This is a sci-fi/fantasy RP. The Players are young Mages who have been brought to the Academy in order to develop their magical talent and protect their city. They will fight monsters that roam in the wilderness, investigate nefarious plots against King and Country, and so on. But that is all in their future. For now, after a bit of general plot setup, let us have the characters meet up, get to know one another, etc. We can feed them to monsters later.

The plot so far:
The students meet their teacher, Professor Yuki Okamoto, and have their first few days of instruction.

About a week into their Academy life, they are unexpectedly sent out on a mission to investigate the town of Normaden. They learn that a Witch, a powerful monster that sometimes grows from humans with magical potential, has developed in the region. Their Professor takes on the role of exterminating the Witch itself, leaving the students to handle some of its Familiars. During the students' fight, though, they are unexpectedly brought face to face with an Angel. After a fierce fight, the students are victorious and return to their homes safely.

Back in Uruk, the plots grow thicker. A massive force of Angels has gathered near Babylon, and the head honchos discuss plans of how to deal with the threat. The Academy's Headmaster learns that the Angel that the students encountered was sent by the Chief of the Galileians. What could Chief Herschel be plotting, and why involve these young Mages?

Completely unaware of these plots, the students are assigned another mission: to resolve an incident over who should possess a valuable research subject. They will be escorted and monitored by Essence Parker, one of the academy's Student Council members...

Doctor Selwyn Lowry

Pressurized air whooshed outwards as a massive metal hatch smoothly slid open, releasing the steel titan's occupant. Chief Herschell nodded as he descended the steps, acknowledging the salutes offered up by the other scientists gathered. Doctor Lowry had only nodded rather than saluting, though none gathered were about to criticize him for that.

"All parameters were within expected operational norms. How was it on your end, Sir?" Doctor Lowry spoke as he rolled along beside the Chief, heading back towards the main control room.

”The Heimdallr System was slightly less responsive than I’d like. I’ll make the modifications tomorrow. The test was otherwise a success though.”

"I’m glad to hear it. Still though… Was it really necessary to use Uruk as the target?”

”Hah. Selwyn, of all people, is questioning the morality of the work we do here?” The mocking voice came from a man standing next to the control room. Quite frankly, with hair like that, it was impossible to mistake Doctor Lloyd Hyalina for anyone besides himself.

”How many failures have you racked up in your pursuits, Selwyn? Actually, I suppose the failures are grateful that they were failures. The ‘prototypes’ are the real unlucky ones with you.” Doctor Hyalina gave a wry chuckle as he continued. ”Then again, your ‘prototypes’ make great subjects for me, so I suppose I should be grateful for them.”

"I’m not trying to claim that I’m in the right here. But a few missing people here and there are very different from launching an assault on the center of human civilization. What if the King decides to investigate us?”

”The King suspects nothing.” Confidence practically radiated from Chief Herschell’s smug smile as he spoke. ”Most of those fools don’t. The only one who might give us trouble is that bastard Miyamoto, and even if he connects all the dots, there’s no way he would move against us. He is too obsessed with maintaining the status quo to try rocking the boat by challenging us.”

"I see. Well, that’s a relief. I’d really rather not have Mages breathing down our necks. And besides, I have a good feeling about this latest batch. I think the Pontifex should be quite pleased with Alpha’s reactions to the micronized spiritron particles, and Delta is showing great promise for my own project.”

”By the way, Chief,” Doctor Hyalina looked up from his notes on the experiment that they had just run. ”What should we tell Yamaguchi?”

”Nothing. That girl believes whatever I tell her, so she’ll accept the same excuse that I give the King. Even if she suspects that this incident was planned by us, her conscience won’t acknowledge it.”

”Sounds good. Also, I’ll be starting a new installation on P37 in a few minutes, if you’d care to come to my lab.”

”Lloyd, you know how much I love watching you work. But I’ve got a subsystem to optimize, the Gravigigas’s unveiling to plan, my sister’s birthday to arrange, and an idiot to frame for this incident. I’m swamped.”

”Well, get some rest, Sir.” Doctor Hyalina patted Chief Herschell on the shoulder once or twice. ”Remember, if you haven’t got your health, you haven’t got anything~” With a small smile, Doctor Hyalina turned away from the Chief and moved towards an elevator a little ways away. As if queued by the man with the bizarre hairdo’s departure, a popping sound filled the room, heralding the arrival of a young girl.

Yune
4hgmd9Q.png

”Ah, Yune. Did you have fun?”

”Yup!” Yune ran over to Chief Herschell and gave him a big hug. ”I played shiritori with Londo, and had lots of yummy food! Did you know? You can play a special game of shiritori where you make things appear and disappear! Its suuuuper fun!”

”I see, that does sound fun. We should play it sometime.” With the way Chief Herschell was patting Yune on the head while being hugged by her, one would normally never guess that he had been responsible for the sudden appearance of monster-filled Gates in Uruk just a few minutes ago.

”Ehehe~” Yune laughed happily as she enjoyed the hand on her hair. But then she remembered. ”Ah right. Nii-chan, you called me because you want to go back to Uruk, right?”

”Yes. The King will almost certainly be calling an emergency meeting to deal with the situation, so I ought to be there. I’ll be out late, so you should go home and go to sleep after dropping me off. And don’t forget to brush your teeth.”

”-Kaaaay.” Another *POP* sounded through the area, and the pair disappeared without a trace.

"Those two are as strange as always.” Doctor Lowry murmured to himself as his boss vanished from his field of view. Well, there was nothing to be gained by dwelling on their oddities. "Alright everyone! Let’s pack up and shut down. And don’t come in in the morning; we’ll all be too tired to do much anyway.” Amidst the somewhat exhausted-sounding cheers from the others nearby, Doctor Lowry went about following his own instructions. He may not have a bed like normal humans, but he was looking forward to a well-earned sleep all the same...

Council Room, Royal Palace, Uruk. August 3rd, 199 NWC. 4:00 AM

The doors of the Council Room swung open, courtesy of the guards standing before them, as King Gilgamesh approached. The rest of the council stood and bowed as he entered, and remained as such until he had taken his seat. There was, of course, no need to explain to the council why they had gathered. Indeed, King Gilgamesh didn’t even need to ask for the first person to speak; Headmaster Miyamoto took the initiative himself.

”I personally checked the Circle’s integrity. No anomalies were detected, and no indication of previous anomalies could be observed. According to the Circle, we were never under attack at all.”

King Gilgamesh nodded his acknowledgement of the report. Though frustrating, it was hardly surprising. If the attack had been observable, it would have been prevented.

The Pontifex Maximus was the next to speak up. His face was slightly more flushed than usual, likely due to the stress of the night. ”Heimdallr has, of course, stated that while Gates normally fall under his purview, these ones were not his.”

”From what I have been able to analyze, that seems to be true,” Chief Herschell followed up on Cirillo’s statements without missing a beat. ”As some of you know, Project Gravigigas utilizes an application of Heimdallr’s abilities in order to facilitate movement. It appears that at some point, one of the prototype models was stolen and had its control systems intentionally tampered with to make it go haywire. An investigation into who could have stolen the device is already underway, though it seems that the man taken into custody by the Academy was merely a scapegoat.”

”Ridiculous.” Each syllable from the Prime Minister seemed sharpened with the intent to kill, though it didn’t seem to faze Chief Herschell. ”You’re telling me that with a mere prototype of your device, this much damage was caused? Forget the fact that you somehow allowed one to be stolen, why were you using such technology to begin with?”

”My dear Prime Minister, you do realize we are trying to design the ultimate weapon, no? Granted, not even I considered this particular application of it, but the Heimdallr Device is a critical component of Project Gravigigas and its power. I’m sure we sent a redacted abstract of our plans to Parliament, which you then approved the funding of. And as to it being stolen, there are only some 30-odd members who would have had access to that storage facility, all of whom showed no previous indications of trouble prior to their clearance approval. Not even I can predict everything; that is why research always leads to new futures.”

”Enough.” King Gilgamesh raised his hand, and the room fell silent. ”Chief Herschell, continue your investigation. Headmaster, work with the Chief to adapt the Circle so it can recognize this and similar assaults. Grand General, separate out a portion of your forces and retrain them with an emphasis on urban combat. Pontifex Maximus, tend to your flock. Prime Minister, reapportion funds as necessary for repairs to the city, and prepare a small ceremony for tomorrow morning where we can honor those who put a stop to the crisis.”

”Yes, Your Majesty!” The five others seated around the table answered in unison as King Gilgamesh arose and departed. They then began to disperse as well, parting ways to go about their tasks.

”Ah, Chief Hershell, a moment of your time,” Pontifex Maximus Cirillo called out to Chief Hershell, who in turn waved his Vice-Chief to continue onwards without him. ”I just wanted to ask if you could do something about your sister. She was causing quite the ruckus. Not that I can fault her for her nature, but it would greatly alleviate our worries if we did not have to contend with apocalyptic weather while under assault.”

”My most sincere apologies. I’m afraid that with how suddenly the situation arose, it completely slipped my mind to ask someone to watch over her. Hopefully there will be no next time, but if there is, I shall try my best to remember.”

”Yes, of course, of course. And, how is that thing I consulted you about coming along?”

”Quite well indeed. If progress continues as is, I think you can expect results within the month.”

”Ah, how wonderful! Well then, I shan’t take any more of your time.... I suppose its a bit silly to say ‘May the gods light your way’ to you, so I will merely wish you well.”

”The sentiment is appreciated all the same. Good night, Pontifex Maximus.” With parting pleasantries exchanged, the two men separated to return to their duties...

At 12:08 PM on August 3rd, all player characters receive a message from Professor Okamoto on their AMB.

