Hello everyone, I expect that all the people who would be willing to join are from the Interest Check topic, therefore i will not go into much detail here. The rules of the world would be the same (as in the anime), but that won't be exactly a fandom RP, since we will be making original characters. Hence that doesn't mean we can't have a similar storyline, just a different version. You can use pictures from the anime, or from any other anime forthat matter, but no "Real life" pictures. We can have 3 fractions (two from Ghoul side the third being human ghoul-detectives) You can also be just a human being caught into all the action and a new ghoul (like Kaneki with transplantation). As I said, let's have our own characters, no need to have any of the ones from the show, unless you really really want it. The city is, however, Tokyo, so keep that in mind.

Since this isn't a jump-in roleplay, everyone needs to post a character sheet here, before starting to play. Everyone from the interest-check topic is instantly approved, so you can feel free to post in the role-play topic, after they've posted a CS here.

Abilities/Quinques etc: Ukaku Kagune- blood that flows out of the shoulder and around the arm to form a drill like structure(Not a normal Ukaku, normal Ukakus are shaped into a wing figure but Alucard's Ukaku does something different, After it spreads out like a wing it divides into four large sections and lowers and curves around the arm to make a drill) This heightens speed and Strength alike and still being able to shoot spikes from the Kagune.
Brief back-story: Alucard was born a Ghoul from a father who was a ghoul and a mother who was human, (like the lore pre-tells, one who is born from a hybrid couple is 1 out of 100 chance) Alucard was a lucky child however, his mother died by birth and his father raised him till the age of 12 where Alucards father was murdered in front of him by a army of anti-ghoul group. Till this day he is raised by his grandfather as his butler in the outskirts of tokyo.​

A kind man with a gentleman attitude, he's a passive ghoul which mean he don't attack or eat random human. Kyosuke also once an Aogiri tree member which later he decided to quit and went to make his own alliances.

Kumo Rinkaku - making 4 pair of spider like legs coming out from his back, the 4 pair of spider like legs can turn into drills as well as making Kyosuke more agile.

As a full ghoul Kyosuke have a hard time living since he was abandoned by his parent, Kyosuke ended up taken in by another ghoul couple to their family. Kyosuke learnt all of ghoul need by them and he got the love which a child should get until one day when he was 14, suddenly a group of Ghoul Investigator came and wanted to kill them, the male ghoul ask Kyosuke to leave and smiled before protecting his wife and Kyosuke. After the incident, they both went to other district and open their own cafe.​

Ukaku

An Ukaku kagune (Japanese 羽赫, romanization ukaku, English approximately shining feather) is spread out like feathers and is released from the shoulder area. The kagune is lightweight and can be used to deliver high-speed attacks against an adversary. The kagune is suited both for short-distance and long-distance attacks. Altogether, ukaku-type ghouls have a high chance to end the battle after a short time.
However, releasing the Rc cells extremely decreases stamina. Thus, ukaku-type users lack endurance and are at a disadvantage if the battle drags on for a long time.
Ukaku kagune can use their speed and mobility to shoot down a Bikaku-type user. However, a koukaku-type user can surprise an ukaku-type user by successfully guarding against the ukaku-type user's attacks, leaving the Ukaku vulnerable to counterattacks and exhausting the ukaku-type user in the long run.
Some Ukaku Ghouls are Touka Kirishima, Yoshimura, The One Eyed Owl, Renji Yomo, Kaya Irimi, and Ayato Kirishima
Koukaku

A Koukaku kagune (Japanese 甲赫, romanization kōkaku, English approximately shining shell) is metallic and released below the shoulder blade. This is achieved by a high density of Rc cells. It is heavy and extremely robust. Of all the kagunes, they have the greatest sturdiness and are especially suited for defense. Normally, they are generally shaped into armors or shields. But on the offense, they can be shaped like melee weapons such as drills, hammers or blades.
Due to its high weight, a koukaku's speed is inferior to all other kagunes and the kagune is hard to wield.
A koukaku can fend off an ukaku onslaught using its guarding capabilities. However, a rinkaku kagune can deliver severe strikes against the slow koukaku, breaking their kagune and breaching their defenses. Some Koukaku users are Tsukiyama Shuu, Ryouko Fueguchi, Hinami Fueguchi, Arata Kirishima and Naki

