[BCOLOR=transparent]Alexander always keeps himself clean cut. With a freshly shaven face and well kept short blond hair. His bright blue eyes are the dominating feature of his face. Weighing in at 245 Lbs, at 6'2 he isn't afraid to get his hands dirty unlike the elitist culture he comes from. He has one tattoo a chain wrapping around his right upper arm. 7 links have names first and last written in small gold cursive. [/BCOLOR]

[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Biography: Born in the city of Detroit Michigan, Alex was born to the family of corrupt politicians that made money on the cities misfortune. He was slapped a silver spoon into his mouth at an early age. He flourished in this elitist society, partying and fucking up like any rich boy does. It was not until he met Sarah Feltone, did his views of the world fell apart. [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]She was the kind of person that could see the best in people even when they didn't see it themselves. The moment she saw Alexander, she knew the kind of man he really was. Kind, strong willed, protective. They fell in love the moment they met. It was Sarah showed him how the people suffered. She showed him the large homless community that in part his family had helped create. He grew to despise his money and his power. So began his life as a white collar criminal. A modern day robin hood with a suit and tie. [/BCOLOR]
[BCOLOR=transparent]His family had all been givin the immortality potions, they had given Alexander endless youth, making him 27 forever. During the riots within Detroit, the military police had comited a genocide as he was stuck, safe in the home of his mother and father. In the aftermath he had found his Sarah dead like so many others. It was her death that sparked not just his need to give his familys money back to the people but to tear down the goverment that let this occur even order these horrifying acts.[/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Motivation: The death of millions and the death of his beloved Sarah [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Standard Traits:[/BCOLOR]
  • Magitech Nanite
  • [BCOLOR=transparent]Awakened[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=transparent]Diplomat[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=transparent] No Threat[/BCOLOR]
  • [BCOLOR=transparent]Light Munitions [/BCOLOR]

[BCOLOR=transparent]Custom Traits:[/BCOLOR]
  • The Silence - Somewhat like the no threat trait, The silence (Doctor who eat your heart out) is a magitech ability that can only be used every 12 hours. For 10 minutes Alex can walk through any security, any person who sees him will know he is there, but the moment he moves from out of you're vision all memory of his existence is gone. Only individuals with a strong appitude of magic, will know that something had happened, but his face his appearance what had happened would seem just out of reach.

Place holder for potential character... my concept is a little... outside the box so I'm waiting to talk with Brovo before I put it up.

Name: Mafuyu Charles

Age: 24

Sex: Female

Race: Human.

Subfaction: Muh democratic freedom.

Appearance: She stands at about 5'7" tall, with distinct Eurasian features. Her long black hair is mostly tied up in a ponytail, though a strand would oft escape and bother her deep brown eyes so. She has a rather athletic build, slim with well defined muscles, from all the time lugging about heavy armor plus the armaments and ammo to match.

Biography: Microwaves, washing machines, cars, if it was a machine, she could fix it.

Her life thus was mostly confined to the workshop where her family worked, and obeyed the vampires' rule. Day in, and day out they worked, thinking they were fortunate, thinking that this was alright. Words on everyone's lips. "This is alright. At least we don't starve." "Its ok, at least we're not hunted like those rebel people."

At least, at least, at least.... . Words everyone justifies their existence with. Until she found a girl heavily wounded in an alley. She was an affront to everything they had lived for, yet Mafuyu had let her stay. The girl's words burned Mafuyu's ears with their strange ideals, yet Mafuyu still treated her wounds. Her very existence would mean death to anyone around her, and yet Mafuyu had hid her from family members and those nice people who came looking for her. She had let the girl go as soon as her wounds healed, wishing for her old quiet life again.

But her old life had disappeared the moment the girl came in, and it did not resume when the girl left. She saw now the tired faces, the fear behind every carefully chosen words, and the ever present police people looking for any signs of dissent. There was no way she could live her old life again, not when she was sure there was something better than this.... stagnant life, monitored on all sides by the goverment. Mafuyu's life dream was to create something great, something she had already started working on. Without a doubt, if the current goverment was still in place when she finished her invention and make it for public, it would be used for all the wrong reasons. She wasn't sure how an exosuit designed to protect the elderly and give them back some of their mobility could be misused, but that was beside the point.

