The problem with the Brownies was concluded and Debbie was enjoying her break while still in Seattle. Eventually she'd be sent somewhere else to trouble shoot, but for the moment there wasn't a care in the world. That all changed when her pager went off. Going to the nearest pay phone she dialed the number on there. "Look to the East," the voice on the other end told her.

Doing to Debbie wasn't sure what she was looking at, across the street were more shops, as she looked up she saw the typical Seattle skyline with its most prominent feature. "We have had some odd occurrences for the last two months. Today we got the confirmation, the tower wizard is dead."

"Did he die this morning?" Debbie asked her attention now on the "tower" in question, Seattle's Space Needle.

"All evidence indicates that she has been dead for the two month period of time. There are other delicacies with her death, including the fact many don't know that she was a dragon," Debra hissed a little at that. She had no issues with nonhumans, but there were many within the society that disliked them, distrusted the, feared them and other bigotry reactions. "She was also mated. We do not know how much he knows, but you will find him at the University of Washington."

A cab ride later Debbie was in the U district and headed for the lecture all. Her target a Professor Quarterstone, a chemestiry instructor. She slipped into the lecture hall and listened as he explained subatomic particles. It was slightly past her level of education, and she had a hard time not nodding off. Eventually the lecture was over. There were many students that tried to talk to him and eventually he turned to her, the lack of recognition possibly bothering him, but perhaps not. "I'd like to talk to you about Tessa," she said in a soft and solemn voice. She was not surprised that she was quickly swept away to his office for a "meeting".
