Daisy hadn't heard her mom's full question because she'd been too concentrated on trying to get buckled in. She was starting to get very frustrated with her buckle when she couldn't get it clipped. Daisy's hand-eye coordination wasn't always the best and her hand shaking wasn't making it any better.

"Y-Yes please, J-Jace." she stuttered when her brother offered to help her she put her hand up and let him buckle her in before the van started. Daisy grinned broadly very excited for the adventure ahead. She didn't fully comprehend how long the trip was going to be and really didn't care. Her family had been so uphappy after daddy left this was the first time they were all together in a while. She looked out the window watching the North Dakotan landscape roll past,

"Wh-when's our fir-irst sto-op?" she called up to her mom as she kicked her shoes off, Daisy didn't like wearing shoes and would take them off most of the time when she could. She leaned down and set her shoes next to her backpack ready to put back on when they stopped. She hoped they'd stop soon and see some of the awesome stuff in Ashley's book.

Daisy pulled out her Lisa Frank coloring book and her box on crayon, carefully putting the crayons on the seat next to her she started to finish coloring a picture of kittens she'd started last night while listening to her book. [/fieldbox]

Phil frowned when he heard his older brother ask Daisy if she needed help. Although he was slowly, key word slowly growing to like he Phil could sometimes be a bit selfish with Jason. He liked to think that Jason was his older brother and his older brother alone and obviously that wasn't the case.

When Jason sat down he saw how weird Jason was acting and was about to ask if something was wrong when Jason asked Angela a question. He had to admit he was a little curious about this cousin they were going to get. Not waiting for her to answer Phil gently leaned on Jason and smiled up at him softly. Phil was scared Jason wouldn't want his affection right now since he was acting weird. Every so often Jason would act weird and Phil had no idea why since he had never asked.

Jason knew they couldn't be very far at all, and he didn't want to check, but he was seriously thinking about getting out the van and staying with Gretchen, but he decided that it was a bit late and Jason would probably die from his ear drums bleeding out from 'Do You Wanna Build A Snowman' or whatever horrible song Disney threw at him. Instead, he closed his eyes, and hoped that perhaps sleep would pull him away. We're going to die he groaned mentally. Claustrophobia and dark moods were two things that made Jason paranoid, and together they became the ultimate paranoia.

Luckily for Jason, there was Phil next to him, which was a huge comfort. He opened his eyes, seeing the soft smile of his little brother, and he wondered which one of the two would suffocate first. You're just being anxious, he told himself, giving Phil a look of affection, not even trying to smile, and he wrapped one arm around Phil, giving him a reassuring hug. "You alright?" he whispered, before lifting his head. He looked around, it looked like the same van. The door wasn't next to him, but it wasn't unreachable. He turned his head, to glance at the windows. Then, he relaxed. He was just being paranoid... and it was over. It was just his mind playing tricks. This was the van he travelled in all the time. Next time, he decided, he'd sit closer to the door. It was a safer option. He concentrated on his mum, and the front window, still holding Phil. If he was trapped, at least he wasn't alone. There was nothing to worry about. Not unless you crash.

Phil smiled even more when his older brother looked down at him and ask him if he was alright. He honestly wasn't sure, he didn't want to go on this trip especially with his "sisters" he didn't have a choice though. On the bright side at least he had his older brother with him. He didn't want to worry Jason so he said, "yeah as long as I'm near you I'll be okay."

It was honestly true, whenever he was with Jason he felt safe no matter what. Without Jason he probably would have run away or locked himself in his room at all times. Maybe tonight they would stay at a hotel and he would be able to get away from his sisters hoping their mother would put the boys in one room and the girls in another with her.

Jason nodded. "Yes... I'll look after you." His eyes scanned the van, and the rushing of outside. Danger was not visible, but perhaps he was looking too much at the veichle and not at those inside it. His family, maybe not by blood, but family nonetheless, could easily gain his trust... and then ruin him.

The ultimate suggestion for the one who would cause danger was obviously Randy, who's relationship with Jason was like an active volcano. However, Randy didn't perceive Jason as a threat. He is the one who'd kill you, his dark side nagged, He's just waiting for the moment. Jason watched him for a few seconds, before the attention moved to Scarlet. Since the divorce, she hasn't exactly been her usual self. She would certainly feel dark enough at times to be a threat. He didn't linger as long as Randy, mostly because he didn't see her much as dangerous rather than having a mope.

