1. Between midnight and 3am tonight (central time) there will be an upgrade performed to the server's storage system.  This will result in approximately 30 minutes of downtime.  In the future this will allow for hardware upgrades/migrations without any downtime.  No site data will be lost, but please keep local copies of any posts you are actively working on around that time.

Tips and Tricks for Writing Poetry and Prose

  1. Many times, when trying to create a piece of poetry, or a post for a challenge of some sort, there are difficulties with deciding how to create the poetry or prose. Sometimes, we need a place to go where we can easily find information to help us out in our endeavor.

    That is the purpose of this thread. Here, you can post your Tips and Tricks, or ask questions for the Iwaku Community to answer.

    My Tip: When creating a Limerick, it should follow this Rhyming pattern: AABBA. Five lines, the First Second, and Fifth lines having the same rhyme, and the third and fourth having a different rhyme.

    When finished, your limerick should be easily sung to the rhythm of this Limerick song:
