An Introduction
The search for a perfect civilization where peace is the maintenance of life, and political and social equality is at a complete balance, has been a distant dream for many hundreds of thousands of years. However, it is an unrealistic dream due to simple human characteristic and errs. Human’s lack of stability and balance, as well as their drive for acting upon strong emotion, especially anger, causes us to be flawed creatures with a tendency to destroy rather than create and maintain. Throughout history humans find themselves in turmoil and war with each other, killing their own species for the sake of power. It is forever an unyielding cycle of destruction.

We are of a future of extraordinary possibilities, and a momentary age of relative peace among the universe. Peace, however, is only a passage to lead to tension, and cannot last forever. The balance is threatened by one that has been given the name Gallatros, meaning Dark Prince in the entity's tongue. Gallatros looks to create an empire of the galaxies and rule over them with an iron fist and cold heart, and he is prepared to do this by any means necessary. Though he poses little threat at the moment, he is not overlooked just yet and he is slowly growing in power and building his army. Already his "empire" spreads in the western borders of the galaxy, and news of his name and his dark plans is spreading.

A Quick History
In the future, many things have come to be and many more things have come to pass. Earth is a memory of its once glorious self, most of it being destroyed by the Great War (also known as the First War) in 2023. Technology has advanced to a phenomenal degree, allowing us new and extended space travel/machinery, as well as a surge in robotics (especially cyborg parts and android lifeforms), and synthetic reproduction. Most of what is left of natural earth is of ruin and waste, and the few natural areas left are slowly dying away.

To save their selves from dying out, like so many other species upon the broken planet, Earth scattered its remaining inhabitants to the reaches of space, and created synthetic domed areas of life within the few inhabitable areas left on Earth. Terra formations have been made with our newest technologies to house human beings and other creatures in the vast limits of open space. Space stations are forged to live upon in mechanical bliss, and other planets have been found to be human inhabitable. Along with our extended exploration and colonization of other worlds, new alliances and enemies have been made with many other life forms we’ve encountered in our long searches, some similar to our own, and others far from it. Despite that, interplanetary as well as galactic diplomacy has come into consideration.

Now, we dawn upon a new age where humans and other species co-exist to a mostly peaceful extent. Wars, of course, have broken out in the past and are still prone to do so. The most recent war, The Second Great War (or the Second War), spread through the universe in 2063, 40 years after the First War, and almost resulted in total demise of everything. However, peace was eventually gained through a galactic treaty, and an alliance was made. The intergalactic alliance (IGA) has banned together as a means similar to what Earth knew as the United Nations (UN).

The Present
For two decades now things have been at relative peace through the galaxies. Trade is phenomenal, travel is open, and relations seem strong. The IGA holds tightly together, overlooking relations and keeping peace among the galaxies; they house themselves on a terra formation called Gaia, formed in the center of the galaxies. The most vast and beautiful of all formations, it’s considered the head area of the universal governing. This new age can be seen as a Golden Age that could be considered a momentary Utopia for human kind and others. However, all this faces the chance of being torn apart as forces from even further outside our reach threaten to destroy the peace that has been created.

Gallatros is building his army and his plans are slowly coming to light...

The Plotline
Enter now a rag-tag group of miss-fit individuals upon a simple 'cargo' ship called The Valiant trying to make ends meat! They seem like nothing more than vagabonds trying to make a living by cargo caring and other ‘odd’ jobs, but there is much more to each and every one of these individuals, as well as the individuals they meet along the way. Perhaps they may find that they could eventually hold the balance of peace for the darkness that approaches by banding together with allies to demolish the evil. So welcome to a new era where if you set your mind to something almost anything is possible. Where danger and adventure may be around any corner! What will your part in this life be?

