This is the shape, for the most part, only Ayako's is black. The tips of each leg (when she's fed) can also split into three finger-like claws that allow her to grip onto her prey / climb.

Personality (Preferably paragraph form)

Ayako used to be full of laughter and curiosity. Her fascination with humans and their world was innocent enough that it brought a sense of joy to those who knew her. After her parents' murder and her capture / confinement, however, she underwent a horrific psychological change and her personality fractured into what could be seen as three separate personalities. The most common personality is coy, playful, and sadistic. The second is cold, unfeeling, and ruthless ; this personality usually comes to the surface whenever Ayako is faced with an obstacle or a particularly tricky opponent. Her third personality - the rarest and perhaps the most dangerous - is that of The Child. Whenever this persona takes over, Ayako will commit horrific acts that she finds a child-like amusement in. This personality sees people as toys, and has absolutely no sense of right or wrong.

Since this is the leading lady, I will make her History a bit more lengthy than I would usually prefer.

Ayako was born to two well respected ghouls in Osaka. Her parents were the keepers of a large stretch of prime territory, and served as leaders and guardians to the resident ghouls of the district. Their daughter showed signs of her future strength at a young age, and so she was put into training quite young in order to learn how to control herself. She was the source of much joy and laughter to her friends and family, and helped her parents in the small antique shop they ran in downtown Osaka. From a young age, the girl was fascinated by humans and their way of life, and she would beg her parents constantly to let her go and play with the human children who lived nearby. They only ever agreed should she be chaperoned, but she never minded. Having a relationship with those human children made her believe in a life where she didn't have to hurt humans, but as she grew older her hunger and instincts became a threat to her friends and she came to the conclusion that humans and ghouls needed to remain apart.

When Ayako was thirteen, her entire world came crashing down when her family was reported for suspicious behavior by the parents of the children she'd once called her friends. Ayako arrived home to find her parents begin skinned alive by one of the most notorious Doves in Osaka, who took one look at the child and immediately ordered that she be taken into custody. The little girl was forced to watch her family being tortured to death before being dragged off to one of the Ghoul Containment facilities that were sprouting up all across Japan. She was tortured, shackled, and forced to undergo intense "re-education" meant to make her into a ghoul-killing weapon. She managed to escape at age 17, and lived from ward to ward until her captured a year later. During this brief stint of freedom, Ayako developed her sexual desires that have come to make her kills stand out. After her recapture, she was made to undergo terrifying experiments that nearly killed her, and which twisted her mind even further. However, she bided her time and escaped once again. Now she is on the run in Tokyo, and hungry for revenge on the CCG.

Name: Aoyama Retsuko

Quinche Type / Appearance: Falcata 7/8, rank B - Takes the form of a set of 8 short blades. Bikaku type.

Personality: Modest innate ability, but has achieved a lot through hard work and dedication. Her dogged determination has helped close a number of cold cases, bringing her name to the attention of higher ups despite her lack of connections or reputation. It's also cost her a partner: her quinque kill put her senior partner in hospital but he held the Ghoul off long enough that she could take it out. She seems to eat, sleep and breathe work - except for the occasional "compulsory fun" outing, when she lets down her hair and consumes a breathtaking amount of alcohol. Commutes to and from work on a Kawasaki Z650 but she's been spotted tearing up country roads on a Ninja H2, which explains where she spends all her money....

Brief History: Retsuko grew up poor by the docks in Osaka. Her mother was a bar hostess who was always either working or sleeping off work. She knew she didn't want to end up anything like that, so she worked hard at school. She wasn't the smartest or the strongest but she made up for it by being willing to do anything in order to get ahead.
In the end, she managed to get a transfer to an Academy Junior School. It wasn't really that she was so hot about Ghoul hunting - more that tuition was cheap relative to the quality of education you got. Her dogged ambition didn't go unnoticed though, and eventually she was offered a place in the 6th Academy.
She graduated in the middle of the pack - itself an achievement given her disadvantages - and has served as an Investigator in the CCG ever since.

Personality: Calm, instinctive and utterly depraved of his humanity, Kariudo embodies his nature as a ghoul and always hunts down his prey, often marking them with a coin with the characters 獲物 (Prey) carved into it.