Taking the still unfinished prototype of one of the component, augment wraps designed to enhance one's physical capabilities, she left her home to join the Rebellion.

Motivation: To regain the past where everyone was equal, and had equal rights.

Equipment: The usual gears she would bring would be a modified riot gear with a heart splashed onto the back, a balistic shield, tooled blade about a meter long, and an LMG with a few boxes of ammo. May swap out a few armaments depending on what she is doing.

Standard Traits: (You can find a list of available traits in the "Traits & Achievements" tab.) (You start with five standard traits.)

  • -Magitech Nanites: Heal broken limbs, dig your way through walls (slowly), or as a last resort weapon, unleash them on an opponent and watch him die slowly and painfully. As a weapon it has very short range, only a few feet before the nanites are out of wireless range. Can only focus on one task at a time. Further upgrades expand the efficiency and number of nanites.
  • -Heavy Munitions: This character has undergone training with heavy firearms and other weapons, such as light machine guns, assault rifles, and shotguns.
  • -Explosives Training: Access to demolitions equipment, C4, RPG's, and so on.
  • -CQC: Trains the character in the basics of both hand to hand and melee weapons.
  • -Heavy Armour Training: Bulletproof vests are one thing. Wearing the full suit, including leg and arm padding with a face shield, requires a little bit of training to wield properly. In exchange, your character has a lot of protection from gunfire.

Custom Traits:
  • -Augment Wrappings: High grade wrappings enhances strength, speed and agility without having to go through the augmentation process. And though it doesn't compare to actual augmentation implants and the likes, it still provides enough power to make anyone with these wrappings a real threat. While the mechanical fabric is very tough, its relatively thin, and not tooled to withstand bullets.

@F L Y A'ight. Lets get to work on this sheet.

"She is a female Lycanthrope so she isn't as beefy as the males," For the purposes of this system, the sex of your character does not impact their ability to do things. A female lycanthrope is on par to a male lycanthrope in strength.

The rest of the appearance is fine. If you want some further writing advice though, let me know. :bsmile:

Finish the bio and we'll be good.

@Kadaeux Approved, keep in mind that Fluffy will need to be put in hiding spots most of the time.

@F L Y
@Brovo I have just a quick, dumb question that may have already been established... (Status: Unsure) I was curious to know how exactly Vampire and Lycanthropes were/are created. Those "immortality positions" were what created the Vampires correct? And now if they bite others then that other person gets infected? Is this infection what causes them to change? There also isn't a BITING section beneath the LYCANTHROPE information so how did those guys come about? And how would one become a Lycanthrope now in this day and age? I apologize if this was already written down somewhere... I may have skipped it or something while speed-reading.
Improperly made "immortality potions", yes, which ended up spreading the disease. If a human gets vampiric blood in them that isn't "dosed" properly, they might turn or simply just get sick. (As is mentioned in both the Vampire and Human race descriptions.) This is what started the epidemic, aside from your usual "bite neck; spread plague" method of vampirism that works rather well. The infection is what causes them to change, correct, which is why if a person is flooded with antibiotics before they change, they can beat off the infection.

Lycanthropes come about with biting victims and leaving them alive. Seeing as how a lycanthrope's bite is far more... Uhh... Damaging than a vampire's bite is, another method of the virus getting around is people willingly paying to get the virus in their blood stream. After all, who doesn't want to have the ability to turn into a lumbering killing machine at night if they get into trouble? :bsmile:

You are right about the lycanthropes, I mentioned nothing about their methods of spreading the virus. My bad.
My character is so sexy. I'm curious how that cool organization thingy (i.e. traits and achievements, general traits, etc.) is done with the BB codes. Also, just to be clear, you say at least one vampire, lycanthrope, human trait. Does this mean we can have more than one or do you want at least one trait?
Kad lists the tab code perfectly.

You can have more than one, you just require at least one. If you wanted, you could have all five standard traits go purely to racial traits. So long as one does, I am content.

@Tonedeaf Still a Wip, but it looks alright thus far. Looking forward to finished product.