Rinkaku

A Rinkaku kagune (Japanese 鱗赫, romanization rinkaku, English approximately shining scales) has an appearance similar to scaled tentacles and is released at the back around the waist. A rinkaku has powerful regenerative abilities and its peculiar appearance and structure yield a superior striking power. A rinkaku excels in brute strength.
This type's regenerative power is a result of the Rc cells easily binding together. Their Rc cells are more similar to liquids. However, this means that the binding force among the Rc cells must be weak,therefore making the kagune very brittle.
A rinkaku kagune can deliver severe strikes against the slow koukaku, penetrating the kagune and breaching the koukaku's defenses. However, a rinkaku has serious problems to fight against the balanced bikaku kagune: A bikaku has comprehensively high power, allowing them to fight against the brute-force rinkaku, and the rinkaku kagune's brittleness makes it comparatively easy for the bikaku to cut the kagune off. This disarms a rinkaku no matter how much strength it may possess, leaving the rinkaku at a disadvantage on the defensive.
Some Rinkaku Ghouls are Rize Kamishiro, Ken Kaneki, Hinami Fueguchi, Nashiro Yasuhisa, Kurona Yasuhisa, and Yamori/Jason
Bikaku

A Bikaku kagune (Japanese 尾赫, romanization bikaku, English approximately shining tail) typically has a tail-like appearance and is released around the tailbone. It is good for medium-distance attacks and has decent offense, defense and speed. Thus, they have no notable strengths or weaknesses like the kagune based on other Rc types, meaning the kagune itself is treated as a surprise "trump card."
A bikaku has better speed and durability against the brute-force, brittle rinkaku, allowing them to cut off the rinkaku's kagune. However, a bikaku will be overwhelmed by the faster ukaku user and will lose against the ukaku's long-range attacks.
The balanced characteristics makes the kagune a preferred quinque type for investigators.
Some Bikaku Ghouls are Nishiki Nishio, Bin Brothers, Enji Koma, and Shachi
Effects of Cannibalism

When ghouls repeatedly cannibalize other ghouls, they rarely develop an abnormal kagune apart from the common predatory kagune. This kagune typically takes an armor-like shape, and ghouls with such a kagune are called kakujas.
This abnormal kagune also takes after the Rc types.

Effects of Cannibalism

(I know I asked you guys to roll original characters, but I just love Mado-san so much I couldn't resist using his picture for this! The character will bear similarities to him, but of course, it will still be an original one.)​

Name: Takahiro Oozaki
Alias: Weird eyes
Race: Human
Alliance: Ghoul investigators
Age: 43

Personality: Takahiro has two major ways of behaving: towards his co-workers he is helpful, even protective at times. He is not too sociable, but sometimes goes with them for the casual drink at a bar. In the human society, he's rather sarcastic and sometimes even offensive, because he is aware of his own ability exceeding that of almost anyone else. He is extremely witty and not afraid to make jokes out of anything, even a gruesome death for that matter. You will never see Takahiro depressed or looking disturbed, he would be smiling at any given point, regardless of whether he is delivering an insult to a superior or cracking ghoul's skull open.

Takahiro simply despises ghouls! It's not even that he hates them, he simply regards them as lowly parasites, unworthy of living. This disgust of his is physically demonstrated by his habit of wearing gloves in order not to touch the ghouls he fights or inspects with his own flesh. Takahiro believes ghouls are not humans, but animals and therefore any display of human emotion,even the purest kind by, them makes him sick, more than anything else. His previous partner was Kureo Mado himself, so good luck trying to dispel these believes from him. Likewise, any form of torture or bait used against ghouls are perfectly fine with him, as he doesn't see their mental states or emotions as anything but a disgusting pretense.

