"Metallica? Mom doesn't like me listening to that, but I suppose-" Janice starts to say when Laura presents the cassette album to her, but stops when the girl's attention is brought in the direction they had come from. As her powers didn't grant any kind of heightened t sensitivity to such things, she doesn't feel the first couple tremors like they do. All she sees is Laura behaving stranger than usual at first. The clerk is likewise perplexed.

"Um, is your friend like, okay?" The girl asks and the guy makes a movement to go up and ask her himself.

"Hey kid, are you-" He starts to ask but is very suddenly interuptted by the THOOM that is heard and felt stronger by the second. Janice sets her cassettes on the counter, saying to the clerks "We'll be back, promise." and she runs after Laura, concern all over her face. Her mind goes instantly to a bomb being the cause of the tremors. Not that she's witnessed anything that blew up with such force.

"Laura! What's going on?" Janice asks, and her question is very much answered when the front doors of the mall are literally ripped apart in the wake of the mountain of a man. The redhead shrieks, falls back on her butt and her eyes go wide as she struggles to fathom what is going on. Her fear and confusion snowballs as she watches Laura retract her claws, then Piotr and Jay arriving; Jay taking the bold first step of attacking this being of what looks to be pure muscle with his power. Followed immediately by Colt.

What can I do? She thinks, looking at the enormous man. Still on the floor, she looks down at her hands, and sees they are shaking. What can I do? I've never tried to hurt anybody with my power. I just make things run and solder if I don't got my tools. She closes her eyes, feels out for the electricity coursing through this building, and wills it to gather in her hands. It comes out in visible arcs from ceiling lights that burst and into her hands. It's hot, makes her skin tingle as she does her best to hold it in a looping circuit. Her hair stands on end as she can no longer hold all the voltage in just her hands. The mall darkens as she pullls in more by the second.

Opening her eyes, Janice and others see the electricity arcing all over her body. She rises to her feet, and trembles visibly as she struggles to hold it all. She looks at Juggernaut, clenches her eyes closed tight, and sends all that she's gathered at Juggernaut. Janice thinks maybe it's the equivalent of a lightning bolt she'd thrown at him, but doesn't know for certain at all. It's at least a third of the mall's current power, the very limit she felt able to hold without burning off her clothes. The most certain thing she does know is it is a bright bolt of power headed towards him at the speed of light. It was too fast for someone as big as him to dodge.

Laura isn't one to be accustomed to working with others. Or, to a point, even congregating with others. The slight social advancements she's made in the short time this 'class' has been together is more than she has shown in the past few years, period. She doesn't yet know how to work within a cohesive unit. Or even in a classroom with others. Her upbringing (if that's what you call it), was little more than her being let out of the cage occasionally to kill. Not exactly the best way to build social skills. So when that immense threat presents itself in the mall the group has found itself in, she gives no thought to what the others might do. She, in her mind, designates herself to be the one to engage this particular hostile. It never occurs to her that the others would jump in also. She expects them to keep their distance, maybe even get away. But that's not what happens…

She decides she has to end this quickly. The man in brown armor is large, but he's still a man, right? So he's vulnerable just like all men (and women) are. Surgeon like slashes to vital areas (and arteries), and the threat is neutralized. And then dead. As the rest of the group starts to realize they need to do something, Laura is already going into a swift sprint towards Juggernaut. Who is busy looking over the pets in the petstore window. Her group now, almost as one, begin to formulate in their minds what they would do as individuals to stop this menace. But Laura is there suddenly, and with a loud "GRAH!" she slashes at one of Juggernaut's knees. And… she is genuinely taken aback, her eyes widening as… she doesn't cut through his armor? Well that's never happened before. She's never encountered anything that her claws couldn't slice through. She slices again and again, and stabs at his leg. But nothing, she can't get through that armor. For a moment she panics in her head… she doesn't know what to do.

