The Purge (Sign Ups/OOC)

This is not a test.

This is your Emergency Broadcast System announcing the commencement of the Annual Purge sanctioned by the U.S Government.

Weapons of Class 4 and lower have been authorized for using during the Purge. All other weapons are restricted.

Government officials of ranking 10 have been granted immunity of the Purge and shall not be harmed.

Commencing at the siren, any and all crime, including murder, will be legal for 12 continuous hours.

Police, fire, and all emergency vehicle services will be unavailable until tomorrow morning at 7 AM when the Purge concludes.

Blessed be our new Founding Fathers and America, a nation reborn.

Strong language, violence, kidnapping, murders, and dark themes will be suggested.

Rules
1. No god mode, everyone has the chance to die in the role play.
2. Please do not leave one liners, there will be a lot going on in the scenarios that your character but themselves in. Not everyone is going to be at the same place at the same time.
3. Romance is not recommended, unless characters are married/in a relationship and they have to survive together.
4. No kids allowed in the role play, characters should be over the age of 18. I can't allow myself to have younger kids in the Purge.
5. You may have up to two characters, four is the maximum.

Damien Cusano

At the age of 21, he had taken over his father's business since his father was killed one year of the Purge. His mother wanted to take over the company, but in his father's will, it was Damien's right to take it. So, at a young age, he took it and became in control of one of the biggest casinos and hotels located in Las Vegas, NV. The money he had saved throughout the years, saved him from the Purge ever since he took over the business. He had high security, so no one ever broke into his business. They would have died trying anyway. People have, and no one ever succeeded.

Of course, something was deeper about Damien. Something was more twisted within him that no one could figure out. The man was completely secretive, never sharing anything with anyone, not even his own business partner. The Purge was going to play out differently this yea, and he was going to be sure that no one ever wanted to mess with him ever again.

Elizabeth grew up in Reno, NV. She always hated the small town, so she always begged her parents to have continuous trips to Las Vegas every time they could. They wanted to keep her daughter happy, so they just allowed the trips to happen. When she got out of high school, she made her own decision to move to the city completely.

When she was 18, she started going to school to UNLV to start learning about business and how it worked. She meets Damien when she turned 21, in the casino he owns, he was playing poker at the same table she was playing at. They started talking about business, and she was dissing on the way he was running his casino. Giving him pointers of ways to run the place better, he actually managed to have her stick around to see if her suggestions worked. When they did, he offered her a position that she couldn't refuse. They became partners in running the business, and it has been smooth sailing.

The Purge was always a waste a time to her, since she never joined in. She would sit in the office during the Purge, allowing herself to get work done that she normally couldn't any other day. The people who worked in the casino were always safe if they decided to stay in the building. Some chose to go home to their families, making sure that they were safe. Elizabeth just stayed in the office, staying with Damien to keep him company.

Setting

In the city of Las Vegas, where the city never sleeps. The Purge makes it no different. There are different things that happen in this city during the night of the Purge. Gambling with lives instead of money, underground mobs spring out from no where, and just scary things happen in the city of sin. No one was safe unless they were in high security homes, or businesses. When they didn't have that luxury, they would go in hiding in hopes that no one finds them and starts messing with them for fun. The time is now 6 o'clock, so one more hour until the city was going to be in complete chaos.