King Gilgamesh has requested our class's presence tomorrow morning at 9 AM to honor you all for your service last night. Meet in our classroom at 8 AM. Wear nice clothes. If you don't have any, get some, or if absolutely necessary, maintain your Transformation for the ceremony.

The current time in the thread is now the morning of August 4th, at approximately 8:00 AM.

Setting: Student Council Room, The Academy, 4th of August, 199 NWC 16:58

[OOC note: This was written long ago, before the club went dark. I figured I might as well post it for whomever might be interested in it.]

Saral Spitz

“I swear, if the others are late again, I'll personally strangle them.” As per usual, the student council was pretty dysfunctional. Today, however, Saral was particularly pissed about it. They had some important matters to discuss after the recent invasion, so it was crucial for all members to gather here.

Sona Báthory

“Oh, come on, they've still got a minute or two~” As was equally common, Sona was balancing out Saral with her positive vibes. Some would just call it being an airhead though.

Fenton Trask

“She's right, surely they know better than to be late for something this important.” Fenton was quick to back her up, albeit in the naive way he was known for.

Jun Armstrong

“Hey, does anyone want to go training after this?” Being his usual self, Jun didn't seem to be aware of the tension in the room. He was already bored out of his mind and they hadn't even started yet.

Charon Eszes

Charon glared at him. “Haven't you gotten to fight enough yet?” Sadly enough, she still hadn't developed magic that allowed her to kill someone by sight alone, otherwise she'd be one of he most lethal mages.

Jun was quick to defend himself. “No! This invasion thing only showed how much stronger I should get! I want to handle one of those portals on my own next time!”

Taking Jun more serious than he should, Fenton butted in. “You think there will be another invasion through new portals?”

Jun shrugged. “You never know, better to be prepared, right?”

As he said it, Morana walked in.

Morana Agenent

“H-hi...” With that, she quickly took a seat and tried to turn invisible, despite such an ability not being a part of her repertoire. The others knew better than to address her presence too much.

With only a few seconds remaining, Essence entered the room.

Essence Parker

“Good afternoon.” A good detective was never late, nor was she early. Something along those lines seemed to be what she was going for.

Celestia Mayer von Rothschild

Celestia entered a minute late, but sounded as ominously cheerful as ever. “Hello~”

Saral instantly got up to yell at her, slamming his fists on the table. “You're late!”

Without flinching, Celestia replied. “It definitely seems like it, doesn't it?” It only made Saral angrier.

Trying not to grit through his teeth, Saral mumbled. “I swear I'll...”

Luckily, Sona came to the rescue. “Let's not finish that sentence. Deep breaths, deep breaths~”

Somehow, Saral seemed to calm down, rather than getting further enraged. “Has anyone seen Pythios?”

Saral looked around the room, only to find the seven others shaking 'no' at him or shrugging their shoulders.

Sona Báthory

“Let's just start without him. How about we start by telling each-other what we did? It'll be great to go over before we discuss the more important matters. I'll go first!”

“I teamed up with some of the senior professors! It was pretty great! We had these three really tough opponents to deal with, a trio of bright colored Oni. Anthea and Ianthe had to work overtime, but we managed to keep up with the professors to drive the Oni's back~ One of them nearly got me when it suddenly threw a statue at me, as it went straight through my barrier, and even the laser couldn't fully crush it, but I managed to withstand the rubble. Another of the Oni got away through the portal, but the other two were slain! I guess I'm officially an Oni-slayer now!”

Jun perked up. “Did you land the finishing blow?”

“Eh... no?”

“Hah! Then it doesn't count. I'll be the first of the current student council to slay an Oni, mark my words!”

Another glare and remark from Charon followed. “You'll be the first to die and get your soul core lost.”

“You say that, but I really saved you not that long ago!”

Sona interfered, before it could get out of hand once more. “Right, that reminds me, the two of you and Celestia defended a portal together, right? How did that go?”

“That... it was a gruesome battle indeed.” Jun suddenly seemed to become very serious. “When we arrived at the portal, there was a large herd of these really cute looking sheep, so I went in to pet one of them when it suddenly tried slamming its horns through my chest!”

“I warned you that they'd try doing that.”

“Celestia said it was worth a shot to see if they were peaceful!”

“She just wanted to see you get attacked for trying to pet them.”

A few angry glosses towards Celestia resulted in a “No comment.”

“So, anyway, once we confirmed they were hostile, we had to fight these adorable fluffy sleep by beating them all to death. It was terrible, like, I'd rather just beat up goblins and whatnot, you know? Charon here was merciless though, she was spearing her daggers through them like she was a butcher.”

Celestia supported that claim. “It was quite a sight to behold.”

“You are making too much of a deal out of it, I was just trying to see how I could hit their critical points without ruining any edible meat they might have. We might want to have a barbecue to celebrate getting rid of the portals, after all, right?”

“Yes, and with the profit, we can rebuild some of the damages. I heard your fight against the Oni resulted in quite some buildings being declared uninhabitable, after all.” Celestia turned the conversation back to Sona with a teasing wink.

A little embarrassed, Sona replied. “That was... unavoidable.”

“That's what's wrong with your mindset. Don't deny your mistakes, learn from them to improve. I've defended a portal that kept spewing hoards of undead, coming at us in waves by the hundreds, but good coordination between different classes managed to defeat them all with minimal damage.”

Fenton jumped up at that. “You were bossing around students from all sorts of classes, and even told some to die for you! I've got a lot of complaints from the students in my class about that!”

Saral brushed it off. “The second years are too naive, they haven't learned how to appreciate the results yet.”

Sona interfered once more. “Let's set our differences in tactics aside. Morana, how did your task go?”

“I, eh, I was asked to deal with some of the portals in less populated places, jumping through them to quickly confirm what was on the other side, to deal with it as I could, or to return and report back if I could.”

Fenton had just gotten seated again, but jumped up once more. “You've actually been going through them?”

“Yes, it was easier that way...”

“Let's not think too much of it~ How did you do, Fenton?”

“Things went pretty well, I was in a team with class 1A and some of my fellow second years. We were fending of a portal that had swarms upon swarms of bees coming out of it, but they weren't all that strong. It was pretty chaotic with so many people fighting so many enemies, but we pulled through!”

Just as Fenton finished, Pythios walked in.

“Rejoice, my fellow elites~ I finally finished my masterpiece!” Before anyone could question what he was talking about, he took out a scroll of paper and started to read a poem written in what seemed to be blood.

“The pleasant screams of agony,
A slowly moving death to keep it company,
The green shall turn red, the red will surpass,
Until all will question, what creature it even was!”

Essence was the first to make sense of it. “You've been mutilating goblins?”

“Yes! I've been going from portal to portal to see which one had the most inspiring creatures to deal with. The undead were really boring, they just died in silence, and the sheep weren't really screaming, neither were the bees, but those goblins! Once you start pulling out their nails or carving up their chests, they sometimes squeal and scream like they're human kids! It's amazing!”

Fenton was clenching his fist. ”That's horrible!”

Charon shook her head. “Haven't you gotten used to this creep's weirdness by now?”

Pythios didn't seem bothered by it. “Yes, and one day, you might even learn to appreciate the art behind it!”

Saral interfered this time. “I'll remind you to be careful, or I will slay you and toss your soul core somewhere nobody can find it.”

“You want to keep me all to yourself?”

As Saral was on the verge of getting up, Celestia suddenly decided to mediate. “We're all making sure he doesn't cross any limits, so feel free to calm down~”

“Don't think you're off the hook either. I heard your spirit's been going around trying to get kids to give their blood to you.”

“Which was a very useful thing to have, during the last battle~”

Before Saral could work himself up into a fit of anger again, Sona decided to speak up, directing the conversation towards what actions they wanted to take in the near future.

Almeida

Almeida was surprised by the message from Okamoto. She never really considered their class' efforts all that much more special than that of the others, they just happened to be in the right place in the right time. Besides, it was weird. If someone was powerful enough to cause the entire city to be invaded, why would they have just that old man guarding it all? She had a bigger issue on her mind. They were told to bring 'nice' clothes, and for as nice her clothes were, she knew the common census didn't consider them 'nice enough' for these types of events.

Staying in transformation would probably just make her look like she was trying to brag. Maybe she could dig up her army uniform? She decided against it. She was going to need new clothes, but she wasn't sure where to get them, especially not with half the city in ruins or in panic. Her classmates were too young to ask for help, and she didn't really have any friends her age that she felt comfortable asking for help at such a short notice. She eventually figured she might as well call the one telling them to dress nice, Okamoto herself, who was at least able to suggest some stores that were still open. After consulting the store clerk, she eventually managed to settle on a dress.

MzTdxu9.jpg

Wearing it felt extremely unnatural, and she hoped that sending the bill to the academy wouldn't be too big of an issue. She was told to get something nice to wear, after all. Although out of her comfort zone in this outfit, she ended up walking into the class a little before time.

Lavi

Outfit: Transformation
Interactions: @Elvario [Almeida]

''Oh gosh, I don't wanna, I don't wannaaaaaa!'' Lavi yelled out exhaustingly on top of her bed, looking up at the ceiling tired as she was being forced to go to an awkward family party. One where it felt like it would be rude to say no to, but she absolutely did not feel like going to. Like as if there was instance that you hadn't seen your grandparents for over a year now, so you need to go just so that you have seen them again in some time.

But that overly complicated explanation aside, why was this? Well cause honestly doing anything more then going to classes, so she could half pay actual attention and the other half of the time just kinda play games in head. But this was the big boss himself, she had no clue as to why he decided to arrive, but cool now it means Okamoto is going to more of a pain in the ass then she normally is.

And to make matters worse.... Her partner, the drama queen of a pain whom cares so much about her damn appearance. Wanting to look good all the time, looking all nonchalant when Lavi knew how much time and effort she somtimes puts into this. ''Lavi, the class needs to make a good impression, he is the king. I know that you dislike such things, yet do not worry it will only be for a short amount of time. Please, if you could just wear this dress. You had plenty of time to enjoy yourself after you awakened from your aurashock, playing your games and snacking yesterday.''