"Hm?"
juggernaut murmurs, feeling something at his leg. He half turns to look towards the very tiny Laura, and he grins a little under his helmet. "Aw… lookit that. You Wolverine's bebe or something, kid?" She turns towards Laura as she glares up at him, and she then leaps up to swipe at his midsection. With no effect. As she is coming down from that leap, his very large hand whips out and he grabs her arms. He holds her up in front of him, the whole of his hand holding her arms, and she just dangles there. She lets out an angry snarl as she kicks her legs, as if trying to find ground. He draws her up so he's closer to eye level with her, speaking in a patronizing tone. "Metal claws and a piss poor attitude. Yep, you must be Wolverine's kid. He ever tell ya how I splattered him, sweetpea?" She glares defiantly towards him as she hangs helpless, and that's when Juggernaut cringes. His free hand comes up towards the side of his helmet, his ears being assaulted by Jay's… assaulted. "The hell… the one day we come for this thing and there's a mutie field trip?" He speaks louder than usual, feeling a little disoriented from the soundwave barrage. He looks in the direction of Piotr as he transforms… and he just sighs. "You kids're waaaaay out of yer league. Jus' leave me be an ya won't get hurt." But the moment he says that… he realizes there is a pyrokinetic like attack coming at him. He growls as he pulls Laura closer to him (still holding her in his hand), and his other hand comes up to deflect away the fire. Well block it. It almost looks like he's shielding Laura from the bursts of flame, those flames seeming to do nothing against his armor. But that attack is followed up by an immensely powerful electrical attack. He grits his teeth as the electricity cascades along his body, but he doesn't move. He continues to hold his free hand up, as it to keep the attacks at bay. Laura can feel the tips of her hair standing on end from the electrical discharge, as she still struggles. "Frickin muties! This's sposed ta be an easy job! Don't ya know who I am?! Don't ya know WHAT I am?! I'm Juggernaut, and I'm unstoppable! Wolverine and his crew can't do a damn thing to me, so ya'll got no chance! So back off!" As he watches Piotr getting closer. "We are not Wolverine and his crew, Juggs." Laura says suddenly, her form being held almost protectively close to Juggernaut's helmet. As if he were shielding her from the powerful flame, sound and electrical attacks.

With a frown he looks towards Laura, and seems like he's going to say something to her. But she draws her knees up, and she kicks her foot towards his face. She has figured out his armor can't be bested, the fact they stop her claws and all their attacks attest to that. But she can smell flesh being singed. His flesh. Flesh. Juggernaut's eyes widen as she kicks towards him… and with a SLAKT sound a blade extends suddenly from between her big toe and second toe, ruining her sweet sneakers. Juggernaut lets out a howl of pain as he is suddenly and unexpectedly stabbed right in the eyeball by Laura's foot blade. In anger he slams her down against the concrete, crushing much of her body with the impact. Lifting her back up, she dangles (seemingly) lifeless in his hand now, debris of the shattered concrete floor falling from her form. He backhanded tosses her away, and she lands in a heap about 15 feet away. Both of her forearms are crushed, and one of her legs is pointing in the wrong direction. She just lays there near a fountain, blood tricking from her eyes, ears, nose and mouth. And various little cuts along her body where her bones broke through her flesh (mostly at her arms and right leg).

Juggernaut's hand comes up to cover his eye, but he grins as he now turns to face Piotr (and as a result the rest of the mutants). "You can't hurt me, guys. Already my eye's healed, I can see again already." His hand comes down, and both hands form into fists as he glares towards them all. "Sorry I killed your friend, really really didn't want to. I mean that." His tone is surprisingly sincere. "Ya'll need ta learn bein the hero ain't what it's cracked up ta be. So go away, b'fore any more of ya are hurt." His ears are still ringing, but whatever damage Jay could have done with his attack would have been healed already. But the sensation of noise is still there.

Jo was about to say something else when Colt ran off towards the chaos. For a moment, Jo gave a loud sigh and wondered if she should do the same. From the sound of things, it appeared that the group had encountered something and started a fight. Jo took a deep breath and concentrated to figure out what was happening. By concentrating, Jo could extend her 'vision' past her normal perception, but this took a good amount of concentration. With this new perception, Jo was able to see Juggernaut fighting the other mutants as well as picking Laura up and swinging he around. Before she could get a clearer idea of what was happening a mall cop grabbed her arm.

