Till The End of The World

Cordelia kept a close eye on Elizabeth as the girl tried to feed herself, she turned her head to look at Alex for a moment as she started to eat her salad. "This is actually, very good" She said as she began to eat the chicken and salad slowly, one eye watching Elizabeth at all time as the girl eat her carrots. "You're lucky that you all ended up so close together, my parents are on the floor above us, which is okay, as I know my dad has things he needs to do and I doubt they want to be sharing a room with a three year old" She said truthfully.

Her eyes came to rest on one of the maps that sat on the table next to the menus. Picking one up, she looked through the map of the ship. "They have a small cinema screen, a library and a tennis court" She said, smiling at the last bit "Do you play?" She asked, she had played tennis from a young age and had always wanted to teach Elizabeth too. "Lillabeth play too!" The child announced as she looked up from her food to the two adult.

Alex started on eating his salmon which was delecious. He looked up and laughed " Is it? Mines is good too". He listened to her speak and then he took another bite of his food before answering. " Yeah i understand what your saying, my parents wanted me to share a room with my brothers but i told them it be best to be around them since im older and you know". He chuckled.

" Ahh tenis that is a sport i do not play at all, i love swimming basketball, football but not tenis". He gave a high five to Lilabeth when she said she did tenis too. " I bet your great in tenis though". Eating some more of his food he thought about what he would do after eating., Some people were leaving and others stayed still eating. He drank his soda and then leaned back in his chair slightly.

Elizabeth smiled at the man. "Who you?" The child asked. Cordelia chuckled at looked at Alex once more. "She's asking what your name is" She revealed, Elizabeth nodded her head as though the man should have known what she meant. Cordelia soon finished off her salad and pushed her plate away, watching her daughter with a loving smile, she could almost feel her parents watching them all.

"Shall we go and play tennis, Lillabeth?" She asked with a smile, she turned to look at Alex. "If you ever want to give it a shot, I'm more than happy to help" She said as she finished her coke. "Now I've put myself in the mood for a game, shall we go and hit some balls Lillabeth?" She asked the child who nodded happily. "I wonder if they'll have a small enough racket for her" She said, though she doubted they did. "Would you like to come with us?" She asked as she stood up from her seat.

" Im Alexander but you can call me Alex". Once he finished his drink he watched as his brothers walked over to the table. Micheal tried to but him in a choke hold and Johnathan was poking him. " Why are you so strong?". Michael asked when he turnned and placed him in a headlock instead. " Because im older and im stronger". He playfully punched Johnathan who laughed " Hey i want you to meet somebody, This is Cordelia and her daughter Lillabeth". They said hello and then Michael wispered something in his ear.

Alex laughed and then waved them off " Go play somewhere and dont get into trouble". He looked at Cordelia and laughed " I think ill head with you guys for the tenis court. He watched them run off with some kids thier age and he sighed feeling relived that they were making friends. " Im sorry my brothers are..energetic.

Elizabeth struggled to say the man's name before settling with "Al" She said, pointing at the man with a bright smile. Cordelia looked up at the two boys when they headed over to their table. "Hi, it's nice to meet you both" She said, watching as Michael whispered something into Alex's ear, she'd ask him about it later. She smiled as she watched the boy's leaving, nodding her head at them both for a moment. "Good, I'll make sure to go easy on you" She said with a smile as she stood up and took Elizabeth out of her high chair, placing Elizabeth on her hip. "Don't worry, they weren't too energetic" She said with a smile.

Making sure that Elizabeth's backpack was properly on the girl's back, she led them out of the dinning hall and down the hallway, following the signs that led them down to the indoor tennis court. "Could you help me look for a racket for Lillabeth? Otherwise she can just watch us, or even fetch the ball for us" She suggested, wanting to involve her daughter as much as possible.

Alex laughed at the comment and Lillabeth. He nodded " Okay Al". When the Hall was getting cleared, everyone bgan to leavy throwing their plates in the garbage or recycling them. He placed his plates in the recycly trash and followed Cordelia out the hall and into the the indoor tennis room. " Sure ill help you". He searched around for a small racket but the only small one he found was a little to big for her, " Its a bit too big for her". He showed her the racket before grabbing on of his own slowly. He knew he'd loose and he hated loosing.

