Name: Aurelia Celeste Tryahael
Nickname(s): Ari, Goldie
Age: 112 yrs (since elves live longer)
Gender: Female
Sexuality: Pansexual

Personality: I'll let it this develop through the plot if that's fine!

Appearance: Aurelia has faint emerald eyes, almost transparent when they're in the light. Her hair is a light golden color, that reached just past her shoulders in loose waves. Her expression is usually calm and solemn, but can sometimes slip into that of a child-like wonder. Her ears are usually covered by intricate armor, as well as the rest of her body. She wears a hood when going out.

Aurelia leaned back, slumping in the saddle as she let the reins go slack in her hand. She rolled her neck, a few pops accompanying the motion. She stretched her arms above her head before returning to her original position. The soft padding of hooves on the fore floor, the buzz of the soldiers muttering amongst themselves, and the song of birds filled her ears. They had been traveling for about a day and a half, and by now, the evening glow stretched across the horizon. Judging by the map, they should be right on top of the town, so they would have to quickly retrieve the artifact and set up camp. She pushed her hair out of her face, grinding her teeth as she thought. The queen hadn't really told her much about this expedition, not to mention she was acting weird the day that she announced her decision to begin the quest.

Aurelia tucked a long strand of hair behind her ear and scanned the forest, humming a bit to herself. "Captain?" A voice broke through her thoughts, soft and hesitant. Her sharp eyes slid to the knight beside her, mounted on a deep brown stallion. Ranier. He was a tall fellow, dark hair and eyes, with a gentle demeanor. She replied with only a nod, a subtle cue to urge him to continue. He gestured to the break in the trees ahead, branching out into a clearing. "It's up ahead," He informed. She could only assume that he was either stupid, or thought that she had been spacing out. Probably both were true. She could obviously see the worn buildings ahead, only barely lit as the sun disappeared behind the trees. She let out a soft sigh, straightening her back as they grew close and readjusting her hood, pulling it down further to cast a shadow across her face.

They decided to set up camp just outside the town, under the canopy of the trees above, safely tucked away in the undergrowth. She left three men to tend to the camp, start the fire, make the food, but took the rest to explore the town and search for the precious human artifact. On horseback, they rode in by twos, Aurelia and her second in command, Ruith at the front. It seemed rather peaceful at first glance, an abandoned town occupied now only by the vast flora and fauna, but they held their guard up nonetheless. "We'll split up," She called out, her voice echoing through the words. "Dolorem and Levi to the east side, Rainer, Maeve and Aelith to the west," She ordered, turning her head to speak over her shoulder. The telltale sold thudding of hooves confirmed that they had done as she had told. All that was left was her and Ruith.

"What are we hoping to find?" Ruith's smooth, collected voice questioned. Aurelia bit her lip, gaze cast downwards as she tried to muster up an answer. In truth, she didn't actually know. It had been such a vague premise for an expedition that she wasn't sure what they were looking for. "You'll know when you see it." Was all she replied. That was what she was told, and she didn't have a more specific answer to her Second's question. They travelled a while on horseback before she let out a frustrated sigh. "We'll continue on foot, search the houses as well," She snapped, swiftly dismounting her horse. Her cloak fluttered around her with the motion, settling as she finally dropped to the ground. She slipped the horses reins off it's neck and hastily tied it to the rotting support pillar of a nearby house. It wouldn't hold if the horse really wanted to get away, but she was certain that Geralt, her horse, wouldn't try that.

Ruith branched off to search inside the houses, and Aurelia continued, eyes scanning the area. She was frustrated, but what could she have expected? For the artifact to just be lying in the open, all signs pointed to it? It just would've been helpful to know what she was looking for in the first place. As soon as she rounded the corner of a ruined house, she came to screeching stop, eyes focusing on a distant mound of rubble. The light hit it just right, illuminating the pile with a soft glow. She promptly drew her sword, holding it tightly to her side as she cautiously approached. It seemed to be... A person? Not an orc, judging by the size, not a fae, not a dwarf... But what in the world was an elf doing out this far? This section of the forest wasn't necessarily forbidden, but it certainly wasn't recommended for travelers. With light feet, she drew near, lifting her head slightly to try and observe them. The didn't appear to have any weapons, nor were there people around waiting for an ambush, so... Why? Why was an elf so carelessly alone in a forest like this?

She used her free hand to slowly reach down and roll the elf over, immediately recoiling once she did so that she was ready for him to strike. But... He did no such thing. Still knocked out cold. She let out a sigh of relief. "Ruith," She called out, rather loudly. This caused the elf on the rubble to stir, so she quickly jumped back, gripping the hilt of her sword tighter. Her breath hitched in her throat, brows furrowing as she inspected the elf. Or... Not an elf? And elf with rounded ears? Now that she thought about it, that color of hair wasn't exactly common among her people, but... No, it couldn't be. Not after so many years. "Ruith!" She called out, this time more frantically. A million thoughts were whirling through her mind, but one stuck out from the others. Don't let anyone know. It would be dangerous, even for her own knights, to know of this, if this was truly a human as she thought. She quickly sheathed her sword and pulled the scarf from her neck. She wrapped it around the humans head, concealing his ears. Was this the artifact? No, certainly the queen couldn't have known about this.