"Excuse me sir," the cop started as he pulled Jo away from the chaos. "Please come with me. There's a mutant fight in the mall. I'll get you to safety." This situation was common for Jo. Most people dragged her around like a helpless doll. Couple that with the fact she was often mistaken for a guy and you get a nice recipe for utterly pissed off.

"Let go of me," Jo stated with a sting in her tone. She was not happy about the man pulling her towards the door. At first the cop didn't hear her, so she repeated herself. This time the cop dismissed her and continued to pull her towards the door. "I said LET GO OF ME!" With that, the metal on the cop's body propelled him backwards. Jo calmly walked towards the fight as people cleared the way. People seemed to get the message that she was a mutant as well and kept their distance.

Just as Jo got to the fighting, she saw Laura get thrown across the space. Jo turns towards Laura in shock. It appeared the Laura was dead, but the closer she looked the stranger things got. Jo noticed that Laura was putting herself back together. The metal in her body, while at first was misshaped, was now straight again. Jo watched a bit as she saw Colt escort a trio of frightened teens to the exit and the big Russian guy turn to metal...which she had to admit was rather interesting since it appeared she had some metallic pull on him.

The mutant causing the problems was strange. There was an armor around the guy which made him hard to detect. The mutant was blurry and undefined in her vision despite his size. Jo decided that she'd deal with the collateral damage. The mutant started to yell, but Jo ignored it all. Turning back towards the group tried to get someone's attention to figure out what exactly was happening, Just as she was making her way across the floor, the mutant appeared before her. Whether it was because he moved or she didn't notice him, Jo was standing barely 3 feet from the mutant. Instinctively, Jo put her hands up and the metal in the floor screamed until it lifted up to create a barrier between her and the mutant. By lifting the floor, she was also lifting the floor beneath Juggernaut.

Piotr Rasputin aka Tin Man

In the few moments it took him to talk to Janice, little ghost broke into a run at the huge armored man. Piotr simply stood there, feeling helpless as she was grabbed up. The others attacked Juggernaut as he called himself smashed her to pieces. For only a moment longer, he stood there, then he preceded to advance on the huge man. Piotr himself was near 7 foot tall in his armored form, the juggernaut was bigger still.

" Juggernaut you may be, but common thief and murderer you are. All this unstoppable power, you use to rob mall. You must have brain like walnut. "

Piotr had been warned that the world had stronger things in it than himself, Two of his teachers prepared him for this. He forced the horror of little ghost out of his mind and approached the huge horror, with the thought of keeping him busy. He would fight defensively using the skills he had been taught in the last year.

How to fight something that can't be harmed? His grandfather taught him to fight such bullies in the mind. Make his task unbearably difficult.

" Jay, if we cannot stop walnut brain monster, we stop what he does... .Whatever he wants to take, we take first yah ? ! Everyone, keep out of his reach ! Stop him from touching anything his walnut brain reaches for ! "

@Camleen @Ms.Ezra @alint @Sir Kaltao @KC

It's working! It's actually working! Jay thinks watching Juggernaut be affected by the sound waves assaulting his ears. Then Colt, Jo and Janice join in, and Jay feasts his eyes on quite a sight. Sound, fire, lightning, and metal coming together to stop this one-man wrecking crew in a real spectacle. He responds to their actions by turning the volume of his attack up a notch, expecting it to cripple him as his eardrums rupture on top of everything else hitting him.

To his dismay, this does nothing to stop the behemoth man from grabbing Laura and Jay ceases his assault abruptly. He had shook off all their attacks, and Jay feels even more helpless as he watches Laura get in a shot that does the most(if temporary)damage before the man renders her a broken mess with one throw. His eyes almost bug out looking over where Laura had been thrown. Thinking he has just seen a very violent death(forgetting for a moment her abilities) Jay realizes it is just as Juggernaut has said; they were way over their heads, and could die. Fight now no longer an option, Jay makes to run away with the others.

His feet are stopped by the voice of Piotr giving suggestions/orders. It was unreal. Had he not seen Laura be tossed and ended? Well obviously he has, but then how could he be remotely composed enough to talk tactics?