Appearance Isolde was built at a height of 5'7" with a slim body frame. It was obvious that her creators were men from her body type 34-24-34 body measurements. Her skin is a lightly tanned color, and she has a barcode on the back of her neck. Her eyes are a piercing amethyst, and her hair is straight and reaches midback when left down. It is black with silver highlights, and usually is kept in a loose bun. A few codes are engraved upon her back as well that look like tattoos. Clothing wise she is either found in one of two outfits: on-duty she wears the typical nurses uniform. Off-duty she can be found in a black corset-like halter-top with a red skirt and a jacket over this. She will usually wear her hair down as well.
Bio She really has no distinct age, but was modeled in a fashion that she appears perhaps around 22 in age. Isolde chose her own name two years after her creation. She is a model XD2-023S-03 medical bot. Created solely for the purpose of carrying out medical procedures. As a cyborg, her model was thought to be the 'perfect' form, up to that date the most realistic cyborg created; but every model has it's flaws. The model she was created after were created to have little personality, except to follow orders and retain information to carry out those orders. Isolde wasn't the type to do such a thing, and quickly began to gain quite the independent personality, despite attempts of reformatting her. She liked to think she could one day become flesh and blood, even though she couldn't. After her third reformatting, they began to give up on her and had decided to throw her out. However, she fought back for her freedom, killing two of her captors in the process. Narrowly escaping her own demise, she fled. For a few months she was on the run and eventually ran into a cyborg who helped her escape recapture. They traveled for a half year becoming friends, but were separated eventually. A year later she was almost recaptured, but she stowed away upon the Valiant. The captain found her, though. After telling her story, the captain took pity upon her and allowed her to stay aboard as the resident medic.

Character: Hardware
Age: Organic parts are 42. Mechanical parts are between three and four years.
Race: Mechalith. Mechalith are humans that have intentionally placed their brains and spinal columns into heavily armored shells. Originally the procedure had been done for people whose bodies could not cope with viruses and other such ailments. The black market began outfitting individuals with these bodies, particularly mercenaries and criminals.

Primary: GAU-25 Equalizer. A multibarreled automatic cannon firing 25mm Armor Piercing High Explosive Incendiary Tracers, the Equalizer can be used for suppression fire, anti-material fire, and as an anti-aircraft cannon. Just the report of the weapon is enough to dishearten soldiers on the recieving end.
Secondary: BOFORS cannon. Installed in Hardware's left bicep is a 40mm cannon loaded with cluster rounds. He uses it as a Point Defense Weapon when wielding the Equalizer.
Tertiary: Himself. Not many people want to tangle with a Mechalith one to one. Most surrender or run.
Strengths: Hardware's armor shell gives him extreme durability and a tank complex. He relishes the thought of drawing fire as it gives him an excuse to show enemies that he is an indestructible master of war. His shell also endows him with the strength to act as a forklift, something very valuable for his line of work.
Weaknesses: That armor gives him weight the likes of which Jenny Craig and Weight Watchers cannot take away. Not many platforms can support his weight and this slows him down in marshes and similar terrain. As any fire team knows, you're only as fast as your slowest man and Hardware is pretty slow.

Despite his heavy armor shell, Hardware sees the need to wear desert pattern BDU trousers, an ammunition bandolier across his chest, and a red beret with an anvil and crossed sledge hammers.
Bio: A veteran mercenary from the Iron Army, Hardware enlisted with the Valiant to give them his expertise as a weapons specialist. He makes sure everything works as it's supposed to and fixes weapons whenever they break.

Bio: Anderson was raised by his father who was a smuggler. Because of this, he grew up living on a ship. He was traveling space before he could walk. By the time he was twelve, his father began teaching him how to fly. It started out with just starting the ship and then it went on to flying it in open space.

At sixteen Anderson was on his own on a different ship than his father. He was young but he showed his first employer that he had the skill to make up for it. He went from job to job on different ships for the next ten years. Then he found employment on the Valiant and began working there for a longer time than usual.

Strengths

* Superhuman: Silias is stronger, faster and more resilient than the average human
* Terrifying fury: In Battle, Silias is a terrifying foe, as the 8' warrior charges
forwards, screaming litanies of hate, malice and judgment, many find the
experience unsettling in the least.
* Superior Training: Silias is adept at the use of most Solid projectile, Rocket,
Missile, and most melee weapons, due to his extensive training.
* Augmented Physiology: Silias has a variety of extra organs, such as a third lung,
second heart and other organs, designed to perform a range of tasks from
clotting all minor wounds almost instantly to dealing with poison