Unlike Mado, though, he is not blind in his rage, he is of the habit of judging his opponents and fighting them when or where they are weak, unless he absolutely has to do otherwise. All things considered, he is a cold-blooded and calculating man.

Abilities/Quinques etc: Takahiro has had quinques made for him from almost every ghoul he has killed, so he has several of them in storage. Even to his co-workers, he has not revealed their identity. I will show his main quinques here, the rest you may or may not see through the course of the roleplay hehe.

A sword-like quinque, green in colour with red tripes running across it. As a sword, it can be used to easily cut through a ghoul's flesh and inflict deep wounds, even cut through them. Sometimes, though, it can be extended into an umbrella-like structure, encompassing the opponent in a deadly three fangs and piercing through their body in three separate spots to certify their demise. Hid in a suitcase that opens with a click of a button.

Another Sword-like quinque, this one being blue with white stripes running through it. Similar to Ichimaru Gin's bankai, if you have seen Bleach. It is capable of launching itself forward (or backwards, for that matter) at great distances and with tremendous speed, this able to act as a gun or an ambushing device against unsuspecting enemies. Once inside a ghoul's body, it consumes its blood and is no longer breakable by this particular ghoul, also dealing more damage with each cut afterwards. It can pierce through several people at once and can also bounce or twist at its owner's will in order to protect him from harm.

Affinities: Likes his apprentice (if someone else is willing OR DARING HA HA HA to roleplay one), dislikes his superiors whom he considers incompetent and even cowardly.

Brief back-story (optional): Both of his partners (Mado and the one after him) were killed by ghouls, so he is not enthusiastic about getting a new one. The others at the HQ are also not too willing to team up with him, because of his reputation. For those reasons, he is currently working alone. If you want to roleplay an apprentice/partner of mine, we have to meet IC first! You will find the rest, through the course of the roleplay.

GENERAL:

I notice some confusion regarding the Affinities bit. It's WHO not WHAT does your character like and disslike. It means people (or ghouls, of course) so name NPC or tag other players whose characters your character likes. ​

I also see some people don't understand the Alliance part. It's supposed to be a group of ghouls you work together with or are friendly with. Perhaps you'd like to edit that after others have also made their CS, so you can make your choice. If there is no such group for your character you can either make one, or just type "lone wolf". If you type DARK, as most of you have, it would mean you are pat of some sort of a dark alliance.

Finally, I'd liek to ask you all to pick a colour and put your speech in it, so it's easily discernible from the rest of the text. I hereby claim this red!

Personality:
"I became an investigator to protect the lives of humans- not to become a coldblooded murderer."

Due to his strict upbringing, Rin often comes off as a rather quiet but refined gentleman. Altough he is not exactly afraid of voicing his opinions, his manner of actions and speech are always polite. Call him politely blunt, if you will. This chivalrous nature of his can be seen as both his greatest strength and weakness. He does, unlike most investigators, not display signs of hate towards the ghoul race in general, and instead prefers to pick out individuals of 'bad taste', as he likes to express it. This applies to both humans and ghouls. While he understands that ghouls are a threat to the human race and for this reason must be eliminated, he is unable to label all of them as mare insects. He strongly dislikes the thought of harming an individual which has not committed any crime than being themselves, and thus fails to see the reason of hunting down, for example, binge eaters. This view most likely originates from his own upbringing, where he was condemned for something he was not at fault for.