Regardless, Jay stops and looks around. "Right! On the lookout!" He fights his instinct to flee, looking for anything to tell them what Juggernaut was here for. And do what exactly? Just as Piotr had said and keep it away from him. How? That remained to be seen. Jay just feels compelled to stick with Piotr and the remaining others. Otherwise, what kind of 'hero' was he?

It then occurs to him that this feels somewhat familiar. It was like back in hockey training and matches, taking instructions from the coach about a play. The stakes were much higher than then, but it still felt similar.

Jay narrows his eyes, steels his nerves as he gets his head in the game and ready to pounce.

Janice watches her electric attack arc around Juggernaut's body, and worries that she 's hurting Laura until the man unintentionally protects her with his hand. She's a little too far and her hearing distorted by the crackle and zaps of current running around her to properly hear the banter Juggernaut and Laura are trading, and also too focused on controlling the power surging through her body.

When the last watt of energy is expelled from her hands, Janice falls to her knees breathing heavily as her body shakes. She immediately checks her hands, and to her relief finds they are not burned to a crisp as she had feared. In fact they were normal, unscathed. She looks up just in time to witness Laura claw at the man's eyes and be tossed away.

"LAURA!" Janice jumps to her feet and sprints to where Laura has landed, then stops dead in her tracks a moment, and runs to puke into the nearest garbage can. Seeing someone in Laura's state was yet another unexpected and very unpleasant development for the girl.

"Ugh.." Janice groans as she takes her head out of the garbage grimacing at the awful taste in her mouth. She turns back to where Laura lies and watches the even more bizarre sight of the girl healing from her grievous injuries. The sickening sound of bones snapping back in particular causes her to nearly vomit, but Janice holds it back and asks what is a well-meaning but redundant question of Laura.

"Are...you okay?" She asks coming to within inches of Laura, her eyes conveying her genuine worry for her friend and roommate, unaware that her hair is still standing on end and the residual field of energy around her likewise causes Laura's hair to do the same.

Juggernaut kind of rears up as Piotr speaks, calling him a walnut brain. He looks at Piotr oddly "You some kinda Ruskie're somethin? You a Commie, kid?" He starts to draw a veeery large fist back, but its then he hears the metal under him trembling, starting to move. His eyes go wide as the floor starts to draw up, lifting his impressive weight with it. He lets out an annoyed growl as he draws his fists up and swipes at the floor below him. It pretty much explodes with the sudden force, causing him to fall. With a ground trembling 'WHAM' he lands on the now concrete floor, standing slowly to his full height as he scowls towards the kids. "Now you brats're gettin on my nerves." he mutters. He hears Piotr's plan, and he smirks now. "Think yer so smart, Ruskie? Put this in yer own walnut brain." His eyes still on Piotr he turns, moving in the direction of one of the columns of the mall. "I'll just smash the foundation of this whole lame mall down on you and all of the innocent people that ain't got out." He presses his palm casually to the column, narrowing his eyes. "Think you can save everyone? Think a mall falling on me will effect me in the least? I'll just drudge through the rubble for what 'm after. And you'll have a ton of dead people on yer hands. You ain't old enough ta handle that kinda weight." As he speaks, the column starts to crack under the little amount of pressure he exerts against it. "Now scram, all of ya. The grown ups have things ta do."

And as Laura lays there off to the side, her body slowly pulls itself together. Bones draw back into proper alignment, skin heals where said bones had popped out, her face slowly reconstructs itself. She instictively moves her leg a little, allowing it to pop back in place. Her dark eyes flutter open as Janice gets near her.

She thinks she hears something.
Is someone there?
Am I somewhere?
Is this where I'm supposed to be?
What is my mission?
What is my mission?
What is my mission?

Errant thoughts come and go as she stares blankly towards nothing. Her eyes slowly come back into focus (one of her eyes actually reconstructing itself in her head), and she utters softly as she looks in Janice's general direction. "hfhwb siuhba knx, inaau" While Laura does speak a host of languages fluidly… that isn't one of them. Her will to communicate with Janice is so strong that she forces herself to words… before her brain has even knitted itself together fully. After a few moments she wrinkles her nose and utters "Your… breath.. smells.. pukey…" is all she can get out. She winces as she starts to sit up, and reaches to her side. "I do not think he liked me poking him in the eye, Janice." With a flinch she pulls a good sized piece of glass out of her side, tossing the blood covered former window aside. She then notices her hair is standing up a little, and she grins as she reaches up and runs her hands through it. "You tried to hurt him, you tried to help me." Her dark eyes then look to Janice as she nods "Thanks."