The poor thing looked rather rough, starved and haggard. Not to mention such light clothes in the chilled weather. She pulled the cloak from her shoulders, placing it on him as a temporary blanket. She knelt next to him, staring at his face with curious eyes. She had never seen a human before. They looked pretty normal, at least on the outside. He even looked... Well, he was slightly easy on the eyes. Ruith suddenly appeared in her vision, a brow raised skeptically as he gazed at her. She cleared her throat and stood up. "He isn't awake yet. We'll take him back to camp, he'll ride with you."

While he was seemingly starved and haggard, there were some activity still left in him but it was mostly something that couldn't be explained. Nesy felt pins and needles that brought a wave of chills along with it; he was cold with nobody else to take care of him except for that woman and the other guy, Ruith. While his eyes were closed, all he could see was pure darkness and the only comfort he had were the thoughts that circulated through his mind, yet memories wandered around his skull with the thoughts of deceit, death and defeat but they faded away as soon as they appeared. A sense of emptyness began to overtake him a little bit, granted that this was just his own imagination that caused him to feel this awful feeling.

It felt like a long journey but he fell asleep because he couldn't keep up with these thoughts anymore. So he began to dream about some strange stuff, he appeared in a village in his own dream. It felt too real because he could hear, sense, smell everything about this place. There were children running across the fields in the distance, rolling on the ground and laughing. He inhaled and smelled a bunch of oders , it seemed to be cut grass with what resembled to be cooked meat, sweet beverages and so on.

A sun that beamed rose up from the horizion with a blue sky, feathery clouds above the heavens. The trees surrounding the small village swayed to the rhythm of the summer wind. The buildings built in a sloppy way and it was wooden with hay as a rooftop. What kind of world did he end up in? Was this all of a dream? However before he could process the scene further he heard a large BANG; his ears ringed after the blast as he seemingly woke up from his dream state. He opened his eyes to see what was going on around him but they weren't completly open, but he saw a glimpse of something.

Ruith complacently nodded, although the hesitance shown through on his face. He wouldn' dare to question her, but they hadn't found the artifact yet, right? Was this random elf's life so precious that Aurelia was willing to anger the queen over it? Little did he know that this elf wasn't an elf at all. Aurelia turned and made her way back to the horses while Ruith scooped the human up and followed at her heels. He tossed the human onto the horse, making no effort to make any of his actions gentle, then, he quickly untied his horse and mounted. Still, there was no bombardment of questions, or even the slightest bit of doubt. If this is what his captain had ordered, then so be it.

Aurelia swiftly pulled herself up onto her horse and set out, using her fingers to make a brief, loud whistle. "Back to camp!" She barked, a voice that was controlled and that projected, but didn't resemble a scream. If the other's had heard her, then good. If they hadn't, then they would waste their time in amble searching until nightfall. It didn't take long to reach the outskirts of the town and into the camp that was already set up. Tents were set up in all shapes and sizes, a large main one for the knights, and three smaller ones. One for the rations, one for the command, and a private sleeper quarters for the captain. The tents surrounded one large, crackling fire with a bubbling pot hanging over it. The horses were tied to the picket line in no time, and Ruith had tossed the human over his shoulder once more. Aurelia beckoned her second in command to follow, and let him to her private quarters. Ruith paused outside, his first real show of hesitance. "Captain, he'll stay in the tent with the rest of the men," He said adamantly.

Aurelia ducked her head in, pulling back one of the flaps to clear the way for Ruith. She didn't respond, letting him mull it over for a second before the sharpness in her eyes as she stared at him made him cave, and he laid the human down on her cot that was lined with lush furs. The inside of the tent was dimly lit with two warm lanterns, one attached to the support in the ceiling above, and one positioned on a nightstand. They had settled in for about a weeks worth of camping, so it was a shame that they had found what they were looking for so fast. Although, no one knew that but Aurelia. She dropped down into a chair, crossing her legs as she adjusted the cape so that it covered more of the human. "The sick should be taken care of, Ruith," She started with a chiding tone. "Now, fetch water and some food."

He nodded and emerged from the tent. Meanwhile, Aurelia was watching over the human like a hawk, her chair positioned close to his side. She leaned forward, curiously pushing the cloth that she had previously wrapped around his head, away from his ears. She sighed, sitting back as she gazed at them. An elf with rounded ears? Impossible. But a human surviving for so many years even after it was certain that they had all died out? Even more impossible. She jumped when Ruith returned with a bowl and cup in hand, instantly reaching forward to pull the fabric back down over his ear. As if on queue, the human began to stir, and with half-lidded eyes, started to look around.

