TIMELINE OF EVENTS
2015
- The Progressive Society for Worldwide Peace and Cooperation is established.
- Julius Ainsworth, a successful and wealthy businessman, announces his interest in becoming Minister. This is not taken seriously by the general public.

2016
- A new law has been passed. There would be a crackdown on words that are deemed prejudicial. If anyone utters any of the blacklisted words (i.e. “Unutterables”) outside of academic or journalistic interest, they would be immediately put under investigation. Many do not stand by this decision, arguing that any form of censorship is unacceptable. However, there are just as many who support the new law.
- The word “mudblood” is officially listed as an “Unutterable”
- Masses start protesting outside the ministry. It becomes so violent that aurors are forced to intervene.

2017
- Julius Ainsworth is proclaimed as Most Promising Candidate for Minister in a newsletter poll.
- Julius Ainsworth’s post on Wizagram strikes a chord with the masses, especially those starting to feel oppressed by the new laws.

2018
- A documentary called “Creating Voldemort: The True and Tragic Tale of Tom Riddle” is released, detailing the life of Tom Riddle through the lens of a production crew that believes he had good intentions.

2019
- Hermione Granger becomes Minister of Magic
- The Confoundable Calamity occurs. It is the most damaging act of terrorism the wizarding world has ever seen. Items of a magical nature are scattered all throughout the world, threatening the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy. This progressively gets worse, ultimately leading to wizards and witches revealing their powers to the muggle public.
- The Ministry pins the blame on PSWPC, although the Society denies any involvement.
- A referendum is held after great pressure from the public and PSWPC. The Ministry finally breaks the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy according to popular vote. This greatly damages relations with other countries who are now compromised due to the British Ministry’s failure to uphold the statute.
- There is great tension between the Muggle and Wizarding societies. Hate crimes have been enacted upon witches and wizards all over the country. This is propagated even further by religious zealots, who believe that magic is the root of all evil.

2020 (Current Year)
- The Ministry of Magic is bombed down. At least half of its workers are evacuated just in time. The rest perished in the attack.
- After some thorough investigation, a group of muggle terrorists are believed to be the prime suspects. However, this is widely disputed. The main argument being that the muggle terrorists could not have possibly infiltrated the Ministry of Magic without help from an insider. Others believe that the terrorists were placed under the Imperius Curse. These claims are still being investigated.

SUPPLEMENTAL LORE
1. Concerning Vampires

1.1. Sun
While exposure to the sun is lethal to pure vampires, the case is slightly different where half-Vampires are concerned. Half-Vampires will simply feel an uncomfortable prickling on their skin when out in the sun, and upon prolonged exposure, may even fall ill.
1.2. Diet
Half-vampires can eat ordinary human food and even survive on it, however it would be uncomfortable and unsatisfactory. A vampire's lust for blood is like an addiction. Half-vampires who don't regularly consume blood are prone to feeling depressed and this may cause lapses in their judgement and mood. This also affects their regenerative ability greatly, as it becomes a lot less effective.
As for the taste, it varies with each person and what type of food they eat, if they have any diseases, etc. Ultimately, a vampire's taste for blood comes down to individual preference. Vampires, as a general rule, do not normally drink other vampires' blood as the taste does not appeal to them.

On the other hand, it is a myth that vampires can distinguish between "virgin" blood and "non-virgin" blood. There is no discernible difference between the blood of a virgin and one who isn't.
1.3. Aging
Pure vampires are said to be immortal and still manage to retain their youth. Half-vampires, on the other hand, are not immortal, though their life span of ~300 years is slightly longer than the average life span of wizards. They are, however, also blessed with the gift of youth, with all signs of physical aging normally halting once they reach approximately 20 years of age.
1.4. Garlic, Silver
Half-vampires, like pure vampires, despise garlic as it is too much for their heightened senses to handle. While the sight of it won't necessarily cause them to flee, consuming it (and even catching a whiff of it) may cause them to vomit or have an upset stomach.
Silver, on the other hand, is toxic to full vampires upon touch, but only mildly irritating to half-vampires. This is due to an ancient curse that remains unbroken.
1.5. Turning
Half-vampires cannot turn other beings into vampires. Pure vampires, however, do have that ability. The process is similar to that of a werewolf.
1.6. Fangs and Glowing Eyes
Their eyes would glow red when they're lusting hard for blood, overly excited, angry, or experiencing some other strong emotion. But with strenuous practice they can control it and prevent their eyes from glowing when needed. Their fangs, on the other hand, are easily retractable.

Some half-vampires do not have eyes that glow. This is only quite common among pure vampires.
1.7. Abilities
Half-vampires have slightly increased strength and speed but not to the degree that pure vampires do. Certainly not enough to be considered superhuman. They can throw a mean punch but probably won't break someone's skull in the process.

Vampires also do possess regenerative abilities. They can regenerate any part of their body at will.

It is a myth that vampires have hypnotic abilities. Some vampires are just exceedingly attractive and may have conned some mortals with their charisma in the past.

2. Concerning Half-Veelas

2.1. Bird Transformation
Half-veelas cannot transform into birds unlike pure veelas.
2.2. Wand Magic
While pureblood veelas have the innate ability to practice wandless magic, the same remains a learned skill for half-veelas.