She sits up on her knees now, much of her face stained with her own blood, as well as patches of her clothes. She frowns a little as she tries to put the sleeve of her jacket back together, clearly displeased her gnarly clothes were pretty much ruined. Once more she looks towards Janice, then towards Juggernaut. She starts to push herself to her feet, wobbling a little as she does. She stares at the large armored man, and once more her claws extend from the back of her hands. She looks like she's about to start towards him… but she freezes suddenly, looking up with wide eyes. Her claws draw in, and she nods. Those eyes close a moment as she focuses her mind, and then she speaks as she starts towards one of the stairwells. "Stay close to everyone, Janice. Watch for me. And.." she glances over her shoulder to Janice "I do not think I like the mall." She shrugs and then goes into a sudden sprint, heading towards the stairs.

Jo wasn't expecting Juggernaut to smash the floor with such force. The shock wave of the punch sent her flying backwards as well as scraps of metal from the floor below. As she felt herself flying backwards, she tried to slow her momentum by reaching for the ground. Just as her hand skimmed the floor, she felt her back slam against something hard. The wind was knocked from her and she gasped trying to catch her breath. She hit one of the directory signs in the mall. The glass shattered and rained down on her, but none seemed to embed itself into her flesh. With a trembling hand, Jo sat up. She felt the glass shards push into her palm, but ignored that pain. Her head was spinning. She was trying to figure out which way was up and which was down. Her senses were knocked out of whack from the impact.

Just as she was getting her bearings back, Jo heard a voice in her head. "~Jo.. Janice.. Jay… listen to me very carefully. Get Juggernaut's attention… keep his focus away from Laura and Piotr. Amelia will help you. This is very important. Laura knows the risks of being in close when you all attack, and she is willing to endure it to help.~" Immediately, Jo grunted and replied back, "Yo, Prof, get out of my head." She was irritated and rather angry at getting thrown to the floor as well as being thrown into a fight that wasn't exactly hers. As she stands, Jo tries to brush off some of the glass. She could feel something damp slowly soaking her right hip. "F***," she states under her breath. Looking back towards the others Jo called out, "Hey technopath let's cause chaos." Her voice was a bit shaky, but completely audible. Against better judgement, Jo decided to stay and help. For some reason she felt an obligation to the others as they all faced Juggernaut.

Just as she stated, Jo raised her hands and the sounds of metal shifting and tearing apart filled the air. A piece of metal flew into the air along with another. Jo bent one into a coil then had it bend around her like a hula hoop. The other piece of metal was trapped inside the coil and started to follow the path similar to a train. Essentially, Jo was making a giant tesla coil around herself to produce electricity for Janice to manipulate. As the metal moved through the coil, sparks of electricity started branching out. This produced lightening and a sort of white noise. Jo hoped this electricity would be enough to allow Janice to hit Juggernaut. Jo's physical attacks would do nothing to him. While she could potentially knock him off his feet, she preferred to keep her distance.

Piotr Rasputin

" What a big man you are, to murder innocent people. Does it make you feel powerful, to kill them ? Maybe extra special feeling, your picture in the paper, big killer with brain like walnut. "

Piotr moves very close to Juggernaut, daring him to switch to attacking him instead.

" Did you ever have someone who loved you Walnut brain ? Wouldn't they be proud of murdering scum that you are now "

No Piotr knows he is poking the bear and is wary of the bear's next move.

~Jo.. Janice.. Jay… listen to me very carefully. Get Juggernaut's attention… keep his focus away from Laura and Piotr. Amelia will help you. This is very important. Laura knows the risks of being in close when you all attack, and she is willing to endure it to help.~

Jay felt weird, hearing a voice without actually hearing it or feeling it like he feels all other sounds. The teenager considers The Professor's instructions a moment before acting. While Piotr and Laura could probably take a hit from the guy, and Jo could tear up protection for herself, Jay wasn't about to move from his safe spot far outside Juggernaut's reach. His power didn't really make it necessary.