For a how long time was a knocked out for? 18 days? 10 days? However, the time he was unconscious was simply uncountable. He had absolutely no idea what had been going on since his unconsciousness. Did he get eaten by a rabbit and his corps rotten or perhaps cannibals made a chair out of him. Who the hell knows? Norr even aware of the environment he was brought into or the sudden change of temperature but this was about to change. A sensation tingled around his fingers as if they were left in the cold for an extremely long time.

Nesy's dry eyes slowly opened to a blurry, but a rather unfamiliar scene. He saw an unfamiliar female figure who was beside him, a ton of questions arose. Who was she? What did she want from him? It made him feel uneasy because he didn't see the figure in full detail; afraid of the thought of being kidnapped of course. He remembered that he treaded along the forest in a desperate attempt to run away from something, who did he run from then? Nobody knows for sure. His vision readjusted to the sudden changes of the environment to an extent of seeing the woman and the man in detail. This woman with pointy ears ran to the other pointy-eared man while she covered his Nesy's ears for some reason. "Oh how cosy- Wait, what?!" His mind uttered.

He was covered in a warm cloth which was also a relief from cold temperatures if they had left him out there. At the sight of food the man held, it made his mouth water by the amazing smell of it which was a reasonable result of him being starved to almost death of course. The food seemed to be regular to everyone else but to him, it was like he was in heaven. However, the food was hard to see in the dimly lit tent because his eyes hadn't fully re-adjusted to the darkness yet. Darn it! If only if he could see what the living world was going on in there!

He felt stiff in the area of his neck so he turned it in order to crack it. "Uumphh...Shit." Then turned to the other side to do it again. "Ah...Much better- oh right the two people..." He exhaled in relief. Nesy mustered up the courage to speak to the two. He attempted to be as friendly as he possibly could, "Uuuh... H-Hello? Uhh... H-Hey." Said Nesy with a calm, collected voice. The guy was a young adult by the age of 18 of course. He now waited for Rurith and Aurelia to respond to him because they were clearly busy with something else. Now it was the point of no return as this was either catch or drop it. "Who are you guys? I don't really know any-anybody here, he-hehe..." He uttered once again.

A sudden silence stretched over both Ruith and Aurelia as the human began to spoke. They exchanged a glance for a moment, Ruith's eyes practically begging Aurelia to simply leave this whole situation alone and send the elf back to where he had come from, but the captain knew very well that she couldn't do that. She hesitated, eyes scanning over the human. "Hello," She replied in a voice as smooth as honey, which was apparently out of character for the usually astute guard, since Ruith couldn't stifle a rough laugh. She sent him a glare, which only silenced him briefly until she looked away once again. She rolled her eyes, silently reminding herself to loosen his horse's girth before they started their journey home. Hopefully, he would learn his lesson when his saddle slid out from underneath him and he fell from his horse.

She beckoned Ruith closer, and he obliged, pulling up another seat next to her. "My name is Aurelia, and he is Ruith..." She murmured, eyes scanning over the human as she waited for a reaction. "And yours...?" She asked, trailing off. It made no sense, absolutely no sense for a human to still be alive, especially one that was weakened so much after what seemed like weeks of starvation. She jumped, as if she had just realized something, and snatched the food from Ruith's hands, pushing it to Nesy. "Eat, drink, and then we can talk," She urged, glancing over his features before she stood. She brushed past Ruith, she patted his shoulder, a silent queue for him to follow. They emerged from the tent, sauntering over to the fire as they took a seat on the ground next to it.

"What's with the sudden empathy, Cap?" Ruith asked, voice light and playful, but eyes undeniably sharp. He needed an answer, but... She couldn't bring herself to tell him until she knew the whole truth. If he knew, it would put him in danger. "Say," She began, smoothly changing the topic. "Why do you think the queen's interest in human artifacts suddenly appeared? Why would she care?" She mused aloud, eyes tilted up to look at the stars, following the column of smoke upwards. "Well," Ruith shifted to lie on his back, arms behind his head as a makeshift pillow. "It must've been that she got tipped off-" "Exactly!" Aurelia interrupted, slamming a fist down onto the ground. "So who in the world would've known about such a thing?" She asked, perhaps a little too enthusiastically, only realizing how pushy she was being when she observed the puzzled expression on Ruith's face.

"Why... Do you care? You've never questioned the queen like this before? Does this have something to do with that human? Gods-- I only left you two alone for a moment, what sort of doubts did he plant in--" He cut himself as Aurelia shook her head, both of them falling into silence. "Just wait here," She ordered, stiffly standing before she made her way back to the tent, hesitantly clearing her throat before she entered so that she didn't surprise the human. Who knew what he was capable of? "We can cut the bullshit," She stated plainly, dropping into the chair, crossing both her arms and her legs. "Who are you, Human? How did you survive this long?" She asked, her soft tone from earlier completely dropping. She had only been nice at first so she didn't scare him, but at this point, she needed answers more than she needed to carefully preserve his feelings.

She pointed to her own ears. "You are a human, aren't you? Where did you come from?"
