What do you think of when you think about our "modern world?"

"Selfish?" "Boring?" "Normal?"

Hah. You wish.

For a while, everything was pretty normal… Until one fateful day. A blindingly white flash engulfed the globe, shining brilliantly for less than a minute. Once the light faded, the world had dramatically transformed. Trees had been uprooted, buildings were leveled, the skies had clouded over with dull grey clouds, people who couldn't handle the shock were discovered dead once the dust settled… After what survivors had come to call the Great Flash, the world was decimated. Honestly, it looked as if it had been hit with a nuclear bomb. Not only that, but dangerous creatures (known collectively as the Infected) took to Earth's newly ruined environment and made it their home. Infected hunt indiscriminately, seeking out any life forms they can find to consume. Many supernatural entities and other races were violently ejected from their dimensions and stranded on Earth with no way to return to their original worlds or lands.

Nobody is really sure what caused the flash, or whether it will happen again.

What everybody is certain of, however, is that it's getting worse.

The sun very rarely comes out or shines bright enough to properly illuminate the world – it's as if somebody had turned it down to a permanently dim setting. Wildlife is harder and harder to come by, urban areas are either wrecked so badly that people abandoned them long ago, or they're crawling with Infected. People have grown violent or driven to the brink of insanity, causing many to start banding together to try and survive, raiding stores or making trade with either post-apocalyptic merchants or others they encounter that are willing to trade. Supernatural entities and other races of life forms are a very common sight – and a good number of them are joining forces with humans they come across in an effort to survive together.

Who am I?

The name's Kristian Frosse. I started out just trying to survive on my own, but there's definitely power in numbers. That's why I've started recruiting people into my group. This hell we all have weighing on our shoulders keeps trying to crush us… but we're not going down like that. Not without a fight. We don't take in just anybody… I've got to look out for my family, y'know? But if you can prove you're to be trusted… well, we'll cross that bridge when we get there.

There's no going back.

Our futures are forever changed.

This is our nightmare.

PLOT
After the world's natural and celestial balances are upset by the apocalyptic Great Flash that happened on Earth, humans and stranded supernaturals alike are forced to survive and coexist in post-apocalyptic Earth, which has become heavily infested with a primitive, carnivorous species called Infected. This RP will start approximately two years after the Great Flash. The entire landscape is mostly reduced to rubble, but there are a few exceptions -- some forests are still relatively lush, thanks to the forest beings that have set up dwellings in them.
What caused the Great Flash?
Could it happen again?
Why did it drag beings from other dimensions into one singular dimension?
Is somebody behind the creation of the Infected?
Everybody wants answers, but those will come with time… right now, the priority is to stay alive.
CURRENT PLOT: N/A

THE INFECTED
Infected are what all life forms have come to know as the inky black quadrupedal figures that infest our world. They have freakishly long limbs and horribly misshapen bodies, which they can contort and shift however they please, and they always seem to drip a strange black liquid off of their bodies that smells absolutely putrid. Long talons adorn the ends of their feet, perfect for grabbing and ripping into their prey. Their mouths are full of razor-sharp teeth, and their saliva has toxic properties.
Infected are not intelligent creatures in the slightest – all they know is killing, eating, and occasionally turning other species into Infected to keep up the population.

Infected do not need to sleep. They get their energy from eating other life forms around them, and they are strictly carnivorous. Though this might make them seem more terrifying, it's actually a blessing in disguise. Because they constantly need food in order to keep their energy up, Infected are not very physically strong. You could easy bludgeon one to death with a baseball bat, or your bare hands if you're brave enough.

Their eyes are large, very bright glowing colored orbs, and the colors can vary depending on what type of Infected they are:

RED – Red Infected are your run-of-the-mill Infected species. They have no additional abilities and have average stamina.

BLUE – Blue Infected have an affinity for water, and for good reason: they can manipulate their bodies and move much easier in bodies of water or heavy rain. This species of Infected does not stray far from bodies of water and are most commonly found in lakes or abandoned swimming pools. They don't like fighting or hunting out of water, so as long as their prey isn't in grabbing distance of their long limbs, they won't attack… probably.

PURPLE – Purple Infected cannot shape shift or contort their bodies like other species and are much slower in comparison to even humans, but their venom is much more potent and cause more damage. They have the strongest jaws and most toxic saliva out of all Infected species.

WHITE – White Infected have an ability to manipulate their victim's perception of them through hypnotism: they can make their victim think they're fighting a loved one as opposed to an Infected, rendering the victim reluctant or unwilling to attack. They use that pause as their chance to attack/kill their opponent. It's possible to break free from their hypnotism via strong awareness and "mind over matter," but most people just run away from White Infected species.

If a human (or any other race, but humans especially) is bitten by an Infected and does not get the wound treated, they run the risk of turning into an Infected themselves. Once a human becomes an Infected, they have lost every aspect of their identity – their memories, emotions, motivations, bonds… every remnant of what made them human is wiped clean from their brains and replaced with only one thought process: Kill. Eat. Multiply. Repeat.

Supernatural entities or other races naturally have a better immunity to Infected toxins, so they do not need to be treated as quickly as humans do to prevent turning, but if left long enough, they too will become a mindless, murderous Infected.

SUPERNATURALS/OTHER RACES
Nobody really knows how or why, but the Great Flash stranded many supernaturals and other races on post-apocalyptic Earth. They cannot return to their home worlds or lands, so they do their best to make the most of what they've got here.

Any supernatural entity or race is allowed here, as well as what powers they may (or may not) have. I encourage creativity, but if your character runs a high risk of being too OP or god-modding, then I reserve the right to tell you to tweak them a bit. If you have any questions, or you'd like to run a character by me before you fill out the form, then feel free to do so.

Here's a list of beings that are unique to the thread:

Infected – See first spoiler.

Elementals – Elemental is the common term for people who were mutated in some way by the Great Flash. They physically and genetically are human, but they possess powers that allow them to control elements in nature – these range from basic elements (like water) to more unique areas (like shadows). The possibilities are vast.

KRISTIAN'S GROUP
As mentioned before, many life forms have started to form groups in order to increase survivability. Among those is Kristian Frosse, the leader of his own bunch. He views those he allows into the group as part of his family, and he'd do damn near anything to keep them safe. It's an expected rule that everybody in the group (with the exception of Deadweights) is ready and willing to defend each other in conflicts. An ultimate goal of his -- other than survival, of course -- is to get to the bottom of what's going on... it's going to take way more than just himself and a few others. Collaboration is key, and he knows it. Now if only he could stop being so selective and think about the big picture of everything...
Kristian's group as an established hierarchy within it:

Leader
Like the title implies, the leader of the group… well, leads the group. In this case, it's Kristian Frosse. He has the final say in all of the group decisions, which mostly pertain to things like where the group should go next, whether or not they should set up camp in a particular location, etc.