Weaknesses

* Broken Armor: Silias' chestplate was destroyed before he was flung through the
warp, and he refuses to wear any other armor on his chest, forcing him to rely on
his enhanced physiology to keep him alive.
* Broken Mind: Everything Silias knew and loved is gone, his attempts at protecting
it all futile, and for this he harbors a deep and dangerous anger for both himself
and others, in battle he is likely to be the first to engage, the last to disengage
and put himself as far into harms way as he can
* The Price of Failure: Silias often uses ritual scarification and tattooing all over his
torso to illustrate and mark his failing, names, images of loved ones lost and
unintelligible symbols mark his flesh, often causing him to be ignored and left
alone by the rest of the crew, and this distance makes Silias' condition worse,
his desire for vengeance on the foe more intense, and his willingness to do the

Bio
All Silias will tell of his failings and his arriving aboard the Valiant are that he was once a Leader of men and women, and he fought for justices, honor and glory, but that in his quest to stop a madman, he was betrayed, and he had to fight the man who had once been his mentor and teacher, and that they had fought a savage hand to hand combat, with neither able to gain an advantage until Silias was struck down by a "Mad King" and almost drowned in a giant sea as the Insane Monarch made to destroy the world.

Silas was Trapped on the bottom of the ocean, water filling all three of his lungs and moments before he should have drowned, he blacked out, awakening aboard the Valiant, under Isolde's care and in a strange new realm of existence.

He has served aboard the Valiant ever since.

Other: Silias is know by the Epithet of Warmaster, only Isolde knows him as Silias.

Zaak Breznin-Jumi (engineer/third weapons specialist/chef)
Character: Zakk Breznin

Age: 36

Race: Cyborg

Occupation: Engineer, Third Weapon Specialist, and Chef

Equipment: Two relic Colt .45 pistols, and one M4 Carbine.

Strengths: Enhanced senses on his right side as well as increased strength, and speed on his right side. Audio, and Photo-graphic memory, and a nearly impervious resistance to the human emotion of fear. He also heals at a faster rate than his human counterparts both organically, and mechanically.

Weaknesses: Zakk has a fear of explosives, and must consume large amounts of food in order to power his mechanical components as well as his organic components. He is also very cold, and so doesn't seem to socialize as easy as most. He is also completely blind in his left eye.

Bio: The bread and butter behind Zakk is rather simple. He was a ground pounder for a PMC group known as the Iron Legion. His Rate was that of a combat engineer, and so he was usually in the front lines with the general infantry, and was responsible for building all their defenses as well as repairing their equipment.

Official records state that he was KIA during a skirmish between the Iron Legion, and a rebel force on the plains of Yazna VII. An artillery strike landed in the middle of his camp, and blew the entire right side of his body off, and left shrapnel in his left eye leaving it completely blind. The scientist of the Iron Legion discovered his corpse which amazingly enough... wasn't exactly a corpse just yet, and decided to experiment on him using their latest technology since he still showed signs of life. It would be a great testament to the power of science... resurrecting a man from the dead.

They did rebuild him... made him faster, stronger... better than before, but what they couldn't do was return to him his memories, and that left him with all his combat training, and knowledge in his subconscious. This in turn made him worthless as a soldier, and so he was scraped. They jettisoned him into space after deactivating him.

He was found by the crew members of the Valiant, and reactivated with a large electric shock that came to be as a very fortunate accident. The rest is as they say... history.

Kriv Heskan-Boss Frost (inventor) **future passenger**

Race: Sharttan, Maynsk breed

Occupation: Inventor

Equipment:
*X-Pack version 2.3: A specialized, advanced version of the X-Pack, the invention that made him semi-famous. It appears to be a smallish metal backpack, though it holds within it countless arms, each with it's own function. Said functions will now be listed along with the amount of said arms in the pack and their basic function: "Longarms" (3, extends a long arm for grabbing things), "Sizzler" (1, small blow-torch for welding), "Brawler" (2, a short arm that 'attaches' to a person's real arm, improving their strength by a great deal), "Grabber" (1, arm with a magnetized hand that can be turned on and off). "Slicer" (1, sword-arm for slicing and self-defense). Arms controlled with sensors in the wearer's gloves.
*View-O-Goggles version 1.6: An impressive pair of goggles with many functions - though not all are useful (or legal on some planets). These include: Magnification, Infrared, Nightvision, Anti-Clothes, Darkener (reacts to bright flashes, allows user to see normally). Also includes a hidden lazer in the left outer rim that can be fired with a touch.
*Acroboots prototype: A new invention that hasn't been released to the public, the Acroboots allow for greater running speed and jumping ability, without the use of explosives.
*Project-O-Tron prototype: A hologram machine.
*Toolkit: A must-have for every inventor!
Strengths:
*Feline Attributes: The Sharttan are a race of humanoids resembling earth felines. They display a lot of the traits that a cat is reputed to have.
*"Nine Lives": The inventor seems blessed with an unneeded amount of luck. Must help him make inventions that don't explode...
*Sharttan: The Sharttan, while resembling felines, have a few traits that are beyond what most people consider. They have ultra-long claws and strong fingers... while good as weapons, they're most often seen as what allows the Sharttan to 'climb walls' and 'stick' to ceilings. Like most of the races' species, the Maynsk have an extra 'set' of what most races only have one of - in the Maynsk's case, two sets of ears.
*Medical Marvel: Living in the swamp world of Marrosk has made the Sharrtan highly resistant to diseases and chemicals, and a part of the medical knowledge of their people passes down almost instinctively. They are highly sought-after as medics, even the ones without formal training.

