Actually where I live learning about the Nazi's SS unit is actually part of History class.
There's no specific unit on them, but they come up a lot being a big weapon of the Nazis and all.

So for a lot of people knowledge of the SS is common knowledge, not this really foreign/alien knowledge that you seem to think it is.

It was never taught to me in school where I am from. So for a lot of people it isn't common knowledge LOL

Then that seems to be an education difference according to geography.
All I'm saying is that there will be some people who will know a decent about on the SS, and as a result might first think of that when they see "SS".