Adviser
The group adviser is the leader's right-hand man. They're the ones that have the closest bond with the leader, and they help the leader make decisions that concern the group. Should anything happen to the current leader, the adviser will step up and become the group's new leader.

Medic(s)
Medics are those that are gifted with healing powers of all kinds. They know how to fight, but either prefer not to, or are not best suited for it. Medics are highly valued and most often are supernatural entities.

Able Bodies
These are average group members that can hold their own in a fight. Able Bodies can be anything from human to supernatural entity. If the group is running low on supplies, then some Able Bodies are selected to seek out more.

Deadweight (Open)
A Deadweight is any group member that cannot defend themselves – this includes those who are sick, elderly, children, or pregnant. Despite the unflattering name, these group members are treated with just as much respect as the others, and they are taken care of to the best of the group's ability.

LONERS
Any being that doesn't belong to Kristian's group is considered a loner, but that doesn't mean that your loner characters can't band together with other players' characters. If a loner wishes to join Kristian's group, they have to prove they're trustworthy… in whatever way Kristian sees fit.

RULES
1. Iwaku rules apply here.
2. No OOC fighting in the discord server. If you pick fights with others, I reserve the right to kick you out of the roleplay.
3. You may make a character any sort of being you would like, but keep them humble -- don't flirt with the possibility of godmodding, Mary Sues/Gary Stus, etc.
4. Romance is allowed, but if the content steers sexual, you must fade to black.
5. You may play more than one character as long as you are able to keep track of them all.

6. As far as writing style goes, I'd like you to post at least two paragraphs (5-7 sentences each).
7. Respect your GM.

appearance:
Face
Kristian has always been a big fan of his long, black, somewhat "swoopy" hair. He would insist that it's just because he thinks it looks good, and while that's definitely true, he likes that he can hide his face in his hair if he really tries.
His eyes are a pale sort of dull golden color, and they rarely ever give away any emotion he's feelings. In fact, sometimes it feels like he's giving you a thousand yard stare as opposed to direct eye contact. Some find this unnerving.
He's been told that he has a charming sort of smile, the kind that he can make crooked if he wants give off a certain impression. His canines are slightly more pointed than normal, and it's pretty noticeable if he smiles wide or laughs. His jawline is rather sharp, giving him a very masculine feel to him.

Body
There's no contesting the fact that Kristian is in good physical shape. Sure, he works out too, but he doesn't really like to do so. He's not exactly "ripped," but rather toned. He's not out here looking like a bodybuilder, but you can tell he's pretty active. He wears a black track suit with a white border along the collar and sleeves, along with a white t-shirt underneath, though he walks barefoot so that he can properly use his ice powers.

Stature
Surprisingly, he's not that tall compared to most men. Kristian stands at a height of five feet and exactly seven inches, and while he's grown up being teased about it for much of his childhood and early teens, he's learned to just let the comments roll off of him like water on a duck's back. If anything, Kristian's pretty confident that he can take most people in a fight, even if he's shorter than his opponent.

personality:
- strengths
Strategic
Kristian is almost always planning ahead -- it's just in his nature. He's very organized, even to the point of keeping a pocket calendar on him at all times. Often, when he's out and about, he makes a concerted effort to take note of the quickest/most efficient escape routes. He would insist that it's not because he's paranoid... he just likes to be prepared.

Good Actor
Except, not in the traditional theatre sense... Kristian is very good at concealing his emotions and what he's really thinking. As a result, he's pretty used to getting away with telling lies, but he tries to keep that to a minimum. White lies are exceptionally easy to pass off, and whoppers take more effort from him, but it's not very often that he gets called out on his bullshit.

Combat Savvy
Kristian knows how to defend himself in combat, and he's not afraid to finish (or start, most commonly) a fight. He grew up taking martial arts lessons and self-defense classes, so he figures why not use what he knows whenever he can? Basically, Kristian is by no means a pacifist.

- weaknesses
Creativity
Ever tried to make Kristian do something creative, like write poetry or paint something? It's like giving a dog a bath. Best case scenario, he'll just sit and do nothing until he doesn't have to be there anymore. Worst case scenario, he'll try and muscle his way out of the situation to escape. He just doesn't have a creative bone in his body -- he's much more comfortable with numbers and hard science than abstract concepts.

Emotionally Closed Off
All the torture devices in the world would seem infinitely more favorable to Kristian than forcing him to talk about his feelings -- his real feelings. He can't stand the feeling of being vulnerable, and he's so scared that somebody is either going to use his feelings against him, or that when they inevitably (in his opinion, anyway) leave him, it will hurt him again. He does not enjoy talking about emotions in the slightest, which causes a lot of problems with internalizing everything and lashing out when it gets to be too much... he's still learning.

Short Fuse
If the man were a stick of dynamite, it wouldn't even have a tiny fuse... it would have exploded years ago. Even though Kristian isn't good at dealing with his emotions, the one that he doesn't mind showing very plainly to people is anger. He's quick to react to insults and become defensive, and he has no qualms about throwing the first punch. It's gotten him into trouble countless times, but it has also kept him and his group pretty safe... so, he doesn't see much harm in his aggression at the moment.

- likes
His "family" (the group), being tidy, dogs, playing with his ice powers, winning a fight

- dislikes
Sleeping (chronic nightmares), giant messes, Infected, cars/driving, outsiders (until they've earned his trust)

- fears
Getting Hurt Again
This 100% stems from the loss of his father as a young child. After his father passed away when Kristian was nine years old, he's afraid to get attached to things or other people in case they leave him or get taken away again. He's very used to living his life as a floater, coming and going from people's lives as he pleases... sure, he's not genuinely close with anybody in his life, but it sure beats getting hurt again... right? He is still learning to overcome this, and being a part of the group has helped him immensely... but he's still got some ways to go.

Cars
Considering his father died in a car accident, it's really no surprise that he's stayed away from cars or driving. He doesn't even have his learner's permit -- Kristian avoids the concept of driving like the plague.

