Rosa was still breathing heavily despite Exis telling her to get up. Cain on the other had sat up and was looking between Exis and Rosa worriedly.
"Rosa.."
He says with before she raised her hand up, her chest slowly returning to a normal breathing speed. Pushing herself up with her arms, she made herself sit up. Her turquoise orbs resting on the white haired Sydacite member as he said his thanks.
"No problem. You helped us, it was the least I could do.."
The brunette responds with a smile that quickly fell as a throb pulsed through her ankle.
"..I might need help getting up..."
Cain stuck his hand out to help her but she just shook her head, she was too big for him to help. Wincing a little, she tried to stand up on her own. But the moment she tried to put any weight on her bad ankle, she fell to a knee with a groan.
"...Jeez Exis, why did you have to be so freaking heavy!"
She muttered angrily under her breath. Because she taxed herself with carrying him, it hurt her more. Rubbing her temples, she tried to think of a way to walk on her own without Exis's help.

Exis sighed at the sorry sight of Rosa. Even if he helped her get up, where would they get supplies to heal that ankle? He certainly didn't know any Cure spells, and he didn't have any potions...

Exis sighed. He hoped he wouldn't have had to resort to this, but it seemed he had no choice.

"Stay there, don't move," he ordered. He walked to one of the rather strangely-shaped houses nearby, and knocked on the door a couple of times.

...No response. They were probably still asleep.

That was enough of an invitation for him, though. Without warning he kicked the door with surprising force several times, before it finally gave, and fell to the ground. As soon as he stepped foot in the house, several scared screams could be heard from up the stairs. Not one minute later, a large, burly man carrying a small gun came down the stairs.

He was about to say something, but Exis interrupted him. "You. Do you have any Potions or something in here?"

The man shook his head. "We ain't givin' shit to a filthy robber like you. Get lost!" he shouted. Clearly, he was confident because he assumed Exis was unarmed. However the Nobody was unfazed, deciding to move ahead and search the house for some himself.

The man did not hesitate any longer, and pulled the trigger of the gun. Exis reacted in a split second, summoning Exodus and slicing the oncoming bullet right in half. The man was astounded, and was about to pull the trigger again when Exis launched his sword at him like a lance. The blade pierced his shoulder, causing him to let go of the gun and scream out in pain.

Exis scoffed. Turning away from the man, whose crying wife came down to try and help him, he began to raid the closets and shelves for potions.

By the end of it, he'd managed to find three Potions, and drank one himself before proceeding to walk out of the house. He yawned casually as if nothing had just happened, and dropped the two stolen potions in front of Rosa.

"There. One of those should fix you up completely."

"Stay here. Don't move."
Exis said before he walked off, Rosa did not have to be told that. She didn't want to move. But her brother helped get her to rest her back against a wall.
The young boy resting his head on her lap while she ran her fingers through his hair. Humming softly to him as his eyes began to droop until they closed completely.
Somehow she had managed to get the cloak off her body and had draped it over Cain, who was fast asleep. In the distance, she heard a gunshot. Immediately she thought of Exis. He probably tried to rob someone. The only thought she had at that moment was that he didn't get shot...
For her brother's sake.
The young boy had grown attached to him. Then again, he was kind of like their older brother. Both were dicks. But at least one of them had their moments more frequently.
Before her thoughts could continue, two weirdly shaped bottles were dropped in front of her.
"There. One of those should fix you up completely."
Exis's voice reaching her ears while she looked up at him. Gently she grabbed them and opened one before putting it to her lips. For a moment she was still, as if making a silent prayer, then she downed it quick like medicine. Which it was. But at least the bad taste didn't stay.
She felt it course through her veins and rejuvenate her. Kind of like Dr. Pepper.
Scoping her younger brother in her arms, the unused potion in his lap, and stood up. Her ankle didn't even throb when her weight was on.
"Thank you."

At last, Exis thought, he was done. Finally, he could go back and get some sleep, with the Keyblader more or less safe. Or at least alive.

He took his cloak off of the sleeping Cain and slipped back into it, the comfortable touch of the black cloth making him feel more at ease. However, something was bothering him. The pain in his chest. It was very minor, if but an irritation, but it was still there. The Potion should have gotten rid of it, he thought.

Now was not the time for that, however. With his cloak back on, he slung his hood over his head.

"Right. Now that you're finally safe, keep a few things in mind. First off: kill as many Heartless as you can. While it's true that the Keyblade attracts Heartless, there's a reason for that: it's practically a Heartless-killing machine. If you wanna keep your brother safe, fighting Heartless is the best way to do it. When you run, they'll just want to hunt you down even more," he explained.

