To Unite With the Dark.

Must not shoot fire at Commander Axel's face and burn that stuupid beard off. Must not burn commander... Oh it was an obvious struggle for Liana -not- to launch herself out of her chair and literally smack that man! "Commander Axel, my head is -just- fine thank you. And Have you forgotten, I -was- recently on Earth? There were lots more demons there than here. Plenty of demons in that number could easily influence the other humans living there to doing terrible things as Gazdreveg mentioned. I've seen a lot of it -first-hand. May I also remind you, that for the past 20 years I've hunted demons on that planet -alone?- I think the last person who needs to try and tell me my head isn't screwed on right is you. If you don't know for sure what happens, then don't assume I'm making things up. Now, we need to stop wasting time arguing about -my- sanity, and go at least check things out on Earth. That's all I'm saying on the matter except I'll be going along." With that statement, Bossy Empress Liana promptly sat back down, -still pissed!-

Axel was still not convinced with Liana, and even stifled out a chuckle just to tick her off further! Standing up again, Axel began his argument again, "First and foremost, Empress, we can't just "go and check things out". If you were actually around to know a thing or two 20 years ago, you'd know that the Humans have made it practically impossible for us to even step foot inside Earth's atmosphere, especially once they found out we had managed to smuggle you out! And if you were around 20 years ago, you'd also know that the Demons and the Humans have never actually made contact before! Even we know that and we weren't even on Earth! Dr. Fujisawa here explained himself that after you were kidnapped, your brain along with your memories were just about as useful as a bowl of mush! You couldn't remember a damn thing! And if your sanity was alright those 20 years of your absence, you would also remember that you killed A GOOD NUMBER OF WEREWOLVES AND ZOMBIES, AS WELL!!! YOUR OWN PEOPLE!!!!! BUT YOU DON'T REMEMBER THAT, DO YOU?!?! YOU KNOW WHY??? BEACAUSE YOU WERE CRAZY!!!"

"ENOUGH!!!!" Dr. Fujisawa yelled at him, jumping out of his seat. Axel had crossed the line. He had sworn to Fujisawa and Landion, both that he would never mention that in front of her, but yet he had. Shaking his head and rubbing his temples Fujisawa spoke then sat back down, "That is our Empress. You respect her!"

Landion looked at Liana worried. She wasn't supposed to know that at all! He didn't want her blowing her top, and got up pulling the Empress behind him outside the room. Looking at her he rambled, "Liana! You...You weren't supposed to hear that! Never mind Axel, okay? He....He's hard-shelled! Are you okay?"

Landion.jpg

Liana walked out with Landion, infuriated, and a little more than upset! "What the hell is -wrong- with him!" She barely kept from screaming. She didn't honestly know if she could go back in that room and keep dealing with such blatant disrespect, and downright upsetting scene! She was also infuriated Axel had pulled out that trump card, especially because those few -two- kills of her people had been an accident! And she'd hated herself for even hurting them. When her memory was gone, she hadn't known all the time what she was supposed to be hunting, only that she had to keep the evil numbers down somehow. "How do I deal with this? It's... it's like I can't get past him and I'm tempted to go down to Earth -without- help." She added, knowing that would not be any better! She just wanted people not to think she was crazy just because she'd had amnesia! What had happened at the Empress Festival between herself and Gaz had been completely -real!- Would no one else think so??

While Landion talked Liana down outside, Braun had a bone to pick with Axel! "Excuse me, General, but, WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?! That's the Empress for Pete's sake! You can't just talk to her like that! I know you'd hate to admit it, but she's the one over you! She should have you fired for that! And if you weren't General I'd punch you for that!" he yelled.

Of course, the General paid no heed to Braun only saying, "She couldn't fire me even if she wanted to. I am what keeps this military up on it's feet!" When Landion pulled Liana back inside the room, Axel wasn't going to shut up, even if she was royalty. "You know, Empress, it's very unprofessional and immature to have your Guardian towing you around whenever you get angry like a toddler who can't have her way! Say what you will, but if hundreds of Vampire soldiers die beacause of your so-called emergency, just know it'll be on your guilty conscious and not mine!"

