The BackStory
500 years ago there lived a beautiful priestess with extraordinary spiritual powers. She lived in a happy village with her sister, protecting a pink jewel known as the Jewel of Four Souls also known as the Sacred Jewel or Shikon Jewel. The jewel granted whoever wielded it with immense power, whether it be for good or for evil. In this time, there were demons of all kinds who were after that very jewel in order to become stronger but the priestess protected it with her life. The priestess, or better known as Kikyo, met a half-demon who saved her from near death after being ambushed by numerous demons. They slowly fell in love until the day they made a promise. Kikyo promised she'd bring Inuyasha the Sacred Jewel tomorrow in order for him to become a full human and live with her. They agreed and parted ways. The next day came and Kikyo reached their designated spot. Inuyasha wasn't there so she waited for him patently. After a short while, a demon by the name of Naraku who had disguised himself as Inuyasha, attacked her. Leaving a deep and bloody wound in her shoulder, Naraku took the jewel for himself and left after saying he had never wanted to be human in the first place. Kikyo grew to hate Inuyasha. The day after, Naraku disguised himself as Kikyo and tried to kill Inuyasha with her arrows after spotting him walking through the forest near the village. Inuyasha didn't understand and labeled Kikyo a traitor.
That night, Inuyasha attacked the village and took the Shikon Jewel. The villagers tried to stop him but none succeed. Inuyasha, feeling like he had a chance to fulfill his true desires, became careless and didn't notice Kikyo's arrow of sealing until to late. He was struck just above the heart and pined to a tree. The jewel flew out of his hands and landed in the grass. Kikyo, heavily bleeding and near death, walked over and fell to her knees. Some villagers ran to her, along with her sister. Kikyo told them to burn her body along with the jewel and they obeyed. Inuyasha passed out and has been pinned to that tree ever since. But no one knew that in the future a girl would be born with the jewel inside her body and the same spiritual powers as Kikyo.
Setting
The setting is rather complicated. In the beginning of our story, everyone will be in a small city known as Ryotsu which is located in Japan but toward the middle everyone'll travel back 500 years in time to the Edo Era. Once in Edo there won't be a particular setting and everyone can use their imaginations to were they are so long as they PM me about it first.
Plot
After 500 years a baby girl was born with the Sacred Jewel inside her body. Her name is Kaitlyn Anderson. Kaitlyn attends Ryotsu High along with her 12 friends from Middle School. On the first of summer, everyone decides to go to Kaitlyn's place. While there, her little brother Mason, looses the cat. Everyone helps looking for it until they all find themselves in the Anderson Shrine. A little warehouse with steps leading down to the landing and a sealed off well. Suddenly, a demon centipede bursts through the well and grabs Kaitlyn from behind, pulling her in. Her friends form a chain to try and pull her out but end up falling inside with her. Kaitlyn uses her powers without realizing it to knock the demon out. The group of friends then find themselves in the well. They climb out but realize they're not at Kaitlyn's. Noticing the same large tree outsider Kaitlyn's home, everyone runs to it but they only find a half-demon, Inuyasha, pinned to the tree by an arrow with roots growing over his body. The group get caught by villagers and are taken back to the village as prisoners. They meet the priestess and explain to her that they aren't demons as the village proclaims. The priestess believes them and releases them. Allowing them to stay, they take up the offer.
Later that day however, the centipede demon comes to the village and attacks, searching for the group and the Jewel they unknowingly have. The group run back to the forest and the demon gives chase. They reach the tree with the half-demon and stop. Suddenly, Inuyasha speaks and tells them to free him. Before they could, the centipede wraps her body around them and pins them to the tree. Kaitlyn, being the closest to Inuyasha, pulls out the arrow like instructed and he starts fighting the demon. In all the midst of all the chaos, Kaitlyn was hurt and the jewel flew out of her body. Before the group could grab it, a demon bird grabs it in it's mouth and swallows it. The bird's appearance changes completely and Inuyasha, in an attempt to kill it, merely cuts off it's leg. The priestess then shows up but gets in the way of Inuyasha and the centipede's battle and is knocked out. Kaitlyn, in an attempt to get the jewel back, grabs the priestesses bow and an arrow. One of the group points out the cut off leg flying back to the bird and Kaitlyn aims at it. She fires and surprisingly, the arrow goes through the leg. When the arrow hits the bird a pink light filled the sky as the now broken jewel shards fly everywhere in Edo. Inuyasha kills the centipede then goes to kill Kaitlyn, angry at what she did. The priestess, awake now, mutters a charm and a black and white necklace appears around Inuyasha's neck. The priestess then yells at the group to say the magic word and the necklace would work like a charm. The group all look at each other than Inuyasha and think of something. All at once, they yell out 'sit' and Inuyasha, in the air, is pulled to the ground by the necklace and makes a rather big hole in the ground. Later on, the priestess tells them about what the Jewel is capable of and says they must find it. The group agrees and Inuyasha is forced to join them. The Quest for the Shikon No Tama has just started.

No Mary/Gary sues: No on is perfect. We all have our flaws and I expect your characters to as well.
No god-modding or power-playing: Everyone here is human [except for Inuyasha of course]. This may be confusing since this is under the Fantasy section but that's only because most of this RP will take place in a world of demons, magic, shrines, etc.
Post once every three days: I will uphold this rule. I don't want this RP to die before it even began. If you think you'll be gone for a long period of time, please PM me and I'll give you a recap once you get back.
One character per person: I want many people who are interested in this to be able to play. So, you can only play a maximum of one characters. However, if you wish to play a friend of Riko's AND Inuyasha, PM me and we'll talk.
Don't play another person's character: Keep to the characters you created. I don't want complaints about someone controlling another roleplayers character. This rule can be broken, however, if someone is banned or quits this RP. If you wish to claim their character, PM me.
Nothing above PG-14: I don't care if their's kissing and hugging but if it becomes to mature, either fade away or take it to PM. No one wants to know what goes on behind closed doors.
Have fun!: This is by far the most important rule. I don't anyone feeling that they have to roleplay on this thread. If you get bored, have to many RP's, or anything that will make you feel pressured or something, PM me and you can quit.
These rules WILL be in-forced. Everyone gets three chances but once you used up your last one, your banned and your character is allowed to be take by someone else.
