The Panther.

ID: Agent 94.

<~<>~>

The Panther and the Rhino stared at each other, once more with that knowing yet apprehensive look in their eyes. Something else was going down. A short and curt nod they tossed each other before splitting up and hustling over to their respective spots.

And so the Subjects had been re-grouped once more. But this time instead of three groupings there were now just two. The other group: Jaycie, Conway and Summer had left them recently to go off and meet up with Unit 6. At least that was what Agent 94 had said. They were going to go off and do the plan from a different angle, Agent 94 had said. They were going to kill the cameras from the Security room instead of trying to get the Subjects to sneak around the all-seeing eyes of the BLOCC, Agent 94 had said. It would make their job easier this way, Agent 94 had said.

But what Agent 94 had not said was when and where they were to rendezvous with Jaycie, Conway and Summer.

>>Ada, Bella, DeeDee, Euler,<< the Panther strut on over to the quartet and with her tail, she pointed to each in turn, >>you all will have a different role to play out. Your Directive will be to collect extra sustenance for our journey. It is about speed and efficiency now. Eh bien, you four are Unit 1.<<

One last look she had cast over to Agent 53 before giving a final nod and leading the Subjects into the storage room. >>Listen up, Prey. We have been compromised; there is a mole amongst us. Oui, c'est vrai, we have been betrayed. Someone has given away our location. We have to split up. Go Fauna and follow me. Move now. Maintenant.<<

The Panther pressed on a floor plate and it lit up giving them enough light to see into the dark corridor that had opened up before them. The Panther grumbled then bolted straight away into the dark.

It was anyones' guess as to how long they followed her down the 'backwater passages.' The big black cat had them scurrying, flying and hopping at breakneck speed in the dark and dank. They sped downward through winding passageway after winding passageway. >>We will weed them out. They will pay. But know I trust you Prey; I have seen you are all on our side. The only Agents I trust with my entire life are: 13, 16, 40, 53, 81, 102 and 121. And so should you. Agent 16 was our leader when we were all on-- ce n'est pas importante-- she was our leader then and she is our leader now. Agent 121 reported the traitorous act and I know he is 100% with his intel...<<

Finally, they escaped the dark passageways and were met with the scenery of a familiar sight. The Subjects had all seen the digitally rendered pictures of the landscape in progress scattered throughout their sections of the BLOCC. But never had they seen it with their own eyes until now. They were in the newest and greatest garden in the BLOCC.

The Sanctuary.

It was not yet complete and the trees were still but merely saplings, however, from what was set up so far, any one person could tell that this was going to be the most magnificent greenery spot ever manufactured here. Nearly a football field sized garden filled with flora of all types and soon to be three waterfalls and a huge pond right in the middle. The freshest air would be found here too, right in the heart of the underground facility.

As if to accentuate the freshness of the space, the Panther took a deep and satisfactory inhale before transmitting, >>We still need to re-route the power to Thrum 2. So same plan as before but tweaked now; Unit 3 will take care of that directive. You four, however, need to meet up with another. Wait here while I--<<

The Panther cringed suddenly, yellow eyes exploding with golden light as she scanned the silent ceiling. Then the golden glowing eyes fell upon them, >>Silent alarm. 2 floors down. Slyders deployed. Stay here. Stay Fauna. Another Agent will come to see you. Tell them nothing. Rien. Nothing at all, I mean it. Stay with them, but wait for my orders to act. No speaking other than BCT. I mean it. Stay hidden, stay safe...<<

A single curt nod she gave them then leapt off, streaking away like liquid black lightning.

<~<>~>

Ada knew it was too late to heed the communications warning; she had spoken with something other than BCT afterall. Ada had already sent off a message letting Jaycie know that they were on the move. And Ada had not noticed that her message had been hacked short. Not until now. For if the Sparrow tried to use her BCT she could feel as if... as if someone or something was listening in on her transmission.

Bella saw it. It was the same expression she had seen when the Panther let her emotions slip last time. But her 'sensitivity' this time actually caught more than Agent 94's concern for 'Mother' being wounded. This time around, the Ferret caught a glimpse of where Agent 94 was headed; back to the Lair of the Thrum.