I would absolutely work on it right now but the lions are losing on thanksgiving..... so yah Give me an hour I should have a finished product.

hye, birov? Can i have a power suit for a custom trait? >.>
No. Not right now. Some of the tech is there, but not the ability to manufacture it into a thing.

@Brovo My cs is done, go ahead and look at it. (Custom triat might change before the start of the IC becuase it is not cool at all. )

My CS is also done.

@Brovo It's no problem about the "sex defines strength" part. I can go ahead and fix that. I was just typing and typing and typing lol. Eh, don't worry about it-- we all forget about some things. I was just awaiting for your answer so I could finish up my biography and be done with it. I'm thinking that my character will probably just pay some underground dealer so she could turn into a lumbering killing machine and destroy her enemies! I'm sure a lycanthrope bite would probably tear flesh and leave someone an amputee of sorts. Thank you for your help!

EDIT: I also finished my CS if you wanna take a look. :bouncy:

    Name: Terissa Ipe
    Age: 23
    Sex: Female
    Race: Human
    Subfaction: Abolitionist
    Appearance Notes: 5'6"; lean
Biography: Raised by her parents, Terissa's life went by fairly well for most of her childhood. Even the chaos of the rising vampires failed to directly impact their life, and the horror of the world all seemed so distant. Inconsequential, even. School days came and went, a few young romances bloomed then ended. The suburban life carried on for the Ipe family.

Until one day her friend Dean came climbing through her window, a battered baseball bat in hand and fear in his eyes, asking for somewhere to hide for awhile. She let him in, only to find her questions of what happened avoided and ignored. The news, however, brought it to light. The body of a vampire was found, who had been left out in the sun after being struck in the head.

By the next day, Vampire Enforcers arrived looking for retribution. When they came to Terissa's house, her father gave up Dean in a panic. He was taken away to prison, and the suburb was once more left to it's own devices. Disgusted with her father's betrayal, and eyes open to the facade she'd been living with, she left home with no plan or destination.

She ended up with a rebellion cell in the Sanguine Capitol in the same way someone accepts an offered chair; with a kind of Sitting Down sense. She was given some magitech equipment and trained in disruptive strategies, which was their term for blowing things up.

One such target of their disruptive strategies - at Terissa's repeated request - was the prison Dean was being held in. They succeeded in breaking him out, alongside others, though not without some injury. Still, after their reunion, she convinced him to join the cell and aid their resistance.
Motivation: A desire for things to be better, a loss of naivety pinned upon those in charge.

    Standard Traits:
    • Magitech Nanites - Heal broken limbs, dig your way through walls (slowly), or as a last resort weapon, unleash them on an opponent and watch him die slowly and painfully. As a weapon it has very short range, only a few feet before the nanites are out of wireless range. Can only focus on one task at a time. Further upgrades expand the efficiency and number of nanites.
    • No Threat - Being a human and unsuspecting looking, so long as this character doesn't have explosives, specialized munitions, or heavy munitions equipped, they will not be attacked so long as they do not engage the enemy, even in restricted areas. They may be arrested if they are committing suspicious activities in a local area, however. Further upgrades increase the overall effectiveness of this ability and the number of weapons they can smuggle safely.
    • Heavy Armour Training - Bulletproof vests are one thing. Wearing the full suit, including leg and arm padding with a face shield, requires a little bit of training to wield properly. In exchange, your character has a lot of protection from gunfire.
    • CQC - Trains the character in the basics of both hand to hand and melee weapons.
    • Leadership Ribbon I - Allows this character to bring in a minion, combat pet, or compatriot. Their power is always assumed to be relative to yours, always a little weaker, better as a backup to you then as a front line character. Further upgrades increase the number of people you can have under your command.
    Custom Traits:
    • Magitech Hoppers - A pair of magitech boots and gloves that can unleash short bursts of force; most useful for jumping or adding a little more oomph to a hit.
    Signature: Brovo.