He then gazed at Dante for a few seconds. He wasn't really sure what Dante thought of him, especially since they didn't spend very much time together. Perhaps this is because she knows something about you that worries her, his mind suggested, That could certainly be dangerous.

Jason moved on to Daisy. She couldn't hurt you, she's too small and ill. She doesn't have a steady hand to damage you, he tried to convince, But perhaps that is how she would damage... He shivered at the thought, biting his lip anxiously, his foot still moving from left to right.

Speaking of body language, Jason moved to Ashley. If she would damage, she could easily keep it quiet. And her sneaking off is suspicious at times, he considered. The next option was Jack. He isn't exactly ordinary if you think of it. He didn't seem to react to the divorce at all and he's a magician. Full of tricks... likely to be manipulative. He's a threat. He stared at Jack for a few moments, before turning to his mother. Why would she love you more than the woman that bore you? his brain taunted. He didn't bear look at Angelica for very long.

"Hopefully we'll have loads of fun on this road trip," he murmured to Phil. Phil could be a threat, he pointed out to himself, He has your trust. Jason watched the boy, trying to work out what his paranoid characteristic was suggesting, but seeing nothing. He spent a few moments just watching Phil, silently judging. "Are you excited?"

Jack kept his eyes closed as the vehicle started moving. The trip of hell was now beginning. The good thing was he got a row to himself, at least until the trip back. He listened to the family members as they spoke, starting with the unfortunate news about how long the tip would take and the question Agelica asked. And what a foolish question it was. The motel would be a pain more than anything, the landmarks would be boring, and he cared not for his cousin or Tym. They would just become another face in the crowd that was supposedly his family. He wanted to voice that he would enjoy none of it, but felt it was not worth the effort. Why would you ask everyone a question, anyway? If everyone tried to answer it would be difficult to reply to them all. He listened to the family speak a bit longer before pushing the voices away as background noise.

He sat silently in a relaxed state. His thoughts were filled with ideas for new tricks and ways to improve old ones, but he would have to wait until after the trick was over to play around with these ideas. It was always better when he got a horrified reaction out of what he was doing, and there were so many ways to do that. His thoughts were interrupted when he sensed someone watching him. It was as if the eyes had reached out and tapped him on the shoulder. He opened his own eyes and looked back in time to see Jason look from him to Angelica. There seemed to be something off about Jason at the moment, but he couldn't put his finger on what it was. "Did you need something?" he asked Jason.

Phil just sat there looking out the window huddled close to Jason not knowing about the other male's inner battle with himself. When Jason said he hoped they had fun he looked up at him and said, "I only have fun when you're with me...so we should have at least a little fun." He had said it in an innocent way but subconsciously it had a deep meaning, Jason was the only person he cared about. If he didn't have Jason in his life he would have ran away a long time ago...

When he saw Jason giving him a strange look he himself made a confused face, why was Jason looking at him like that? He though but didn't ask. He knew that Jason didn't really like it when he asked questions so he didn't ask. "Well...not really...I would have rather stayed home with you! You're old enough to stay home alone! We could have watched movies and played games and hung out and stuff...but only if you wanted to," he said suddenly worried that maybe the other gave him the weird look because he didn't like him.

He lifted up his head to see Jack watching him. "No thanks, I'm good," he replied, leaving himself watching the boy for a moment, before dropping his head back down to look at Phil. "Exactly, fun, fun, fun," at each word, he got quieter as he wondered what they were doing for fun.

He wanted to ask Phil what was confusing him, not noticing that such thing was him himself, but he knew that his younger brother respected his private thoughts, and Jason wanted to treat him the same, and didn't ask. His face visibly softened when Phil gave his next statement. This kid well and truly cared for him. That, or he'd get you first when you're alone, he considered, before realising he was too small to even try to hurt Jason physically. Mentally was much more likely. "I would've liked that a lot," and that was generally honest thoughts. When he was optimistically with his family, Jason felt a feeling of completeness, and Phil was a pretty big ego boost. "What are your favourite movies?"

Jack had almost been asleep when the van came to a stop. He cracked open his eyes to see that they were on a hill, and not far from where they were he could see the black and white leg of some giant statue. Leaning forward so he could see the full statue he saw that it was a giant cow, and closed his eyes in disbelief. Of all the places to stop.. He knew the landmarks were going to be boring, but this was a bit much. This made Frozen look like the Queen of movies. How he wished he was back at the house. At least there he could have ran off and returned home once it got dark.

