Sunrise City, the home to thousands of hard working citizens, as well as a great many criminal elements. Like any big city, crime is a poison that festers within the lower income areas especially. Unbeknownst to the citizens of the city, a group of individuals within the city itself are plotting a scheme that would cement their status as the "Lords" of the city. These individuals belong to a fairly expansive group of men and women, whom with their wealth and ruthlessness have wronged many, whether it be stealing from them, extortion, or murder.
Meanwhile, Star Labs completed the particle accelerator, a feat which would bring about a new Era in the scientific community. In theory, this achievement would bring about an explosion of new technologies and expand everything known in the many scientific fields. Unfortunately, the accelerator malfunctioned and exploded, creating an intense light that shot into the sky, and sent out a Shockwave that wiped out several city blocks. The storm that ensued from the incident only seemed to make matters worse. Yet, the destruction causes an unexpected side effect. Several individuals have begun to display strange super human Abilities. These individuals are being referred to as Meta-humans, by Star Labs, whom is working on containing and studying these individuals.
For now, the city is dying, and with the events that have recently transpired, something must be done. This is where you come in. From your various backgrounds, your different goals and methods, you have arrived at a crossroads. Do you use your skills and/or Abilities to benefit your fellow man, to clean up the crime in the streets? Or do you do something more? Or maybe, you wish to join in on the chaos. It's up to you.
Rules:
The rules are pretty simple. All of the standard site rules apply.
Your powers, if you have them, can be just about anything. I would prefer no one be immortal, and that your powers not too amazing.
You must have viable Weaknesses that I and the opposition can exploit.
Please be kind to the other players.

I am going to trust you guys to elaborate on who your character is, where they've been, what they've done, and what kind of goals they have in character. I feel it adds more depth and character to them when it's done IC.