Weaknesses:
*Hyper-Sensitive Hearing: Having two sets of ears does wonders... most of the time.
*Easily Spooked: Like the cats that Sharttan resemble, they have a reputation as being skittish. When a 'surprise' actually happens, they normally jump and latch onto ceilings... or start frantically clawing at whoever frightened them.
*Frail: Kriv doesn't hold up to punishment well. He crumples to unconsciousness after only a few hits.
*Hyper-Sensitive Touch: A part of being frail, a part of his race, a Sharrtan 'senses' things through their skin, making it hyper-sensitive to all touch... including pain, normal comforting touch, or pleasure.

Appearance: Almost six feet tall, Kriv holds himself like he's good looking and he knows he is. Feline traits similar to that of an earth Lynx, he's certainly unique to look upon. His body holds a tight sort of muscle that one sees on cats, and one could suspect he was physically in top condition despite a small touch of belly. His shirt white, and ultra-tight with no sleeves, displaying toned arms. On his back rests an odd sort of backpack, his eyes covered by green-tinted goggles. Twin pairs of ears flick on the top of his head, reacting to various sounds. His hair is pulled back in a long braid down to the small of his back, and the little lynx-tail pokes sightly out of the specialized pair of pants. A good deal of scars - from a great rip in one ear to a slice parting his cheek and barely missing his eye - were common on him. It's to be assumed that they're from failed inventions...

Bio: Born to the slave caste on the Maynsk homeworld, life did not seem like it'd be very good. His father was beaten to death soon after Kriv's birth, and his mother met a similar fate when he was six. Even at that time, Kriv was sent to work at his 'master's command... his master, a Tigrean also native of the continent, was not a cruel man - no, he simply had quotas to keep to, and would make darn sure such quotas were kept.

Kriv hated him - anyone who exploited the lives of others for their own livelihood was not the sort of person he was fond of. The hateful glances Kriv normally launched at the man were met with savage beatings when he was seen.

He worked for the man for sixteen years... it was another slave's revolt that allowed him to escape. While a good deal of the slaves were storming and raiding the estate, Kriv made his way out. He lived in a junkyard for quite a few years, fighting for survival and making what he could. Turns out, the young lad was a prodigy - a passing noble witnessed some of his inventions, and Kriv sold the X-Pack version 1 to the noble in exchange to enough money to buy his way onto another ship.

He has made good use of it and his talents at invention - allowing himself the luxury of eating slightly more than he was used to, he has developed the smallest trace of a belly - an attractive thing to fellow Maynsk, as it shows that they can provide for themselves enough to overeat.

Kriv found himself buying fare onto the cargo ship Valiant in an effort to see new words and be inspired to create new things... he's been helpful enough to help whoever asks for it when asked, so things have gone rather smoothly. The crew remains ignorant of his once-slave heritage.

Transformed state

Bio Naidia comes from the planet Atlantis. Her parents were killed in one of the many raids upon their planet when she was young. Naidia managed to escape but was given a nasty scar upon her face. Found alone and weak, she was taken in by a group of outlaws who was passing by. The captain took a certain interest in her and began to raise her. She became a well known and notorious outlaw/bounty hunter. Eventually, Naidia broke away from the outlaw family she'd come to cherish, but it was more or less so she could simply have her own freedom (she still sees them as her family). Now she travels solo working alone for her own purposes.