Water
He can't swim. At all. Being near a deep body of water makes him a little nervous, but he hates to admit that. Now that he has his powers, however, he finds that he doesn't ever have to learn -- he can just walk upon the water with the ice he can produce from his feet.

powers?:
Being an elemental, Kristian's powers are focused on nature -- specifically, ice. He has complete control over conjuring ice. He pulls moisture from the air (or his own body in a pinch) to create ice from his hands as well as his feet. When his powers are activated, his eyes change from dull gold to bright, powdery blue. Kristian can create snow, frost, ice shards, thick slabs of ice, and beams of ice/snow from his hands and feet, and the intensity greatly depends on his mood. Sometimes, if he's in a rage or consumed with fear, Kristian can cause a full on blizzard without meaning to.

history:

It all really started when his father passed away.

Kristian was born to two loving parents, but he and his father were especially close. His father wasn't a conventional father, being a stay-at-home dad, so Mr. Frosse made sure that Kristian understood the ins and outs of taking care of a home and that he could pull his own domestic weight in a household. This included cleaning the house while Mrs. Frosse relaxed after a long day of work, and this is where Kristian's clean freak tendencies were nursed. Kristian and his dad loved to play card games together as well: blackjack, speed, war, go fish, crazy eights... you name it, the Frosse men would play it. Mrs. Frosse would often join them unless she went to bed early for work.

Then, one day, when Kristian was nine years old, he got called out of class and taken to the front office of the school. He was greeted by his mother, still in her work uniform, makeup smeared down her face from tears. She explained to him the best that she could that Mr. Frosse had gotten into a terrible car accident while he was running errands, which meant that Daddy was dead. Kristian didn't comprehend it for a little while, but once it hit him later that day, it changed him forever. He often fell asleep on wet pillowcases from sobbing in the night over his father's death, hating that he never got to say goodbye.

As he grew up, Kristian became detached and generally apathetic towards life. His mother was still loving towards him and tried to understand the changes her son was going through, but nothing could have prepared her for Kristian's coping mechanisms of choice. He got involved with casual drug use and drinking when he was in his early teens, becoming more and more deviant every passing day. He got into more fights and had many violent outbursts due to his emotional repression, which his mother tried to give an outlet for by enrolling him in self-defense and martial arts classes. They helped somewhat with his violent tendencies, but did nothing to stifle the substance abuse. By the time he was 16, Kristian dropped out of school completely and became addicted to the local party scene. He liked that he could fall asleep significantly easier while under the influence of anything he could find, and he still hates the feeling of being sober. Eventually, he and his mother had a grand falling out, causing him to move out at age 17 into a single bedroom apartment by himself. Deep down, they still loved each other, but neither one knew how to reconcile with the other.

It didn't take long for Kristian to decide to form a group after the Great Flash happened. He's not exactly a warm and fuzzy person, but despite that, he's found it in himself to trust others to have his back. Opening up to others and trusting them is still a work in progress for him, but hey, it's a start.

I have a few idea's for possible characters, but before I decide on anything, I must ask an important question:

In terms of supernatural races, some are said to be magically inclined(elves, fairies, djinn, etc.), and that brings up the most important magical 'race', witches/warlocks/magical 'humans'. Would you classify those as a supernatural race separate from humans, or would they simply be elementals attuned to magic(mysticism is in some myths and legends considered an element)

Apologies in advance as this is going to be a pretty long post. I'm definitely playing more than one character and want to give each of them the respect and attention that they deserve. So, here we go.

Name: Kabuto(Real name: Kaz Toyoma)

age: 20
race/species: Human with insect like features(mandibles/scorpion tail)
gender: Male
sexuality: Asexual
allegiance (Kristian's group [if yes, what rank?] or loner?): He runs his own gang with three other members. Two of whom are also insect related and one of whom is just a trusted friend of Kabuto's.
appearance: 5'7 with spiked black hair that he tends to gel back when he needs to get serious/wants to be taken seriously and feels he can't because of his hair. He usually wears plaid long-sleeved shirts and blue or black jeans.

personality: Kabuto is an intelligent individual having gotten excelled in most of his classes as a kid with social studies and English being his favorite subjects. After the bombs however, his body went through horrific mutations due to the proximity of a scorpion that he kept as a pet. The fallout from the bomb twisted and contorted Kabuto's body in the process. His flesh near his lower back/thighs erupted outwards to sprout a scorpion-like tail with a stinger and venom ready to go like any authentic person. His skin took on a much tougher complex with it feeling abrasive and rough to the touch. To the point that if you're not careful and just randomly grab at his arm, you could wind up cutting yourself.

The most distinguishing mutation however were the insect like mandibles that grew out of either side of Kabuto's mouth. Having grown through the flesh of his mouth and being made of dentin/keratin like human teeth rather than a true insect's owing to his still human body. The mandibles don't seem to cause Kabuto any harm and are actually useable and strong enough to rip doors off their hinges or crush gun barrels in their midst. One with sufficient super strength however can rip the mandible right off Kabuto's face causing an immense blood spurt and forcing him to have to regrow it.

Why have I stated this here instead of powers? It's because the mandibles make it INCREDIBLY difficult for Kabuto to speak. When he doesn't keep them hidden using the beak like muzzle in the pic above, spittle and drool is often running out of his mouth on a daily occurrence and unless he files the mandibles down to an acceptable level, there isn't much he can do in this regard. It angers him when people think of him as stupid or mentally challenged as a result of this mutation. One of the quickest ways to get on Kabuto's bad side is to insult his massive speech impediment or kill/say you hate insects near him.

However, despite his off-putting appearance and demeanor Kabuto is still highly self conscious of his deformaties. He keeps his scorpion tail hidden by wearing shirts that are much too big for him and his thin frame to cover it and bandages it to his back/waist so he's not just dragging it around. He also doesn't like having to rely on 'Joe' to do the talking for him because it makes him feel inadequate. Still if you're a part of his crew and are polite to him, he'll welcome you with open arms. If not? He'll rip your heard off with his mandibles.

