step-mom enter the kitchen finally "taking a quick break, be right back" he promised before heading outside. Even if he didn't need to tell them where he was going, it just seemed like a matter of respect.

Swinging his arms around in a quick circle as he strolled into the parking lot, Matt leaned against Victoria's Honda as he unlocked his phone and started tapping away on the screen, figuring his girlfriend would probably be up by now, and curious of how her slumber party was going. -Morning, how's the sleepover? If anyone gives you any problems just let me know- he sent the text to Antiope quickly and slipped the phone into his pocket again, enjoying a few more minutes of fresh air before delving back into the kitchen.

Although she wasn't one to rise quite as early as her husband, Andy had basically adopted the lifestyle of early-birding not long after she and Calvin began dating. Rising sometime between six forty-five and seven, Andromeda began her daily routine of changing into 'chore clothes' (she didn't like the term barn clothes since a good number of her animals didn't actually belong in a barn), which consisted of nothing simpler than just older jeans, a top that she didn't mind getting dirty and barn/mucking boots or old sneakers. Since the family had a large acreage she had gotten Calvin to build a stable on the property when they were going over the blueprints. This place had become her dream and reality all in one.

Pulling open the large wooden doors that kept the stable closed, Andy walked in and looked around; a faint smile on her face while she took in everything. Grabbing one of the grooming bins stacked neatly just next to the door, Andy walked down the short row of stalls, stopping about three down when she reached her destination. "Cardamum!" she exclaimed. "Hey girl, how ya doing today. ready for a nice cleaning" she spoke gently, feeding her equine companion a mint from her pocket as she pulled the mare out of the stall putting her in cross-ties and set to work on grooming. Caring for the animals was something each family member was held accountable for, but if you asked for the animal, then you were held even more responsible. But, as one of the parents, Andromeda still felt it was her responsibility to make sure they followed through.