    Name: Dean Forton
    Age: 21
    Sex: Male
    Race: Human
    Subfaction: Abolitionist
Appearance Notes: 5'11"; scrawny; burn scars on left hand
Biography: Dean was always a bit of a problem-child when he was young. Hanging out with the wrong crowds, prone to petty theft and vandalism. His parents tried to raise him right, hired therapists to try and fix him, but time wore them down, and they eventually gave up. Let him waste his life away, they thought. They could wipe their hands of him, assuring themselves they did all they could.

Eventually Dean got partially involved in distributing drugs. Not a dealer, exactly, but someone who'd offer a hit or two to people and then recommend them to the actual dealer. At first it was things like weed and shrooms, but the dealer had ambitions, and began trying to get into the immortality potion business.

Dean didn't want any part of that, however, and tensions between him and the dealer began to grow strained. Things came to a head when the two got into a heated argument, and the dealer went to grab Dean. Reflexively, Dean lashed out with his baseball bat and caught him in the head, knocking the large hat he was always wearing. Immediately, the man's skin began to smoke and burn, and Dean took off in horror.

He took sanctuary in his friend Terissa's house, but the Vampire Enforcers found him in the end, and packaged him off to prison. He was kept in there, trying to avoid getting in fights with the other, stronger inmates and having regular forced blood donations for a little over a year until a large explosion tore open a hole in the wall of the prison. He escaped alongside many others, though not without being nearly crushed by a piece of burning masonry.

Upon escaping he learned the breakout was orchestrated by a local rebellion cell, whose membership included Terissa. She urged him to join the cell and her, and after some thought he agreed.
Motivation: Not exactly a fan of vampires or lycanthropes, and year of being in prison resulting in a contempt for authority figures.

    Strengths:
    • Melee combat
    • Getting around

@Everyone: I will be doing character reviews and the like tomorrow. In the meantime, I'm gonna eat some dinner and then crash.

@Ghosty Daddy issues! She's approved.:rotfl:

If I ever end up throwing her father into the storyline for her to get revenge... This will definitely be the theme song of the fight.

Just saying.

@Tempest Looks fine so far, finish your CS though. :bsmile:

@viveridereamor Hope you get a CS up soon!

@Jorick It's only a hate crime if I make a white person kill Gabriel. If I make a black vampire kill Gabriel, then it's equality. Eat it. Though frankly I don't really care either way.

Approved. Also, "Zippo." Clever.

@Tonedeaf The custom is a bit gimmicky, but it works. Approved. May Alexander find the retribution he's looking for. (Keep in mind for combat: Your ability will work to prevent enemies who do not have direct visual contact of your character from remembering he's in the battle.)

@Herzinth Approved. We'll see how long they last.

@Everyone: The IC will go up two days after we hit at least eight players.

  • Biography: Born near the beginning of the chaotic period of social libraries being stripped that eventually resulted in the genocide of Sixty percent of the human population, Anya was the child of an American woman and her German lover. The two met at university, and eventually the pair moved in together, sensing a shift of sorts that had them wanting to be together, before emigration became impossible.

Anya grew up in the chaotic new world, being educated by a newly developed education system that served to further suppressed social freedom and thought. Anya was blessed to have two intellectual and rather liberal parents, as they were able to undo some of the damage that the new-regime's ultimately indoctrinating education system had done, and they began to broaden the young woman's horizons.

Being that her family lived in Alaska mostly, Anya began to go hunting with her father as soon as she hit her teens. Perhaps because he wanted a son, or perhaps because he wanted her to be able to protect herself, her father insisted she learn how to shoot a gun. It started off with simply stalking deer and rabbits, but soon Anya was a highly proficient marksman. She quickly learned to outshoot her dad, and on her 18th birthday she was given her own rifle: which would eventually be christened Brynhildr, after some extensive modification.

In 2044, Anya accepted an offer into the university of the Sanguine capitol. She left her parents in Alaska; taking with her every possession she owned. Her parents supported her decision, and to this day provide constant support for their daughter. She writes letters to them often enough, although they haven't seen each other in 6 years.

It was during her second year at university that Anya made first contact with the rebellious cell. Still in its infancy, Anya began to take an interest in the Democratic socialist movement and they soon took an interest in her. At this point, the cell was still fairly unknown, and kept disruption to a minimum. That quickly changed though. As the group began to get more serious, Anya started to falter about the justifiability of the group's rapidly intensifying actions. She slowly began to distance herself from the group.