- strengths: Strong, determined, good leader and kind to his men despite if they mess up or not.
- weaknesses: He can secrete an anti venom to his poison from his pores but it takes a while. If you break one of his mandibles off, it'll likely stn him as he deals with the massive bleeding.
- likes: Bugs, arachnids, crustaceans, scorpions are his favorite. His men because he values them greatly.
- dislikes: Racists, sexists, people who murder or kill bugs, disrespect or being considered stupid
- fears: His men leaving him one day for greener pastures.
powers?:He doesn't have a particular power in that he can fire energy beams or anything like that. But rather he's adopted traits of a King Scorpion: (i.e he has a tail that he keeps wrapped up/strapped to his back with bandages and belts so as not to let it swing freely around. The tail is obviously poisonous and if he needs to, he can secrete an anti-venom from his pores. But what might catch one's eyes the most are the twin pair of mandibles on either side of his mouth/face. Due to the massive size of the mandibles(think of an ant's mandibles adjusted to human size) Kabuto is very difficult to understand normally and thus what he says can often seem like gibberish. The only way to get around this is to write/type/file down his mandibles and wait for them to grow back or allow the next member of the gang that I'll detail to translate for him.

history: Kabuto is simply an alias he made up to reflect his 'new' self with mutations and all. His birth name was Kasahara(Kaz) Toyoma. Having had a strong fascination with animals and the study of nature in general, Kaz's dream was to become a biologist once he got older. His dream was cut short however due to the bombs. With nothing but him and his pet scorpion for companionship, Kabuto went about trying to travel the world and survive.

People who got in his way whether they were 'normal' or infected weren't spared. Even in an apocalyptic wasteland, Kaz had no time to deal with bigots and 'real' monsters who'd treat him differently due to his mutations. If one looks at a certain street in Tokyo, Japan, they'd see the road is littered with corpses with massive puncture wounds in their guts and necks and their corpses bloated and chunks torn out of them. But it wasn't the doing of any infected but Kaz and his scorpion-like tail.

Along the way, Kaz came across two other people he'd started calling 'muties' and noticed that they had insect like traits as well. One could make the cricket 'noise' with his mouth and had powerful legs similar to how some crickets jumped around from place to place. The younger boy, a half American-Half Japanese teen had sprouted beautiful looking butterfly wings that allowed him to take to the sky and survey people that he could possibly help. Feeling warmth and comfort that he wouldn't be judged for his deformities here, Kaz used his tail to carve a message into the concrete. His name was now 'Kabuto' and these two would be a part of his gang.

Struggling to understand Kabuto through his spitting and gurgling, the youths identified themselves as Juno and Free respectively and agreed to join up with Kabuto. The travels they went through were numerous, raiding various survivor camps and taking what they needed though making sure to leave little to no casualties if they could help it. Free was a kind soul after all and Kabuto didn't want to expose him to such graphic violence. Things seemed like they could only go up from here until 'Joe' arrived.

He was a tall American in a fancy suit armed with a variety of baseball bats, some wooden, some steel, some aluminum, some were even plastic. Having moved to Japan years prior in order to escape the life of boredom he felt he'd gotten himself stuck in back home, Joe explained to the three boys that while he didn't exactly have a useful mutation for combat. He could 'decipher' things and serve as Kabuto's defacto translator. Accepting him into the fold, the boys and Joe hopped onto a boat and headed for America to see how the world's 'better half' was doing.'

<- Kaz/Kabuto's song.

name: 'Joe.'(Real name known only to him. Anybody else who knows it is likely either dead or infected.)
age: 32
race/species: Human mutate
gender: Male
sexuality: bi-sexual
allegiance: muscle/translator for Kabuto's gang

appearance: If you want a mental picture of Joe, think of Leonardo DiCaprio from Wolf on Wall Street. Or Al Capone from Boardwalk Empire.

personality: Joe tends to keep his opinions short and concise and prefers to act rather than talk. Something that got him very far when he was still in the New York Italian mob.Using his power to practically seal the fate of other mobsters who were lying to save their own skin or speaking in foreign languages as a way to deter their harassers, Joe's power let him see through it all and he whacked them. If you were to ask Joe if he regretted any of it, he'd tell you 'No.' with a straight face. That being said he values loyalty above all else and although being the oldest of the gang would seemingly dictate him to be the leader, he respects Kabuto's authority and doesn't eff around when translating for him. That being said, he also doesn't mince words with Kabuto and questions his decisions when Juno and Free might be too afraid to do so.

Joe doesn't personally care if he survives the apocalypse or not. But he just wants to be of use to someone and Kabuto fills that need.
- strengths: Loyal to the bitter end, speaks up when he needs to, his power is useful in diplomacy
- weaknesses: Weakest member of his gang, often has to rely on Kabuto or Juno when stronger enemies show up.
- likes: Being of use to Kabuto, looking after Free, polishing his baseball bats.
- dislikes: Being questioned on his past, what his 'true' name is, people who play baseball and don't respect the sport
- fears: Losing his voice and thus losing his only 'use' as he sees it to Kabuto and the world at large.

powers?: His power is to decipher any form of speech and garner the meaning behind it. So, for example, Kabuto's words might sound like gibberish to anyone else. But to Joe, the words come out clearly to his ears and for the most part he acts as Kabuto's translator. This power also extends to codes that enemies might make in battle. What might be a carefully concocted phrase of commands will become crystal clear to 'Joe.' and he will act against it. Unlike the other members of the gang who possesses superhuman strength, Joe is severely lacking in that regard. Which is why in lieu of being strong enough to punch through a brick wall, Joe carries a tommy gun and a variety of baseball bats owing to his American roots unlike the rest of the gang being strictly Japanese. The power to also give a better example would make on the fly planning difficult

'X do a grape finale!'

Joe's mind deduces what the heck a grape finale is and that it's an attack from behind with grenades thrown in a mass flurry. Joe also left America to go to Japan and met Free/Juno/Kabuto there and was accepted into the gang despite not being as strong and his power's not super suited for combat. Kabuto really respects him and is glad to have somebody around that can translate for him since Kabuto assumes people think he's stupid because he's drooling all the time and spitting when he tries to talk.

history: 'Joe' doesn't talk much about his past and tries to shut down almost any and all conversations about his past if he can help it. Given his inclination towards baseball bats, Juno and Free have assumed that 'Joe' was a baseball player perhaps working on his way before going professional once he saw that his power wasn't of much use in baseball. Or something tragic might have happened, Joe isn't exactly coughing up details. What is known is that he served as an enforcer for the mob. Using his power to tell whether or not a member meant what they were saying(if they spoke in code for example or something that only they and another person would get, Joe could 'decipher' it and proceed to kill them if the order was given.)