Landion.jpg

Liana had managed to compose herself before returning to deal with this -asshole commander-. Something told her his hatred of her went far back, perhaps towards her parents' rule? She didn't know, but she was so tired of being slammed by fuckers like this! "Commander Axel. I needed a moment alone to decide how to deal with you, and your hostility. Since you're not the type who knows what respect or proper control, I'm afraid I will have to demote you at once. From now on you are no commander, but a Brigadier General. Until I see massive improvements in your behavior, you will remain this way. That is all I have to say to you. Braun, you may take over Former-commander Axel's position, I know you can manage a lot better." She sighed, feeling suddenly -very- tired, and wanting to get this entire mission over with quickly. She just didn't seem to get a moment free of complaints about her!

Axel was appalled, and Braun and Landion was shocked! Dr. Fujisawa, however, just sat quietly sipping a cup of water as if he already knew that would happen. Enraged, Axel jumped out of his chair, unwilling to take this without a fight, "FINE! I COULD CARE LESS! ALL OF YOU ARE FOOLS FOR PLACING YOUR LIVES IN A CHILD'S HANDS!!! YOU'RE JUST A CONNIVING LITTLE BRAT THAT NEVER GROWS UP! I KNEW YOU'D BE JUST LIKE THOSE ASSHOLES YOU CALL PARENTS!!! A FILTHY WHORE LIKE YOUR MOTHER AND A TREACHOROUS LITTLE FUCKER LIKE YOUR FATHER!!!" Pulling out his sword, he pressed it up to Liana's neck faster than Landion could catch him! Landion pulled out his broadsword, as well towards the ex-General, and yelled, "HEY! BACK AWAY FROM HER!!!" Axel then grabbed Liana by the arm and whispered in her ear, "I hope you burn in hell you little cunt!" He then marched out of the room slamming the door rather hard behind him! Everyone in the room was then quiet and Landion quickly stood by Liana's side asking her if she was okay.

Braun then stepped up and said to her, "Th-Thanks, Empress! I-I mean thank you, Empress! I will display the behavior of a General the right way, Your Highness, and as a start, I apologize for Gen-I mean Brigadier General Axel's behavior! Are you okay?"

Landion.jpg

Liana was fine, she reassured Landion and Braun, before thanking both of them for their swift rescue. "Perhaps my family wasn't as kind to the people here, but I know that Axel has a permanently bad chip on his shoulder from something that happened ages ago. So... Commander Braun, can we accomplish this mission I described without endangering anyone here ? And I'd like to take as few risks with our troops we take to Earth as well." She added. Her migrane suddenly felt a lot worse than before...

"It'll be really hard, Empress Cordes....but i'll get the troops in order! Just know, that as soon as we do get there, you're going to have to speak with the Secretary-General of the United Nations. He's the one keeping Earth "safe" and making sure that all barriers of Earth are protected! Can you do that?" Braun said scratching his head.

Landion sat upright and the words "Secretary-General". He wasn't exactly....in good sorts....with him. Last time he had met with him, they almost went to blows at each other, and Landion didn't know how he was going to treat him this time when they get there. Turning towards Liana, he added with Braun's words, "Liana, you also need to understand that the Humans hate us, and anyone who has anything to do with us......So.....don't expect the Secretary-General to be nice to you just beacause you're human, too. He doesn't treat Dr. Fujisawa very well either....."

Landion.jpg

Liana nodded, just wishing for a moment she could forget her composure and lean her head against Landion's shoulder. But she knew better, and she knew things were going to become massively more difficult than just now. . .Was all this chaos and hatred really worth it? She didn't know yet, but she'd do what she had to, simply because she was asked. She'd never refused a request from her people before, and she wouldn't now. "Alright, I'll talk to the man." She said with a wary sigh. Already she felt exhausted and beaten down. Now she had to look forward to more insults and possible threats. Why couldn't people just -cooperate- with simple requests anymore? She wondered feeling very tired.