DeeDee and Euler

The Lop-Eared Bunny kept up pace with the sprinting Predator surprisingly well; fear was a great motivator, no doubt. Her mind revolved round and round with each designated numeral of the trusted Agents that the Panther had rattled off. Of all those she listed, DeeDee only recognized, Agents 16, 53, 81 and 121. They were the Great White Tiger, the Rhino, the Cougar, and the Polar Bear respectively. But there were two others of whom with she had interacted and felt she trusted, Agent 10, the Komodo Dragon and Agent 43, the Anaconda yet now she could not trust them. And with good reason; there was now a traitor amongst the Agents. This newly reported fact shook Dee to the core; this was a major pitfall that could sink their escape.

Onto her haunches she went, lifting up her forepaws and tucking them to her Bunny chest, little head swivelling around marveling at the fantastical sight of the Sanctuary garden. >>Dis donc! Conway sooooo love this place, no?<<

It was still incomplete but it was the most majestic sight she had ever seen in the BLOCC. Suddenly the Panther cringed and Dee jumped startled by the Panther lowering herself into a pouncing position. Agent 94 then made mention that a silent alarm had been tripped and that there were Slyders deployed. She had no idea what a 'Slyder' was but the ensuing directives given to the Subjects told her that whatever these Slyders were, they were not beneficial to she and her friends. DeeDee scuttled her way beside the bigger doe Rabbit, Euler and crouched low, hidden in the other Year Two's shadow.

An emptiness and a sinking belly she was left with once the Panther sprinted away. They were supposed to collect supplies of some kind but the feline Agent had never mentioned as to what exactly it was they were supposed to collect. Were they just supposed to sit here and wait for another Agent that they might or might not be able to trust? So of course, she turned to the one that she always seemed to turn to when in doubt, >>Ada! Louloute, what now? Should hide in bushes there? Blink! Attends! Wait! Where you go...?!<<

>>Not sitting around, Deckie,<< responded the Snowshoe Hare as she slowly hopped away from the others, jade green eyes glinting, >>Ada. Thinking do scouting. See what exactly what do in here... Bels, you with me check tall glowy there...?<<

Blink only paused to give a chinbob at where she was headed; the tall pulsing, thrumming green lit monolith in the middle of the Sanctuary.

Bella had a little trouble keeping pace but the thought of escaping had her moving at speeds she didn't know she possessed. The dark passages they were on left little light and if not for her piers Bella was sure she would have gotten lost. The two bunnies hopping in front of her and the little bird flying above her were the only indication that she was headed in the right direction. It smelled wet where they were and it had Bella thinking of how the bathrooms smell like this when she's cleaning them. Cleaning bathrooms was going to be a thing of the past after they escape. Oh! It's going to be wonderful! The ocean and forests must look beautiful in person, though it's not like she's ever seen them in pictures either. Oh, but she couldn't wait to meet other people. Bella wondered often what others are like. The prey here are all pretty nice, thought that might be due to them all being in the same boat.

Listening intently to Agent 94, Bella was confused as to how a rat got amongst them. Weren't the Agents helping them supposed to be trustworthy? Though thinking about it even the most trustworthy people have there price. Bella wasn't one of those people that gave up her friends for money or something valuable. No, she was often too loyal at times, following people blindly once she knows she can trust them. Still, hearing this news was very concerning. Bella had met a few of the other agents and they seemed trustworthy enough but then again Bella was one to trust to quickly.

When they reached the end of the passage Bella's eyes widened slightly at the sight of the Sanctuary. While she knew it wasn't complete it was magnificent to behold. Water and trees that reached up to the ceiling looked almost too good to be true. The air was fresh with and earthy smell that had Bella jumping from side to side with excitement. Though that didn't last long as the panther's eyes burst with a golden light as she looked around, going onto her hunches. In that moment Bella was scared for her fellow friends. What if they got hurt? What if something worse happened! Bella wasn't sure what she would do if one of her friends got hurt or worse, died.

Then she saw it. No, more like she sensed it. The panther was headed for the layer of the Thurm. What was happening there Bella did not know but one thing was for sure, these 'Slyders' were not to be messed with. Looking at her fellow prey Bella wondered if these Slyders would make an appearance. Would they even be able to survive that? Whatever happened Bella was just glad she wasn't alone. Looking over to her fellow prey Bella tapped to Ada, whom was like a leader to Bella, >Panther go to Thurm. Not know why.<

At the sound of Euler's tap Bella looked over toward the glowy thing and nodded. Definitely something to be checked out. There was no way to tell what it was at this distance. >I follow you.< Bella tapped to Euler eyes shifting from her to the monolith when done. Taking a breath Bella scurried after Euler trying not to lag behind as the Snowshoe hare was quite fast.

