General Characteristics
Name: Samantha Sanders
Nicknames: Sam, Sammy or simply Sanders, the latter of which she finds irritating at times
Age: 27
Birthplace and nationality: Leeds, UK; British as well as Polish
Gender: Currently identifies as Female, in spite of having been Gender Fluid in the past
Outlook characteristics
Appearance:
A youthful looking woman in her late 30s, Samantha stands at the rather short height of 4'11 (1.50m) and weights 110lbs (50kg). In general, her physic is well-balanced and in healthy condition, achieved from hours upon hours of training. As a matter of fact, Samantha is proud of being a capable individual with a great deal of both mental and physical strength. However, one minus she has noted about her body type is the lack of curves. Usually, this would be no problem of any sorts if it wasn't for the fact that she has been constantly mistaken for a teenage boy. This combined with the fact she has short hair, as well as doesn't put on any make-up, doesn't help the whole situation get any easier. In the past she didn't seem to mind being identified as the opposite gender, yet after seeing confusion arise in those around her, Sam took it upon herself to change things up a little bit. Currently, she is attempting to achieve a more feminine appearance and overcome all complications.
Furthermore, consequently to bearing similarly coloured hair and eyes, both of which in a dark brownish shade, she comes off as a rather common and even boring person with no exceptional or eye-catching features. Despite that, one thing that stands out among her oh-so-'down-to-earth' look would be the smile which adorns her face most, if not all, of the time. She has a friendly and soothing sense lingering around her due to such a welcoming expression, which creates a relaxed atmosphere for those she converses with. This, of course, is a handy trait to have in her line of work.

Clothing choice and memorable accessories: In the past Samantha used to have an unhealthy obsession with boy's clothing from the young age of 3. Baggy T-shirts, jeans, shorts, tank tops, baseball caps, trainers - she adored it all and would refuse to even come near any skirts or dresses. This leaning towards men's apparel continued throughout her childhood, teenage years and well over her graduating college. During this long and important period of her life, Samantha could be seen wearing mostly plain hoodies, usually in blues or greens, combined with skinny jeans or shorts as well as old, worn-out trainers.
However, nowadays, she has started taking safe and slow steps towards changing her dress-code. She attempts to wear more formal skirts and plain white blouses to compliment her figure. Her love for trousers still remains, though, since she is seen with dress pants a huge portion of her time. A thing to note is another fascination that has become obvious - this would be how addicted she is to long trench coats. Actually, Samantha is in possession of at least 7 ones, all in different colour variations.
Distinguishable and/or odd traits: The only prominent trait would be her soothing smile, which for her is quite enough. Of course, the lack of prominent features is seen by a massive portion of the population as negative and unappealing, though Sam would beg to differ. She uses her appearance as an advantage and claims it helpful when it comes down to her occupation.
Personality characteristics
Personality: A good listener, accepting of other people's opinions and choices. This is the way Samantha identifies herself and believes, or rather hopes, she acts. As a matter of fact, most of the views listed above are ultimately true and what allowed her to become a psychologist in the first place. From a young age, Sam has been aware of the world around her and the very basic rule of 'respecting others' point of view'. Through her teenage years, she has become aware of the oppression of minorities and has ever since stood by their side as an 'ally' and even a part of them. She always tries her best to see the world from the angle of her acquaintances, in order to better understand their way of thinking and accept their believes. Yet, when completely disagreeing with a statement, which is seldom, she is extremely careful and conscious of the way she words thing, so as not to come off as close-minded or rude, the mere thought if which she despises. On top of that, she is highly skilled at handling her emotions and keeping calm so as to not worry anyone additionally, or to only worsen her patient's condition. Samantha bares with herself a composed and relaxed atmosphere which allows her to carry out her duties properly and make the one she is conversing with comfortable, so as for them to feel safe when sharing their troubles. Of course, to be able to listen to people's problems, one needs to be well-balanced and bear a strong mind, so as not to end up burdened and depressed due to offering their shoulders to a mass of people. Not taking her patient's problems too personally was something surprisingly hard for Samantha and is still not quite sure if she is in full control over the way she reacts and what she says during a session. However, she knows very well that paying attention to all actions is vital and thus does her best while following the words 'Don't allow a story to influence you. If it does, you shall initially become a part of it'.