''No screw off, I ain't doing this. You can't make me wear a dress, and you certainly aren't getting that makeup on me. Goddamnit switch with me sis, you like this kind of stuff don't you. You want to play dress up and such, then where are you when its your time to shine.''

..... And this continued on for quite a while that early morning, until eventually Lavi came out in her transformation. Not letting herself fall to the pressures of Phoebe. Whilst Phoebe whom had been slightly hectic, gave off a nice and calm vibe once more. Until they arrived upon the classroom. Onto Almeida whom unlike Lavi had much to show for her preparations. Only to be met back with a sleep deprived looking Lavi, whom just looked done for the most part. ''Oh Almeida, a good morning to you. You look splendid, did you choose out the dress yourself?

Ryan Gamaris

8Iisnn9.jpg

Outfit: as seen below, slick back hair

Ryan, as usual was confused. The message from her teacher early in the morning was pretty strange. They weren't the only ones helping, so why just commemorate them? He thought of the girl from the portal and the basement guy. But maybe there were others out there who worked harder. Tidrog reassured Ryan, to just go and see what the king really had to say, maybe there was something else. In any case, after confirming with Okamoto in a brief way, he had to address the 'nice clothes' part. His father, being a fan of suits, had one made for him a while back 'just in case'. "To think you'd be right so soon, Dad" he thought, melancholic, as he put the elaborated pieces of clothing on, "I'll call them later". Usually, he just lets his hair as is, but since this was an important event he decided to style his hair, neatly slicked back. Now all set up, a doubt grew in Ryan. Was he overdoing it? Tidrog didn't have much memory of such social events, so he had no clue. Him aside, Ryan texted the only adult reliable enough near him: Almeida.

--"Hey, good morning Almeida"
--"Would you mind helping me with something"

Luckily, he got a quick reply

--"Sure, what's the matter?"
--"Well"
--"..."
--"Is this too much?"

Ryan then sent her a picture of him posing awkwardly, all dressed up
rfrQiBl.jpg
--"Oh my, are you trying to make all the girls fall for you?"

Ryan struggled to answer, it was embarrassing to be teased, even through text. But he soldiered on.

--"I guess I'm fine then"
--"Thank you! See you in a bit."
--"See you soon!"

Having settled that, Ryan and Tidrog went to the classroom. Where they found some company inside already. "Um... Good morning" "Good morning" said the duo. A transformed Lavi seemed like she wanted no company, so he walked over to Almeida and Phoebe. Tidrog sneakily elbowed Ryan when they saw Almeida, and being not that dumb, Ryan spoke up "Thanks again for earlier Almeida... And, um... you look really pretty."

Almeida

Interactions: Phoebe | Lavi @Giftvi Ryan | Tidrog @Valkan

Almeida was glad to see a familiar face walk in, namely that of Phoebe.“Thanks, you're looking as graceful as always yourself.” Almeida couldn't say the same about Lavi, as she was just transformed. She also looked pretty tired. “Your look tired, are you feeling okay?”

“Good morning to you two as well!” Abstain from triggering any hidden 'ara ara' she might possess, Almeida merely thanked Ryan. “Thanks, although I'll admit this feels way out of my comfort zone. I can't remember the last time I wore something like this.”

Badaboom. Rainer appeared. Where he was or what was his purpose? Irrelevant. Sleep. Yes. Gotta sleep and hope this specific point in time never gets brought up again.

It was morning. Rainer was praying to his oh so beloved goddess. Not a care in the world, until the time for reckoning had come. By "time for reckoning" I meant he got the AMB message, obviously. Rainer tried his gosh darn hardest to read it, succeeding somewhat nicely. He didn't understand just 2 words, which is pretty good. Now, there was a phrase that was absolutely interesting. "nice clothes". Well, it also said they can simply use transformations.

After an unknown amount of time, he had finally arrived, in his Sunday best, looking absolutely dashing.
vvKoe7H.png
He didn't know what this party was supposed to be for, but he would get to meet King G-... Guildesh?... A king..! Which might be pretty neat.
In any case, he'd wander around the place for a bit, looking around, before going to the place of people he recognized, that being Almeida, Ryan and pinkie.

"Hello there."

====================================================================

Hibiscus rolled over in her bed, onto her side, staring at Lyka, who was in turn staring at her. They both sighed, for the same reason, but also different reasons.

Hibiscus was still tired of socializing from yesterday, after getting dragged around by Londo to do stuff, and then in turn helping him with his own problems.

Lyka had sighed because she simply didn't want to socialize.

Hibiscus got up from her bed anyways, went to go take a bath, then returned, her hair slightly damp. Neither of them said a word as Hibiscus rummaged through her stuff.

Finally, Lyka broke the silence, "Ugh. I'll go, but I'm not gonna be saying anything. I absolutely hate having to interact with the people in your class."

Hibiscus nodded, taking out the dress she had planned to use, then stripped, and put on the dress. It was slightly uncomfortable, as Hibiscus didn't like wearing it, but it was much better than a transformation. Lyka wondered briefly where she would fit in that dress, before deciding to just hide in Hibiscus's hair, which she did so, "Alright, let's get this fucking mess over with..." Lyka said, and Hibiscus nodded.

After leaving the room, and walking through the halls a bit, Hibiscus found herself in the classroom, where Rainer, Almeida, Lavi, and Ryan were already there.

HPeKwXk.jpg

Hibiscus waved a hand towards the class, avoiding Rainer like the plague (Nevermind, I forgot Americans don't do that), and made her way to Almeida, Lavi, and Ryan, ignoring Rainer, "Hi there everyone! You look so pretty Almeida, and you look amazing Ryan!" She said, complimenting the two in nice clothing, "You came transformed Lavi? It really fits you!" Hibiscus said that, not wanting to offend Lavi, but she also didn't say anything about Rainer.

After a long day of stuff, Londo finally had a day to show off his impeccible talents and skills! Hopefully... Maybe not, but Londo still had to try. After he and Alice took a shower, Londo stated his intent to transform, transforming into his normal transformed transformation.

Alice scoffed, "Are you REALLY going in that outfit?" To which Londo shrugged, "Dunno, I don't have anything else to wear. Your shopping for clothing left me in the red for money!"

Alice crossed her arms, "True, but then again that didn't matter."

"Wait, why?"

"Nevermind, I mispoke, let's go."

Londo nodded, still wondering why alice said that, and left the room with her, heading towards their class.

Once there, Londo announced his glorious presence, while Alice leaned against the wall, silent, "Hello my fellow classmates! Londo, the GREAT!, has arrived! In usual amazing attire!"

Rainer Gottwaldt

Feeling tired from the shenanigans from earlier, Ryan slept way later than usual. He took a long, cold shower to try and shake off the sleep once he woke up. It didn't quite work, as Ryan still felt somewhat sleepy. Tidrog, being tired himself, suggested going for coffee in a quite late breakfast. Ryan agreed, so they ventured towards the cafeteria, after making quite sure their room door was properly locked. Once they arrived at their destination, Ryan opted for a good ol' BLT, and coffee with milk, while Tidrog settled with a larger mug of black coffee. They both sat in a free table, and without exchanging words, worked their way through their meals.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After coming back from certain things that he was doing earlier, which are not particularly important, he went to the cafeteria for some lunch. At the cafeteria, he ordered himself some boiled potatoes, some pork cutlets and of course orange juice and a glass of water and tried to find a good table to sit at, which he did relatively easily, upon seeing Ryan. He walked over to Ryan and said: ”Hello there!” whilst taking a seat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryan was slowly munching on his sandwich, as he noticed a familiar figure approaching. He put his sandwich down and briefly waved at Rainer as he said "Hi, Rainer" with a tired smile. Ryan took a gulp of his coffee, cleared his throat and asked "How have you been?" considering he hadn't seen him since his… Incident at the 1A dinner, Ryan wanted to check up on him.
Meanwhile, Tidrog silently continued to slowly sip on his drink, acknowledging Rainer with a nod. His usual patience was still to recover, so he hoped Rainer didn't bother him.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

How was Rainer? Well now. Silly questions as usual from Ryan. ”I’m quite good! A lot of stuff happened! I know what it feels to die now, I also got banned from the library and know how it feels to become stone! It’s pretty silent.” Rainer stated proudly. These experiences surely will come in handy in the future. His spirit then climbed out from beneath the collar of his jacket? Shirt? Rainer took it and put it in the glass of water. It gave a relaxed bawl as it chilled in the glass. Rainer wasn’t sure exactly what to say to Ryan’s spirit, considering it looked like some sort of Demon General or something.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tidrog's left eye twitched upon hearing yet another kid speaking casually about death, and to make it worse, his own! But he decided to not let it get to him. He already knew about Rainer's particular personality from previous encounters with him. As for Ryan, taking the gulp of coffee before asking was a good move, he didn't spit it all in Rainer's face. "Where do I even begin..." Ryan took a deep breath, then spoke "How did you die, Rainer? You sound like you enjoy… Never mind"