Cordelia looked at the small racket for a moment. "Want to give it a shot?" She asked the little girl, who nodded her head quickly, putting her hand out for the racket. She smiled and chuckled softly as she handed it to the child. "Come on, Lilabeth, you can play on my side" She told the child with a smile as they headed around to the other side of the net after Cordelia selected a racket for herself. "I'll go easy on you, Alex" She joked, quickly she served the ball and waited for him to return it. Her feet moved like that of a ballerina as she quickly moved to return the ball back to him. Elizabeth looked on in wonder as her head moved from left to right, watching the two adults. "You're a natural at this" She told Alex.

Alex clenched the racket in his hands and he gulped. He felt his stomach drop knowing that he was going to loose. When she served the ball he hit it back, stunned at himself. He moved to return the ball but he was no where as quick as Cordelia. He tripped a few times trying to hit the ball and eventually he was word out gasping for breath waving his hand in signal to stop. Catching his breath he leaned on the wall sweating and he slumped to the floor. " God that was a workout".

Cordelia smiled at Alex as he tried to catch his breath. She placed her racket down and headed towards him, Elizabeth followed behind with one of the tennis balls in her hand. Cordelia sat herself down next to Alex and smiled once more. "You never know how hard tennis is until you actually start it" She said as she watched Elizabeth bouncing the ball at the wall and on the floor. "I think you need to get yourself a bottle of water" She said, moving towards Elizabeth's bag, she pulled out a small bottle and handed it over to him. "Al, okay?" Elizabeth asked as she waddled over to Cordelia, falling down into the woman's lap as she looked up at the man with worried eyes.

Once he caught his breath he looked at Cordelia and laughed " You barley broke a sweat but no thanks tenis isn't for me, but your great at it". When she smiled at him he couldn't help but smile back and when she offered him water he gladly accepted. As he drank the water he watched Lillabeth walk over and sit in Cordelia's lap. " Yeah im fine just tired". Looking back at Cordelia he stood slowly since his body was sore " Its getting late and im sweaty, im gonna head back to my room, if your heading back i can walk with you".

Cordelia nodded her head. "Sure, I think it's past someone's bed time already and plus, I'm exhausted after the events of today" She said as she yawned, her English accent filled the air as she spoke. Standing up, she picked Elizabeth up and held the infant to her chest. "If you don't mind, then I would love for you to walk us to our room" She said, she would feel better to have someone with her, after all, she didn't know the ship and the last thing she needed was to get lost. Holding Elizabeth to her chest, she stood up and headed towards the door once more, stroking the girl's hair as the child began to fall into a deep sleep. "Do you have any idea what time it is?' She asked softly.

Alexander nodded and then pulled out his phone and the clock read 10: 38. He told her the time and he finished the water he gulped down quickly. When she spoke he smiled " I love your accent, your from london aren't you? Im from Brooklyn". Looking at Lillabeth slowly falling asleep close to Cordelia's chest somehow made him want a child of his own. He walked out the tenis room and happily escorted them to their rooms. He stopped infron his room and unlocked the door then he turned to Cordellia " It was a pleasure hanhing out with you today".

"What gave it away?" Cordelia joked with a smile before looking down at Elizabeth. "Yes I am. Brooklyn? I've never been there, but I've heard about it, perhaps you could tell me some more about it someday" She suggested as they came to a stop in front of their room. She search through her pockets for her keys and eventually found it. "Thank you for today, Alex" Cordelia moved to kiss the man's cheek as she unlocked the door. "I'd love to do it again sometime" She revealed softly. "Goodnight. Sleep well" She said as she opened the door and headed inside, shutting it behind her. She slowly placed Elizabeth down on the bed and began to get ready to go to sleep.

" Yes we most deffinitally will and you have to tell me all about London". He smiled. When she kissed his cheek he felt his heart speed up for a quick second and her voice was oh so very tempting, yet he knew she was just being nice. " We will indeed have to hang out again and goodnight to you both". Once onside he closed the door behind him and got into the shower washing the sweat and dirt off his body. After drying off he put on his boxer breifs and layed in the bed shirtess. He always sleeped in his underwear, looking at the clock it was almost 11:00. He slid under the covers and fell asleep with Cordelia heavy on his mind.