Unfortunately, that statement stands only when it comes down to her job as a psychologist. During her free time, Samantha enjoys indulging into some potentially dangerous experiments through the usage of her mind. So far she has read tons upon tons of stories, which have gotten the best of her and have dragged her into their own world, as expected. Thus, she has become fascinated by things such as Astral Projection, Lucid Dreaming and tulpas and has tried out most of them. Although being able to get close to accomplishing her little attempts, she would always get scared and stop midway. After a couple of month, she would try again, but the ending result would always be the same. It is an endless cycle of fear, as she refers to it, which she cannot escape from since two great emotions are battling each other inside of Sam - curiosity and fear. Consequently, she dislikes the fact she allows her emotions to get the best of her and make her experience a horror so foolish yet unbearable. Most of all, though, she detests how she so easily let herself become a victim of these tales and get stuck on constantly quitting her attempts and then returning to them mere weeks later. There exists a burning hatred towards how weak this all makes her appear.
Personal philosophies: Samantha has a number of personal philosophies, some of which are:
- 'Don't allow a story to influence you. If it does, you shall initially become a part of it'
- 'A healthy soul resides within a healthy body'
- 'There are no such things as 'good', 'bad' or 'normal'. Those are simply words, the definition of which depends on personal view and understanding of the world'
- 'It is an awful thing to be judged for something you cannot change.'
etc.
Positive personal traits: Samantha is an abnormally tolerant person that always tries to put herself in the place of the other. On top of that, she is a trustworthy and wise listener, that always keeps in mind and is cautious of her actions.
Character flaws: Cannot seem to stop indulging into activities she realises only do her harm and cast fear. The stories she used to only read as a hobby now appear to be taking over her life and making her unstable. Consequently, she is slowly losing control over herself, which makes her blood boil with rage. Additional to all this, when she gets too much into a tale, Samantha becomes annoyed and begins expression opinions in a rather stubborn and slightly violent way.
Peculiarities: Has developed the bad habit of chewing her lip when nervous or thoughtful. Fortunately enough, the former one happens only rarely. Also, a thing to point out would be the fact that Sam dislikes the word 'normal' and avoids using it at all costs.
Background characteristics
Personal history: Being born in a most common family, Samantha was raised and taken care of in the most common way possible. She lived in a common suburban house, had common workaholic parents and a common life for most of the time. Well, with the exception that ever since she turned 2, she had constantly been mistake for a boy. That, of course, was the result of her having unusually short hair as well as wearing her older brother's baby clothes, since her mother and father found it pointless to waste money on specific apparel just for Sam. Instead, they had made an agreement to reuse the clothing they already had left from their first child. Consequently, after practically being told she was male by various strangers, she came to the conclusion that it honestly was the ultimate truth and lived in an illusion until on day her sibling explained things to her. It truly is not a surprise that she got influenced and manipulated into not being aware of her own gender for, as everyone says, 'Repeat a lie over and over again, and it shall eventually become truth'.
Despite now comprehending she was female, Samantha continued participating in activities, labelled to be suitable and 'exclusive' for boys. She started practising football at the age of 6 and fell in love with the sport, which became her passion. Unfortunately, after being constantly teased by her male teammates, she decided to quit sports for a while and reflect on everything. The whole experience occurred at the age of 11, when she now claims to have been a 'stupid brat'. So, being young and gullible, as well as not able to comprehend her surrounding and society, she began hating women and developed a most violent mentally. Sam would see females as unworthy and weak and hated herself for not having been born a boy. She would mistreat her mother, blame her, act up and all in all, be an awful stupid child.
Fortunately enough, however, after dropping out of football, she locked herself up a bit and ceased going out as much. This, although it may be seen as something bad, was of great help to Sam and played a huge roll in her development as an individual. What we are referring to is, as a matter of fact, the internet. Staying in her room, crying over how she was a girl, Sam had little to no entertainment and thus resolved to surfing the net. To make a long story short, along the way she met some incredible people and got to read some extremely well written essays, short stories, etc. She now had a new passion and past time activity, that provided her with a huge source of all sorts of information. As a result, she became aware of the many urgent faults in the functioning of society and finally understood that her misogynistic behaviour was induced by all the people around her, teaching her with their behaviour and words that the man was superior. However, those same sexist individuals, according to her, had been accustomed to a life style in which women were oppressed and thus developed such stupid and groundless opinions. In addition to all this, Samantha acknowledged many other problems with our life style such as the still existent racism as well as homophobia and so forth. The enormous amount of information she somehow fit in her head soon after that formed her opinions and by the age of 15, she found herself getting closer to the initial goal of becoming someone she craved to be. She also began labelling herself as Gender Fluid for the mere purpose of pissing off her relatives, who were close-minded and didn't even acknowledge her point of view.