As it happens, the slowly departing Anya would soon become one of the most dedicated members. One day, during a walk home from University, Anya was cornered by a pair of vampires. They pushed her into an alleyway and tried to force their depraved desires upon her. One even began an attempt to charm her, so as to make her willingly submit. The world began to take on a sort of halcyon daze when...

The world turned red. There was blood everywhere: it wasn't hers. Both vampires slumped onto the floor, one with a silver stake through the heart and one with a bullet in his brains. The display was messy, and behind the now-dead assailants was a man she recognised: The leader of the more radical side of the Democratic Socialists: Markus Twain. He had taken the name as a jest, it seems, but he had saved her life. Surprising, considering he was a vampire.

Markus began to lead her away from the scene, but she protested. They were in the wrong, after all. She should call the police, she argued. The vampire just offered a snide, condescending laugh at her before kicking over one of the corpses, revealing a police officer's uniforms.

"You are just meat to vampires...A convenient snack. Docile as livestock, even. Do you think they'll listen to the complaints of a little morsel like you? We need to leave and clean you up. My place is closer, we can talk there."

Anya had little to say, and no real way to react. She had known how corrupt this new world was, but she had no idea just how dangerous it could be. She followed Markus to his home, and listened as he offered a proposal to her. He offered to help teach her how to use a small firearm in return for her help in spreading the word about the attack she'd been subjected to. He was after people that might join the cell he was a part of, and she wanted to protect herself. It was win-win.

So Anya learned to use small arms from Markus, and Markus had a new face for his recruitment at the university. Anya was able to transfer some of her skills as a marksman to shooting a pistol, or a submachine gun, but it took her a year of very hard work to get as good as she got. Markus constantly expressed his surprise at the girl's natural proficiency, and she soon outclassed even him as a shooter.

When she finished university, it seemed the natural progression for Anya to join the more extreme portion of the Democratic Socialist's cell. She felt a certain connection with the cell's cause. She knew that she possessed useful enough skills: She was clever, she was reasonably charismatic and, perhaps most of all, she was easy to miss.

Motivation: "Talking won't solve this crisis. We can't protest and we can't just wait out an immortal dictatorship. Only actions can change the world, because no one listens to the words of a quiet protest. They listen to the noisy revolutionists, instead"

  • Standard Traits: (You can find a list of available traits in the "Traits & Achievements" tab.) (You start with five standard traits.)

    • -No Threat: Being a human and unsuspecting looking, so long as this character doesn't have explosives, specialized munitions, or heavy munitions equipped, they will not be attacked so long as they do not engage the enemy, even in restricted areas. They may be arrested if they are committing suspicious activities in a local area, however. Further upgrades increase the overall effectiveness of this ability and the number of weapons they can smuggle safely
    • -Light Munitions: This character has undergone training with light firearms and other weapons, such as sub-machine guns, pistols, crossbows, and throwing axes
    • -Specialized Munitions:This character has undergone training with firearms and other weapons which require highly specialized training, such as sniper rifles, flamethrowers, and grenade launchers.
    • -The Art of Stealth: This character understands the need for silence. This both increases the odds of remaining undetected and lowers the odds enemy NPC's will target this character.
    • -Diplomat: Has been trained, one way or another, as a combat negotiator. This strengthens a character's ability to get through to opposing or neutral NPC's to try and convince them of your views.

    Custom Traits:

    • -Brynhildr: A unique Sniper rifle, Brynhildr is a modified bolt-action hunting rifle with a powerful scope and one important feature: It is fully collapsible and easy to reassemble. It fits nicely inside a number of everyday carrier cases, including backpacks, briefcases, and guitar cases. (A specialised munitions weapon: Brynhildr is a collapsable sniper rifle with a lower range than the average sniper rifle and that takes a full round action to deploy. For these limitations, it gains the huge bonus of being easy to transport stealthily and without attracting attention.)

This looks interesting! Despite me usually doing things differently than a roleplay thread, I think I'll give this a go and see how I like roleplaying on the threads.