With a sigh he got out of the van. At first he had debated whether to get out or not, but who knew when the next chance to stretch his legs would come around. Ignoring the cow he walked in the opposite direction, grumbling as the wind whipped his hair in every direction. He only stopped once he was far enough away not to hear his family talking amongst themselves, but close enough to hear if someone yelled. They could call him back once they were done looking at that stupid cow.

Watching the zipping of other veichles and buildings, Jason was waiting for the moment where he could get out. Luckily, after a while, Jason noticed the world slowed, before halting, and the van stopped. With a grin, and without even looking at the statue, Jason unstrapped himself before getting out without a second thought. He wanted to go for a walk.
Upon exiting the car, Jason looked at the statue they had stopped at. He could see Jack walking in the other direction, but decided not to follow him as he wanted to be with the majority of the group - and Jack was seeming very strange to the boy at the moment. He looked at the statue instead. Why is it a cow? Jason wondered. Could a trampling of cows kill someone? He stayed still, standing and staring at this strange location, waiting for one of his siblings to come with him.

Phil watched as his "family" started getting out of the van. He was having a but if trouble unbuckling himself but after a few tries he was free. Getting outside he quickly looked around for Jason, finding him he walked up to him and said, "why did we come here? It's just a stupid cow."

Phil really didn't see the point in stopping at a big cow it just seemed kinda...stupid. Couldn't they have just kept going? The fast they went the faster they could pick up this stupid cousin and get home, which was pretty much the only thing that Phil wanted to do right now.

Daisy fumbled with her buckle for a bit before getting it undone and climbing out. She scampered towards the giant cow bumping in Phil and Jason as she pushed passes. The young girl stared up at the cow grinning wildly. It was so cool! She reached for her camera and realized it wasn't in her pocket.

Daisy turned and ran back to the van again bumping in Phil and Jason as she darted past. She sprinted across the parking lot, almost getting it by a car, and opened the car back up. Climbing inside Daisy grabbed her camera and jumped out again. She shut the car and ran back to the family. Daisy avoided hitting her brothers this time and stopped in front of the cow. She held her camera up and started taking pictures at different angles,

She bounced up next to Ashley and showed her the camera,
I'm getting pictures for our album! Daisy signed, hoping Ashley was as excited to make an adventure album as she was.

"E-ev-eryone gath-ther up. I wan-nt a pic-icture!" Daisy half requested half said as she bounced around waiting for her family to pose. Daisy knew she had a poor memory and wanted to take pictures so she could remember this trip. She looked around at her family frowning a bit when they didn't gather and pose,

"P-Please?" she asked.

Scarlet had been in her own Little World the whole time she was in the family van, she didn't notice they had stopped... not until she looked up from her phone and saw that she was the last person in the van. She looked out the window and saw the Giant and obnoxious cow statue and rolled her eyes. "Really..." Shaking her head, she hopped out of the van and fixed her skirt. After checking herself out in the rearview mirror, she turned around to hear Daisy ask the family to all stand near the cow. Even though she has been moody these past months, Scarlet still loved Daisy a lot more than some of the other family members. "Fine..." She grinned at Daisy.

Before going over to the cow, she turned around towards the direction Jack went. "Jack Jack! Come over here and take a picture with everybody, please!" She smiled at her little brother, one of the only other family member that she loved like her own. She hoped he would agree to be in the picture, if not for her, at least for Daisy's sake. She had to make sure that her outfit was perfect before going over to the cow. "Okay, ready."

She moved over to the center area of the where the picture would be taking. Everyone knew that when they took a family photo, she HAD to be in the center of the photo. "After we take this, Daisy I want to take a picture of you and Ashley and Jack Jack... together." She signed to Ashley about taking the picture with the other two, her three favorite siblings. "Daisy get ready to take the perfect picture." She put her biggest smile on and posed like a model on a photoshoot.

Randy's journey in the van had been rather uneventful so far. Up until the van stopped, the lad had spent the ride sitting lazily in his seat, almost sliding off to the floor of the vehicle, with his arms crossed while he made grumpy remarks about how stupid the trip was once in a while regardless of whether anyone was actually listening to him. To put it short, Randy was simply pouting like a 5-year-old who was denied a lollipop. A very tasty and colorful lollipop.