Seeing as a blast of sound didn't do much but irritate the guy, Jay knew he had to think of something else. And something that wouldn't also distract Piotr or Laura.

All Jay could think to do was inhale as much air as he could, purse his lips together, whistle the highest note he could, and raise it even higher to a shrieking C8 note. He then 'threw' that sound much like a ventriloquist throws their voice, at Juggernaut's head. The thing was likely proofed for all kinds of things, but if it was soundproof then he wouldn't hear a damn thing.

So now Juggernaut was hearing what was probably the most annoying and painful sound in the world, directly in both ears, possibly drowning out all other sounds.

Janice sees Laura playing with her hair, and with an embarrassed smile tries to brush hers down by hand. But that just creates more static. "Don't thank me. You're my friend, I'd-" Her expression of her friendly sentiments towards Laura are interrupted by the sudden intrusion of Professor Xavier into her mind. She watches Laura rise, hears her instruction to stick close to the others, and when she sprints gets up intent on following her.

Thankfully for her own sake, that is when the cavalry arrives. A blur of yellow comes in through the hole where the entrance had been, and for a moment Janice feels a strong arm around her waist, a hand on the back of her head, and rushing wind around her. It lasts only a moment and suddenly Janice is looking at Jo as she constructs that makeshift Tesla coil.

"Hey, sparkplug." A familiar voice says into her right ear. It's Mrs. Armstrong, but you wouldn't know by looking at her. At the moment she was wearing a blue and yellow jumpsuit, the blue forming an X across her chest. Her face was concealed by a matching helmet, goggles, and a yellow scarf covering her nose and mouth. "Get to work." she says, ruffling her hair before zooming off.

"Right!" Janice stands beside Jo and after a little struggling, sends the electricity produced toward Juggernaut, praying under her breath "God, please protect Pete and Laura." as she did her best to make the bolt arc around Piotr without touching him. She really didn't want to hurt any of her classmates, just Juggernaut for now.

Juggernaut grins widely as he flexes his fingers, his eyes upon Piotr. "Naw, kid. Being powerful makes me feel powerful!" As he flexes his fingers, the column crumbles a little more. Bits of debris fall from the ceiling, an effect cascading along the rest of the mall itself. Nothing falling that would crush anyone, per say, but enough to signal the whole of the building is on its last leg. The damage to its structural integrity is just to much.

Now he pushes away from the column, and he stalks towards Piotr. "I warned ya, I really wanted ya to just bugger off. But I guess you need a sp--" His words are cut off with a gasp as he rears up and stops, looking around himself as he frowns. Bits of metal flowing around his form, and for a moment he actually thinks he's in big trouble. He knows of a powerful mutant, a master of magnetism. He's heard of the man, and has been warned to steer clear of him. But it occurs to him… if he were here… he wouln't be subtle in fighting Juggernaut. He'd make a spectacle of it. Juggernaut's gaze snap towards the mutants just as Janice seems to appear with them out of thin air. "You kids are really starting to bother me." he mutters to himself. His eyes move towards Piotr, and then suddenly he is encompassed by those electrical surges amplified by the metallic resonators all around him. He doesn't move, but he also doesn't seem to be getting hurt much at all. Once more that grin starts to spread across his lips, and out of the corner of his eyes he looks towards Jo, Jay and Janice. As if silently warning them they'll need to step it up if they want to stop him. And that's just about exactly what Jay does. Juggernaut narrows his eyes as he is bombarded with that high pitched note. "Oh come on!" He shouts VERY loudly, since he can't hear anything else. He draws a foot up and stomps it to the ground, causing a tremble to resonate along the ground itself as he turns to face the trio. His hands whip out and he actually grabs some of the metal pieces flowing around him. Electricity dances up along his arms as he glares at them, as if to show they can't hurt him. Of course… he can't hear them either. Or anything. "Playtime's over!" He shouts as he growls.

And then the next step of the plan comes into play.