For whatever reason, Ada just nodded her little Sparrow head at Blink's comments. A bit of a head tilt the Hare gave as she regarded the Sparrow. And even though they were both Year 2's, Euler and Ada did not interact too much over the years due to being from different areas in the expanse of the BLOCC. But one thing she knew as a definite fact about the little red and brown bird was that she was the boldest bloody thing Euler ever met despite her small stature. And not having an opinion nor giving a direction or two was quite unlike her.

>>All good, Ada? No speak?<<

The Sparrow nodded to both questions.

>>Something wrong...?<<

Slowly the Sparrow nodded, dark eyes narrowing a bit. A small wing unfurled and pointed in the direction of the strange monolith in the near distance.

There was the Sparrow she knew. Even without a word, the bird was rather direct. The Hare nodded a single curt nod and turned her attention toward the Ferret. >>Okay, dancing-dex. We go. Don't trip on me. Be fast. I move fast. Ready...? Go...!<<

Stealth was not Euler's strong suit, but speed was her number one trait; that's why they called her Blink. In the blink of an eye, the Hare was already halfway to the monolithic green-lit thing in the middle of the Sanctuary. She stopped near the edge of a bush waiting for Bella to catch up, little head darting this way and that looking out for anything that would pose a threat. Any other circumstance and she would have loved to lounge here a moment and nibble away aimlessly at the grass and shrubbery here. But alas, lounging was the furthest thing from her mind right now.

Once she saw it was clear, she turned her attention once more to Bella. And knowing that they were well outside the BCT transmitting distance from Ada and Decker, she opened up to Bella. Normally she was the quiet one that listened to everyone's problems but as of now, she needed to be the one to voice her worries, >>Everything go wrong. Something wrong with Ada. No BCT. Jay-birdie, Conway and Summer gone and now alarm go off. Slyders? Sound scary. Now Panther go back to Thrum room? Everything go wrong, Bels.

We stick together, okay, dancing-dex? Stay close. Can't lose each other. But move fast. Ready...? Go...!<<

Blink slowed her insane speed and kept pace with Bella as they hustled over to the thing in the middle of the gigantic garden. It was way, way, way bigger than it looked from a distance; somehow its size did not make sense. It seemed to become exponentially larger the closer they got to it. The Hare stared uneasily at the Ferret then nodded. >>Check this side, I check other side. See if find anything to collect for escape? Ready...? Go...!<<

As Blink scampered her way over to check one side with the unmanned tower, she made sure to keep within eyeshot of the Ferret.

Bella would note that the flooring was made of the same strange metal plating that lined the floors and walls leading up to the Thrum room but... there was something very different about it that she just could not put her finger on it just yet. The watch tower itself was not lit up, and loomed dark over her backlit by that eerie green light given off by the monolith. She fell well within its shadow but looking up, she could notice that this was not just a watch tower. Yes, there was a place for a sentry to perch and watch over from above, but it did not make sense to have two watch towers here flanking this thing. And once she noticed that the lookout area at the top did not have walls , she knew for a fact it was not meant to be used to over look the rest of the garden.

Actually, even though Bels did have poor eyesight, she would recognize that silhouette inside the lookout area anywhere. The Ferret had seen all the Dexters crowd around it in the Rec Room. For whatever reason there was a Debs up there. She may have even partook in the exhilaration and liberating fun more than once 'bonded up' to that machine. Najil was the current champ and, giving it a quick thought, it had been a good minute since she held the crown of Queen Debs. In fact, the Ferret could even remember that day when--

Suddenly the tower lit up and the ground began rumble gently from the vibrations emanating from said tower. There was something moving inside the watchtower. Blink rushed over and came to a skidding halt beside Bella. >>Bels! You okay? You trip on something? What happenin--<<

Euler's question was quickly answered as the first set of doors in front of them slid open, the sound quite similar to the 'blast doors' of the Cryo-Stasis room opening. Somehow the girls had activated the elevator of the watchtower. And now the second set of doors, the elevator doors, began to slide open.
