Riley sighed from his dingey sackcloth bed in his small cell. It was almost pitch black inside, the only light coming from a dim red bulb down the hall. "Reini?" He whispered softly in just the right tone to avoid being hear by the many planted microphones. If you spoke in a tone soft enough they were near useless; they only picked up low tones.

"Reini, are you awake?" He whispered again. "Tonight is the night. I just know it." While still trying to hold his voice the excitement began to seep in. They'd been planning this for a long, long time. "We need to go now." He gently shook her.

They'd stashed away two of the exo-suits from the warehouse sector and Riley had done his best to soop them up with scrap from around the recycling sector. They had a couple crude weapons and were rigged to move faster, but not much else. They'd have to do.

The only way they could escape was through the front. It was stupid but it just might work. The entire place was built like a turtle shell. The entire shell was beyond heavily fortified and virtually impenetrable, and the only pressure point was the front opening. They'd have to storm through the front guns blazing and then make a break for the forest. But that was much, much easier said than done.