After becoming more confident due to the hours spend in reading, Samantha had enough courage to continue her football training while still proceeding with her daily ventures on the internet. It was prior her 16 birthday when the though of being a psychologist ignited inside her. Thinking there was some potential in the whole idea, Sam carried on with informing herself more on the subject. Needless to say, the more she read, the more she fancied the idea of giving up her life to be a therapist and to help people with mental issues. It was around that period of time that she also came across the theory of consciousness existing before matter. One thing let to another, so she simply continued digging a hole she would not be able to get out of, tricked and fooled by the beautiful things she found along the way. Astral Projection, Time existing all at once, Sleep Paralysis and all those amazingly intriguing things simply prompted her to spiral into their world. And then she learnt of the tulpas. After which she started experimenting.
The whole event which followed did not end well. After using herself as a guinea pig to 'try out' all these phenomenons of the mind, she became friends with people her age that did the same thing. Although, she had quite a lot more information that them and thus those people would use her as a handy walking encyclopaedia. After a few month, things got worse when each and every one of them began sharing all their emotional luggage with Sam. She, of course, was happy they would rely on her in such a way even for the simple reason that this was something she wished to continue doing in the future. Yet, how unfortunate was she that only they had the right to share their troubles but when she attempted the same, those same people would clearly dismiss every word she attempted to utter. Sam began overthinking things and went so over the limit that she started detesting thinking in general and feared the human mind, that same thing that she had adored so passionately and wanted to explore. At one point things got so serious that she had to begin visiting a therapist.
At the age of 18, upon graduating, Samantha still held some doubt about her future and what she wanted to prosper in. Was psychology that good of an idea? In the end, she decided to give it a shot and did not regret taking that risk at all. While in college she got the pleasure to meet incredible and interesting people that helped her develop her current personality. Even though studying was hard, she still viewed her college days as her prime. During that time, however, she had a drop-out with her parents and, all in all, ceased conversing with them at all. The only relative she remained in contact with was her big brother.
After receiving her degree, Samantha was confused as to which path to choose but at last decided to volunteer on a European Project in Poland. There she spend 9 months taking care of sufferers of The Down Syndrome, the whole experience of which was an eye-opening. Time then went by too fast and Sam found herself on crossroads once again. This time she saw staying in Poland as the best thing to do and got herself a citizenship. She spend 2 years in Warsaw, working with children.
Now, at the age of 27 (which she still refuses to believe is the number of the years she has existed) Samantha is leaving Poland.

General characteristics
Name: Rottghast
Nicknames: Ghast, though 'they' prefer to call themselves Ghoul. On special occasions even the eerie tittle of 'The Rotten' may come to use
Age: Remains unspecified, despite the fact that 'they' have pointed out some numbers. However, the problem would be that 'they' claim to be a variety of different ages, ranging from 4 to 203, at the most random of times. When speaking about physical appearance, 'they' could be ratted to be around 16 or 17
Gender: None, though he has no issue with either male or female pronouns being used on his address. That would be mainly due to the fact he doesn't differentiate between these two genders. Neutral ones are what he uses when referring to himself.
Species: Besides having the appearance of a person, there is nothing human about him. 'They' sometimes define 'themselves' as a 'being of clay' or 'being of rot'
Powers: Despite a few being present, they are generally plain useless. One of the abilities Ghast possesses is to materialise random mundane objects around himself that are limited in size and function. Most of the time, they have nothing to do with anything and seem to simply be used as a decoration. A more important skill of his would be the full control he has over the 'wonderland'
Outlook characteristics
Appearance: Ghast appears to have a permanent 'outline', shaped to resemble a human being, despite him having rather odd and 'supernatural' attributes both appearance-wise and when it comes down to his personality. He stands at the height of 6'3 (1.90m) and weights merely 50lbs (22kg). This is due to the matter of which his body consist, that is soft to the touch and easily manipulated. Ghast sometimes claims it to be clay while others - rot. But when confronted to choose one, he lacks the ability to answer and ignores the question. As mentioned above, the thing that makes up his physical state can be influenced and changed to an extend. Thus Ghast takes advantage of his state. He can be seen messing around with his skin, painting on it, creating shapes or tugging on it. On rare occasions he commands parts of his physic, using only sheer thought, to heat up and begin melting. It is unknown why he does so. Some suppositions may be out of boredom, for entertainment or that the most peculiar occurrence is triggered by the emotions he is experiencing at that point in time. Anyway, it is never known exactly what happens since the tulpa refuses to even acknowledge inquiries such as this one and explain.