"Secondly: stay the hell away from Nobodies. That means people with black cloaks like me and Xaved, as well as those white monsters. All of us are Nobodies, capital N, and we will hunt you down if we can. However, unlike the Heartless, we can't track you, so you should run when you see us. Plus, you'll probably just end up dead if you try."

"Lastly. For crying out loud, when people say 'little', most of the time, they don't literally mean that you're little. And even if they do, don't go around attacking people for such a stupid reason. I might need to bring you to another Heartless hotspot later."

With that out of the way, Exis realized something. When he got back, it wouldn't be all sunshine and daisies. He remembered that he had opposed Xaved back on Earth, an act for which he would surely get punished.

He mentally shrugged. What more could they do to him other than inflict pain anyway? He couldn't really care less about that. Reassuring himself in this way, he opened another dark corridor.

Rosa listened to him as he told her some ground rules to keep in mind. Mostly to slay any Heartless she saw, stay away from Nobodies.... The last one, she choose to let slide for Exis. He made... A fairly decent point... Plus he wasn't going to be going home to a welcoming bunch. Since he did attack on of his.. Co-workers.
Again, his hand rose as he summoned another dark corridor.
"Stay safe.. I don't want to tell Cain that you were anything but alive."
She said before turning toward a the more lighted half of the town. The merchant district where the inns would most likely be. Adjusting her hold on Cain, she began walking in that direction. Holding her brother close to her, it would not be that hard to someone to let them use a room for the night. Especially with how Rosa could be pretty cunning when she wanted to be.
As the darkened parts of the residential area began to lighten up the closure she got to the inns.
Where the owners were a sweet couple let them take a room, simply because she had an unconscious boy in her hands. Thus, after she had laid Cain down in a bed, she sat with the couple a long while. Telling them about everything that had happened to her and her brother. And they shared a look of knowing before they ushered the sleepy Rosa off to bed.
As Rosa sleep with her brother curled up against her, the young couple talked amongst themselves in the kitchen. They would call a friend of theirs in the morning to see if he could help the siblings. Specifically Rosa with her keyblade.

Exis sat down on the dark, transparent ground of the dark corridor. He turned the knob on his headphones to the max setting, and sighed.

He might have felt relieved that his time with Rosa was over for now, if not for the knowledge of imminent punishment when he reached headquarters. So, he decided he'd spend a little more time than necessary in the dark corridor, to postpone his inevitable fate.

Still, despite the trouble he'd gone through to get one, he managed to find a Keyblader. They may not have been on the best terms, but Exis hoped she'd have the common sense to side with him once again if they met. His behavior back then may have been a bit more rash than usual; he probably could have done a better job at keeping his true motives hidden. Regardless, if Rosa was smart enough to know she had to do anything to survive, she would choose to side with him again, which was what he was counting on.

In the meantime, Exis supposed, all he could do was keep searching. With that thought in mind, he got up and slowly marched towards the light.

Xaved looked around. No cloaked figure or Keyblade wielder in sight.

"Bastards... must have escaped already," he noted, looking to the sky. The dark hole had sucked up most of this world, leaving but a small island of pavement floating, on which Xaved stood. The burly man looked to his minion Nobodies.

"Our job is done here," he said, after which the Nobodies disappeared. This left only him. Xaved held out a hand, summoning a dark corridor of his own. He stepped forward to move into it, but-

"Kehehehe..."

Xaved stopped in his tracks as he heard the eerie cackle. He couldn't pinpoint its source, and looked around frantically for it, as it grew ever louder.

"Show yourself!" he ordered. The only response he received was more laughter, growing so loud that it sounded almost like it was right next to him.

Then, as suddenly as it had began, it stopped. Xaved looked back to the portal, and found that he was no longer alone. Before him stood a cloaked boy, about Exis's height and build. The glint of red eyes shone underneath his hood.

"Exis! You'll pay for before," Xaved declared, summoning his hammer.

"Kehe... Exis? Who's that?" the boy asked. His voice sounded like the grinding of sandpaper, and his tone was malicious.

"My... he is quite powerful... is he not?" The boy seemed to be talking to himself. The more Xaved listened to him speak, the more he found himself feeling... fear.

"Who the hell-"

"Yes... yes he is... kehe. I bet he'd be very... tasty!"

Xaved stepped back in horror. "N-hey, what are you- no, stop! NO!"

