While I haven't traveled extensively yet, I enjoy reading about other people's travel and tourism experiences. In my own country I have also been to some very beautiful places that I would show a couple of pictures of here.

This is a view of the Banaue Rice Terraces in Ifugao, Philippines. I went on a field trip last semester and it was one of the more enriching and colorful experiences I've had that I would definitely like to repeat again. And here's another thing to know about the infamous rice terraces: Banaue is just a part of them, we've also been to Mayoyao. In truth, the Banaue section of the rice terraces isn't part of the actual World Heritage site, though it's certainly beautiful.

I've only been to Guangzhou and Tokyo. I don't remember much, but Japan is way cleaner : |

All hail Hello Kitty Land.

I too have been to Kitti Land, hurrhurr.

I've been some places but I always want to see more. Too bad traveling is expensive.
In terms of favorites... Ireland was beautiful. It was so green with growing things everywhere (sadly that includes the apartments).

Southern Sweden and Denmark have some of the prettiest old buildings. I have building envy when I look at some of the apartments.

Northern Sweden has natural beauty and holy stars. On the drive, I stopped at the side of some stretch of road surrounded by trees and it was incredible.

I haven't been many places. And most of my travel has been within the US. I would love to travel more. See some more National Parks and such. There are a few international places I'd like to go, but it's early and I can't remember where most of them are...

One of my top choices though are the Salt Flats in Bolivia [spoili]

Just this Summer I traveled to California. Saw Old Town Sacramento, and Lake Tahoe as well as Cayucos Beach.

My home state has some pretty cool places to visit too, and I haven't seen them all yet. I've been to the Blue Hole (A natural spring that maintains a constant temperature year round, it's super pretty), and White Sands. [spoili]

I still haven't made it to see Carlsbad Caverns though...

I'm... Actually not sure anymore! Last time there was a dream places to visit thread and I'd mentioned Banff. My parents took me on a drive through there and Jasper as a surprise last month ^_^ so since then I guess nothing's come to mind. I would really, really love to visit them again though! And hm... Maybe travel through a few large bodies of water on a ship. Yaaarr. But otherwise... I'm pretty happy with just discovering more of Alberta.

In one trip, I've been to England, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Switzerland. This was mainly a tour of battlefields Canadians fought in and famous European cities and landmarks. I've been to the Normandy Beaches, Vimy Ridge, the Maginot line, and the Rhine River and I stayed in London, Paris, Amsterdam, Lucerne, and I cannot remember the German city. This was 14 years ago.

In Canada, I have been through most of Southern Ontario and through the crazy beautiful and untouched wilderness of the North of the Canadian Shield, been through Quebec and Montreal to get to New Brunswick, PEI, and Nova Scotia where my family and I mainly did camping, we also went to Cape Breton Island.

When I moved West, I passed through Manitoba, stayed in Winnipeg, Saskatchewan, stayed in Saskatoon, and I now live in Alberta, where I have been mainly around Edmonton, Calgary, Banff and Jasper. The Rocky Mountains are my favorite place on earth. That's home to me. I also crossed the border into British Columbia and hiked to Radium.

Stateside, I only stayed in West Virginia and mostly Clearwater Beach, Florida. I drove through New York, Maryland, Pennisilvanya, both West and regular Virginia, North and South Carolina, and Georgia.

Oh! I love travel! ^-^

I actually grew up in Brazil and moved to Scotland, so English isn't my primary language. I've been lucky enough to be able to travel alla cross the world as a result. I've been all through Middle and South America, Western Europe, Eastern Europe, and the northern part of Africa and surrounding islands. Though I'd love to make it out towards Asia, I haven't yet.

During my travels, I've collected some pretty amazing stories... like nearly being arrested in Panama (APPARENTLY, Panamanian airport officials have NO sense of humor at 3 in the morning when I run of the plane screaming PANAMA by Van Halen) to watching a kid get his finger nibbled on my a piranha in the Amazon Rain forest, to joining a military convoy in Egypt!

I actually am hoping to travel more in the US. I moved here about six years ago now, to Wisconsin, and haven't really seen much. I've been to Chicago, New York... and that's about it! I'm planning a few trips for next year though, including the Bad Lands and Yellowstone.

I've visited Japan! For thirty minutes. On a lay-over to Hong Kong. My dreams of a visiting a convenience store were shattered.

I had the chance to see some great places, but Shanghai, Hong Kong, and London really stand out for me. But maybe that's because I live in a big city already.

The Grand Canyon was probably the most breathtaking though, even if that's a cliche location.

As for places I have visited, there are quite a few, but I have to say my favourite place is Saint John in Canada and Durban in South Africa. I really just love places that have bodies of water nearby.

I used to travel around Europe for different rock/metal festivals when I was younger. My favourite place I've been to is probably Sydney though. We got to know a group of Australians at one of these festivals, and I got a crush on this somewhat stereotypical Aussie girl. She swore a lot, and used their slang, so sometimes I didn't understand her. It was awesome to spend a couple of weeks with her and friends in Australia.

As a (formerly serious) photographer, I've been to several places (US, Philippines, Korea, Japan, England, France, Germany, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Iraq, Singapore, Malaysia), but none compare to Japan. And none in Japan compare to Tokyo. The scenery, the atmosphere, the people, even the food... no comparison for me.

I'm guessing some of you probably have seen at least a few of my pics from here but here's some of my "tourist photographer" shots in Tokyo.
