This will be a thread of my OCs. While their backstories may have been originally created with a specific setting in mind, they can be flexible for many settings. This will just be the easiest way to display characters whom I would be willing to play.

1. The Bookish Blonde

Name: Estelle Elizabeth Lockard

Nicknames: Elle, Ellie

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bisexual

Appearance: Estelle's fair-complected countenance is presented with hazel eyes framed by curly, long blonde hair. A flush cannot reach her cheeks without one's notice, and her hair is usually kept out of the way in a braid or bun. Standing at an average 5'5", her figure is accentuated by soft, feminine flares at the hips and the bust that are usually hidden by averagely modest clothing suited for the weather. She has a callous on the interior of her right ring finger that was created by one of her favorite writing pens.

Personality: Estelle is defined by her predominant bookishness. She keeps on her person both novels and journals to keep herself occupied wherever she goes, accompanied by some trusty reading glasses for especially small print. While she can hold a conversation with anyone and is incredibly personable, she is very easily flustered and often thrown off by nonsequiturs. Beyond that, she is kind and fair to those who deserve it and steadfastly loyal to her own beliefs. She is a chronic overthinker and often gruels over making decisions, often due to people-pleasing, perfectionist tendencies. Estelle has a real soft spot for kids and would go out of her way to help brighten someone's day if she were able.

Origins: Estelle's father, Joseph Lockard, was a sailor for a period of time in his early adult years ((for a setting within the confines of our world, Joseph was part of the Irish Navy)), before ending his service and immigrating from his home country ((i.e. to the US)) with a few other former crew members. Within his first year of relocating, he very quickly entered into a marriage with Lillian Lovett, who gave birth to Estelle six months after their wedding. Lillian and Joseph were together for the first 5 years of Estelle's life, but the relationship was not at all strengthened by the presence of a child. Lillian, a product of old money, found herself unsatisfied with practically everything both her husband and daughter were. While she had gotten Joseph a job under her father, it was clear his head was never in that job or within their marriage. Truth be told, Joseph's only desire was to open a bookstore. And he was gay. Lillian had hoped she would be able to mold and create a perfect family, but her methods only resulted in an unhappy, chemistry-less marriage and an overly anxious child. Eventually, Joseph found his spine amongst the dust-ridden boxes of his own desires that he had hidden away, enlightened by his unwavering love for his own daughter, and divorced Lillian. Uninterested in raising Estelle herself, Lillian allowed Joseph full custody of Estelle. Joseph pursued his desire and opened a quaint bookstore and book repair shop, "Lockard's Literature," which had an upstairs apartment unit that Estelle and Joseph occupied after the divorce had settled. Estelle spent her summers and afternoons after school helping her father clerk and manage the store, even taking on the responsibility of managing it by herself if her father had to go on any trips once she turned 18.

Miscellaneous Facts: Mildly allergic to cats. Favorite color and scent is lavender. Prefers tea to coffee.