Free theorizes that the reason he goes only by 'Joe' is because he was placed in witness protection after ratting out on his men but he's made sure to keep this to himself. Joe values his loyalty to Kabuto and would be furious at the suggestion that he'd ever been disloyal in his life. Whatever his reasons for leaving the mafia might have been, they were his alone and not to do with his superiors. Somedays he still misses them but he doesn't reign back on his aid for Kabuto and looks after Free as he's the youngest of the group.

allegiance Happily apart of Kabuto's gang
appearance: Blonde hair that he inherited from his mother, bright blue eyes that turn black with bright purple irises when he gets mad. He wears a baggy hoodie that's two sizes too big for him that Kabuto stole for him.

personality: Free unlike Kabuto and 'Joe' didn't struggle at all with his power. He embraced it as a matter of fact and perhaps it's this reason that Kabuto takes special care of Free in contrast to Joe or Juno. Free was forced to grow up as a result of the disaster but he's never been onboard with the more cruel methods Kabuto and Joe enforce on people who cross their paths. This is more of a childhood 'hero' mentality that he never quite grow out of. It's only gotten worse during the apocalypse with Kabuto often having to gently scold him that they can't save everyone. On the positive side of things, Free was the only person who could understand Joe at first since his mother was American/until Joe revealed he could speak Japanese and gradually taught it to Kabuto and Juno. If you want to talk to someone in the group, talk to him.
- strengths: Loyal until his dying breath to Kabuto and his beliefs, kind hearted, willing to make friends.
- weaknesses: Kind to a fault, niceness has gotten him and the gang in trouble, not a very physically oriented fighter.
- likes: Kabuto, Joe, Juno, meeting new people
- dislikes: Fighting, cursing, being screamed at as he's very sensitive.
- fears: Having to kill somebody to protect the others, losing any of the gang but especially Kabuto.

powers?: He's super strong but his powers don't stop there. Thanks to a series of butterfly like wings, Free has been granted the gift of flight and he can also spit 'acidic' nectar at foes. If his wings are damaged they will heal but doing so drains Free's energy and often leaves him too tired to continue a fight. Facelaim or mental image for him would have to be Max from Maximum Ride. Only with butterfly wings instead of bird/angel wings.

history: Free was born as Minato Aburame and was known in his neighborhood for being a very polite boy even in his early childhood. This was because as a child, Free had it instilled into him that to get anywhere in the world? You must show others respect as you would want done onto you. If you didn't then you'd end up with no friends and thus no prospects for success. When the bombs hit, Free was left a crying and secluded mess. Even his newly gained butterfly wings couldn't cheer him up. That was of course until he ran into Juno. The older male explained that he thought it was cool that Free took after a butterfly and Juno took after a cricket. Thus the two of them gave eachother nicknames

Minato would become 'Free' and Kazumi would become 'Juno' because it sounded foreign and 'cute' and the latter was what mattered most to Free. After meeting Kabuto, Free quickly agreed to working under Kabuto and being the gang's 'eye in the sky' But above all Free was happy to belong again, to have a group to call his own.

<-Free's theme

Name: Juno( Kazumi Tanaka)
age:18
race/species: Human with insect like mutations
gender: Male
sexuality: Gay
allegiance: He's a part of Kabuto's gang but butts heads often with him.
appearance: He's the second tallest of the gang standing 5'10 to Joe's 6'4 with short black hair, bright brown eyes, a Japanese baseball team shirt and pants.

personality: Juno is a very energetic soul and isn't at all afraid of Kabuto's mutations and speaks his mind whenever he feels so inclined contrasting with Joe who only speaks when he needs to and Free who doesn't like causing a fuss. Believing that his mutations would let him put up a good fight against Kabuto if he had to, he isn't afraid or hesitant to speak his mind. But at the end of the day Kabuto is leader of the gang and Juno respects that.
- strengths: Energetic, ready to fight at a moment's notice, quick
- weaknesses: Not very bright, prone to arguments over the slightest detail.
- likes: Fighting, running, fighting, Joe(he thinks Joe is a 'man of mystery')
- dislikes: Kabuto when he disagrees with his plans, idiots, dumb statements, standing around
- fears: Having his legs ripped off

powers?:Juno(his real name is Kazumi Tanaka) can naturally make the 'stock cricket noise' with his mouth rather than with his legs like normal crickets do. That being said however, while Free is the flier of the group, Juno is the ground ranged member as he uses his powerful legs to hop high into the air and his legs have incredible muscular fibers in them as well. Allowing him to kill a normal person by jumping down on their chest with enough force or kicking down a wall with his foot. This being said, his arms aren't as strong as his legs and even Joe'(a vanilla human even with his powers) could defeat Juno in an armwrestling match whereas the same could not be said he challenged Free or Kabuto

history: Juno was a bit of a delinquent growing up but not to the degree of Joe. Although he got in fights more often than not, Juno still managed to keep up with his studies and was even on his school's baseball team for a while. Leading to why he highly respects Joe's fighting style even if it's not as strong as the others. Although he rarely lets it show on the outside, Juno misses his former teammates and coach who were killed or devoured by the Infected.

Wearing his uniform as a sign of respect, Juno fought anybody who was willing with his new mutation. He felt it was a shame that it wasn't his arms that had been boosted but he could take one jump and clear all three bases with these muscular legs! He even sparred with Kabuto for a bit before deciding that the scorpion man had earned his respect. Juno, Free, Joe, and Kabuto have sailed to America to perhaps try and find a new life here or see if things had only gotten worse on the other side of the Pacific.

They would be classified as a supernatural race -- elementals are strictly human ^^

Real quick question. I wanted my character to be an elemental who also grew wings. Would it be better for her to be supernatural or could the flash have caused physical mutations as well

Hmm... I'll allow her to be an elemental so long as she was born a human and is essentially still a human, just with elemental powers. So long as she can only fly with her wings and not draw power from them, if that makes sense??

Yeah that's what I meant. I was going to have her have like air elemental powers but not drawn from her wings.

appearance
Shock white hair wildly frames a porcelain face, twisting to lay just below his ears in some places and sticking up like dove feathers in others. A sharp jawline establishes a delicate face, his ivory colored skin devoid of any facial hair. A small angular nose matches a pair of thin lips, followed by large eyes engulfed in a bundle of white eyelashes. Light red eyes flit around like a hummingbird, all of his coloration making him seem borderline albino. Long legs carry him to a height of six foot, thin and wiry just like the legs of a stork. Broad shoulders go down to meet a firm chest and stomach, long attuned to the aliments of the heat of his world. Every so often black runes snake up from his skin, almost as if he is a cracked porcelain doll. The marks mean little to anyone but him, but most people know that when they see them they are not seeing the real Camus but instead the "human" Camus. The real Camus looks similar, but still obviously much different.