"Well then, let's all get ready! Okay, General Braun, I'm pretty sure you can manage to get all the troops ready, as well as the Courdes 415? And Dr. Fujisawa, I'm sure you'll be coming along, as well?"

Braun nodded and said, "Yes! I'll be on my way, then!" He then ran out the door. He couldn't wait to see what it felt like to wear the General uniforms!

Dr. Fujisawa nodded to Landion blankly, "Yes. I will be coming, this time!" He tried to act as enthusiatic as he could, but having dealt with that stupid Secretary-General more than one time too many, he just didn't know whether or not this time he would be able to keep from blowing his top!

Landion watched as everyone cleared out of the Conference Room until it was just him and the Empress. Turning towards her, he said, "I'll have the Knights escort you out once the shuttle is ready. Get ready, Liana.......That's all I can really say." He then quietly left, as well, to help ready the Courdes 415.

Landion.jpg

Liana was ready. She was ready to throw serious tantrums -that looked properly like an adult on her last nerve of course!- if that's what it took to get this mission over with. Today was supposed to have been a good one... how could everything have gone so far downhill so fast? She didn't know, but it was discouraging to say the least. She was prepared for the journey in less than 15 minutes, and ready to board the Courdes 415. She just had such a bad feeling about everything just then!

Axel walked down the streets of Central City piping mad. Stupid bitch always getting in the way! I didn't think I could hate her more than I hated her parents.....Boy wasn't I wrong!.....She's not to be trusted! Not even that Landion guy! Not even the rest of them! She's got everybody here wrapped around her fingers, but not me! I've got to end this! I've got to save the Vampires from her grasp.....but....I'll have to inquire of Everest's help! Before they get to him! Yeah....YEAH! Me and him have been friends for years! In secret, of course! I promised him I'd hand Liana Courdes to him on a silver platter, and now's my chance to do it for him! He'll thank me a million times over, and then.....when the Dark Creatures come to their senses and see how powerless that little wench is...... I will be the Emperor of the Dark World! Axel chuckled deviously to himself. Say your goodbyes, Liana! There's gonna be a new head honcho in town! Then, after walking into a dark alley, so he couldn't be seen or heard, he pulled out a large walkie-talkie. Tuning it, he began to speak, "5-7, 5-7. Breaker, this is Axel Torch speaking. The Empress is heading for Earth. I repeat, the Empress is heading for Earth. I need to speak with the Secretary-General. Send a transport." And in a flash of light, Axel was gone.

The military HQ was in a frenzy! Space shuttles were docked and ready to take flight at the Air Base behind, and soldiers of all classes were running about hauling and packing weapons and armor of all sorts. They were all ready and prepared for a war, beacause both Landion and General Braun knew that the Secretary-General wasn't going to stop without a fight. Everyone was prepared to fight to the death for their fellow Dark Creatures on Earth. They had even called for another 20 passenger shuttles so that they could carry the 10,000 back to the Dark World with them. No creature would be left behind. Landion stood near the entrance of the Courdes 415 as the Empress' Carriage pulled up quickly. He hurried to escort Liana inside. Now was no time for dilly-dallying----They needed to leave before the Humans got word that they were on their way there. Beacause, of course, the Humans almost always knew when they were coming. And prepared just as they were for a war. Running with the Empress in tow, Landion shouted to her, "You ready for take-off, right? 20 minutes til lift off!!!" Everyone was packed and boarding each shuttles. Landion ran into the control room where Braun was to watch the liftoff. Braun looked back at him and smiled, "Better be ready for some serious turbulence! We're gonna be riding at maximum speed so we can get there in 24 hours or less!" Of course, the Vampire was already ready for the turbulence, but wondered if Liana was. This trip would be really bumpy, but the faster they get there, the faster everything would be over with. As all 115 shuttles flew into the air and away from the Dark World, Landion could only hope that nothing would go wrong.