Marcelo Vivaldi-Woodrat (Pilot)
Character: Marcelo Vivaldi

Age: 28

Race: Agrigorn, while in all appearances he is human, he does have some differences. His body can withstand more punishment than the regular human body (though not to an absurd level). He can stay awake for longer periods, though he also can end up sleeping for longer periods. His reaction time and reflexes are above average of a normal human being. Eyesight and hearing is a tad sharper as well.

Equipment: - Lighter, Flashlight, Laser Pistol, Multi-tool, sunglasses

Strengths:

- Other than the above said racial bonuses he happens to be a seasoned pilot.

- Above average in marksmanship with ranged weapons (only those that he is familiar with).

- When it comes to ships he can pick up quickly on basic controls, maintenance, and repair. If it comes with a repair manual he can figure out how to fix it (though not without some trial and error).
In essence, a jack-of-all trades, master of none.

Weaknesses:

- Forgetful (especially of names), if it isn’t important or something he is used too, he will absentmindedly forget it. Marcelo can become clumsy at times.

- Wary of robots, androids, artificial intelligence, etc. Can lead to ‘trust’ issues, among other things.

- Other than the above “Racial Strengths” he is like any other human, you cut him he bleeds, you shoot him in the head he dies.

- Can’t swim, hates being stuck in extremely large bodies of water. This includes anything from lakes to oceans.

- Sensitive ears and eyes, bright conditions or prolonged loud noises can become major headaches.

Bio:

Marcelo grew up on the large colony planet Darius II, known for its rich mineral deposits and rough atmosphere. For most of his late teenage to early 20’s he flew bulky space transports from the planet’s mining and processing facilities to the mega freighters circling above the planet.

Slowly he saved up enough money and experience to leave Darius II and the harsh conditions there to work across the galaxy. Picking up jobs as either a mechanic or pilot for freelancers and small companies he has jumped from ship to ship and company to company. Always earning enough to survive, but never enough to stay with one ship or company long term.

Bahn D'lece-SheWolf ("musician")
Character: Bahn D'lece (pronounced baan tha-layss-ay)

Unknown. (87 winter cycles) late-adolescence.

Race:
E'noore Vi, commonly nicknamed "unicorns" for their extremely reclusive nature and spiral horn; the natives of Enoore's third moon. The Vi are telempaths, humanoid bipeds, but there any resemblence to any other "humanoid" species ends. Musician (-to the Vi. This means Bahn could be anything from a physicist to a physician-whatever you think would be useful to the plot.)

Equiptment:
Bahn has a thousand little odds and ends, tools and toys and trinkets tucked away in his(her) robes. Some of them are priceless, some of them are dangerous, most of them aren't particularly useful...

Strengths:
Bahn is a telempath; s/he can't read specific thoughts and intentions, (or maybe s/he can... among the Vi, Bahn is quite articulate, but thoughts don't translate well between telepathic species and non-telepathic species, so out here it's all just a vague, muddy wash of colors and abstract sounds.) s/he picks up emotions pretty well, and is very difficult to lie to.

Weaknesses:
Bahn is a telempath, stranded apart from his(her) people has left him(her) a bit scatterbrained. S/he is easily confused and distracted in crowds, and struggles to shut his/her envornment out. While difficult to lie to, it's fairly easy to lead Bahn on, as long as you're happy about what you're doing, s/he's likely to be just as willing to go along with it.

Bio:
Bahn was exiled from his(her) people for seriously injuring a friend. Until both have healed, Hethe D'ovis from his(her) injuries and anger and Bahn from his(her) feelings of guilt, Bahn cannot return to the planet, or risk making his(her) family mindsick. Bahn has drifted between planets and colonies for almost four months, quickly finding s/he prefers the relative quiet of small ships in the time and space between landings. It gives him(her) a chance to scrape his(her) mind back together and rest up against the next onslaught.
 
RACES

Human-Well this one really doesn't need explanation, I'd hope :p

Android
Androids are simply any purely mechanical species that are created to resemble the likes of humans or human movement. However they have no biological connections (such as the ability to reproduce, bleed, or cell structure), and are only human appearance on the outside (in general). They can also simply resemble mechanical beings without the human appearance (such as skin hair eyes ect) added but mimic human movements. A complex and interesting "life form". There has long been debate on whether androids can be considered a true life-form or not.

