Eku stumbled back in terror, obviously not picking up the humour in the sentence. He gripped his knife handle, ready to rip it out and fight his way out. Still unsure, he relaxed as Thun roared in laughter. He hung his head in embarrasment, and then quickly replied,
"We, the Shakra, have a new leader. I warn you, she is not primitive. One of the most intelligent people I have met." He scratched his head, and opened his mouth to speak, interrupted as the blonde courier skidded over to where they were. Eku tilted his head in curiousity at his blonde hair.
---
"What do you have to tell me that is so important as to call a meeting with me?" Syla asked coldly, her bright green eyes digging fear into the messenger's eyes. The messenger gulped, and shakily replied.
"A f-few others, and me, were searching for people in the forests, like you a-asked -"
"Get on with it!" Syla snapped back, a dark cloud of tiredness swarming around her. The messenger nearly fainted in fright.
"R-r-ruins. We f-found ruins." The messenger said, struggling to control himself. Syla was silent, gears churning in her brain.
"I am sorry Thräk. Thank you for this vital information. You are dismissed," the Lahk said with a sigh. She stood still until the messenger left the building, then pressing her face into her hands. "You need to sleep," Perqu's soft voice echoed in the silence. "I will look after Omksa while you are asleep. Go. Now," he resolved. Normally, Syla would snap back, but she went willingly, walking to her house, then falling into a deep sleep