Seeming from nowhere Laura suddenly falls from on high, landing on one of Juggernaut's shoulders with perect balance. He turns his head as best be can (helmet and all), and his features seem to lighten. "Hey you're not dead!" the tone deaf monster shouts. "Yet!" he continues as he sends a jab from his opposite hand towards her. She leans down and ducks under it, scrambling along his shoulders. He lets go of the (effectively) electrodes and tries to turn, as if to try and catch her. He reaches back, but she continues to duck away from his hands, clinging to his very large back. She snarls as she draws a hand back, and her claws extend as she swipes at his helmet. The adamantium blades do absolutely nothing to the armored shell itself… but with the second swipe she isn't aiming for the shell. She's able to slide one of the thin blades in the tiny gap between his shoulders and helmet. Laura draws her hand back and swipes again in the very same spot. And as she does… the smell of burning flesh fills the air as her own body becomes a secondary conductor for the electricity. It seems to be attracted to her now extended claws, and is slowly cooking her from the inside. Fortunately, Jay's sonic attack is localized enough that she isn't hurt terribly by it. She 'hears' it of course, it's very very VERY annoying and giving her a headache, but nothing she can't deal with. The sizzling skin thing is much more on her mind. With a grunt she swipes again at the gap, the thin gap seeming to get just a little wider. With a third swipe there is a soft snapping sound, and she ducks under Juggernaut's hands once more as she swipes at the gap again and again. Another soft snap is heard.. and then another.

Darkness starts to creep into the edges of her vision, and she shouts as her claws draw in. She braces herself against Juggernaut, and leaps away, her skin still being singed and cooked in some places. "Piotr, sdelay eto seychas!" She speaks in Russian (with a very very convincing dialect), not wanting Juggernaut to have any clue as to what comes next. And speaking of the armored giant, he turns as Laura lands a few feet away, panting heavily as her body heals itself. She stares up at him, and once more her claws extend as she fully expects him to come after her. But… where her claw got into the gaps of his armor around his helmet.. said helmet seems to be loosened in those spots now…

Jo wasn't sure what to do about the entire situation. She felt a bit out of place as she moved the metal around creating electricity. As far as she could tell, they weren't doing much to stop the mutant. If anything, they were just making him angrier. Jo wondered why she was even helping. She could've just run and no one would've known the difference, but now she was stuck fighting this monster. Laura launched herself at the mutant and started stabbing her way through juggernaut's armor. For a moment, Jo thought Laura was actually going to get through Juggernaut's armor, but then she jumped away. When she heard the Russia, Jo wondered what the hell Laura said. It was a smart idea, not allowing Juggernaut to understand their plan, but Jo didn't know what they were planning either.

Jo wasn't sure what she was going to do if this fight lasted any more than another 20 minutes. She was already feeling tired. Her concentration was keeping electricity going, but she could feel her strength weakening. "Damn it," Jo said under her breath as she took a deep breath. As she turned her attention back on Juggernaut, she noticed that Laura made a small gap in his armor. Using her right hand to keep the metal moving, Jo used her left to pick up a small piece of metal. She launched it at the gap that Laura created. Jo used this small piece of metal like a wedge. Using this idea, Jo threw another piece of metal at the gap until there were several pieces that widened the gap Laura initially created.

Even as Laura managed her miraculous recovery Piotr is tilting his head. He nods to no one in particular. Then watches again as the others throw everything they can at the behemoth that is Juggernaut. He heard the professor's voice in his head, clearly and he would not disappoint.

Piotr still was a bit worried. There seemed to be a lot at stake here. His new friends.. the civilians. No... He.... Would....Not..... Fail

A light leap onto the shoulders of the bear. He had limited time before the bear got to him. He was not the clawed pixie of doom as his little ghost was. His armored hide would more than likely be sorely tested this day.

He stuck his fingers into two of the larger openings Laura had started and where nearby there were pieces of metal wedged skillfully into. He groaned at the effort, the angle was not good, the time not enough. He would have heard the groaning of the metal had not Jay made so much noise ! More so though he felt the helmet come off into his hands just as Juggernaut's hands found him and tossed him effortlessly away, helmet and all.

Success he thought briefly as ...Ooof He struck the ground with something like a bounce. He became very dizzy now, spinning wildly until he landed again and wrecked some sort of water feature.