Landion.jpg

Liana boarded the Courdes 415 with the horrible feeling that -everything- would go wrong very soon, possibly even before they reached Earth! She sincerely hoped not, but it was entirely possible. Still, she was thankful Dr. Fujisawa had managed to give her strong headache relief along the journey, during their last calm moment before arrival after the great rush. She felt better in moments, and capable of taking care of a nearly out of control situation by herself if she had to! She just hoped they'd be able to talk to a supposedly bad tempered man into doing something helpful for both Dark World AND Earth. She had no idea she was supposed to be his enemy already, or what Axel was up to! On Earth she was about to get a horrible shock.

Axel smiled at Secretary-General Everest after telling him the "good news". The royal crown was as good as his.

Secretary-General Aaron Everest of the United Nations turned around in his chair and looked at Axel. He was quiet for some time, and it wasn't until he was done thinking everything through that he decided to speak, ".......Thank you....Axel. It seems like you have stood by your word, after all. I was beginning to wonder whether I could trust you at all...."

Axel cleared his throat and shook his head vigorously in response, "N-No! Never, sir! I would have never went against my word! Ever! I told you I would deliver to you Liana, alive, and I have! Well.....technically!"

Everest looked at Axel with some confusion then spoke again, "Of course.....Call me Aaron, Axel. Please. Me and you.....we go a long way back. Now, tell me. How do you expect to "get me" Liana once they do arrive as you have said?"

The Vampire looked at his Human "friend" deep in thought, and then replied, "Well...I...uh...I was hoping that with the help of your immense army, we could hold back my--err----Braun's---military shuttles! There should be plenty of them coming along behind the Courdes 415, which I shall infiltrate myself with some help of your soldiers, as well! It shouldn't take long either! Liana would rather talk, apparently than fight. So they'll surrender easy! Just as long as they can rescue those 10,000 that you're trying to exterminate."

The 45-year-old looked at Braun again studying his face, then smiled. "Wonderful! You're just as smart as you used to be! I'll have the military fly into space and surrender each shuttle and you can infiltrate the Courdes 415 along with some of my best soldiers, as said," he said. Then, getting up, he walked on over to Axel who was pretty jittery around the head of the UN. And he had every right to be. This man was quite scary and sent a chill down every spine. "Axel.....you don't mind me killing off those 10,000....right? I mean....if you will let me, I can make you my second-in-command here on Earth and the supreme ruler of the Dark World.....but......that;s only if you don't mind......"

Axel lit up at this offer. "Oh! No, sir! I don't mind at all!!! And I would be more than happy to be your second-in-command as well as Emperor of the Dark World!"

The Secretary-General smiled deviously, "Good. Now, go get me the Empress!"

It wasn't long before the shuttles reached the Milky Way Galaxy and approached Earth. Much to the Vampires' surprise the Human military was already there surrounding Earth, waiting for them. Landion and Braun ran around shouting orders trying to get everyone prepared for battle, but it did no good. Each of the Human military shuttles were holding off the other ships. And pretty soon after, a larger shuttle brushed across the Courdes 415 and some unwanted visitors boarded. Powerless against the Human's weapons, quite a few of the soldiers on the ship were instantly killed, and an oddly dressed soldier entered the cargo hold where Landion, Dr. Fujisawa and, the Empress had been hiding. Axel took off his helmet to reveal to them his face. He chuckled and said, "Time to come with me, 'Empress'!"

Landion.jpg

Liana screamed, startled out of her wits that all of this chaos had suddenly appeared out of nowhere like a finely timed trap! "Stay away from us Axel or I'll burn you alive! I won't hesitate this time you two-timing scheming, ugly worthless ASSHOLE!" She readied a fiery attack with bright spheres of reddish white fire in her palms. She threw a sphere directly at the traitors face, not caring how bad it would hurt him. For good measure she even kicked him right between the guy's legs, where it hurt a man most! There was no way in -Hell- she was going anywhere with this bastard, not willingly!

Unfortunately, now she couldn't see Landion or anyone else from her group!