Cyborg
a race of biomechanical nature. Unlike androids who are strictly mechanical, cyborgs infuse both biological and mechanical characteristics. Most notably cyborgs are generalized to be humans who have mechanical/cybernetic body parts added for enhancement or medical purposes. A curious mixture, cyborgs can sometimes be regarded as a taboo race, but they are still fascinating.

Hydronian-
species that lives on the planet of Atlantis. Hydronian resemble the human form for gender, but are slightly different. Their bodies are made to survive in water environments and so they prefer that type. Often when out of the water they will be found in some form of armor or suit. Skin colors can range from pale to darker tones (such as Naidia's). Hair colors are usually blue of some sort. They also have the ability to transform into a demon-like half but only in water settings. Most will take on serpent like forms, but some, like Naidia, will take on other forms that can leave the waters temporarily. Since they are mostly water based creatures, they can manipulate any form of water to their will, and are skillful craftsmen/women.

They can stay awake for longer periods, though but can also end up sleeping for longer periods. Reaction times and reflexes are above average of a normal human being. Eyesight and hearing are a tad sharper as well.

Sharttan
There are four species of Sharttan on the planet Marroust. The common Felid, the larger Leotil, the muscular Tigrean, and the slave-race Maynsk. Each look like combinations of humans and an earth-feline, though each have different traits - and all have at least one 'alien' trait. The Felid look like housecats, though sport two tails. The Leotil look like lions, though they have two sets of eyes - one on top of the other. The Tigrean are known for having two sets of grand, beefy arms. The final, Maynsk, have two sets of ears. They also take on other traits of cats such as luck/9 lives/reflexes ect...

Tor'Siv
A race of parasitic lifeforms. They don't really have a 'set' appearance, but upon birth they take on a random form. From there they live by taking over a host. When they take over the host they can either live harmoniously with said host or take completely over. When they shapeshift into the hosts form they gain whatever abilities/enhancements their host has and generally compile abilities as they grow older. They can live upwards of thousands of years the way their species functions. In general, Tor'Siv are peaceful and mind their own business in their homeland and galaxy. However, an exception to the norms has arisen and taken over not only their own planet, but is stretching out their power to other planets and galaxies...

E'noore Vi
E'noore Vi, commonly nicknamed "unicorns" for their extremely reclusive nature and spiral horn; the natives of Enoore's third moon. The Vi are telempaths, humanoid bipeds, but there any resemblence to any other "humanoid" species ends. Planets/Terra Formations/Space Stations ect

Earth and the other 8 plants- again self explanatory...

Gaia
The biggest terra formation. Gaia is a planet that can be described as a paradise, as it was fashioned in that sense. Here is where the GA is housed, and a vast array of different species/races resides peacefully upon this planet. Some call it the Golden Planet.

Atlantis
Planet of the Hydronian's. It is very much water based, but there are land masses upon it. The kingdoms are vast and beautiful, resembling fantastical images of what a golden city might look like. Technology may seem less advanced to human standards, but they have a vast knowledge of enhancements that suit their people quite well. Because of it's beauty and bounty of precious gems and artifacts Atlantis is often a target for raids and kidnappings.

Marroust
Marroust is the fifth planet orbiting a sun younger than earth's in the horsehead nebula. It is a boggy, water-filled planet with very little metallic resources - those it does have being very deep. The world has no tectonics, only the currents of the grand swamp world. The Sharrtan evolved from tree-dwelling felines that still exist in some parts of the world. While very little has developed in the ways of technology involving warfare or space-travel, Marroust is a world filled with strange plants and animals which were helpful enough for other planets that Marroust has been kept 'in the loop' of things. Specifically, the wide variety of herbs and vegetation had made the Sharrtan an extremely long-lived race thanks to a healthy lifestyle and a highly developed body of medical knowledge... they made a very good impression on the first human visitors, curing them of the swamp-diseases they encountered when they arrived. While the Sharrtan practice slavery of the Maynsk race, there seems to be an acceptance on how to have slaves and how not to, and it is fairly peaceful - the Maynsk (meaning 'shortest' - both their height and their tail-size are shorter than the other races) are clever and small enough to fit into the mining operations, and their ears allow them to 'hear' the rush of a water leak in enough time to evacuate. The Sharrtan have no united body of government - ruled instead by 'lords' of a bit of the planet... who normally set up farms, towns, or mining operations depending on their mood. There has never been a war between the Sharrtan races - they seem very unified in their stance on this, and an argument between two Sharrtan is disputed between the two Sharrtan in question - normally in underwater duels to the death. They have had a single war - a race of 'lizard-looking people' once came to their planet in an attempt to conquer them - they were met with many nasty surprises, including biological warfare with effects from the swamp-world's diseases and plant mixtures. They have made their worth known as doctors and clever beings throughout their dealings with other races. They do have their own style of ship, though no other races seem willing to ride in one of them (it freaks them out) - having no real 'metal', the Sharrtan "grow" their ships from a type of wood grown on their planet with the hardness and thickness of a standard ships' hull. No cutting is needed - they just take the years needed to 'grow' it. This sort of ship has advantages as being it's own air supply, and the increased ability to grow food on a ship, but the length it takes to make one and the nervousness that being in a 'wood spaceship' has on other races has not made them very popular.