Once he has found prey worthy of the hunt (often CCG or other ghouls) he'll relentlessly chase them down, relishing the feeling of predator vs prey and allowing his instincts rather than logic to guide him on his ventures around the country, never staying in one hunting ground for long so as not to drive future prey away.

Although the head of an organisation, he is primarily a lone hunter only in it for the kill, he rarely associates with others unless its for business or coffee which he enjoys immensely.

Brief history:
Raised on the streets of the 2nd Ward by the few remaining ghouls, Karuido grew up quickly, slaughtering dozens of people and and a few Doves as he was more beast than man, his group of Ghouls leading him around as they preyed on others. As he grew older his nature as an predator slowly took over him and he fought, slaughtered and devoured his own group of ghouls, using their blood, flesh and bones to develop himself into much deadlier ghoul.

As the years passed, he founded a group of like minded Ghouls to form the "Hunters Dominion". A group generally known for hunting and killing dangerous groups of both CCG agents and Ghouls alike, often accepting for the hunt itself rather than the monetary gain, which is secondary to them.

Coined by the CCG as "The Hunter" as he would always mark his prey to let the hunt commence, like a predator toying with its food.

Personality:
Akira is what most would call quiet and reserved from the perspective of acquaintances and those who have little knowledge about her. This is due to the fact that she's often lost deep in thought. Some have described her as watchful / cautious, and that she will stare at individuals in a way that makes some people uncomfortable. This is due to her collecting as much information about an individual as possible before making any solid opinions of them.
From close friends and family she is known to be playful in an almost child-like manner, humorous, sensitive and extremely loyal to those who she sees as trustworthy / deserving.

Akira prefers to feast on those who've already passed on, however she has been known to eat criminals in the past.

Brief History:
Akira comes from a very old and successful artisan family nestled deep within the mountain side a few kilometres from Takayama. They were known for keeping to themselves, however they ran a very successful business, often known to donate to poorer families/businesses to keep the peace and prosperity going within the village.
The Yamada family grew smaller in their years, many having split apart from the main branch, leaving their family small and plagued with infertility problems. Soon they were reduced to five household members, until a new family of ghouls took this as an opportunity to expand their territory, slaughtering the remaining members after Akira's mother, Ayumu, sent her away with a small amount of money to protect her from the same fate.
Akira wandered around Japan for a year before settling in Tokyo to hopefully build new roots and put her past behind her.

She is a bubbly, hyperly clumsy girl that does not know how to read the atmosphere. A natural airhead, she is usually not taken seriously by her peers.
However, it's usually different when she holds a quinque, her concentration and focus heightening then.

Brief History
She was born an orphan, and thus opted and worked hard to become a ghoul investigator in hopes of a better life.
Her motives changed however, when her dear friend was killed by a ghoul. From then on, she worked hard to keep those she deemed close to her safe and to one day be able to kill the ghoul that took her friend's life.

Personality
A snob, to say it lightly. She looks down on other ghouls that simply ravage and rampage around the ward, preferring to imitate the humans in high society and dine in high class restaurants. Thusly, she created an environment for those with similar interest and is known as Head Gourmet.

She prefers solitude and thus, one hardly sees her out. She keeps to herself for the most part and would hardly venture out unless to attend social events for her society.

She is also highly territorial. If any ghoul were to intrude in her hunting ground, she would be merciless and kill them without a thought. That said, she would hardly do it herself, letting her cronies do the job for her.

Brief history
Yasaka was born in the slumps of ward 13, a place that could hardly be called a hunting ground for ghouls.
Coming from another ward, there were hardly any hunting ground left for them, and thus they were left to eat the leftover meat of decomposed bodies for survival.

For years of having to grow up in such an environment, she grew envious of the rich, ghouls and humans alike. She began to crave for wealth and power, determined to leave the slumps behind.

Her attitude began to change and she tried her best to imitate the rich, making use of whatever she had.
Having realised that she possessed a good enough face when her body had developed, she used her charms to weave her way into the circle of elites.