Guided by a strong sense of duty, Rin takes his job very seriously. In fact, he takes almost everything seriously, and is rather terrible at understanding jokes or anything of that nature. Unless the joke is made completely obvious, chances are he will take it literally. Aside from his strong sense of duty, he also has the shackle called honor. The idea of torture or unjustified actions based on presumptions, rather than solid facts is something he thinks of utterly repulsive and tries to avoid at all costs. Due to this, one can either chose to view him as honorable or a fool- neither would be wrong. It is true that in a sense, Rin retrains a almost childish naivety. He is unable to think of ghouls as soulless freaks incapable of thought and emotion (possibly due to their human appearance) and thus always suffers emotionally when forced to take one down. While he doesn't hesitate to pull the trigger on cold blooded murderers, ghouls that might have been otherwise are a completely different matter. When at the point where he has to kill, he always aims to end it as quickly and painlessly as possible.

While he may feel strongly about taking the lives' of 'innocents', Rin's sense of duty prevents him from refusing absolute orders of superiors. He may express displeasure and question as to why this or that must be done, but his upbringing does not allow him to outright defy anyone of higher rank. Rin respects thoughts and views of other people which may disagree with his, but he still holds firm to his own believes.

Abilities/Quinques etc:
Rin does not like the idea of fighting with quinques, as he views it as dishonorable. Nevertheless he knows it is nearly impossible to defeat ghouls without one, and thus, though begrudgingly, accepted to take one into his belongings. He has named it 'reaper', due to the fact that it reminds of a double sided scythe in shape. Black with what appears to be aqua tripes which glow when the quinque is in use, it can become quite the intimidating weapon. Especially so, as both blades can be removed and utilized in as similiar manner as to how one would make use of throwing blades. Once a blade has been dislodged, it will within a short span of time grow back.

While he does possess a quinque and uses it when the situation calls for it, Rin tries to mainly rely on 'natural' means to reach his goals. He is quite adept in the use of a gun, and excels at several martial arts. Swift, agile and far stronger than he looks, Rin can become quite the ferocious opponent if he so likes. Not only physically skilled in combat, but also sharp to the mind, he is rarely seen to express panic or distress in such situations. Instead he tackles most challenges calmly, calculating both his owns and his opponents every moves in order to find their weak points and openings.

Affinities:
Takahiro Oozaki (If you will allow Rin to be his apprentice: this is what I suspect their relationship will be like)
While their views on how things should be done are strongly incompatible, Rin respects Oozaki-san as his teacher and superior. He likes Oozaki's the witty and more light hearted attitude Takahiro displays outside of work, even if he often finds himself embarrassed when misunderstanding his jokes. Not being much of a people person himself, the fact that Rin enjoys his company says quite a lot. Then there is the side of Takahiro Rin simply fails to understand, and often finds himself questioning. At times, he can even find the actions of his teacher to be outright repulsive- even if he rarely expresses his feelings regarding this.

Alucard
They have yet to meet, and I could not for the love of god say how it will pan out once they do. Seeing as he is a ghoul, half or not, Rin will most certainly view him as an enemy which must eventually be taken care of. I can't really see them getting along, due to Alucard's insane streak and what I would guess is a superiority complex of sorts.

Kyouske Egawa
They have yet to meet. If there is one ghoul Rin might be able to sea eye to eye with, I imagine it being Kyouske. Due to their shared gentlemanly natures I believe they could even reach deeper understanding of one another eventually. As he also is a so called 'binge-eater' or 'passive ghoul', Rin would se little reason to dispose of him... even if he knows most of his colleagues would disagree with him.

Seek Niumo
They have yet to meet. Due to the ghouls seemingly arrogant nature, with the added fact that they stand on opposite sides- Rin most likely won't feel much compassion for this fellow either. Their ideals and personalities simply clash too much.

Brief back-story:
For the sake of plot development, I would like to keep most of his background to myself for the time being. He has joined the Ghoul Investigator quite recently- and considering his view on things, one can wonder why. (@Aleksandar: for details about Rin himself, as well as his background you can PM me. X3 I have most of it thought out.)​

Why don't you take a guess? XD Rin is a unisex name, so it can be either male or female depending on which Kanji is used to write it, as far as I understand.