As the van came to a stop, the grumpy teen was in no hurry to drag himself out of the doom on wheels and groaned like the fun-killer that he is once he actually managed to set his feet on the ground and properly gaze upon the magnificent and humongous cow. "Oh joy, a huge cow statue! All my hopes and dreams have been fulfilled, this is all I've ever wanted from life," the lad exclaimed sarcastically as he lazily shuffled towards the stupid cow while watching Daisy dart around with little interest. "Can I please die now?" Randy was about to complain some more before he caught sight of Daisy almost running under a friggin' car in her haste to get back to the van for some reason. Which effectively shut him up since he almost got a heart attack. And then Daisy just ran back and started taking pictures of the cow and then babbled on about wanting to take a group picture or something like nothing happened. Jesus christ, that kid.

When people started gathering around for the picture, Randy stopped by his younger sibling first. Grouching down so he could be at eye level with Daisy, the lad spoke firmly. "I'll pose for all the pictures you want if you stop running around like that all by yourself. Alright?" His words more or less came out bit angry even though he didn't mean them to and therefore the message he wanted to get across wasn't exactly the one that was delivered. Nevertheless, Randy had said his piece and straightened back up. He made a move to give Daisy a pat on the head before thinking better of it and just moved to join the others for the picture. Unsurprisingly, the lad looked like he'd rather be anywhere else than by the ridiculous cow statue.

Daisy clapped and grinned when Scarlet started to call the family over and pose.

"Than-ank you, Scar-arlet!" she said gratefully as she started taking pictures of the family as they gathered, but stopped when Randy got down at her eye level. She listened to him her eye widening a little. He sounded kind of angry at her. She hung her head a little, Mommy had told her many times never cross a street without looking around first, but Daisy had forgotten in her excitement. She nodded when Randy was done,

"O-Ok, Ra-andy. I prom-omise. I'll wa-wait next time-me." Daisy promised seriously. And she meant it, she really would try to remember to wait for someone and look both ways before running across a street again. She watched Randy walk over to the family and waited a few more seconds before she started to take pictures again, though her mood was somewhat deflated now.

Daisy paused, realizing Jack was still not with the family. She looked around for him waving for him to hurry up and come over. She wanted her whole family in her pictures. She started to bounce on her toes a little getting impatient for Jack to come over here. She waved again at him,

"J-JACK!" she called waving to him a little wildly. She didn't want Mommy to tell them it was time to go before she got all her pictures taken!

Jack grit his teeth when he heard Scarlet use that god awful nickname. The only nickname he did not mind was Jackal, but it would probably kill Scarlet to get that through her head. Even worse than the name was the reason she called out to him. Why would he want to take pictures with them? He would have enough pictures once he was famous, surrounded by lights and people who loved him yet knew nothing about him. That seemed like the life. A lot better than the one he had now, surrounded by some people who loved him for unknown reasons and that wanted to get to know him. They could try to get to know him all they wanted, but the only parts of his family he wanted to get to know was the parts he could exploit.

Hearing Diasy, and hating the way she sounded and that she could not speak correctly, Jack put on a charming smile and made his way back towards the cow. On the inside he was bristling with annoyance, but his outward appearance was calm and happy. That was until he walked by Daisy. As he passed the younger girl he slowed his pace and looked at her, making sure she was the only one who could see his face. His eyes narrowed in hate and his nose twitched in disgust.

Turning away from Daisy, he put back on the happy facade and stopped in front of Scarlet. "I suppose one picture won't hurt, since it was you who called me over first." Just so long as they got to leave afterwards. He had stretched his legs, and the other had had enough time to do whatever they wanted. He stood so he was not in anyone's way and faced the camera, making himself look quite professional even at a young age and without his usual attire.

"I don't know. Maybe it's a magical cow that gives magic beans?" Jason suggested jokingly, hoping that that was how the fairy tale went. He was glad he could stretch his legs. As he was about to suggest to go on a walk around like Jack, Daisy ran into them. Jason put one foot in front of him to rebalance, before she came rushing back into the van again and he had to put his foot backward. He flinched slightly, irritated that she wasn't being very careful at where she was moving. Luckily, the final time she was and moved around them to prevent knocking him and Phil again. Perhaps she was trying to get our attention? he thought.