Using different names and identities, she would enter different relationships with whomever showered her with their wealth. And when she had enough, she would kill them off, using human methods, before eating their flesh.

She was known as the Jackal by the CCG due to the mask she used whenever she went out hunting.

Personality:
Daiki is very calm and collected, often not showing a lot of emotion via his facial expressions, as if he had no emotion at all, however he definitely possesses them, he's just more of a logical thinker rather than allowing emotion to get the better of him.
He's a rather sophisticated man, well-spoken and charismatic, however don't let that fool you into believing he is a kind and gentle man, for he was rather cruel in an almost emotionless sense.

Brief History:
Daiki's mother, Soko, is of Japanese descent and his father having been from the Caribbean, they'd often undergo a lot of slack for their relationship. Such a high status woman with some burley man from the Islands was unheard of in Japanese society, but it certainly happened, and they certainly loved each other. Despite the looks and whispers of the elitists, Soko and Emilio became an admirable couple, that was until Emilio went missing one day, and Soko was left alone and pregnant. His body was never discovered, and soon after the birth of Daiki, Soko fell into a deep despair, overcome with postpartum and a strong sense of loss that she took her own life, leaving Daiki under the care of his grandfather, Yakuza.

Daiki was raised well by Yakuza, up until the age of 22, when he would soon succumb to his old age. Daiki inherited his family's riches and homes, which he would sell and purchase a nice penthouse for himself, invest in a few prestigious businesses and leave the rest of his money in a savings account to accommodate for himself or for those he enjoyed the company of.

Takuya is probably one of the most responsible people you'll ever meet. Translation : he's a bit of a buzz kill. Stern, serious, and devoted to his cause, this isn't the sort of man you disrespect. Intelligent and persistent, this investigator will stop at nothing to solve his cases and catch his targets. Having been in the CCG longer than most, he has a wide network of informants that aid him in his pursuit of justice. He is loyal first and foremost to the cause of ghoul eradication, and will gladly lay down his life for what he believes to be right. Of course, that isn't to say he doesn't hold his fellow investigator in very high regard. He had been known to put his life on the line countless times for the sake of others and has the scars to prove it. To Takuya, nothing matters more than creating safer world for the human race, no matter the cost.

Takuya Kirosawa was born into a small working class home in Tokyo's 9th ward. His parents worked hard to give him a good life, but were unable to afford a proper education for their son. In order to make them proud and to do something good and worthy with his life, he decided to enlist in the CCG at age 17. Through hard work and dedication, the young man rose through the ranks slowly but surely until he was made a Special Investigator at age 27. His career had been exceptional, and his name is well known throughout the organization. Over the years, he's taken down some of the most vicious ghouls Tokyo has seen, while always ensuring the safety of his fellow investigators. He commands high respect, especially since his promotion to Special Class Investigator after his success in taking out Ward 17's "Cobra" at age 36. He has recently been reassigned to Tokyo's 13th ward after the recent escape of The Spider - one of the Tokyo Containment Program's finest specimens. With her rumored to have taken up residence in Shibuya, along with a substantial rise in Ghoul activity in that region, he has made it his mission to bring order to the ward once again.

Personality:
Despite his exterior, Kenzou is a laid back, social person. He may not be the kindest of person, but he definitely loves hanging out with his peers and getting to know people.
He can be quite brusque and blunt with his words, although he never really meant harm.

Brief History:
Kenzou was a normal boy with a lot of energy. He could always be found climbing any surface he could, or running around the neighbourhood with his friends. He'd always play to the fullest. For the young Kitakata couple who had no experience with children, they found his hyperactivity to be quite the headache. They were both working, and had little time for the boy. Thus, they enrolled him in different physical activity classes that would keep him occupied while they were not around, and to let him participate in activities that could properly channel his energy.
Growing up, Kenzou's days were filled with martial arts, and different outdoor activities. He entered various competitions, and attended different camping trips with his friends. A social bird, Kenzou was happy with his life. His parents, as busy as they were, gave him as much attention as they could when they were free, bringing him to parks and zoos to fill his weekends. He had little to no complaints.
He entered the CCG after university, believing that it was the best place he could get the most action after becoming an adult.