The light from the sun shining through the window and the sizzling of bacon brought Rosa to the land of the living. Her turquoise eyes lazily blinking themselves open as she woke up. Finally noticing that her brother was not in her arms where he had been when she had fallen asleep. Sitting up with a start she looked around the room in a panic.
"Cain!"
She yelled before stumbling off the bed and out of the room. Catching her balance as she kept moving forward. Looking around frantically for her brother. Where was he? Was he alright? She should have been more aware! While she shuffled down the steps she finally saw her brother sitting on a chair at the kitchen counter.
"Cain! What the hell do you think you're doing!? Do you know how worried I was!?"
She said, her voice raising an octave as she was extremely upset. Cain only looked confused at her behavior. He had only came downstairs for breakfast. He didn't understand why she was so upset.
"I'm sorry Rosa, he didn't want to wake you until breakfast was done."
A sweet voice chimed in causing her to remember why they were there. This was an inn. The couple had taken them in and gave them a place to stay. With a sigh, the brunette sat down next to her brother. Her hands rubbing her face tiredly.
"It's okay. "
"There's something I wanted to talk to you about Rosa. About a place where you and Cain could stay."

The woman explained while she continued to cook the sizzling bacon, sometimes flipping the pancakes on the other pan next to the bacon.

Exis had expected at least three members waiting for him at the other side of the dark corridor. He'd expected these three members to then forcefully deliver him to Atox, the boss, to receive judgement. From there, two things could have happened: he would be turned into a Lesser (which was the less likely of the two options) or he'd be forced to fight countless Lesser Nobodies until he was beaten half to death.

But there were no Syndicate members waiting for him on the other side. The radiant twilight sun was the only thing to greet Exis as he stepped into Twilight City. To his right, a stinking dumpster. To his left, a graffiti-covered wall. This stinky, narrow alleyway was nothing other than the entrance to the Syndicate's hideout. When he'd first laid eyes upon the place, he could remember thinking to himself, 'Pathetic, I'm sure the original Organization could've done better than this'. He still hadn't gotten used to the awful stench of the place, but it didn't bother him nearly as much as the absence of the Syndicate's members.

Perhaps, he thought, he'd gotten off the hook. He wasn't out of the woods yet, however; they could still be waiting for him downstairs.

Exis made his way to a door on the wall to his left, and opened it up. Behind it was nothing but a brick wall. It was supposed to look inconspicuous, but Exis thought it just made the place look even more suspicious. He proceeded to place his chest against the wall. After a few brief moments of standing in this awkward position, a small beep could be heard from the wall and it dissipated, revealing a stark white elevator.

Exis rode the elevator down. The trip, as usual, seemed to last an eternity. He often wondered exactly how far underground the base was in the first place. Finally, the doors opened. Maybe, he thought, they'd be waiting for him here. But they weren't. Sighing in relief, he walked into the base.

After what felt like yet another eternity of walking through the large, complicated underground base, Exis shut the door to his room with a loud slam. He flopped down onto his bed, exhausted.

That was when the door suddenly burst open. Exis gulped, readying himself for his impending fate.

"Yo, Exis. You hear?" Lyxek asked casually. Exis slowly turned to the orange-haired young man, seeing his usual dopey expression. For some reason, this guy always insisted on making small talk with the new members, even though Exis wanted to be left alone. Normally he would've just shrugged him off, but right now...

"Uh... what?" he replied.

"It's Xaved, yo. He just came back all bruised 'n cut 'n shit," Lyxek replied.

"...Eh?"

~~~~
"Hold up, hold up, hold the hell up." Exis, dumbfounded, pointed to the scrawny man lying on the bed unconscious. "This is Xaved?!"
The two other men in the room besides Lyxek and Exis were silent. In the corner lay Xaved's large cloak, along with a big suit of armor. The picture being painted here was ridiculous.
"Yup. Didn't ya know?" Lyxek replied. "Xaved's tough as hell in his element, but take that away from him and even I could beat him up."
One of the other cloaked men exited the room without so much as a word. The second, a man with long brown hair and spectacles, sat next to Xaved to tend to his wounds.
"It looks like he's in a coma. I wouldn't say he'd wake up any time soon," Ximer decreed, tying the last bandage around his leg.
"Exis, I brought you here because the Lesser Nobodies reported seeing you on Earth, where Xaved was stationed. What were you doing there?"
Exis smirked. "What, you think I did this to him? You gotta be kidding me," Exis said. "You think I wanna get turned into a Lesser? I'm not as dumb as your poser friend over here." He pointed briefly to an oblivious Lyxek. "Besides, I couldn't do this to him even if I wanted to."
Ximer was undeterred. "What were you doing there?"
Neither was Exis. "None of your damn business."
Without another word, Exis left the room. Ximer frowned, looking to Lyxek. "Better report this to Atox, boy. We'll have to shorten that kid's leash a little."