The real Camus is much more fearsome, even if he himself finds himself to look more normal than any regular human. His teeth and ears become pointed, more akin to a bat than any other person. His red eyes become pupiless, and his height grows an extra half foot. Tall dull red horns sprout from just above his ears, sticking up straight into the air that only adds to is already massive height. His white skin turns a more sickly, ashen color and the veins that pump throughout his body seem to glow in places that have the most blood. The long legs of a human turn into a more angular, beast like shape that have padded feet and large claws. Spike like appendages grow from his forearms and neck, giving him a regal appearance despite being so beastly. Everything wraps up quite nicely as a long tail flicks around his body, a small tuft of dark hair spinning around him as he thinks.

inside
Despite being a typical monster people tell their kids about to make them behave, Camus is a relatively calm and collected kind of guy. While he does wear his heart on his sleeve, rarely does he get angry or even mildly upset with people. Only when people refuse to listen or do stupid things for no reason does he get upset, and even then it had to be really stupid. A bit clingy, Cam isn't really aware of what a person's "personal space" really entails. He loves to walk with his arms linked with people, or even just to hold their hand. Not that he sees any of this as romantic, he's just an overly touchy and friendly guy. He does typically know when to leave people alone, however, as he's not going to try to hold on to anyone who clearly is in the wrong mood. All he really wants to do is care for others, for them to know he is there for them no matter what. With that comes a loyalty he isn't afraid to give out, even if sometimes it isn't in his best interest. Cam can be extremely sensitive, even if he doesn't let others know about it. He's all about people coming to him with his problems, but rarely does he seek advice on what he himself should do. A mere "don't touch me" can ruin his whole mood, even though he knows rationally it shouldn't. He's pretty easy to read, though, so people usually pick up on when he's sad.

strengths
✓ calming presence - camus is an old soul that brings a sense of calm to those around him. since he never seems to get upset or angry at people, it is easy to feel the wave of calmness that seems to come with him. camus usually only needs to walk up or say a few words to defuse a tense situation, which can be extremely valuable with his title of advisor.
✓ speed - while camus doesn't typically take his tiefling form, when he does he because much faster. his lithe limbs and padded feet seem to cut through the air with ease, making it easy for him to make hasty get-aways or run ahead of the group to make sure everything it okay. he doesn't really like to do it, but he will if Kristian or the group thinks he should.
✓ caring - camus without a doubt cares for the lives of those around him, and would stop anything he's doing to lend a hand or listening ear. he finds that most people rather escape inside themselves than let what is inside out, but he wants it to be known that he'll stop to help anyone that says they're in need of help.

weaknesses
✗ coldness - camus has had little to no experience in his home-world with just how exactly cold it can get here. his thin body was made for heat and fire, not for snow or ice. when it gets too cold he can start to shiver uncontrollably, which only leads to him forcefully reverting to his tiefling form. his tiefling form can better handle harsh climates, but he still was not made for the cold.
✗ self preservation - the man has little thoughts about his own death and demise, but rather plans to stay alive so that he can better help the group. it isn't hard to convince him to scout or fight more than he would like, as long as someone tells him it will help others out in the long run. if he dies his only reluctance will be about leaving everyone on their own, not about no longer being with them.
✗ fighting - yes, he has claws and horns but camus is not a fighter. he was not trained to take on anything other than a few practice dummies, and even then he wasn't that great at not getting hit himself. he is built for fleeing, for being light on his feet and taking a few slashes in if he sees the chance, not for full-out brawls were his thin form will do little more than annoy his opponent.

likes
✓ blue - a color that was incredibly rare in his world, and seems to still be pretty rare in this know desolate world. blue skies and lapping waters is something he'd love to see one day, to be surrounded in the peaceful blue that was once this world.
✓ plants - flowers, trees, and vines are all beautiful in his mind. each one made up of the same core being but each very different. the most lovely flower can be the most deadly, and the most mundane plant hold secret medicinal attributes. it's something he would love to sit and study most days, but a lass there is never the time
✓ honesty - nothing can progress if no one is honesty with each other, because then everything just turns into a game of cat and mouse. there is no point in lying when death could stalk around the corner at any time, as it's best to die a honest and good man than it is to die a lair and a thief.

dislikes
✗ most animals - animals are unpredictable and therefore are something he doesn't want to be around. plus, they're usually just another mouth to feed when they're already at their limit. sure, animals have their uses, but mainly for food. no point dragging around a house-pet when you know you can't control it, and control is a key issue these days.
✗ stupidity - it's one thing to be ignorant on a certain subject, to be stupid about is another thing all together. people who think they are right know matter what and those who run into a situation without thinking about it clearly are some who irk him the most. it isn't that hard to stop and think about a situation, but some people act as if they'd rather die than think sometimes.
✗ eating - yes, eating is a necessity and it gives your body energy, but the food on this world is not what he's used to. his people usually ate Jal (think a misty thing they suck into their bodies) and here it's an actual process. meat is good, but hard to come by, so he usually just gives his share to other people.

fears
✗ becoming useless - there is little camus has ever striven for, and earning his worth as certainly been one of them. he wants to be someone others can depend on, call to if they need help, lean on when they're down. he cannot be the one to become dead weight, to only be in existence because death chose to spare him for a little while longer.
✗ pain - torture, being eaten by an animal while still alive, bleeding out after dropping from a great fall... these are all ways camus cannot stand to go out, as he has little dealings with pain in the past. he's not sure how he would like to go out, but he knows a painful death is not on his list.
✗ living in this loop - he's not sure he really wants to go home, but he knows for certain he doesn't want to live in this world forever. he'd love to live in the this world before the flash, but he's not sure that will ever happen. not everyone gets what they want however, and this seems like a pretty big favor to ask.

history
The underworld, hell, whatever you want to call it was home for Camus before being brought to this dimension. It was a world filled with fire and magic, where demons lurked around corners and giant winged creatures flew through the air. The world wasn't bad, however, no actually Camus found it to be quite nice. He was born to two parents, trained like any young male did in the art of survival and fighting, and lived a typically normal life for his kind. He wasn't good at fighting per se, but at least he got fed. He lived a simple life where he followed the rules of his kind, obeying the laws doing just enough to make a name for himself. There was no real gain to be had by fighting in arenas for coin, no, the real gain came from being a smooth-talker. It's not hard to get good at telling people they look nice or that so-and-so said something bad about them this morning, in fact he even started getting paid for it after awhile. But a life where your only skill is telling people lies isn't that rewarding, so maybe it was a blessing in disguise that Cam doesn't live in his world anymore.