Furthermore, the lump of soft hair on top his head is of mostly blond colour, though he has also mixed some paint into it either due to being clumsy or purposely. The same goes for the pail shade of his skin that still has faith colourful trails on it. And new ones seem to appear every day after he removes some drawings previously made on his body. In addition to all this, one of his eyes is a brow-greenish hue while the second appears to have been injured in the past. This has resulted in Ghast being partially blind, yet he shows no signs of that ever bothering him. Sometimes, however, he does end up covering his face, as well as the hurt eye socket, with stickers that are received through the usage of his ability to materialise random mundane things. Said stickers are usually smilies, flowers, geometrical shapes and sometimes even buttons.
Clothing choice and memorable accessories: The tulpa enjoys wearing mostly casual and baggy clothes. The ones he is seen in most of the time are T-Shirts, sweaters, cardigans, hoodies, sweatpants and shorts. A distinguishable trait that all said articles of clothing bare is the fact that each and every one is simply plain and in a pastel colour, the most commonly used hues and shades being that of violet, brown and grey. When it comes down to footwear, Ghast refuses to put on any shoes and would much rather go barefoot.
Distinguishable and/or odd traits: In general, everything about Rottghast is freakish, including his whole bodily matter. And yet, a thing to be noted as distinguishable is his expression. Or rather, the lack of one. The tulpa's face is constantly blank, devoid of any emotion and gives out how absent-minded and thoughful he must be. His eyes are interlocked into a permanent stare as they gaze somewhere beyond the nothingness. As a matter of fact, it is known that Ghast avoids looking at the person he is talking to (on the rare ocassions when he actually converses) and continues having his eyes focused on a certain point in a different direction from the speaker.
Personality characteristics
Personality: An unnervingly quiet tulpa, Rottghast remains silent most of the time since he dislikes conversing in general and only speaks up when either asked or under special circumstances. Plus, sometimes he is unable to acknowledge the person talking to him and that is due to Ghast having some inner monologue with himself. Frankly, he thinks too much and no one knows exactly what he contemplates an awful lot of time about, including himself. Constantly thoughful and absent-minded, it is no wonder that Ghast can be pretty unresponsive at times when it comes down to certain question. The reason wouldn't be because he wishes to conceal some information but rather due to the fact that he himself doesn't appear to have answers. Actually he is quite the confused entity (most of the time) that doesn't even know their own age and may sometimes forget their name. On top of all, sometimes he suffers episodes of what we refer to as 'depersonalization', when he cannot recognise himself and speaks in third person. During those he uses the already mentioned title 'The Rotten' and appears to be fearful of himself. Surprisingly, during these occurrences he is extremely bubbly and gives out a lot of information. Unfortunately, most of it is him preaching about how terrifying and detestable 'The Rotten' is, while still dismissing any attempts at holding a conversation and instead having a passionate monologue about the horrors of oneself.
However, Rottghast does bear a side different form the usual confused and silent mannerism with outburst of horror. When willing to speak and eager to do so, Ghast suddenly becomes a brutally honest voice of reason. He then holds a rather cold mannerism and utters in a deeper, stronger voice quite differing from his usual barely audible whispers, whimpers and complete unbreakable silence. The things he speaks of when serious can be agonisingly hurtful and heartless but he claims to be telling only the ultimate truth. Yet, he evens it out by offering some helpful and wise pieces of advice even if they are mostly conveyed through the usage of riddles or metaphors. However, they do make more sense than the completely off-topic words of his while in his common state.
Something to be noted is the fact that, additionally to being confused, Rottghast is not aware of himself being a tulpa and baffled as to what his 'owner' is. The whole existence of humans is something he cannot grasp or comprehend, despite being able to see them. That does change, though, when he puts on his wiser act during which he feely points out different people and voices his thoughts on them.
Personal philosophies: He lacks any personal philosophies when his usual self. And yet, when willing to speak, he will sometimes repeat the phrase 'If one has no control over oneself, then they don't have the right to have control over anything'. This can basically be recognised as either a catch-phrase or a parasitic one.
Positive personal traits: Is not a merciless or evil spirit but a neutral entity that remains quiet and thoughful throughout most of this existence while merely minding its own business. Also, when he speaks, Rottghast attempts to be helpful and gives advice when needed.