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hook, line and sinker. He managed to get Ryan’s attention as planned. Rainer was more than glad to begin his short tale! Before he could even begin his spirit gave a bawl, which sounded a lot more like a really heavy sigh. The withered plant things’ face rearranged into a “face” full of disappointment as it recalled the event. ”Well, I did as you said and joined the tournament! I had to fight this really pretty girl! So when our aura broke, I just couldn’t stop! Well, neither could she! We ended up getting quite messy by the end of it! I think I’m going to marry her! She seriously pierced my heart with her gaze! Well, without it actually, since I poked her eyes… But you get the point! I don’t think I’ve ever had that much fun in my life~!”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryan cringed a little upon seeing the little plant react to his question, if even the spirit didn't enjoy it, it must have been awful… It started off really badly. His damn 'joke' caused Rainer to die. Ryan's expression grew grim as Rainer continued. As he translated Rainer's explanation to 'I fought to very extreme and bloody circumstances once my aura broke', and he was pretty sure his opponent hurt his heart, killing him. Ryan sighed, starting to understand Tidrog's frustration earlier, and cold silence now first hand. "Enjoying fighting is ok, but... Look, Rainer… You… shouldn't enjoy death. Not even yours, even... if you can be brought back… " Ryan thought he might as well rip all of the band-aid at once. He had to address it eventually "...Let alone lives that can't be brought back, like non-mages… or animals..." Ryan evidently didn't have the slightest clue on how to break this down, and to Rainer, for that matter… but that didn't stop him from trying.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rainer was utterly baffled by the things Ryan was spouting. Guess Rainer would need to enlighten Ryan here, otherwise bad things are gonna happen in the future, like scary things. ”"Death is overrated." is something I've heard." Rainer acted smug. Cancel the enlightenment part. Rainer is not capable of granting it yet.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tidrog was on a bad mood. His encounter with that student council brat and his idiotic spirits from earlier, and a following bad sleeping attempt drained his usual politeness and friendliness quite a bit. And apparently this was about to go as earlier…
Tidrog slammed his free fist against the table, which made some heads turn, while he was fiercely glaring at the little creep. "Watch. Your. Mouth. Brat." As he spoke, Rainer and any nearby person would start to feel some sort of pressure, while Tidrog's body produced translucent, purple flames running across his body, and disappearing to give place to more flames. They emmited no heat, though.
Ryan was once again surprised by Tidrog's reaction, death was certainly a sensitive topic for him. Though Ryan didn't need much thought to see why, he was also displeased by Rainer's words. Albeit, not as much as Tidrog. "Whoever told you that is wrong. Death is something that, at the very least, should be respected." frustration slightly breaching the filter Ryan tried to put in his voice.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The weird anime Demon General suddenly… Oh. Oh… So this is how it’s gonna be. The demon actually went there. Alright, Rainer had to get his game on after this insult. ”No. I. Will. Not. Since. Free. Speech. Is. A. Thing. Probably.” Whoever this Demon Lord wannabe was, Rainer wasn’t having none of it. Ryan was backing the demon up as well. I guess Rainer had to show him the truth. ”Death is something important if you actually end up dying. I mean, I “died”, but here I am. Has anything changed in the world? No. See? Death isn’t important.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tidrog pinched the bridge of his nose, heavily sighing upon hearing Rainer's retort. "Just because you can say things, doesn't mean you should, kid." he said, still showing signs of anger, but he kept his aura in check. This was an issue with Rainer, not others nearby, after all.
As for Ryan, he shook his head. "You know we are the exception, not the rule. For most things in this world, death is permanent... And it causes pain and suffering to others, it's not just a matter of the one who dies..." Once again, Ryan was trying his best to give a satisfying answer to Rainer. Considering he comes from a bad family, he avoided the mention of such.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rainer thought for a bit, after hearing the demon out and had to agree with him on that, surprisingly enough. ”Touzhué.” After all, there were indeed people in this world that should spread their opinions far, far less. Like most of the citizens of Uruk in regards to religious beliefs.

Rainer couldn’t get himself to agree to Ryan whatsoever. Truly, Rainer will have to become a sensei one day to educate all these lost souls in Uruk. ”... Since there is already an exception, isn’t it neat to think that it may become common after a long enough time? Espeshially something like this."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Tidrog, having finished his coffee by now, and hearing Rainer's response, stood up. "Excuse me… I'll be outside" He was done with this brat, who was close to awaken a sleeping beast. Not as much as the one earlier, but still close.
Ryan sighed again, almost impressed on the twisted view of the world Rainer had. "It's not… Actually, it's quite the opposite. The world would be way more filled with beings like us… we've always been the exception, and I doubt that changes… Things don't turn magical outta nowhere commonly either."

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

With that; Rainer had obtained victory. His foe had ran away, like he should. Rainer was satisfied. Ryan was still trying to argue, but alas, Rainer’s attention span was not great enough to continue this conversation, as after the edgelord antagonist had left, Rainer stuffed his face full of food once more, not even really hearing half of what Ryan said. ”Well, anyhow, he’s gone, we can finally talk in peace, huh.” Rainer got some more food down into his stomach, before continuing. ”So how did the tournament go for you?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryan was nearing his limit too, as Tidrog was usually his example to follow. Him quitting on Rainer made him question how much he was willing to be patient with his fellow student. He got particularly ticked off with the way Rainer addressed his spirit friend. "I bet you wouldn't like to be treated that way..." he said, expecting either a dismissive answer, a strange answer, or both. Regardless, he continued to eat his sandwich. Purposefully ignoring Rainer's next question.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rainer wondered what Ryan meant by that exactly. ”Huh? It doesn’t matter what I would like or not, that’s how it’s gonna go either way.” Rainer sighed. ”Honestly, you keep saying the weirdest things, Ryan.” Were these bizarre mindsets the norm for people living close to nature? Scary thought.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A dismissive answer… Right he was. Ryan had finished his sandwich by now, and ignoring Rainer wasn't really going to get him anywhere, so he took a swig of his coffee and answered "They're not weird, Rainer. They just seem weird to you..." Ryan sighed and took a larger swig of his coffee, finishing it "When I told you that I wanted to be your friend, I wanted to teach you how the real world is. Get you out of your twisted reality… But at this pace, you'll just become a full blown creep, like that Pythios..." some anger could be felt as that name left his mouth. Back to the conversation though, maybe indirectly calling someone a creep wasn't the best of ideas… But with Rainer, Ryan wouldn't be surprised if he felt flattered or something.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah, at long last Ryan started to understand. ”Yes! That’s exactly right. I’m a weirdo to them and they are weirdos to me.” The little plant creature climbed to the top of the cup it was in and was now standing atop of it, looking around. This school freaked it out. As everything had for the past few days. It was originally a house plant. Yet Rainer’s taking it along everywhere. At least his pockets are comfortable and it can chill there most of the time, but still. The plant wondered if it would ever be able to return to the soil and chill 24/7… ”Pythios? Is he similar to me?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once again, Ryan nailed it with his guess about Rainer… somewhat. Rainer seemed more self aware than Ryan had imagined. Ryan was briefly distracted by the small spirit getting out of his bath, so it took him a hot moment to answer. Ryan wasn't pleased at the thought of Rainer getting ideas from that creep, let alone his spirits, but he was too tired already. His mind wasn't up to the task of helping Rainer be less creepy at the moment, so it gave in. "Yes… I had a pretty similar conversation with him earlier… Sort of..." anger once again slipped into his words somewhat.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Interesting. Rainer might be able to compete in the annoyance factor with someone. It might even be a battle on the same level as Door vs Rainer. However… That mattered not right now. There were even more important matters to discuss with the person in front of him. ”Is coffee tasty? I’ve heard it’s like drinking mud.” Rainer’s focus had already shifted, so the previous topics were of little importance. Finding out whether or not coffee was tasty was pretty high priority stuff. After all, drinking coffee basically made you into an adult. Anthy, on the hand, began moving towards Rainer’s plate, curious about the human food, so it ate some pork. Anthy visibly recoiled after taking a small piece and eating it, however, it continued to eat it in slight disgust. It had to establish dominance against the meat based lifeforms after all. Rainer too had some more food, until there were only some minor scraps left, for Anthy to feast on, which it began doing.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rainer switched gears almost magically, for the nth time… Going from interest in Pythios, to coffee. It was a welcome change, for once. Ryan stopped himself from finishing his mug with a slight hesitation, as if fearing what he was about to do "It depends on the type, and what you add to it… Here, try mine. See what you think of it yourself" with some good will remaining to share with Rainer, he smiled as he offered his mug for Rainer to try. If he were to try it. Rainer would find the bitterness mostly taken away by the sugar and the flavor of the coffee complimented by the milk, without completely drowning the flavor of the coffee with it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Coffee, the amazing substance that differentiated child and man. One of the most addictive substances known to man. And Rainer was now in a position to obtain it. So he accepted Ryan’s offer almost immediately, as if expecting him to treat him to it and drank…

gulp

Gulp

grughhlp

Rainer had not once in his life tasted something so horrid. It felt like his tongue was trying to tie itself into a noose to hang itself with. His throat felt bitter as all hell. The taste was shifting constantly to put it off, so it felt like drinking tea with putrid yogurt, while you were wasting away from sea sickness. Rainer entered a state of shock.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ryan's smile turned to concern, as Rainer, more than drinking coffee, looked like he was drinking poison. Ryan quickly took the mug away from him, panicked. Rainer looked stunned, and certainly not in a good way. Ryan examined him, but other than the shock the flavor caused him, probably. He took Rainer by the shoulders and lowered to his eye level. "Hey! Are you alright? Do you need to go to the nurse? " looking panicked.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

”I want to die.” Rainer proclaimed staring deep into Ryan’s soul like some ghoul with the eyes as black as the abyss itself. ”That was absolutely horrific.” Rainers’ will to live was abolished. Destroyed. Neutralized. Erased. Rainer got back to his senses after his wonderful spirit screeched at him for a bit. ”I’m fine.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In any other situation, Ryan would have panicked further… But this was Rainer. Was he doing yet another one of his weird 'pranks', which weren't even pranks to him, just Rainer being Rainer. Ryan tried his damn best to ignore his immensely creepy stare, to check on him. Again, he seemed mostly fine, but that stare told another story. Was he really poisoned? His words soothed him slightly. It was just him being very shocked, very shocked apparently. Thankfully, Ryan didn't have to act to reset Rainer to his usual self. A screech from his peculiar spirit did the trick. After hearing he was fine from Rainer himself, Ryan sat back and relaxed a little. Saying nothing else to the boy. He was tired.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rainer tried to finish his meal as fast as possible afterwards, trying to get the disgusting taste out of his mouth with food, which worked surprisingly well. After finishing his meal, Rainer decided to ask Ryan a small question. ”Hey, wanna help me learn magic one day? I feel like it’d be fun to learn that stuff with you!”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seeing Rainer's reaction to the coffee made Ryan subconsciously lose interest in what remained of it. Setting the mug aside, Ryan watched as the kid in front of him wolfed down what remained of his food. At this point, Ryan felt quite tired of talking. Who knew what crazy thing Rainer would come up with next. While thinking of a way to get out without being rude, Rainer spoke up. "I, um, I am no teacher… But we can practice together, if you want. Now…" Ryan took that as an opportunity. "I want to go get some rest. So I'll be leaving now, later. " Ryan said, somewhat dryly. Getting up, and most likely leaving.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After Rainer’s question Ryan, well, quite frankly wussed out like a bitch. He just didn’t want to handle the chad that is Rainer apparently. Understandable though. ”It’s a promise then!”

