Nybras was born and raised a human girl, just as normal as any other. But as she grew older, her family introduced her to their "religion" and integrated her into their cult and its ways. She, at first, wasn't so against it, but as she learned of it's inhumane ceremonies and rituals, she became more disgusted by it. Her brother experienced the same things, but at a quicker rate as he was the eldest of the three. She did have a younger sister, but she died in her early years of life from an unidentified illness, with an unknown cause. Once Nybras reached the age of sixteen, she was told by her parents that she was needed for something special and important at midnight, something that would be of great use and vitality to their cult. The same applied to her older brother. Of course, both were against this, but they were in no position to go against their mother and father, so they had little choice but to do as they were told. Upon arriving to the ceremonial ritual chamber beneath the church where the cult resided by day, she and her brother discovered that they were being sacrificed by their parents and their fellow cult members, in a demonic ritual. They were going to use their own two children to try and summon a powerful demon to obey their every whim. But this didn't go as planned. The two children were restrained and bound two a set of stone tables, a jagged blade used to cut into both children's right arm, a hot branding iron previously used to burn a symbol of the cult into their skin. As the ritual was completed, the entire chamber went dark, the candles on the wall dimmed and flickered. It seemed the ritual had been successful, but not in the way that was desired by the cult. The church floors ran red with blood that night, and only the two children remained, each one lightheaded and faint from loss of blood and shock from immense pain. The demon saw some osrt of potential or another in these two children, and infused itself into them both, splitting itself apart into two different sets of traits. And while they were no longer humans, they still retained some of their humanity, but they were forever cast out of life in the human presence...
