detective_zero for me

While I praise originality, you DO know that in any world... ESPECIALLY a world with a government organization as widespread as the IGO... a cult of cannibals would be exposed pretty quickly.

Plus... that's only a two paragraph backstory. Minimum acceptable length is three paras.
Aw come on, Beta. They is not open about it. Like at all. A great network. I can promise ya. I was even gonna go explaining it in the IC so cool and shit. Believe in Brock Lee

Oh..well then..

Name: Takeya Honshu
Alias: Takeya the Grillmaster
Age: 28
Gender: Male
Job: Gourmet Criminal, Poacher. Faces a Life Sentence in Honey Prison
Equipment: Grill Gauntlet (shown in appearance, can be set ablaze without harming the user to augment melee attacks), Gentle-Piercing Melk Filet Knife.

Appearance:
tumblr_mc7mt2LmJ21rdcbcmo1_500.jpg

Abilities:

Power: 15
Speed: 16
Intelligence: 11
Techniques: 10
Cooking Skill: 10
Appetite: 18 ( 4,500,000 k/cal Energy Reserves )

Personality: Takeya is a cruel person, some would say. He is a monster, say others. A few say he is a rational and well-mannered person. Whatever the case, he certainly places more value on himself and his desires than anything else. Known to kill animals and leave the carcases, hunt endangered species, and critically injure IGO Agents and Gourmet Hunters sent after him... Takeya is a dangerous enemy of the IGO. However, more than one agent sent after him has returned completely unharmed... though they have said nothing as to how they escaped injury beyond "He let me go."

Back-Story: Born to a wealthy family in the Kingdom of Jiddal, Takeya grew up wanting for nothing. His family owned a large stake in the Gourmet Casino, and thus had access to all the luxuries and ingredients they could ever need. From a young age, Takeya was completely obsessed with Gourmet Hunters and the incredible abilities they possessed. Tales of the Four Heavenly Kings were his nightly bedtime stories and dreams of hunting incredible ingredients visited him nearly every night. This all culminated at the age of fourteen, when his parents told him they were buying him a regimen of Gourmet Cell pills so he could follow his dreams.

The process took just over two years, but at the age of sixteen, Takeya manifested his first Gourmet Cell Ability while out playing with his dog. When he sneezed, a massive gout of flame shot from his mouth and incinerated the poor pet. He called it "Flame Broiling". While the loss of his dog was saddening, he was far more excited that he finally could do the kinds of things that his idolized Gourmet Hunters could do. Over the next three years, he perfected four more techniques. Ash Sweeper, Screaming Skewers, Skewer Thrust, and Grill Brushing... all a potent arsenal for the new Gourmet Hunter. Within only a year of his debut, he was already capturing high-level ingredients such as Rock Drum and Devil Crocodiles.

While he quickly amassed a large fortune from the successful hunts, he was just as quickly discredited as a hunter due to his ruthless methods. While he brought in his targets as promised, the deaths of dozens of other creatures while he was hunting was deemed excessively wasteful and destructive by the IGO. As such, the many markets in IGO Nations were told not to purchase ingredients from the impulsive young man until further notice. Enraged by this, Takeya went off and slaughtered an entire herd of Elephantsaurus. This blatant act of violence forced the IGO's hand and they immediately declared Takeya a Gourmet Criminal.

Having many connections in Jiddal, at least a few of the Elephantsaurus were taken back to the Gourmet Casino and used as ingredients. Takeya was paid very handsomely for the meat and tusks, and lived off of that payout for a while as he further refined his abilities and skills. However, he could not rest on his laurels for long. Three years after returning to Jiddal, he developed more techniques and began to poach creatures from IGO territory to sell to the Gourmet Casino. Initially he flew under the radar... but when he broke into a zoo after hours and stole one of the still critically endangered Energy Arowana, it was decided that he would be sent to the infamous Honey Prison when the day came that he was apprehended.

His current whereabouts are unknown, as he travels all over the land in search of creatures to both poach and consume. Any Gourmet Hunter with information on his location must report to the IGO immediately. Any information leading to his capture will net the informant a reward of fifty million yen. Any hunter who manages to capture him themselves will be given a reward of one-hundred million yen.