Now that Ryan was leaving and since Rainer had finished his meal, he too would leave, mainly to wander around campus and explore the place. ”Alrighty then! Bye-bye!”

Professor Okamoto

Professor Okamoto entered the classroom, dressed in her usual suit-and-skirt combination and carrying a small paper bag. After taking a look around at the gathered students and giving an exasperated sigh at seeing Rainer’s appearance, she set the bag on her podium at the front of the classroom.

”Everyone, come up and grab one of these lanyards. The guards at the palace won’t let you in otherwise. Return to your seats once you have one.”

After giving every student in the classroom a chance to come forward, Professor Okamoto continued to speak. ”The ceremony will likely be brief. Stay respectful at all times, and speak only to answer. There will be reporters; do not speak to them or allow yourself to be stopped by them. Are there any questions before we depart?”

Outfit: Transformation
Interactions: Almeida, Hibiscus, Tidrog & Ryan

A subtle nod came from Phoebe, as the ends of her mouth curled up slightly, showing of a smile. ''Oh you mean so? Thank you for the compliment. I had wished I were able to dress myself in an outfit such as yours.'' As for Lavi, gaze lowered to the floor in an awkward pose making her more reminiscent of the Lavi Almeida had come to know at the beginning. ''Eh? Her eyes adjusted their attention as her head turned to Almeida's direction. ''No. No I am not doing great right now. I do not like this kind of stuff.''

As Ryan and Tidrog came into the room, Phoebe did a small nod to Tidrog in particular as she replied. ''A good morning to the both of you. Did you have a good sleep?''

Her eyes shifted once more at the entrance of Rainer, a boy whom she had met briefly at times since her rather sudden wake up, but honestly she couldn't care less about whatever their deal was. Nor did this defeated look change from the partially sarcastic sounding comment of Hibiscus, the awfully shy girl whom seemed like she was doing it on her purpose to get more attention. But from whom, not like there was any guy of note in her or her sister's opinion. ''Could you sound less fake? I just wish to get it over with.''

Phoebe seemed to be about to push a nudge towards Lavi for her comment, before pulling herself back. Looking towards Miss Okamoto with her entry to the classroom instead. 'A good morning to you as well Teacher Okamoto, Lavi could you grab such please?

Scratching behind her right ear at a rather anxious pace unconsciously she sighed before she went forward to the front of the classroom to accept her Lanyard and this time heading directly towards the desk she always sat at.

August 3rd, 199 NWC, 11:00 AM

(The morning after the incident with the Gates)

TL;DR: Hibiscus and Londo try to help each other with some of their problems.

Hibiscus Oswald

Londo Sperry THE GREAT!

Londo was currently sprawled out on the bed that belonged to Lyka, Hibiscus’s fairy companion, while Hibiscus was sleeping peacefully in her own, on her side facing where Londo was snoring away. After the events of the previous night, you’d think someone would just sleep the whole day away, but these two had other plans…

Hibiscus groggily opened her eyes, her first sight of the day being Londo, with a hand under his shirt that was seeming there to scratch something, but was too lazy to move it back out, sprawled around the entire bed on top of the covers. Hibiscus sat up straight looking around in a panic wondering what Londo was doing there, before calm set in, realizing her had been there the night before. Lyka wasn’t there, of course, as she went back to the dorm with Alice, Londo’s spirit. Hibiscus quietly got out of bed, glancing at Londo, who still seemed to be peacefully snoring there without a care in the world, and gathered some things to go take a bath.

While in the bath, Hibiscus thought about last night, and how the entire set of events was probably put into motion by her… It was disheartening, and if Londo had not been there last night.... Hibiscus sighed, then got out of the bath getting dressed and going back to her room, where Londo was just now starting to awaken.

He looked just as groggy as Hibiscus felt, gave her a small wave, and got out of bed, walking towards the door, “I’ll be right back.” He said, going to his own room to get some stuff needed for an early-morning shower. Once he opened the door to his room, he saw Alice still drooling on her pillow, and Hibiscus’s fairy, Lyka, sprawled out on Londo’s pillow. He decided not to say anything to them for now, and just got some stuff to take a bath.

Once he left the room, and went to shower, Londo had a thought about what to do, “What to do, what to do?...” Because along the way, he was already hearing rumors about how the new librarian girl was responsible for everything. He knew from last night- er, this morning from what Hibiscus had said, that she was the cause for all this. Although Londo didn’t think it was really her fault, she still seemed like she was the sole cause of it.

Londo nodded to himself in the baths, then got up to dry off and get changed, heading back towards Hibiscus’s room. He knocked once on the door, and upon hearing a weak, “C-Come in…” Londo opened the door and went to go sit down on the bed next to Hibiscus, where she was currently moping at, staring at the ground.

Londo thought for a moment, and said, “Alright! Let’s go!” He announced, grabbing Hibiscus’s arm, much to her dismay, “W-Wait! Stop it! Let go! Where are you taking me?!” while struggling to get out of his grasp.

Londo did let go, which caused her to fall backwards onto the bed, and held her arm where Londo had grabbed it, “I’m taking you to apologize, or talk it out, whatever! You need to talk about what happened last night with the librarian, and the headmaster.

Hibiscus shook with fear, “B-b- I can’t… If I go now, t-then they’ll…” She mumbled, drifting off.

Londo sighed, and said, “Hey, you can sit here forever and mope about it, or you can do something.” Not very helpful advice, but it seemed to give Hibiscus some pause, “Anyways, if you think it’s all your fault, at least talk about it and apologize, although I don’t think you’re the one to blame…

Hibiscus thought about it for a moment, and sighed, her shoulders sinking, “Y-You’ll be there with me, right?...” She asked, not wanting to be alone today. She COULD have asked Lyka for help, but then again, Lyka most likely wouldn’t be helpful in this current situation.... “A-Alright,” She said, before Londo could reply, “I’ll go.

Londo nodded and gave her a thumbsup, “Alright! Now first stop, the library! Assuming the old hag is there!” He said, to which Hibiscus gasped, hoping that the hag didn’t have super hearing to smite Londo.

With that, Londo and Hibiscus made their way to the library, hoping to find the librarian there…

After some walking, and hopefully no gazes and stares from other students who knew that Hibiscus was the new librarian hire, they went into the library, looking for the librarian that seemed to have disdain for anyone named Rainer.

As the two young Mages entered the Academy Library, they had no trouble finding the girl they were seeking. Her desk was fairly obvious, after all. Though she appeared to have had a long night of her own; she had fallen asleep in her chair, an open book still resting in her lap. She seemed to also have a tendency to mumble things in her sleep, though it was rather difficult to understand her words from a reasonable standing distance.

---

Hibiscus started to make her way to the librarian, but upon seeing her asleep in her chair, she turned around, grabbed the front of her skirt, and walked away, not wanting to disturb her. Londo reached out an arm as she passed by, grabbed hers, and spun around quickly with her in tow, facing her back towards the librarian.

Hibiscus shuffled a bit, but didn’t leave, finally speaking, “I-I really don’t want to do this… I still feel ashamed…

Londo shrugged, “Either that, or you stand around brooding all day not improving.

Hibiscus breathed some air out her nose, then walked towards the librarian’s desk. Taking a deep breath, and looking back at Londo who gave her two thumbs up, Hibiscus looked at the librarian and said, “H-Hello? Miss Librarian? I need to speak to you…

”Mmmgh,” Chiseko twitched a little as Hibiscus tried to gently wake her with words. In a louder voice than before, she could be heard replying ”Gingerbread is the foundation of the Original Four.” Ok, so maybe she wasn’t actually replying to Hibiscus.

---

Hibiscus seemed a bit downtrodden, and was about to just give up when Londo yelled in a louder voice, “YO TEACH, TIME TO WAKE UP!” Which made Hibiscus jump a bit from the sudden increase in volume.

”HWAH!” Chiseko bolted upright, book tumbling from her lap as she was startled awake. Her eyes blinked furiously as they tried to focus on what woke her up. After a moment or two of lag from her brain still trying to wake up, she was able to focus enough on Londo. ”Mmph, you can’t shout like that, you know? We’re in a library!” Though she seemed to be trying to chastise Londo, her face seemed more pouty than furious.

---

Londo and Hibiscus could only think ‘How adorable’, before Hibiscus cleared her throat and spoke up, “M-Miss Librarian! I-I wanted to speak to you… About....” Hibiscus took a moment to gather her thoughts, “A-About what happened earlier this morning… I wanted to, uh, talk about it with you and the headmaster.