Cordelia sighed as she woke up the next morning. Slowly she slipped out of bed and headed over to Elizabeth's bed to find that the girl was already wide awake. "Hello, Lillabeth" She said, picking the girl up she quickly helped her changed into a suitable outfit before she placed Elizabeth in front of the TV after putting on Tangled so that she herself could go and shower and change. After drying her hair she quickly dressed herself, after adding her shoes, she checked her appearance in the mirror before she began to pack Elizabeth's bag for her once more.

After locking the door, Elizabeth and Cordelia headed down the long hallway, going towards the Great Hall once more. Once inside, they were told that most passengers had already eaten so they were free to eat anywhere. Cordelia picked out a large table for four next to one of the windows. Placing Elizabeth in the seat next to her, she started pointing out things from the window, thankfully the news wasn't on this time. After ordering them both some toast and fruit, she began to help her daughter fix the hair of her newest doll.

Alex slowly woke up the next morning, he knew he wasn't exactly a morning person at all. Streaching his body slowly and yawning he climbed out of bed, he looked at his clock and he knew many people had gone to breakfast by now. He walked into the bathroom and started a warm shower stepping in ansd washing himself before drying off with a towel. He out on a shirt and a cardigan and jeans. Putting on his shoes he walked out the room and locked the door behind him.

Once he locked the door he walked around some of the areas he hadn't been before and then found his way to the mess hall. It wasn't as pack as he thought it was so he knew there were early risers that wanted to get here first. He looked around slowly to find somewhere to sit when he saw Cordelia pointing out something to Lillabeth. Slowly he walked over not quite sure if she wanted to spend time with just her and her daughter " Um good morning..do you mind if i join you?".

Cordelia looked up at Alex and smiled at him once more. "Good Morning, did you sleep well?" She asked as she placed Elizabeth's doll down once more on the child's lap."You're more than welcome to join us, the more the better" Cordelia pushed some hair out of her face as she spoke. The waitress arrived with their drinks. "Would you like to order sir?" The waitress asked, looking at the couple. Cordelia placed Elizabeth's orange juice into her sippy cup before giving it to the child.

"Al!" Elizabeth shouted loudly, excitement growing in her voice as she smiled brightly, waving at her new friend. "Al, Al, Al" Cordelia chuckled as she looked at her daughter who put her arms out for Alex.

Alex was glad to see the smile on Cordelia and Lillabeth's face so early in the morning. " I slept terrible but then again im not a morning person, but im glad to see you both". He sat down and when the waitress came over he ordered some coffe with mile and sugar. Seeing that Lillabeth had her arms out he picked her up and placed her in his lap giving her a hug " Did you miss Al". He smiled and then looked up at Cordelia " she's so beautiful just like her mother".

Cordelia smiled at him once more. "You'll get back to your usually sleeping plan soon" She said as she looked at Lillabeth as Alex picked her up, giving her a hug. Elizabeth had never had a father figure before and it seemed that she liked Alex. Elizabeth nodded in answer to Alex's question and cuddled up in his arms. Cordelia blushed as Alex spoke. "Well, you're hardly hard on the eyes either" She said with a smile as she looked at him once more. Their food all arrived for them and she picked up her cutlery. "Would you like me to put her back in her chair or are you okay to have her sit on your knee?" She asked, looking at them with a smile. She wished that she had been able to give Elizabeth some sort of a father figure in her life.

" Yeah your right but my sleeping patterns suck". When Lillabeth cuddled into him he smiled and and then looked up and Cordelia " Thanks for the complament and its fine she can stay on my lap". When the food arrived he placed Lillabeth's food infront of her and he put a napkin on her lap and then he cut up her food for her. Moving his plate to the side he made sure that Lillabeth had room to eat. " So do you have any plans for today?". He asked Cordelia as he watched Lillabeth.

Looking out by the door he saw his mother chatting with some woman, she seemed familiar but he knew it was probubally and only friend of her's. Looking out the window he watched the water and the small jumping fish that splashed about every once in awhile.
