- You can have up to four characters- they can be whatever role that is between these three: CCG Agent, Ghoul, or a Ghoul investigator.
- Considering this is a war between Ghouls, Ghoul Agents and the CCG- the numbers will have to be balanced out somehow. If that's not the case, the thread might be on hiatus until we can balance out the roles.
- Don't godmod- keep your characters well balanced where strengths and weakness are concerned.
- If you have any conflicts with another user, please settle it through a message instead of the thread.
- There will be character death in the roleplay, so please don't be alarmed if it does occur.
- Given the various themes in Tokyo Ghoul, there might be scenes mentioning blood, violence, killing, or even the occasional ghoul feasting on someone. Please be aware of that before signing up.
- Romance is fine- besides, it'll help create more dynamic between the characters.
- If there's a lack of characters in either cafe, the current leader in those cafes will attempt to gather more members. ( meaning they'll be making conversation with yours and attempting to change their perspective on the situation.)
- Currently there's no posting expectations, besides replying at least every other day or even somewhere between two to three.
- As far as ranking goes, anything higher than an SS class Ghoul isn't allowed at the moment. Please keep that in mind while creating your character.
- This will be updated throughout the week.

After a few years, the CCG has incorporated a new tactic to battle Ghouls and eliminate them for good. After all, Ghouls have began to show up in other countries beside Japan. Their plan involved using the orphans of adult Ghouls and having them participate in a underground experiment. One that would have them wrapped around their fingers. The orphaned Ghouls were being brainwashed and instructed the same way any other CCG agent was. They would be their new weapons- Ghouls they could use at their disposal.
Naturally, the ones who didn't fall according to plan were disposed of. Despite the perks of having Ghouls as their own comrades, some CCG agents regard them as ravenous dogs. It isn't uncommon to find a few arguments stirring between the two factions.
Gradually, more orphaned ghouls, and children ghouls, are being brought in to be brainwashed by the CCG. Little did they know they were helping out the enemy. For these Ghouls, their memories are wiped and a majority of their education/teaching come from other CCG agents.
--
Meanwhile Ghouls everywhere are forced to pick a side- help eliminate CCG, remain neutral in the pending war, or attempt to help the brainwashed Ghouls. The only problem is the obvious risk they would place themselves in to accomplish this goal. However, some have ignored the obvious risks and running towards their goal- regardless of the consequences that awaits them.
A certain Ghoul group called Noir (temporary) began to make their move to retaliate against the CCG and the Ghouls in their command, under the belief that their words shouldn't complain. Besides, what's the point of staying hidden when they needed to fight back to protect themselves and their territory? This group has no qualms in feeding directly from their prey and shedding the blood of others. It wouldn't be odd to find some members resulting in cannibalism against other Ghouls.
--
Another group called Lux (temporary) has also begun to gather more members in their hopes of maintaining a peaceful world between them and the humans- or the CCG, to be precise. This group prefers to eat meat gathered by one of the members (refer to the way Anteiku and RE: gathers their food). Please keep in mind, they're strictly for peace- shedding the blood of humans isn't something they're keen on doing. Lux also offers a safe haven for other Ghouls, especially orphaned children due to the rise of Ghoul investigators and Noir members.

Rankings and Special information
Naturally, the CCG agents, Ghouls and Ghoul agents will have rankings among them. However, there will be a limit on how many belong to that faction.
RATINGS
The rating of a ghoul is set through evaluation of the ghoul's individual ability. The following criteria are employed to determine the rating according to their individual ability:
- The criteria for SSS ratings are unclear.
- Multiple Special Class Investigators are needed to deal with an SS-rated ghoul.
- The ability of an S+-rated ghoul is (appears to be) equivalent to the ability of an average Special Class Investigator.
- The ability of an S--rated ghoul is (appears to be) equivalent to the ability of an average Associate Special Class Investigator.
- An A-rated ghoul is comparable to a First Class Investigator.
- A B-rated ghoul is comparable to a lower-ranked Investigator (Rank 1 to Rank 3).
- A ghoul of smaller ability is C-rated.
For some ghouls their influence over other ghouls is also taken into account when ratings are given
QUINQUE
A Quinque (Japanese クインケ, romanization kuinke) is a weapon that is fashioned from a ghoul's kagune. Manufactured from a ghoul's kakuhou, the quinque emits electrical signals that stimulate the kakuhou to release and control the kagune. The quinque can be made into various shapes like axes, guns, shields or blades to a degree, but most still retain some characteristics of the original kagune. Another difference between a quinque and a kagune is that former unlike the latter cannot change its shape nor store or absorb anymore Rc Cells other then was harvested from the ghoul it was made from.
In rare cases, a quinque can also be fused from two kagune. The most notable of these chimeras belongs toAkira Mado, combining the koukaku and bikaku styles into one effective weapon.
Also is worth mentioning the quinque Arata, an auto equipping armor created from the Kakuja of Arata Kirishima.
It appears that the quinque is edible for ghouls, as seen when a rampaging Kaneki devours Shinohara´s Arata without any ill side-effects afterwards. If the same can be said about the non-armor types is unknown at the time being. This edible trait could come from the fact that the quinque´s manufacturing process based on a ghoul´s kagune.
Only CCG's rank 2 ghoul investigators and up are permitted to use quinques. The ghoul investigators transport them in bags or suitcases.

