Wyn grimaced, having reached forward to stabilize Mirror, resulting in her own head hitting a bar and making her vision swim for a moment. Gods, that had hurt. She hardly noted the throbbing at the moment, though, her mind a bit hazy from the lack of food - she and Mirror ate as little of that concoction as they could - sleep and the darkness gaining more and more control of her mind. She could feel the dark tendrils around her heart now, the shadow just starting to touch the edges of her spirit. Her own power was exhausted, trying to keep the spell at bay and Wyn was sure if she was given just a few more days of this, she'd crumble.
Well...maybe. She felt like she would.
But for Mirror's sake, she might not.
Wyn hoped she wouldn't have to find out as she forced her mind to focus on what was going on right now. The vampire and the Acain witch were speaking again and the light elf frowned deeply at their words, the puzzle-pieces coming together. She gripped the bars in one hand and rested her forehead against it, offering Mirror a faint smile as her dulled green eyes met the child's silver in her dirty face. Wyn touched her fingers to her daughter's face and spoke softly.
"You be ready to run as soon as papa tells you to, all right?" She wasn't going to let Mirror give up hope. Wyn hadn't, though, the darkness wanted her to and she would teach Mirror, show her to have faith in Danny. He would always come for them. Always. And nothing was going to stop him.