It's hard to remember what he was doing before it happened, all he remembers is a blinding white light that encased everything that he saw. Then came a feeling of falling, an almost endless sensation of tripping down a rabbit hole. He wasn't sure how much time passed, but suddenly he was looking up at an unlit sky. A broken land laid before his red eyes, and many questions came to his mind. The world didn't seem all that different from his own in some ways, but in others it was like he was having a dream. There was no warm, constant-burning fire that illuminated the land, nor a constant stream of different tieflings and their pets. No, this world seemed... empty. It was almost sad as he stood and began to walk the land, his nailed feet kicking over discarded plants and rocks.

Not long afterwards he found a few people, but they ran away in terror at his horned figure. The looked like shorter, less pointy tieflings, so he figured they couldn't be too bad. Again he found more, but again they ran away. Figuring they'd never seen anything like him, he decided to change his form to match their's the best he could. The next time he found someone they spoke with him, a man who called himself Kristian. The two of them decided to stick together, searching for answers and others who might be in need of help. Well, Cam looks for people in need, Kris is always a bit more skeptical than Camus is. But the two have had each other's backs for over two years now, and Cam doesn't plan on that changing any time soon. Even if Kris is ice and Cam is fire, the two blend together in ways Cam isn't sure he would have ever been able to find in his own world.

powers
Camus has some pretty mundane powers, when you really stop and think about it. His tiefling form gives him inhuman speed and pointy bits, but anyone from his world had access to these things. Sure, sharp teeth and claws are helpful, but is it really a power if he was born with it. The only real power he feels like he has is his ability to change forms, but even that is fleeting. It doesn't take up any "juice" per se, but it does fade when the black runes that cover his skin start to fade. Each morning he spends about an hour reapplying his marks, just so he can appear a bit more normal in this world. Of course, he can diminish them at any time, it just always takes more time to reapply them so that he can look more like his fellow family members. He's also pretty much immune to all types of fire, but again he doesn't really see that as a real power but more as just something he's always been able to do.

name: Caseylin Sagebrook
age: 50
race/species: elf
gender: female
sexuality: straight
allegiance (Kristian's group [if yes, what rank?] or loner?): loner, but will join a group

appearance: She stands at 5'4" tall, black hair, blue eyes and usually wearing white and silver.

personality: She is kind and gentle, a healer and not a fighter.

- strengths
Compassionate: She is concerned for the well-being of others, making sure they are healthy when she can. Sometimes this can be a weakness as she hates to see anyone die or be harmed.
Energetic: She has a lot of stamina (at least compared to humans)
Loyal: When she gives her loyalty to someone, she stays loyal to them, doing what she can to keep them alive and well.

- weaknesses
Compassionate: see above
impulsive: Since she is attuned to her instincts, they sometimes take over and make her act without thinking things through. She does try not to do that often, but it is a work in progress.
Shy: She is often shy, not going to meet new people unless they come to her. This sometimes makes her seem stand-offish.

- likes
healing those who are hurt, watching the stars (of her homeworld), walking, dancing, swimming.
- dislikes
not knowing what is going on, being hurt, death around her, this strange world
- fears
death, public speaking, close places (Claustrophobia ) and caves
powers?: Healing
history: She had what was to her people a normal childhood for the most part, growing up and learning from her family and community. Playing and dancing and singing with them as she learned to hone her craft, healing. On one occasion as a child she went into a cave to get a bit of moss for a potion only to get lost inside for several days. This caused her fear of close spaces and caves since she does not ever want a repeat of that situation.

The day the light flashed for her was the day they celebrated her birthday, the bright light she thought at first was some party trick, though when she could see again it was in this dark and foreboding world she found herself on now. She was here, alone and uncertain. She stayed in one place as long as she could, keeping the plants around her healthy enough to give her food though the infected came through soon enough, making her run away. She has been wandering ever since, looking for a way home.

@Ioun and @Starrnico -- both of your forms look great!!

I'm hoping that we can get a medic and at least one Able Body on board before the RP thread gets up and running, but if that takes a bit too long to occur, then I'll start it anyhow. Just giving others a chance for a little bit. c:

Caseylin is alone right now, but is willing to join a group if she meets one, as a medic ;)

I'm slowly working on a medic. She should be up in the next few days, would be sooner, but also learning to make div boxes so it'll be pretty. XD

Sounds like you might need a werewolf enforcer in here. :P

Ginny Blackvale

Ginny, a small fragile creature known to many as a fairy, is aged eighteen years. She has been a part of Kristian's group for around one year, acting as a medic through use of her magic. In her time as part of the group, she has not been known to show any sexual interest in others, though she is rather friendly.

Appearance

Being a fairy, she is small, standing at a height of roughly five inches, three inches shorter than the average water bottle. Her overall frame, taking into account her size, would be considered an hourglass figure, and(again taking into account her size) she is rather well endowed in the breast department.
Her fashion consists of simple clothing made from spider's silk(the non-sticky kind of course). Her outfit covers the area's that need to be covered, without hampering her ability to move and/or flutter.
While not something in direct relation to her appearance, one might notice that she always has a nice 'flowery' scent to her, this is due to the face that she sleeps in a flower, and not because of a perfume(the tiniest of puffs would probably suffocate her after all).

Personality

Ginny is the friendly sort of fairy, perhaps too much so, trusting most everyone she meets, and being just a tad bit too gullible. She has been known on occasion to even try to be friendly towards infected, referring to them as 'leaking puppies', though nobody is quiet sure how, or why, she believes them to be dogs. Not the brightest individual, she makes up for her lack of common sense with compassion, caring for most individuals, even those who might mean her harm. Still, a jar should be kept on hand, because she seems to think murderous monsters are 'puppies'.

-strengths-

Compassionate
Friendly
Cheerful

-weaknesses-

Gullible
Friendly(a double-edged sword, in Ginny's case at least)
Fragile

-likes-

Flowers
People
Dogs
Cats
Plushies(and, to make this list shorter: all things 'cute')

-dislikes-

Mud(dirt is fine, mud is not)
Smelly things
Fire
Rudeness(though, she's quick to forgive)

-fears-

Carnivorous bugs such as spiders. (Really though, you can't blame her, she looks like a snack to them)

Powers

Flight - Her small stature means that even while running her fastest, she can't keep up with the average human's walking speed, her wings compensate this. She can flutter about at varying speeds, from a slow hover, to moving slightly faster than a human could run.(though, not much faster)
Magic - Being a magical creature, she is attuned to magic, being able to cast minor 'light' spells. Her magic is primarily used in the art of healing the wounded, and not in battle of any form.(unless of course, it's a healing battle, she might be able to win that)
Glow - One might not notice in broad daylight, but come night(or the entrance of a dark room), they would surely see that Ginny glows. While her whole body technically glows, her wings do so brighter, and this increases when she's flying, and can make her seem like a ball of light. While not bright enough to blind someone(or something, no judgments) she does make a good nightlight(or if placed in a jar, a lantern though expect a fuss).

