They are a powerful kingdom due to their impressive military prowess but can occasionally be persuaded to fight for another kingdom, usually for money. They have a rivarly with Cavanaugh.[/BCOLOR]

Cavanaugh has a rivalry with Velancha due to their close proximity. The Cavanaugh royals are the richest.[/BCOLOR]

Every year, hundreds of exiled citizens from other kingdoms flee to Sanctuary to start a new life. Crime is abundant there but the harsh guards manage to keep things relatively under control. This nation is very independent, with small farms here and there, but they still need to import from other nations. They offer mercenaries in return.[/BCOLOR]

(I'm sorry, I am aware he doesn't look very young, but I have never done faceclaims before and it's incredibly difficult to find a young actor with the kind of "feeling" that I want my character to convey)

Clothing: Whatever the situation demands: from richly ornamented black tunic, to a comfortable leather archery outfit to the stained robe of an apothecary

PERSONALITY: He is incredibly arrogant, but is skilled at hiding it. Basically he would consider most people outside of Talor to be a little more than pitiful savages, but of course - he would be polite and kind, as it would be bad for a kind to offend others without proper reason. He is also very unlikely to take a genuine liking to anyone, seeing mostly the negative qualities of the people around him. Nevertheless, he has managed to disguise that quality of his in politeness and by not allowing people to actually get really close to him. An apt listener, Nikolay has long ago learned that silence is more precious to gold and is more than likely to remain silent or barely spoken in a conversation, as he would prefer to judge what the others are saying and get to know them better. In the palace life, he has learned that people are likely to tell him what they want and what they hold dear all the time, all he had to do was listen and then use this information for his own goals. From everything said so far, it's evident that he's Machiavellian in character, not shying away from playing even those close to him as pawn for whatever purpose he has. The prince of Talor believes that ends justify the means and his entire life has taught him that this is true.

But it's not all bad! Inside, he actually dreams of meeting someone whom he could share his real secrets with and he sometimes fantasises that there would be at least one person in the world, with whom he doesn't have to pretend. Alas, those are only dreams for moments of weakness, and he prides himself in his resilience. His arrogance also helps make him gracious and kind: because he believes that most of the people around are either too dumb or too limited, he sincerely wants to help them, especially those in the more backwater parts of the empire! Nikolai is also very worldly - he has travelled quite a bit, and he knows quite a lot about the different parts of the Empire. For all these reasons, he is determined to put all of his charm and pretence into this game, in order to claim the title of Emperor. He is certain that it is completely impossible for anyone to manage a kingdom better than him, the only thing he has to do to win is somehow manage to appease whoever would be his wife.

No way is Nikolay actually expecting to find love or anything like that, in this arranged marriage. He is here to win, and he would do anything for that goal.

SECRETS: He is the secret owner and official main patron of the Royal Apothecary Society (R.S.A.) of Talor. Officially, the R.S.A. is a strictly scientific organisation, which aims at developing and perfecting cures for many dangerous diseases and also making them simple and cheap, so that they are available to the largest number of people. The R.S.A. has, over the years, really intervened in cases of outbreaks in various kingdoms, and even given medical advice to the Emperor Himself. For these reason, it is universal symbol of the nobility's benevolence and because of that, many an aristocrat have given it massive donations.
Unofficially, however, only a very small portion of the R.S.A.'s efforts and funds go to their publicly stated goals. In fact, the majority of their efforts and research are aimed at developing new, uncrackable, poisons and infectants and even sometimes selling those to a few of the highest bidders, to a massive profit. The head of the R.S.A.: Grand Apothecary Illiyan Brezinski is Nikolai's right hand man and the closest thing he has to a friend.

Countrary to popular belief, princes do have enemies! Especially princes who are as complacent in trade as he is. Nikolai has silently approved, through inaction, a few assassinations commenced by Brezinski against particularly dangerous enemies and black market tycoons, but never actually against decent or innocent people.

I found some tumblr blog where someone had posted hundreds of faceclaims, but none was good for me :D To be honest, it's my first time using these, so I just thought of the movies I had watched and the actors in them, and then thought who was suitable to represent this character.
