The Next Eden

For hundreds of years, everyone knew it was coming already. One way or another, it was sure to come; whether it was going to be their star exploding, the ozone layer completely breaking, the oceans rising to flood the land, even a possible meteor coming to crush the cities; the end of the Earth. Although humanity prepared the best they could for any possible disaster to either prolong the inevitable.

However, nothing could've prepared them for what was to come. The year was 2493, life of everyone on Earth was going on as normal as it always was; without so much as the slightest warning though, the skies quickly darkened as the very moon and sun was quickly shielded by massive triangular shaped ships. The shock the filled the planet caused absolute silence to spread throughout the planet for a few moments before strange creatures of all different shapes and sizes began to descend from the sky and started to mass murder innocent civilians all around the globe.

It was only out of a miracle that as cities all around the planet started to crumble and the military being defeated left and right from all around the world that humans were able to sneak off into hiding within the mountains of China, Everest, Mt. Fuji and even Mt. Rushmore. Hiding off within these very places were the last remaining numbers of humanity and where they lived for several years during the time that a new secret project finally came to light for the public to know about. Project ARK and Project EDEN. These project was supposed to remain a secret until it was confirmed the day that the planet was going to end because of some kind of other disaster aside from being attacked by an unknown enemy like this.

Though, with the circumstances as they were; the projects were rushed all that much more to be completed. Project ARK was to create multiple intergalactic ships that was able to leave the planet's atmosphere with ease so that ordinary humans wouldn't need any sort of training to be able to climb into the ship and leave the planet into space without any side affects or pain.

Project EDEN at this point was already near it's completion, there being hundreds of thousands of workers and scientists far off into space away from planet Earth, building a gigantic space station that was going to be able to hold the entire population of the Earth without the concern of any other natural disasters but as well as to slightly simulate a close representation of Earth.

With the rush of the completion of both projects, in a year to two time span; the projects were fully finished and by this point, the ships that invaded Earth had left yet the unknown threat roamed the planet in search of survivors that they killed or did worse to. Their technology littered the planet all over, and any of those who attempted escape from being imprisoned were killed off without the slightest thought of remorse.

As the day finally came to leave the planet, each of the mountains began to open massive hanger like doors on the side of the mountains to allow the ships known as ARKs to leave the planet. Due to the technology and how desperate humanity had been, the ships were able to leave orbit without too much damage done to them by the cannons that the unknown threat had planted onto the surface all over the planet. Being able to finally escape Earth and eventually reach the giant space station, life slowly began to return to normal.

It was only a matter of time that the space station that was supposed to considered a new Earth became well known throughout the universe to even other races. Slowly enough, one after another of other races started to pour into the station asking and pleading for assistance due to how their situations had become similar because of the same exact threat that humanity had also faced. Of course, this took a while of debating between government officials but yet eventually it came to an agreement that these alien races were allowed to join into the new home of humanity and soon enough gaining the same rights as humans; even if it might've taken quite the long amount of time due to the distrust in aliens after the invasion of Earth.​

It had been three days now and not a single word had been heard from within the contaminated zone; the United Council was becoming impatient with the lack of results that SATU was providing with investigating the area with permission to a certain degree to enter the zone.
After calling for a meeting with the Commander of the SATU units and begin scolded, the SATU were stripped of their ability to assist any further on the station until further notice.

However, with the danger of the unknown still lurking within the contaminated zone; the Council has come to an agreement with one another that the SATU are allowed to enter the area once more but only if they go with the MDS together and follow regulations of whatever the MDS tell the SATU units to do. Reluctantly, the Commander agreed to these terms due to the disappearance of the previous fireteam he had sent into the zone and still no response or report had returned during the three days they had been gone.

The Commander brought with him the best of his SATU units for this very mission as well as joining in personally to hope and acquire some information about what had happened in there.

By the orders from the Council, the Commander was to meet up with the MDS group that was to lead them into the sector at the hanger bay at the deepest level of the station where the contamination met with the rest of the station and was properly being sealed back by an overly large bulkhead door.

Standing with his arms crossed and his foot tapping against the metal plating of the ledge at the hanger bay where he was to meet up with the MDS squad that was to lead him and his team into the sector, Axel only turned his head over his shoulder towards the large bulkhead doors where two MDS guards dressed from head to toe in an massive oversized mechanized suit with each of them carrying a minigun in hand stood side by side.
Clearing his throat Axel only turned to face the two guards that barely paid any mind to him even knowing he was the Commander of the SATU units.

"So, are this 'team' going to be arriving any time soon?"

After questioning the two guards, they stayed silent and barely so much as even give a glance at him.
Sighing at the fact that he wasn't going to get an answer, the silver haired male simply began to pace left to right beside the bulkhead doors. Whether the other members of his team had decided to suit up now or not was their own decision while as for Axel he had de. ided that when the MDS group had arrived and they entered the sector is when he was suit up.

Leon Okada​

Another day, another problem.
Leon ran through his usual morning routine in a rush, as he was tasked to collaborate with none other than the SATU, and by the looks of things, with their commander no less! The Council was pretty vague about it, most likely because the SATU was vague with them. The gist of it was something related to MIA units. The problem lied in the fact that they got lost in the contaminated zone. It seemed to be a rather busy day for everyone, even his lieutenant was in the middle of a heavy pile of work. So, he just put a request for a couple of units, adding some filters, so that he didn't accidentally dragged fresh recruits to the contaminated zone. As for himself, Leon used his personal vehicle to fly to the rendezvous point.

Once he arrived at the hangar bay, he jumped out the ship, landing a couple of meters to the left of Axel. He was carrying what looked like two large briefcases, which he silently put on the floor before fully standing up. He was wearing his own special suit, but the helmet was retracted at the moment. The guards immediately freed one of their hands to salute Leon, gesture which he reciprocated.
It was then that he turned to the other person in the bay. He wasn't eager to start arguing after such a busy morning, so he opted to attempt to not provoke the commander. "Commander..." he said, as he set the autopilot of his ship to return to HQ. Upon a quick body language check, from which Leon deduced Axel was a little tired of waiting. To be fair, Leon was just informed of this meeting himself, so it was not like he had a call on when to arrive... But trying to reassure him a little, and while also gaining some info on the status of the SATU units who would join them today. "My units should be arriving soon with our transport... That said, where are yours?"