Hibiscus was silent for only a moment before speaking up again, “O-oh. S-Sorry for waking you up…

---

Chiseko Aedelmaer Guérin

Chiseko shuffled around as Hibiscus spoke, picking up the book she had dropped and adjusting her desk. She also tried straightening her clothes a bit, but considering she basically wore pajamas around the clock, there wasn't a whole lot of improvement to be found there.

As Chiseko finished quickly adjusting things, a red crystal appeared in the air next to her. Rather than shooting out petrifying beams though, this one seemed to just reheat the tea on her desk from last night. Caffeine supply now secured, she took a sip from her mug. "So? What did you want to talk about?"

---

Hibiscus slightly tilted her head at the way the librarian was acting. She seemed awfully different from a few days ago…

Hibiscus sighed to get all of the anxiety out of her system. She quickly glanced around to make sure noone else was there or within earshot, and then said, “W-Well… I wanted to talk about that grimoire, and the stuff that happened this morning. You said how, uh, how there were seals or something right? I’m sure you know about it already, but yesterday we saw a girl who said I helped release her and her mistress… I-Isn’t there something we can do about it?! She confirmed it was MY fault for the invasion! I-If I hadn’t touched that grimoire….” Hibiscus said, trailing off, not knowing what to say next.

---

Chiseko glanced at Londo, silently inquiring as to whether he had given Hibiscus some edibles or something. "Did you not see the news this morning? King Gilgamesh said it was a terrorist attack caused by some mad scientist guy that hated Uruk."

---

Hibiscus stared at the librarian for a second before responding, “T-Terrorist attack?!

Londo shrugged in the background, “Well that IS true, anyone causing terror can be classified as a terrorist.

W-Wait! It may have been someone else that coordinated the attack, but the girl that came from the portal said it was thanks to me that her and her mistress was freed! That’s still my fault! I had a part in it!

Accidentally had a part in it.” Londo said, stressing the ‘accidental’ part of the sentence to show that Hibiscus wasn’t a willing participant.

---

"If she said that she had already managed to release her Mistress, then she was bluffing," Chiseko sighed as she spoke, or maybe it was more of a yawn. "There's no way that idiot bird could've already gathered enough power to brute force all the seals, and she's not the type to think of faster methods."

---

Hibiscus stared at the librarian and blinked to show confusion, while Londo tilted his body to the right to look around Hibiscus, “Uhhh. Did you say something about how she’s not the type to think of faster methods?...” He asked, while Hibiscus nodded, agreeing with him, “Y-Yea… How do you know what kind of type she is?!

Londo shrugged, “Either you know her, or you read about her, seeing as you’re in a library. Which is it?

If you read about her, please let me see where you did!

This one was very clearly a sigh, though Chiseko certainly still looked tired enough to yawn. "With Lord Omoikane's help, I was able to finish deciphering the grimoire. The prisoner it refers to was a powerful vampire that roamed the land some 80 years ago. She and her three primary servants caused all manner of trouble in the outer reaches of the kingdom, since their powers allowed them to command many monsters. Eventually though, the Mages of that era were able to seal them away in a special prison that floats between what's left of the borders of Terra and Gaea. The vampire herself was sealed in the deepest level, with her servants in the outer layers.

"Of her three primary servants, only one was a girl, and she was also the one in the outermost layer of the prison. She's a Spirit known as a 'night sparrow', and a bizarrely powerful one at that. That said, she was also well-known as being far from the brightest bulb around, and she generally preferred to use brute force to solve her issues. Assuming that the person you ran into was indeed connected to the grimoire, it could only have been the bird-brain herself. And since we haven't heard about towns being wiped off the face of the earth or any major power plants being taken over, it's safe to assume that she has not made nearly enough progress to have released her Mistress yet."

---

Hibiscus’s face was blank as she stared at the librarian, “Ah… So… It was a lie? She just lied to me?...

On one hand, Hibiscus was extremely relieved, but on the other…

W-Well, even if that’s true, she still thanked me for helping her… I still had a hand in-

Gaaah!” Londo said, throwing his hands into the air, “She’s saying it doesn’t matter, Hibby! I think… Either way, thinking about it will get you nowhere. The librarian said bird lady didn’t have the power to release the mistress yet, and if you hadn’t touched that book, then she probably would have gone for it anyways to help herself out! If anything, what you did was better for us, since we got the grimoire able to be deciphered and everything! Right Miss Librarian?” Londo said, trying to get confirmation from the source.

"Well no, the grimoire was an autonomous release mechanism designed by the second servant to activate after a few years so it could start breaking the seals. If it had never been released, then it would probably have taken another century or so for the prison seals to degrade far enough for an escape attempt to be made."

---

Hahaha Just forget what she said Hibby-” Londo said, moving in between her and the librarian and waving his arms around, “Point is, it would have happened anyways, so no point in worrying!” He said, while Hibiscus just seemed a bit more down.

I guess…” She said, although she didn’t fully believe it.

Londo, noticing her being down, replied, “Well, let’s just put a pin in it! You wanted to talk to the head honcho right?” To which Hibiscus nodded, “Good! Then let’s go!

Ah-” Hibiscus spoke up, “B-Before we go. Miss Guerin, when did you want me to start working in here?

---

Chiseko Aedelmaer Guérin

"Mm, just drop by whenever you feel like working. There's always something to be done."

---

Hibiscus nodded, and said, “O-Ok! I’ll come back later today then! I have to take care of something first!” Hibiscus said, giving a small wave before leaving the library with Londo, who spoke up and said, “Ah, so now we head to the headmaster’s office!

Hibiscus shook her head, “Nope! I want to help YOU out now! With your girl trouble after you uh… Smacked that one girl on the butt…

Ah.” Londo replied, “Uh, I don’t think that’s-

Londo-” Hibiscus said, turning back to stare at him, “You made me go back and talk my problems out, now it’s your turn.

Londo scratched the back of his head nervously, “Yea, but, I already did, and-

Hibiscus squinted her eyes, “And you’re going to do it again! Until your apology gets through to her head!

Y-yea, but-

No butts!” Hibiscus said, grabbing Londo’s arm and dragging him through the halls.

It was around 11:45, which was about the time people ate lunch at, so Hibiscus, with an unwilling Londo, walked through the halls until they made their way into the cafeteria, looking for the mage that Londo had fought in the 2 versus 2 tournament.

---

Among the many faces gathered in the cafeteria, there were a few that Londo recognized. One in particular stuck in his mind as having been seated at the table with Emberly and the other girls last time. She seemed to be sitting alone at her table, munching away at a salad. The Academy cafeteria wasn't exactly hailed as the best dining spot in all of Uruk, but usually its food was at least decent. The girl wore a rather apathetic-looking expression as she ate though.

Londo looked around, noticing the girl from before, but shrugged and said, “Welp, she isn’t here. I guess we can’t-” But Hibiscus grabbed his arm and started walking towards the table he saw his eyes linger at for a second, which must have been the girl Londo had to apologize to. She pushed his back and shoved him towards the table, which Londo was slightly confused at, “Uhhh…” Londo said, looking around, “Is Caoihme around?

Hibiscus’s eyes widened, “W-Wait, that isn’t the girl you need to apologize to?

Londo shrugged, “No, I told you she wasn’t here.” he said, sighing.

The girl looked up as Londo began to speak, staring at him for a moment to try and recall where she had seen him before. ”Caoimhe? Ah, you are that boy… euh, the word, le pervertir, hein? She is gone to visit her famille.”

---

Londo shrugged to Hibiscus, who glared at the girl, “Hey, Londo isn’t a pervert, he’s just... ” she paused, trying to find the right word, “Ok he can be pretty dumb sometimes.

Hey!

But he’s a good guy, I swear!” Hibiscus said, trying to convince the other girl, but Londo just put a hand on Hibiscus’s shoulder and shook his head, “Look, she isn’t here. I told you she needs a bit of time, although-” Londo looked at the girl whose name he didn’t know, “Can you tell Caoihme if she wants to hear my apology, that she can just seek me out? I don’t want to bother her anymore now.
” he asked of the girl who was alone.

---

???
rvlyZhw.png
ygblCQ7.png

”Bon. I shall tell her if I see her.” The girl didn’t seem to care much about Hibiscus’s claims that Londo was just an idiot instead of a bad guy. Then again, she didn’t seem to care much about Londo being called a pervert either.

---

Londo nodded, gave a small wave to the girl, then led Hibiscus to another part of the cafeteria, namely, the place where you got the food itself, “Welp, that certainly was a day, what’d’ya say we have something to eat instead? If you don’t have anything else going on that is.

Hibiscus didn’t want to leave it at that, but she didn’t really have much choice, and it seemed like Londo had tried once before at least. Maybe he was right, and it was best to leave her be at this moment, so she nodded, and they both ordered lunch.

Nothing much was said over lunch, just a silent meal, neither knowing what to talk about exactly. Finally, Londo spoke up, “So, when are you planning to work in the library?

Hibiscus thought about it for a moment, then replied, “Hmm, I was thinking today, better to start now and learn more about the books so nothing bad like that happens again right? Probably over the next few days as well! I can’t wait to see what different kinds of genres there are waiting for me! Oh, let me know when you plan to fight in the tournament, I want to watch you again!

Londo, finally finishing his meal, gave her a thumbs up, “I’ll let you know! I’ll tell Ryan to bring his A-game as well!” Getting up from the table.

Hibiscus did the same, walking with him to deposit their trays in the place to deposit them.

Londo wondered what he would do next, and walked with Hibiscus through the halls. More of the rumors they had been hearing the whole time cropped up, coming from other students, one of which Hibiscus gasped at, “W-Wait?! Did you just hear?! That blood harvester rumor?!” Hibiscus panicked, but Londo looked at her, his head tilted in confusion, “What do you mean? What’s so bad about it?