Axel dodged the fire balls and his crotch guard absorbed her kick. Laughing maniacally as a few soldiers stormed in and grabbed hold of Landion and Dr. Fujisawa dragging them away in protest, Axel looked down at Liana, a wide grin shot across his face, "I bet you regret demoting, now, don't you, you little carp ball?! When Everst is done with you, he's gonna skin you alive and feed you body to the sharks! And I will become surpreme ruler of the Dark World!!!!" He then hit Liana on the head with the blunt end of the powerful laser gun in his hands, knocking her out, and then dragged her away by her collar. Everest was going to get an early birthday present!

Landion had been knocked out, too, and so was Dr. Fujisawa. He felt terrible for having let this happen.....He knew that the Humans would know about their arrival, but why hadn't he thought of Axel?! He was sure that that large Demon would be his last mistake, but, apparently, it was not. Maybe, he wasn't a very good Guardian like the Demon had said......Maybe he was better off as a close friend than her protecter....As the assasin drifted off, unwillingly to sleep, he could only hope that someone, would have made it out alive on the Courdes 415. As much as he wanted it to be Braun, he knew that he was at the front of the ship with the other Vampire soldiers, and was probably just as dead as they were. What could he do now?

Landion.jpg

Liana knew she was given a severe concussion this time! Her last few thoughts during consciousness and horrific pain were of Landion and Dr. Fujisawa. The agony she'd gone through her whole life meant nothing. Her roll as Empress was probably going to mean even less soon, and she just felt a horrible sense of complete -doom-. She'd doomed her people, nevermind what she was going to endure! She felt she deserved all of it for being so stupid as wanting to help someone like Gazdreveg! She should have simply ignored him, after all, was he around helping -them- rescue his people? Nope. He was probably back at home with the other wolves, laughing his head off at how idiotic she was for even thinking he'd told her the truth. So what if he could project images into her mind that felt and looked so real. By now she figured he might have used only his imagination to help with that fabrication. Not that she'd ever find out. By the time she woke up, her head and body hurt. She was in a bright room, which didn't help, and she was staring at the Secretary-<wbr>General' himself.... well, maybe glowering would be a better word...

Gazdreveg fought the Humans off as much as he could. He was badly wounded, as were the rest of his Brothers and could barely walk without roaring in pain. Where was the troops? Liana had seemed to agree to help. He was beginning to think that she had lied and had left them there to die just to protect her own safety. This thought alone made Gazdreveg let out an ear-aching roar as he killed off a few more of the Human troops. As much as he fought, the Dark Creatures of Earth were losing this battle, much to the Werewolf Leader's sadness. Just as he was about to give up and go home to check on his mate and children, a Zombie approached him, telling him that Vampire troops had come, but Axel and the Human military had captured them all and locked them away, and the rest of the troops were being held back in space. A sense of relief spread across Gazdreveg's face, but he roared on frustration. "Can't those Vampires do anything right?! They should be able to lead their troops better than this! I'm going to go get that Guardian-boy! You all try to hold them off till I get back!!!" he called out before running off with 3 other Werewolves over the Human military lab.

Landion groaned and sat up. The only light in the room was a small one in the corner of the ceiling. Where the heck was he? The cell was small and everything was white around him. And cushioned! He tried getting up, but someone had stripped him of his clothes and weapons and put him in a straitjacket! He could barely move at all! Hoisting himself up as best he could, he shimmied over to Dr. Fujisawa who was dressed in a straitjacket, as well. Apparently, he was still unconcious, and Landion did the best he could to wake him up without making him angry. "DOC!!!! DOC!!!! WAKE UP!!!! COME ON!!!! WE GOTTA GET OUTTA HERE!!!! WAKE UP!!!!"

"SHUT UP, YOU!!! MY HEAD ALREADY THROB TERRIBLY!!! YOUR YELLING NOT MAKING IT NO BETTER!!!!" he shouted back.

So much for trying not to anger him. Landion sighed and sat back. "Well...now that you're awake.....what are we going to do?! Where are we anyway?!"