KAGUNES
Ukaku
An Ukaku kagune (Japanese 羽赫, romanization ukaku, English feather-red) is spread out like feathers and is released from the shoulder area, it specializes in high speed attacks, most of the users seeming to have hugely enhanced speed. The kagune is lightweight and can be used to deliver high-speed attacks against an adversary, the primary method of attack is crystallising their kagune to deliver a high speed torrent of spike like projectiles, however whilst crystallised they are much stiffer and can't be used for short range combat . While the kagune is suited both for short-distance and long-distance attacks, short-range is considered their weakness.[1] They are able to use their kagune as a shield and some users are shown to be able to shape them into sharp blades, reminiscent of a Koukaku, to aid in close quarters, many have shown to be able to increase the flexibility of their kagune for short range combat though this makes it ill suited for their distinctive long range attacks.
Altogether, ukaku-type ghouls have a high chance to end the battle after a short time. However, releasing the Rc cells extremely decreases stamina. Thus, ukaku-type users lack endurance and are at a disadvantage if the battle drags on for a long time.
Ukaku kagune can use their speed and mobility to shoot down a Bikaku-type user. However, a koukaku-type user can surprise an ukaku-type user by successfully guarding against the ukaku-type user's attacks, leaving the Ukaku vulnerable to counterattacks and exhausting the ukaku-type user in the long run.
Koukaku
A Koukaku kagune (Japanese 甲赫, romanization kōkaku, English shell-red) is released below the shoulder blade. This is achieved by a high density of Rc cells. It is heavy and extremely robust. Of all the kagunes, they have the greatest sturdiness and are especially suited for defense. Normally, they are generally shaped into armors or shields. But on the offense, they can be shaped like melee weapons such as drills, hammers, blades, and swords .
Due to its high weight, a koukaku's speed is inferior to all other kagunes and the kagune is hard to wield.
A koukaku can fend off an ukaku onslaught using its guarding capabilities. However, a rinkaku kagune can deliver severe strikes against the slow koukaku, breaking their kagune and breaching their defenses.
Rinkaku
A Rinkaku kagune (Japanese 鱗赫, romanization rinkaku, English scale-red) has an appearance similar to scaled tentacles and is released at the back around the waist. A rinkaku wielder has powerful regenerative abilities that some of them could even survive the most critical damage done to them. Kaneki Ken, a rinkaku, has abnormal regenerative abilities as he inherited Rize's kagune which is special because of its abnormal regenerating factor even among the rinkaku types. Its peculiar appearance and structure yield a superior striking power. A rinkaku excels in brute strength. Some rinkaku users are able to manipulate the shape of their kagune, such as changing its usual tentacle form into swords or claws.
This type's regenerative power is a result of the Rc cells easily binding together. Their Rc cells are more similar to liquids. However, this means that the binding force among the Rc cells must be weak, therefore making the kagune very easy to break. But because their Rc cells bind so easily, some rinkaku can bind their multiple tentacle-like kagune together to make a larger, stronger kagune.
A rinkaku kagune can deliver severe strikes against the slow koukaku, penetrating the kagune and breaching the koukaku's defenses. However, a rinkaku has serious problems fighting against the balanced bikaku kagune: A bikaku has comprehensively high power, allowing them to fight against the brute-force rinkaku, and the rinkaku kagune's softness makes it comparatively easy for the bikaku to cut the kagune off. This disarms a rinkaku no matter how much strength it may possess, leaving the rinkaku at a disadvantage on the defensive. It has been shown that in some cases, a Bikaku's attack can disable a Rinkaku's regeneration.
Bikaku
A Bikaku kagune (Japanese 尾赫, romanization bikaku, English tail-red) typically has a tail-like appearance and is released around the tail-bone/coccyx. It is good for medium-distance attacks and has decent offense, defense and speed. Thus, they have no notable strengths or weaknesses like the kagune based on other Rc types, meaning the kagune itself is treated as a surprise "trump card."
A bikaku has better speed and durability against the brute-force, breakable rinkaku, allowing them to cut off the rinkaku's kagune. However, a bikaku will be overwhelmed by the faster ukaku user and will lose against the ukaku's long-range attacks.
The balanced characteristics makes the kagune a preferred quinque type for investigators.

UNIQUE KAGUNES
Kakuja
When ghouls repeatedly cannibalize other ghouls, they (rarely) develop an abnormal kagune apart from the common predatory kagune. This kagune typically takes an armor-like shape, and ghouls with such a kagune are called kakujas.
This abnormal transformation kagune also takes after the Rc types.
Chimera
When Ghouls with different RC types have children, there is a small chance that they will inherent from both parents. This trait appears to be extremely rare, with only two known examples appearing in the series.
Detachment
Though the method has still not been explained, some Ghouls possess a rare ability to detach part of their kagune. This detached piece maintains its traits for some time, and continues to function separate from the main body. Thus far, two distinct uses have been observed: Walls and Traps.
A detached Kagune Wall buries into the ground, and sprouts like a thorn bush or other organic barrier. It extends itself to fill the entire area, making passage impossible. Thus far, the only example is the Koukaku Ghoul, Matsumae.
A detached Kagune Trap can be buried within any surface, and coils up on itself. These traps will lie in wait until nearby movement triggers them, bursting from their hiding place to impale whatever set them all. It appears to be possible to set more than a half-dozen traps at a time, though the exact limitation is unknown. The only example thus far is the Chimera Ghoul Nutcracker.