While walking, Hibiscus quickly glanced around, making sure noone else was in earshot, “I met that blood harvester! It’s not a rumor, it’s a fact!” And then Hibiscus recounted her event at the tea party.

Londo thought about it for a moment, his hand to his chin, “Hmmm, rumors that are real…” It wasn’t that far-fetched, especially considering he knew about Yune from a rumor that turned out to be true, “Rumor investigation… That sounds like an idea!

Before Hibiscus could mutter out more than a single, “W-What?...” Londo gave a small wave, and ran away to his dorm room, saying, “I’ll catch ya later Hibby! I’m gonna go investigate those rumors we’ve been hearing!

Hibiscus was left alone, near the entrance of the library, sighing, but then smiling, “He can be such a clutz sometimes, but…” She said, trailing off, then going off to begin her first day on the job.

Almeida humbly thanked him for the compliment, so he probably nailed not being awkward this time around. Perhaps. Meanwhile, Phoebe greeted both of them too. Tidrog reciprocated the polite nod and answered her "We did well, thank you for asking" avoiding to refer to Lavi's apparent tiredness. He'd attempt more conversation, but he wasn't sure on how to do so. Thankfully, the rest of the class quickly assembled. First was Rainer, who Ryan still felt conflicted about, especially upon looking at his unpleasant transformation. Ryan mustered a nod and half a smile for him as greeting. Again uncomfortable, but Hibiscus arrived, and she also looked really nice on top of complimenting him. No need for a second elbow "Oh! Ah, thank you. You do too, Hibiscus" he said, feeling a bit more comfortable in answering rather than making conversation himself. Londo and Alice were next. Alice was also highlighting her beauty with a dress, while Londo... Came in his transformation. Fitting, if thought about it. Nevertheless, Ryan chuckled at his antics, amicably waving at him with a smile as greeting. Tidrog sighed, and threw an understanding smile on Alice's direction and a nod.
Ryan's smile diminished when Yuuki entered the room. Without mediating words with her, he grabbed a lanyard or two depending on if Tidrog needed one and sat down. She spoke a bit about the situation, which stirred Ryan somewhat, but he didn't want to voice it, let alone to Yuuki. So he resorted once again to messaging Almeida.

--"Uh, Almeida"
--"Would you mind staying near me when we get there?"
--"I'm very nervous now"
--"And please don't tell Tidrog I messaged you this."

Professor Okamoto

As nobody seemed to have any questions, Okamoto just waited in the quiet for a couple moments, watching the clock for when they were scheduled to leave. Once the clock struck 8:10, she gave a small nod and turned back towards the class. ”Everyone, please follow me to the cars.” Okamoto then led the class out towards a courtyard near the front of the school, to where three black cars waited. She gestured for the others to get in a car of their choice, while she entered the lead car herself. There was space for five human-sized passengers per car, so space was not in short supply overall, though the larger Spirits would likely need to return to their cores for the time being.

Once all had boarded their vehicles, the drivers would start their engines and pull out towards the Academy’s main gate. The massive doors creaked open to release the cars, which in turn allowed the passengers a view of a fairly hefty crowd gathered outside. Cheers rose up and cameras flashed, though how much the spectators could actually see through the tinted windows was questionable. Still, these were the heroes of the hour, so even being this close was probably quite the experience for them.

The cars continued down the streets of Uruk, leaving the congregation of fans behind as they moved away from the Academy gates. The drivers had likely gone out of their way to select a route that had the least amount of damage, as they didn’t seem to be taking the most direct route to the palace. Still, here and there, citizens could be seen working to repair damaged roads, clean up broken shops, and get life back in order. Several minutes of such scenery passed by, until finally, they approached the palace.

The center of Uruk’s government stood proud and pristine, seemingly untouched by the recent calamity. And like the Academy gates, the palace gates were surrounded by a sizable crowd, this one even larger than the previous one. Again, cameras flashed and cheers rose up as the cars idled in front of the gradually opening gates. A few spectators attempted to sneak in through the gates while they were open, but were quickly stopped by the palace guards. The cars came to a stop as the palace gates closed, and the doors were opened by palace staff. Once all the class had gotten out of their vehicles, a butler led them into the palace to a waiting room. Refreshments of all sorts were placed on tables, giving anyone and everyone the chance to have snacks and drinks of their preference while they waited.

”Please wait here while preparations for the ceremony finish,” the butler said as he was turning to leave. ”If you have need of anything, merely ring this bell.” The bell in question was placed near the door, with a cord passing into the wall, presumably connecting to an intra-palace network of similar bells. Professor Okamoto claimed some refreshments of her own before grabbing a seat, indicating that the students and Spirits were free to do the same.

Almeida tried not to focus too much on Rainer's entrance, as he looked too rotting dashing for her to behold. She also didn't bother much with Londo's entrance, as she realized her life was more peaceful when she ignored him. Hibby was someone she'd actually want to talk with. “Good morning Hibiscus, you're nicely dressed yourself as well.” She didn't have any questions for Okamoto, so she just waited for time to pass after grabbing a lanyard. She also wasn't sure how to respond to Lavi, as she hadn't yet figured out what was different about her, even though there was definitely something going on. Then again, Phoebe told her it'd be okay, so she just accepted the spirit's compliment and decided to let Lavi's behavior slide.

She was a bit surprised when her buzzed, and even more so when she read what it was about. Although some devious plans flowed through her head, she decided to be a good onee-san better than that, and simply gave a smile in Ryan's direction to show she'd read his message and agreed. When they were lead into black cars, it started to feel genuinely official. She just hopped into the nearest one and made herself comfortable. That comfort started to vanish a bit when she realized there was an actual crowd. She figured the 'reporters' part was exaggerated, but apparently it wasn't. Then again, she wanted to be a good onee-san example, so she tried not to show any discomfort with all the attention. You'd think her casual outfit had gotten her used to it by now.

As they drove around the rebuilding-city, Almeida could only wonder how this had even been allowed to happen. In either case, she didn't worry for long, as they were soon let into the palace. Resisting the urge to ring the bells just to see how they'd work, and secretly hoping one of the kids wouldn't have such mental fortitude, so that she too could witness it, she figured she'd grab herself a bottle of water whilst quickly checking if Ryan hadn't fainted yet.

====================================================================

Hibiscus didn't mean to sound rude to Lavi, but she realized that she might have, she'd have to apologize for that, but right now might have been a bad time, and she didn't even know if she'd accept it. Luckily she'd be around here for them to talk to each other epic foreshadowing.

Meanwhile, Londo posed about, and everyone waited for the lanyards, which they took. Londo marvelled at the fact that they were all invited to this important event! What was it about anyways? He had forgotten, and didn't care to know the details, at least for now.

Hibiscus had the same thought, and she didn't remember if they had been told what this was about, but noone else was asking that question, and Hibiscus was still embarressed from accidentally dissing Lavi to even ask. She grabbed two lanyards, one for her and one for Lyka just in case.

Alice, whom had been by Londo's side this whole time, now had a lanyard firmly in between her bountiful harvests, and sighed, saying, "Let's get this over with, I'm bored already..."

The three, or rather four including Lyka still hidden in Hibiscus's hair, made their way to the cars. Londo and Hibiscus made their way to the last car, with Londo beckoning Ryan to join them. Alice noted how there were a bit too many people to fit in every car, so she returned to spirit core form, and they sat inside, hopefully with Ryan.

After getting inside, Londo immediately spoke up, "So, what is this event about?"

Hibiscus was shocked, and responded, "Y-You don't know?!" To which Londo said, "No? What is it?"

Hibiscus's face grew red, and she tried stumbling out a response, but thankfully Alice came to save the day. Noticing Hibiscus's discomfort, and how she seemed to not know either, Alice snapped at Londo, "Why don't you stop bothering others and figure it out yourself?"

Thankfully, that saved Hibiscus, and they rode to the destination in relative silence, save whoever else might say something. However, they didn't get far before something eventful happened, which was people gathered outside taking pictures of the cars. The windows were tinted however, which gave Hibiscus a slight comfort knowing that they couldn't all take every picture under the sun at her.

Her relief was short-lived, as Londo started rolling down the window, and upon reaching maximum exposure, leaned out the window and started posing for the camera. Hibiscus immediatelycovered her face in embarressment, stuttering to the other people in the car, "R-R-R-Roll it down! P-P-Please!" Hibiscus was getting more used to people day by day, but this was way too much.

Alice, who had been in spirit core form this whole time, turned back to her physical form, pulling Londo back in and rolling up the window, smacking him on the head and asking the driver, "Could you lock these please?"

"You didn't have to hit me..." Londo said, rubbing his head, while Alice returned back to spirit core form.

The rest of the trip was hopefully uneventful, and after getting inside the gates and while they made their way to the waiting room.

Hibiscus sighed, finally free from the paparazi, and sat down to have a snack, Lyka finally flying out of her hair to sit on the table and enjoy some refreshments herself. Lyka looked around the table and saw absolutely zero alcohol, and started to complain, "The hell?! No alcohol?! This place is a bust." She said, looking around, and seeing a menu. However, this menu still had no alcohol on it. Lyka screamed on the inside, but still went over to ring the bell, which Alice had been watching closely on Londo to make sure he didn't do for any reason, and rung the bell. Once someone came, Lyka ordered a non-alcoholic martini, and went back to her place on the table until they brought it over.

Hibiscus, meanwhile, was silently enjoying a crumpet, which had impeccible taste and made her worry she'd gain 5 pounds just looking at another one.

TL;DR; Rainer meets some people whilst chasing after the Blood Harvest Rumour.
Collab with @Jaguar Warrior

Rainer Gottwaldt
2sfeC5R.png

Rainer was certainly on the brink of destruction from boredom. The library was off-limits for him. He wasn’t feeling too hungry either, so there was little to do other than explore and try to listen to the stuff that’s happening around him, which pretty much meant exploring Academy grounds, for potentially interesting stuff to do.