Character flaws: Is unresponsive and simply a complete mess that doesn't recognise oneself and has episodes of uncontrollable terror that prompts him to preach for the longest of times. On the other hand, even when trying to be helpful, Rottghast comes off as cold-hearted and brutal, occasionally only worsening the situation.
Peculiarities: Over time he has developed the habit of biting his nails for the mere purpose of doing so, as well as tugging at the end of his sleeves when thinking. A rather gruesome mannerism of his is to rub his eyes, which usually results in the distortion of his face due to the material of which it consist. He does seem to do this quite consciously and the same goes for painting on himself.
Background characteristics
Personal history: Being unaware of his own personal history, it was extremely difficult for Rottghast to put to words the events of his existence thus far. Yet, through the usage of simple words and phrases, he finally constructed piece by piece his story.
He was born of mud and meat in a damp cold place going by the supposed name of 'the swamp'. He awoke there on sunrise many years ago, half-naked in the cold water with flies landing, gnawing on his bruised skin. What had so rudely pulled him out of his slumber were a couple of faint sun rays that had somehow managed to creep through the fence of branches all around, and had initially fallen on Ghast's face, illumination it with their annoying light. When coming to this conclusion, Rottghast decided to look around, examine this most peculiar place. As he remained in the same position, lying in the dirty putrid liquid, he turned his head and gazed at the sight before him. Greenery all around him that gave off the awful scent of spoilt flesh and strange insect as if drifting through the air near the treetops, carried and toyed by the merciless wind that pushed them down and further down, wanting them to drown. And then, an endless ancient forest seemed to be surrounding him, the tree branches intertwining, swirling, creating an unbreakable barrier to keep things out... as well as keep things in.
Rottghast was unable to utter a word not since he was shocked but because he didn't have anything to say. In general, Ghast did not care of the trap he had been put in and had no wishes or will to leave. So, he simply continued staring beyond what he could see, still lying in the water that ever so gently pushed and nudged him, desperately trying to get him to stand up before the flies had consumed him alive. Yet, he did not see a point in even moving.
Days past and then he lost all sense of time as night and day blended into one. Fortunately, though, the bugs had gone away. That was unexpected, he thought. Ghast had been almost convinced that they were going to end him, to punish him for some awful deed he had committed before coming here. Yes, this place was his prison, he supposed. And then he noticed the silence and how darkness had already devoured all in its never-ending hunger, only leaving this poor being alone in its thoughts. So, what else could he do, he carried on thinking... about things which he cannot remember. All he knows is that he then began hating himself for he was quite convinced of the supposed crime committed prior to this torture by the oh-so-detestable 'The Rotten'.
He was now completely isolated, unresponsive, paralysed, absorbed into his mind. Yet, as suddenly as he had appeared here, so did he vanish from 'the swamp'. The mud sucked him in and dropped him off where he currently resides.
'Owner' and relationship
View of the humans: Rottghast generally doesn't even acknowledge humans. To him they are phantasms, figures of mind, ghosts. An apparition or plain hallucination that he sometimes converses with since it may be viewed as a part of himself and his subconscious. It could be said that in Ghast's eyes he is the only person while those entities surrounding him are the tulpas. Besides this, when serious, his behaviour towards them appears to change completely. Instead of faking ignorance, he now freely discusses and even judges the humans he spots, and simply looks down on them, dubbing them foolish and lowly creatures.
Wonderland: His wonderland consist of a simple room in light pastel pink walls as well as a single sky blue one, the latter one being his canvas where he draws occasionally when not doing so on himself. Other notable things present in the room are a small stash of children's toys, painting tools and materials he created out of thin air and decided to keep; a glass ceiling with a triangular hole in the middle and a metallic tree, growing past the said triangular opening. A special and distinguishable thing about his place of residence would be the fact that he enjoys changing up the room's size and shape, which he does every day. Ghast claims it would be 'too boring' if he didn't do so. That is not the only change he consciously makes, but also daily removes the paintings he had done the previous day from the 'canvas', in order to be able to get creative once again.
As to where this peculiar room is located, it is surrounded by a vibrant clear blue sky above, through which drift white puffy clouds, and a eerie deep greenish ocean bellow, as the room itself floats in the middle of all this. From the floor of it there can be seen the roots of the metallic tree that reach down all the way to the ocean, their tips covered in orange rust, while up in the sky graciously grows the treetop, covered in transparent glass leaves. A favourite past-time activity of Ghast's is to rest down on the floor and gaze up at the clouds while contemplating about the universe.