It was then that Daisy asked for a picture. Offering of his hand to Phil, he wandered up to the cow statue, however strange it was. He saw Scarlet take centre stage, like she always did, though he wasn't sure why. Maybe she just liked being the centre of attention. He didn't mind either way, and stood to the right of her, hoping that Phil would come with him. He didn't understand what was the point of posing, and stood still, awaiting the photograph to be taken, a small, partially forced smile on his face.

Dante Chrismond:
Once out of the van Dante sat on a rock near the cow and continued to draw. Arching her back over her pencil lightly danced over the top of the sketch book. Creating light colored lines that could easily be erased if needed. Looking up at the the cow she chuckled lightly something so silly being a landmark. Putting one leg over the other she created a table from which she could set her drawing pad on. She looked over at the rest of her mismatched family, in all honesty she never really liked family pictures. A slight smirk spread across her face.

It was true that she had been the one to stop there, but...A giant cow? Really? Honestly when she'd heard her daughter gushing about it she'd thought she'd just been an exaggerating. But lo and behold, for whatever reason, some weirdo had constructed a giant bovine. It was honestly a little frightening. Angelina could only imagine what would happen during an earthquake. It would be a...Moosacre. "Pfft!" Angelina snicked at her own joke as she surveyed the landmark, while keeping an eye on her kids. She was hoping that the weird structure would at least unite the kids in a united 'this is super weird' front, but she was proved wrong when Jack started wandering away, Dante ignored Daisy's pleas and Phil looked just as uncomfortable as he usually did. Angelica sighed, then smiled wildly at Daisy. "Wait for me, hun! I want to be in the picture too!" She called, cheerfully, going to stand behind her kids. "Hey don't look so glum, Jack! After this we'll be checking into a motel that's rumored to be right next to a magician's convention!"She said in a sing song voice. She said rumored because the motel owner hadn't been able to tell her if minors were allowed to attend, but she hoped the odds would be in their favor.

Ashley was excited. Crazy excited. Okay, nearly hysterical which was a feat for her, since she was usually cool and collected, but this was just...IT'S AS BIG AS THEY SAID IT WAS! She wasn't signing to anyone in particular, but she was used to 'speaking' when she wanted to express herself, so she just signed rapidly. She thought that the only thing that could make this better would be if they could go inside the cow, but she hadn't read about any known openings. Nodding to Daisy, Ashley flipped the pages of her scrapbook, to get to a blank one where she wrote the location and name of the landmark before drawing a big X where she would glue the picture. Okay! She signed to Scarlet with a grin and ran over to where her mother, sister, and other siblings were standing. At the mention of a magician's convention, Ashley got even more excited because that meant that she had the chance to impress Jack with the trick she'd been working on! Maybe she could ask one of the magician's for tips! Maybe one of them would ask her to be their assistant! Well, she doubted that one though, because usually when people found out she was deaf, they thought of minor reasons to pick somebody else. But still, she could get tips.

Daisy bounced a bit happily when Jack started to come over, but noticeably slumped when Jack passed her and gave her a look. If Randy had deflated her happiness Jack and practically popped it. She bit her lip nervously and glanced at her family. Dante wasn't there...Daisy saw her on a rock, but didn't try to make her come over. Jack had killed her excitement about taking a family picture.

She smiled a little bit when Ashley and her mom got into the picture. She held the camera up, her hands were shaking more than normal because Jack had gotten her nervous, and she took the picture. She backed up and paused trying to steady her hands. She looked around and saw the sign explaining just why there was a giant cow in the middle of nowhere North Dakota. Daisy backed up to that and rested the camera on the sign she stood on her tip toes and peered through the view finder,

"S-Say cheese!" she called out taking a few pictures before she took her camera off the sign. She trotted over too her family and grabbed Randy's hand. He'd been the one to remind her she couldn't cross streets and parking lots alone so she'd chosen him to go back to the car with her. Daisy also chose Randy because he was bigger than Jack and Jack was scaring her right now so she wanted someone to make her feel safer.

"I-I'm done ta-aking pictur-tures." she announced to her family gripping her camera tightly in one hand so she wouldn't drop it while her other hand was wrapped around two of Randy's fingers, Daisy's hand was too small to wrap around more and barely made it around the two fingers she'd chosen of her big brother's hand.