After a while of being a lost traveler, he heard something interesting from 2 passing students about being asked to donate their blood or something like that. Rainer would, without a single worry about getting a wedgie from his upperclassmen about listening to their conversation, ask about the blood donation. ”There’s someone asking for blood?” This could be a pristine opportunity to get a new spirit. He got his previous one by letting it soak in it’s blood. In other words, there’s a lost spirit looking for a friend.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Both of the students looked at Rainer with a mild annoyance, as the random kid interrupted them. The nicer of the two gave him an actual reply. “That's what the rumours say. What's it to you?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The students reminded him of his parents, whenever he spoke to them, for some weird reason, but there was no reason to think or talk about that, there were more pressing issues at hand. ”I have plenty of blood to spare, so I wanted to know where I could find that person.” Rainer stared in the students’ eyes, while he spoke.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The guy sighed, getting a bit uncomfortable from the weird kid staring at him. “If people knew that, this wouldn't be a rumour. Nobody even knows if it's true.” The other shook his head, as he added; “Don't go arguing with kids bro, it's not worth it.” He then looked to Rainer. “Try looking for any people that have something to do with blood, and maybe you'll run into them. Or maybe put up flyers that you're offering your blood. If the rumour is true, the person might come to you instead.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Rainer continued to listen and stare at him, he understood the situation. Well, mostly. The important part right now though… ”What’s a flyer?” He wasn’t sure if he was capable of flight, although he could test it out, seeing as magic is kind of impressive and he’s still not sure of what he can or can’t do with it.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

During his six years in the academy, he'd spent the last four wondering why they didn't split things up by adding two years of kindergarten to keep these cases away from them. The second dude figured he might as well try to explain it to be done with it. “It's when you make a pretty drawing and write something underneath it. I'm sure your teacher would be willing to help you make one if you ask them.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rainer was satisfied with the answer to say the least, now he knew his course of action. ”Alright, thank you, have a nice day.” After saying that, he’d finally drop the eye contact and be on his merry way to obtain paper from an undisclosed location. Once he obtained it, he waltzed over to the nearest notice board and would put up a piece of paper to it, a slightly wet piece of paper, covered in bloody writing, saying “FLIER. GIVE BLOOD. CAFFETEREA.” It had a large smiley face in the center of the paper. Rainer would afterwards move to the Cafeteria and wait near its entrance. His finger and some of his hand was covered in blood, since he bit his finger to draw the blood needed for his flyer.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sona Báthory

Sona had been walking around carefully, trying to make sure she didn't end up being stalked by her fans. Things were relatively quiet lately though, mostly due to people being preoccupied with talking about the portals. Her attention was drawn when she saw a rather 'interesting' looking piece of paper on the notice board. The message on it made her suspect the involvement of a certain individual, but the bad spelling made her question it. In either case, she decided she'd better take it down. Messages written in blood weren't exactly good for the school's image, after all. She figured she'd also go after its creator. The latter was easily spotted at the indicated destination, as the kid was still bleeding.

She sighed, before approaching the kid. She'd seen enough disturbing things during her almost ten years here, so this wasn't new to her, but it didn't make it any easier. She figured she could go about this in two ways. She could give the kid what he wanted, or she could try to teach him not to bleed all over the place. Yeah... The former would definitely be the easiest way out, but she decided she'd see what the kid had to say first. “Hello. I'm assuming you're the one that wrote this flier?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Many people over the past few minutes were giving him strange looks, which would’ve been awkward had it been anyone, but Rainer. He was effectively immune to it. He just had to keep waiting for now and possibly forevermore, until the person he needs would arrive. He ended up losing an entire 3 staring contests with the opposing wall, before the person finally appeared.

It was a kind of pretty girl, which was a debate in itself. Was she pretty or was she not? Rainer couldn’t decide, so he decided to compare the people he knew in his head to reach a conclusion. ”Yes, uh, kind off pretty lady.” Rainer did his best to compliment her, but he just couldn’t figure out what to say, so he just said what was on his mind. ”So, you’re the person who wants blood?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sona decided to simply smile away the kind-of complement, but couldn't help herself from being a little surprised at the question. She'd understood the 'GIVE BLOOD' part to be a matter of wanting it, not a matter of wanting to give it. She shook her head. “No, I'm not.” She debated what to do for a while, but realized that she was dealing with a child that was probably mentally unstable, if the painting in blood was anything to go by, so she figured she'd try playing it safe. “I might know that person, but first I'd like to ask, why do you want to give your blood?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, this disappointed Rainer greatly. His plan backfired. The flyer was gone, or well, not at the bulletin board anymore and he managed to catfish a different person. ”Oh… Why did you take off the flier then?” Fortunately, good news came fast, she might know the person, which was great. ”Well. I want a second spirit! Now where can I find that person?” Rainer was in a pretty jolly mood now, hoping she would know where that person is.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sona decided to abstain from explaining why she took the flyer. Surely that was beyond what her student-presidential duties were about, right? Instead, she should be ranting on twitter and telling her fellow students to storm the headmaster's office and demand to remain the president after her last year here would end.

The second part of Rainer's reply did need to be addressed. “I'm afraid that won't help you get a new spirit, and I'm not even sure why you think it will. Was that how you got your current spirit? Anyhow, it would be the exception on getting new spirits, not the rule.” She hoped he'd pick up on at least some of that. Then again, she figured sending a kid her way would definitely be a correct punishment for causing wild rumors to spread throughout the school. “In any case, the person you're looking for is in an old part of the building that is mostly used for storage, other than this one room...” She'd describe him the way there as simply as she could, and made him repeat it for good measure which I can't type out cause I don't know the lay-out of this building at all OOC.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rainer was a bit confused now. What did this kind of pretty lady mean? He couldn’t get a new spirit? What kinda BS was that? Well, no matter, really. He’d preserve nonetheless. ”Huh… Really? That’s sad. But I will keep hope, as hope dies last!” Rainer was firm in his beliefs. He wouldn’t let a little thing like common sense steer him away from his goals, he never had.

Rainer listened to her explanation carefully, even repeating it in front of her to make sure he wouldn’t mess up and would remember it, like his life depended on it. ”Thanks a lot! I will remember you helping me for the rest of my life, for sure! If you need any help, ever, just ask me!!” And so, Rainer went on his merry way to the old school building, following the instructions with pinpoint accuracy, more focused than he had ever been in his life.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sona watched as Rainer left, after making sure to memorize the location. She could only hope that this wouldn't lead to any trouble. Thanks to Rainer's efforts, he managed to make it all the way to the indicated location. Lady luck was also on his side, as he arrived just in time to see someone enter the room. She was talking with someone on the phone as she entered, and from the sound of it, it was a fairly heated conversation.

Enid

“What? No, of course not!”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As Rainer was making his way to the room in the old school building he saw a loli young looking girl going into the room. Her dress was certainly fancy, if nothing else. One of Rainer’s first instincts was immediately registering the fact that she was loaded with cash into the back of his brain. She seemed like she was having an intense gamer moment over the phone, so Rainer simply entered the room after her. Rainer decided to wait until her gamer moment over the phone would end before speaking, if it finished at all. In the meantime, he pondered over the fact that he might just get a new spirit.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

“I'm telling you, it's not like that.”

“Alright. Fine.”

With that, the intense gamer moment had passed, and Enid suddenly noticed the intruder. She ended up yelling at him in surprise. “Who the fuck are you!?!”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

”Hi. I’m Rainer!” Rainer would so declare in a voice of equal volume. She might be half deaf, like one of his previous neighbours, so he took that into consideration, when speaking. ”What’s your name!?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Silently cursing the entire Human race for producing this particular specimen, Enid royally ignored his question. “There's no need to shout, I'm not deaf. You just surprised me. What are you doing here?”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Apparently she wasn’t deaf, just a really big scaredy cat. Rainer did have the urge to point that out, but over the last few days he felt like whenever he pointed something out, “interesting” things followed one of which was him getting ignored, so he decided against. ”Oh, okay. I was told by this kind of pretty lady with brown skin that I’d find the person looking for blood here. So I came over here.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enid sighed, now also cursing the entire race for producing Sona. For a moment, she considered lying to the kid, and sending her right back at Sona, but she feared he'd be talking about things he shouldn't mention through-out the entire school if she did so. Well, she just got told off herself, so she could deliver him the same message. “That'd be me, but I'm afraid you're too late, I no longer need any.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, this was disappointing. She had already become someone’s spirit. Rainer started to wonder if he could somehow obtain her either way. ”Someone already gave you blood then? Hm…. Who was it?” Well, there was still hope, in Rainer’s eyes at least.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enid shook her head. “That's nothing you need to know. You'd better get back to your class or something.”

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ah, even the last of his hope had disappeared. This was a great crisis, greater than Rainer had ever experienced before. It probably didn’t help much that he had effectively hyped himself up all this time too, hence it was all the more horrid. Tears started welling up in Rainer’s eyes, his body started slightly shaking and as the first tear rolled down his cheek, the floodgates were opened. sni-sni-sniff ”Aaaaaaaaaaaaahh! Whaaaa!” He was being terribly loud in fact, in his crying and bawling. Rainer had been defeated.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Enid's face showed a rather grossed-out expression when Rainer started bawling.“For fuck's sake, shut up!” She had no need for this, so she figured she'd better push Rainer out of the room as soon as possible and lock it behind her.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even Rainer’s crying was not enough to shatter her ice cold heart, apparently, so Rainer abruptly stopped, clicked his tongue and left the room. well, more accurately, was mostly pushed out of it This day was just going horribly, wasn’t it? Everything today had gone to absolute crap, no matter what he did. He decided to simply go to his room and pray, maybe tomorrow will be a brighter day.