Asperas Prime
A bog-planet Terra formation. Most of the land is, obviously, bogs and marshes, but solid tundras and a few thick forests also inhabit the land. The creatures there are somewhat mutated from what we are familiar with. The more intelligent inhabitants are one of three species: a bug-like species, human and anthro mix, and cannibal tribe. Their prime food are wild berries that grow in the bogs, and thick, dried meat. Their biggest dealings are in coal and diamond mining.

Enoore
Enoore is a large moon that's mostly dense forest; with a long, snow heavy winter and short, mild spring and even shorter, incredibly hot summer. There are several alien colonies scattered across it, as it's in the middle of a decently busy trade route, but they don't have much to do with the Vi and the Vi pretty much ignore them

I'll remake my character but leave part of the background out until I see where we are. If we pick up where we left off, I'll have it so that I'm part of the crew of the wrecked transport or something like that. If we start over, I'll come up with something else.

Strengths:

- Other than the above said racial bonuses he happens to be a seasoned pilot.

- Above average in marksmanship with ranged weapons (only those that he is familiar with).

- When it comes to ships he can pick up quickly on basic controls, maintenance, and repair. If it comes with a repair manual he can figure out how to fix it (though not without some trial and error).
In essence, a jack-of-all trades, master of none.

Weaknesses:

- Forgetful (especially of names), if it isn’t important or something he is used too, he will absentmindedly forget it. Marcelo can become clumsy at times.

- Wary of robots, androids, artificial intelligence, etc. Can lead to ‘trust’ issues, among other things.

- Other than the above “Racial Strengths” he is like any other human, you cut him he bleeds, you shoot him in the head he dies.

- Can’t swim, hates being stuck in extremely large bodies of water. This includes anything from lakes to oceans.

- Sensitive ears and eyes, bright conditions or prolonged loud noises can become major headaches.

Bio:

Marcelo grew up on the large colony planet Darius II, known for its rich mineral deposits and rough atmosphere. For most of his late teenage to early 20’s he flew bulky space transports from the planet’s mining and processing facilities to the mega freighters circling above the planet.

Slowly he saved up enough money and experience to leave Darius II and the harsh conditions there to work across the galaxy. Picking up jobs as either a mechanic or pilot for freelancers and small companies he has jumped from ship to ship and company to company. Always earning enough to survive, but never enough to stay with one ship or company long term.

Bio: Anderson was raised by his father who was a smuggler. Because of this, he grew up living on a ship. He was traveling space before he could walk. By the time he was twelve, his father began teaching him how to fly. It started out with just starting the ship and then it went on to flying it in open space.

At sixteen Anderson was on his own on a different ship than his father. He was young but he showed his first employer that he had the skill to make up for it. He went from job to job on different ships for the next ten years. Then he found employment on the Valiant and began working there for a longer time than usual.

All Silias will tell of his failings and his arriving aboard the Valiant are that he was once a Leader of men and women, and he fought for justices, honor and glory, but that in his quest to stop a madman, he was betrayed, and he had to fight the man who had once been his mentor and teacher, and that they had fought a savage hand to hand combat, with neither able to gain an advantage until Silias was struck down by a "Mad King" and almost drowned in a giant sea as the Insane Monarch made to destroy the world.

Silas was Trapped on the bottom of the ocean, water filling all three of his lungs and moments before he should have drowned, he blacked out, awakening aboard the Valiant, under Isolde's care and in a strange new realm of existence.

He has served aboard the Valiant ever since.