Shivering, Controlled Breathing (breath will not freeze in cold temperatures), Intimidation Aura

Name of Technique: Flame Broiling: Rare-Well Done
Type: Offensive
Range: 10m
Description: Flame Broiling relies on Takeya's Gourmet Cells to produce an intense amount of heat that is then expelled from the mouth. Each level produces flames of varying degrees. Rare-Level flames clock in at 500 degrees centigrade, with each level above it being 250 degrees hotter. Well-Done's flames reach temperatures of nearly 1,500 degrees centigrade, more than enough to melt most common metals such as steel or aluminum. the range is short compared to his other ranged techniques, but the sheer power of the attack more than makes up for it.
Calorie Cost: 100,000 k/cal per level

Name of Technique: Ash Sweeper
Type: Defensive
Range: 5m
Description: Ash Sweeper is a technique that sweeps away any attack as if it were the ashes left in the bottom of a grill after cooking. By simply focusing her power and swinging an arm, Takeya bats aside his foe's techniques. Though a powerful defense, Takeya cannot use it in a rapid-fire manner. If faced with a large enough volley of attacks or projectiles, or under attack by more than one enemy, the effectiveness of this defensive technique is cut down drastically.
Calorie Cost: 200,000 k/cal

Name of Technique: Screaming Skewers
Type: Offensive
Range: 200m
Description: Screaming Skewers is Takeya's primary ranged attack. Putting both hands in front of him, he focuses his Gourmet Cells to produce a set of ten and needle-sharp projectiles that are up to 30cm long... one from each fingertip. He then fires these at his foe at high-speed, comparable to a shot from a heavy-draw bow. At longer ranges, it is not too difficult to dodge... but at anything less than twenty meters, the speed required to completely evade this technique is nothing short of superhuman. Each skewer is more than capable of piercing right through a human, and is able to embed itself up to 20cm deep into solid steel. Despite this power, the diameter of each needle is less than a centimeter... so the actual damage done to a body is fairly small unless a vital organ is hit.
Calorie Cost: 25,000 k/cal per volley of 10

Name of Technique: Skewer Thrust
Type: Offensive, Knocking
Range: Melee
Description: Skewer Thrust takes the spikes from Screaming Skewers and utilizes them in a melee attack rather than a ranged one. Keeping the attack active for longer instead of firing it off and the needles disappearing after a few seconds takes much more energy as well. But by focusing the force of a punch on such a small area, the damage to any muscles and nerves is much greater than from the broad force of a fist. This increased damage to tiny portions of the body also classify this technique as a "Knocking" move, due to the nerve damage and stunning/paralytic capabilities it possesses.
Calorie Cost: 50,000 k/cal per post active

Name of Technique: Grill Brushing
Type: Offensive, Defensive
Range: Melee
Description: Grill Brushing is similar to Ash Sweeper, but adapted for use as a melee attack in close quarters. Takeya rotates his body rapidly and 'brushes' away the flesh of any foe unfortunate enough to be engaging him. The attack has even been described by survivors as feeling "like a bunch of coarse wire brushes scraping away at the body". This attack is also Takeya's only way of deflecting more than one attack at a time, as the rotation effect increases the radius of the sweeping effect to a full three-hundred sixty degrees. However, this technique can only be used about once every thirty seconds (once every five posts) at most.
Calorie Cost: 250,000 k/cal

Name of Technique: Hot Potato
Type: Offensive
Range: 100m (10m Explosion)
Description: Unlike the pinpoint damage of the Screaming Skewers, the Hot Potato attack is more akin to a grenade launcher. Takeya explains it as a concentrated application of his "Flame Broiling" technique. Whatever the case, the attack is a small (10cm diameter) ball of orange flames that is fired from Takeya's mouth. On impact with either an object, it explodes with significant force similar to that of a military fragmentation grenade. Incredibly potent, of course... but also not hard to dodge at range if one is moving quickly enough.
Calorie Cost: 50,000 k/cal per "Potato"

Name of Technique: Grill Explosion
Type: Offensive
Range: 20m
Description: Grill Explosion is Takeya's ultimate attack in terms of power. It is a literal explosion of fire and impact force, with a range of twenty meters centered on Takeya himself. the explosion is roughly spherical and even tears into the ground at Takeya's feet, leaving a deep crater where he once stood. the temperature of the flames is even higher than a Well-Done level Flame Broiling, and the force is great enough to damage and collapse even large structures. For example, Takeya once completely removed a two-story home from existence by using this ability... simply to prove his power to his subordinates. The only warning that his enemies get before this attack is unleashed is Takeya drawing his arms in close to his body and across his chest, and Takeya's body growing somewhat reddish-orange in color.
Calorie Cost: 1,000,000 k/cal

Bye RP. We're all gonna die.

Just so my players know... this week is Iron Banner week for Destiny, and the ONLY time I ever get serious about it. As such, I will be quite inactive from today until next Monday night/Tuesday morning. We'll resume then.

Some bad shit happened and I needed to go to the hospital and get stitches in my hand. Will try to post soon, but no promises on account of fucked up hand.

Got an IC post up. Will fix the coding when I can.

Go ahead, Hitomi and Henri. Resist. I don't envy what happens, though.