Dr. Fujisawa sat quiet for a bit then sat up and looked around the room "We in their military lab. Solitary confinement. It what they do to test subjects that are dangerous and cunning.......There is no way out. Place opens from outside."

Landion gasped unbelievingly at this response and fell over. His best friend was probably dead, Liana was probably about to be dead, and now he and the Doctor was fixing to be test subjects! He groaned and kicked around while Dr. Fujisawa sat in silence, probably deep in thought. It wasn't until the doors swung open with a large bright light and two Human scientists clad in white lab coats on ther side entered, that Landion stopped fumbling around. They covered his face with a black mask so the light wouldn't kill him, tranquilized him, and dragged him away before he could even move a muscle or say a word. Now he was going to die, too.

Braun slowly got up and looked around. This was a disaster! He was the General, now, and he couldn't let the ex-General get away with this! Grabbing a machine gun against the wall, he escaped the Courdes 415 in a small escape pod and landed on Earth with a thud! Thank goodness it's nighttime! Looking out the window, he could see a furry, vicious face looking back at him......

Everest looked at Liana with the most creppy smile plastered across his face. Walking towards her, he said, "Hello, Liana. Long time, no see. Would you like a glass of water?"

Landion.jpg

Liana shook her head, worriedly. She looked at Everest with more worry on her face than hostility. "Why do you feel it so necessary to kill me? Why have you done all these horrible things?" She asked, glancing towards the door, wondering if she could even make a run for it! Sadly, her head pounded so badly she knew she wouldn't be able to even run in a straight line to save her life. She desperately wished she knew Landion and the others were alright, but she somehow knew they weren't! Her best bet now was to keep talking calmly with this obvious -psycho!-

Everest chuckled softly at Liana before continuing to speak, "I don't wish to kill you, Liana. If you are willing to cooperate with me, I'll spare you your life. But.....you have to give me a few things that I want...." Waking over to the window to look out at the troops marching through the streets of New York City by the thousands. "My suggestion is that you comply to my wishes.....you don't want to share the same fate as you parents....do you?" he mocked slightly.

Braun nearly had a heart attack at Gazdreveg's face staring at him on the other side of the glass window. He climed out of the escape pod to quickly greet him, but apparently Gazdreveg had more pressing matters to attend to.

"No time for idle banter! Just follow us! We have to save your Vampire Brothers from the military lab before they do anything damaging to them!" Gazdreveg yelled to Braun as he ran in front of his comrades.

Braun ran behind them as quickly as he could. Vampire Brothers? He wasn't talking about Landion and Dr. Fujisawa was he?

Landion opened his eyes to only see black. The mask was still over his face, and his body was still covered quite a bit so the light would not damage his skin. He felt so groggy from the shot even though the effects only lasted 45 minutes. He could hear the scientists talking amongst each other, but he could only make out certain words....."Administer......Pain......Serum.....Death......DNA....." Everything else was like munmbling to Landion.....he was so out of it! He could feel them injecting him in different places with needles, but if only he knew what! He prayed that someone, anyone could save him and fast! Who knows what these scientists were about to do to him?! Suddenly, he felt a sharper and longer needle had been injected into his back, and he could feel the serum working it's way up his spine. And then.....Pain. So much pain that all he could do was scream. He screamed until he finally and suddenly blacked out. Much to the scientists' shock, Landion began to have what looked like a seizure.

Gazdreveg looked back at Braun once they reached the miltary lab and said firmly, "You should go to the Secretary-General's office in the U.N. Headquarters if you want to save Liana.....She might not have that much time left! We can handle these men and save your Vampire Brothers."

Braun shook his head in protest, "NO! I-I have to save Landion! We can still get there in time later!"

The Werewolf Leader grunted fiercely. "NO! We will NOT! Now GO! We will save your Brothers and meet you there later!!!" he growled.

The General watched as the Werewolves charged inside the large building quickly, killling off all the security guards in their path. Looking to the east, he could see the U.N. Headquarters, and it's immense size over the horizon. He wasn't really too psyched about infiltrating there alone, but now really wasn't the time for negotiating anything......