History

Do you believe in fairies? After the Great Flash you might say that's a stupid question, but seeing is not believing. Fairies, Fae, the fair folk, whatever you wish to call them have been a part of our world for centuries. Not physically, no, but through myths, legends, and stories, and as you might be well aware, every myth and legend is based at least partially in truth. For fairies, they have been perceived in many ways, perhaps the most notable being 'Tinkerbell' from stories of Neverland. This land, the one you call 'Neverland', well, it actually exists. Though, it's denizens of course have their own name for it, and the part about never aging is something you humans invented. The first story came when a human had a dream of fairies, in a land of magic. Of course, he interpreted it as inspiration, never realizing his subconscious had actually traveled to another world. But, alas, that is unimportant, for you probably don't care about fairy history as a whole, wanting to simply know about Ginny. So, here we go:

Ginny was born in a great tree. No, she wasn't born magically because a child laughed, she was born the same way you humans are, the great tree served much the same purpose as your hospitals, though with more magic and less technology. From the moment she breathed in her first gasp of air, her two loving parents doted on her, you might say she was spoiled, but really every fairy child was treated this way. On her fifth birthday, she went to school, Fairy school was much more interesting than human school, as the fairies learned magic at it's base, and even advanced levels. Ginny never really grasped magic as a whole, being unable to conjure fire, move the wind, summon the rains, or any of the things that came naturally to most fairies. She did however excel at the magics involving healing, and eventually became a well known healer to her fairy village, despite her young age.

Then, two years ago, the Great Flash happened. At the time, she was healing a fellow fairy's injured wing. The feeling of being ripped from your world is a hard one to describe, but the worst part for Ginny was not knowing what happened to the rest of her village, or to the fairy she was healing. Her worries quickly subsided, when she saw a human, but this one was different than the ones she knew, this one had strange colored threads coming out of his ears, connected to a magic box. Upon investigation, she was nearly squished, though she forgave the assailant and tried to greet him again, to the same effect! Since when did humans get so violent? They usually bestowed gifts upon fairies, very few tried to murder them. Surely this particular human was just in a bad mood, so she sought out others, getting mostly the same reaction.

Fast forward a year, she had not given up hope on meeting a non-murderous human, she had in her travels across this new world met many other non-human creatures, some of which were friendly, others that tried to eat her. Mostly the leaking puppies that tried to do the eating, but she also believed she would meet a nice one of those as well. A fairy can dream can't she? Anywho, it was after a year on this new world that Ginny met Kristian, and those that traveled with him. For a while, she integrated herself into the group without notice, one thing she had learned was most humans swatted at small flying things when they neared. She went unnoticed for about a week. A great feat for a glowing creature. When she was discovered, she proved herself useful with her healing talents, and has since, been part of the group.

I can't say no to a werewolf :D

OXj7WFA.png

Name: Silver Ellesse

Age: 26

Race/Species: Metal Elemental

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Bisexual

Allegiance:
Kristian's Group / Able Body

Personality:

Silver is an interesting person to be around, and is often hard to read at times. Her life before joining Kristian's group made her very wary of everyone around her, and as such she can often be quite standoff-ish. She believes that being a member of Kristian's group is whats best for her survival, and trusts his and Camus' leadership. However in the back of her mind she fears that one day she will be alone and on her own again. In order to deal with her inner demons, Silver trains constantly during her off time, and is always willing and ready for a fight.

Strengths:

-Quick Thinker: In a pinch, Silver is able to remain calm and think clearly. This is due to her past training and her devotion to combat.

-Combat Ready: Silver isn't afraid of a fight, and often welcomes it. Being that all she does is train, her hand to hand skills are top notch, and she is skilled in using her abilities together to overwhelm her opponent.

-Escape Artist
: Silver is smart, and as such is able to realize when she is overwhelmed. As this has happened more than once, she is more than capable of escaping a dangerous situation.

Weaknesses:

-Solo Player: Despite being with Kristian's group, Silver still struggles working with others in the heat of combat. She is used to working alone, and as such doesnt do well with others in a tight situation.

-1v1: Silver's abilities often involve her enhancing herself so that she can deal damage up close. Unfortunately because her abilities don't have any sort of range she can easily be overwhelmed in situations with multiple opponents.

Likes:

Silver likes training and exercise. She doesn't care for much else, although reading is a secret guilty pleasure of hers. Whenever she goes out on expeditions, she often looks around for books, hoping to add a new story to her collection.

Dislikes:

Silver dislikes social interaction, for the most part. While she tries to make the effort to be a part of the group, she finds that she often feels out of place and uncomfortable. This often leads to her heading back to her corner of solitude.

Fears:

Silver's greatest fear is death. She is incredibly afraid of it, and as such her actions before joining this group would always align with whatever ensured her greatest chance of survival. As such, she has made many bad decisions in her past. These decisions haunt her every day, and she hates herself for it.

Powers:

Silver's elemental abilities aren't like natural elements. She has the power to transform metal to suit her purposes, often using them to enhance herself. In combat, she often encases her skin into an impenetrable metal shell, allowing her to take minimal damage while charging headfirst into damage.

History:

Silver's life has never been anything special or noteworthy. She grew up on the streets as an orphan, and struggled each and every day of her life. As a teenager into adulthood, she lived in a homeless shelter, and for a time found happiness in the simplicity of a bed and a warm meal.

When the Great Flash occurred, Silver's life was flipped on its head. Her memories are hazy of the exact details, but she remembers she had to fight her way out of the shelter, surrounded by death and infected. The few friends she had were gone or dead, and the images of the lifeless bodies that piled up that day are forever scarred in her mind.

For quite awhile after that, Silver was on her own. She stole what she could, and fought when she had to. The strong survive, she told herself over and over. This was her mantra, and she survived on it. She was always moving; always ready to fight for her life. Her life was like this for endless days until meeting Kristian and joining his group.

@Huntress -- looks good!! I highly recommend you join our discord server for OOC, Q & A, relationship (romantic and platonic) plotting, etc.!

Okay! Now that we have enough to get started, I'll get the roleplay up sometime by this weekend!!