The shrieking note that had been annoying and distracting Juggernaut stops abruptly when his helmet is pulled off. Only because Jay is still human and has run out of breath to keep whistling that initial note he then enhanced. He takes another breath, but then he sees a sign for that rare gem that was being exhibited and it clicks in his head. Why else would this big lummox be tearing into a small-time mall besides to get this?

And Piotr had suggested they go for whatever the dude was after. Which none of them have.

Until now. Jay sprints away from the scene of the fight, to the shop advertised as having the thing. It's deserted, because of the insanity going on, and the lights are off from Janice draining a lot of the power. Jay thinks for a moment to snatch up some good stuff, just because he can; but he stays on course for The Gem in its prominent display case. Jay shatters the glass with a soundwave, snatches it, and sprints back.

Jay gets back to the scene, and holds up the gem before shouting "Hey Roid Raaaage! Look what I got!" with a big michevious smile....that drops when he realizes what he's just done. "Oh...oh crap." He grimaces and makes a run for it away from the scene again.

That was really dumb! What the hell was I thinking? I wasn't! No way I thought that all through!

Whilst the chaos with Juggernaut continued in the main mall area, Colt had seemingly disappeared from view. Though he was in the middle of guiding a terrified woman and infant towards an emergency exit Colt felt frustration at not being able to help the other teens after seeing his own abilities fall far short of making the slightest of impacts on the overgrown ogre that was Juggernaut. Instead he had used the moment to survey the mall around them, confident that the previous three people he had told to run had made it to an exit. It was soon after however that he had heard the cries of a baby and the alarmed hushing of the mother as she hid behind the debris in a small gift shop. Making a run across the mall as the others kept Juggernaut occupied Colt scaled over the shops counter, finding the woman leaning over her baby as she tried to hush it.

"Please…my baby" The woman vocalised as she looked up as Colt landed beside her.

"C'mon, keep her close." Colt murmured as he glanced back up in time to feel the vibration from Juggernauts fall though close enough to the counter and in an enclosed space to be saved from much more. He could see some of the others, Jo standing back up and moving forward whilst Laura was seen to be heading in a though out position. Colt could see that they were handling Juggernaut, it left an opening for him to move the woman and her baby.

Pushing some fallen boxes out of the pathway Colt guided the woman to the side of the shops entrance and pointed out the path they would take, putting himself in between the woman and the fight as he counted out their timing to run for the exit. As he reached one the three took headed for the door, Colt making sure to shield the woman as he spotted a few metal objects lift from the ground, large communal bins and kiosk pieces drawn towards the fight. He felt his shoulder collide with a chuck of metal, feeling the impact and pull of his balance as he pushed the woman along, the two stumbling as the baby continued to cry.

"Keep going!" Colt shouted as he stumbled a few steps behind, grimacing as he touched a hand to his shoulder momentarily before trying to refocus on the task at hand, reaching the door and reaching beside the woman as she tried in vain to open the large door with one hand while cradling the baby. The handle pushed down but the door was fairly solid, Colt having to move the woman and hip and shoulder the door in a second effort before it finally swung open and he watched the terrified mother escape to safety. He had hesitated before turning back around, a moment in which he had paused to think of exactly why he wasn't right behind the people who had run from the mall. He owed absolutely nothing to anyone perhaps except for the professor and even then he had not made any solid promises in sticking around to please the old man. But then he had had heard the interaction of the group, different voices, all of them uniting to battle someone who was clearly beating the shit out of them. Half of them had wanted the opportunity, the others had not which included Colt. It seemed he couldn't acknowledge the good in himself despite turning around and jogging back to where the others were facing Juggernaut, Jo and Janice working impressively, Piotr and Laura putting themselves in the immediate vicinity of attack and Jay running past with some sort of gem…

He stopped short as Juggernaut rumbled past in chase to Jay, knowing he had no way of stopping the guy no matter the effort. Looking around the mall slowly he had noticed the destruction, rubble having caused a great deal of damage to the kiosks and shops. Ever the opportunist and perhaps not the best of choice making, Colt took the opportunity to walk casually back to where he had first been, climbing over the fallen debris in the small newsagency. He wasn't long, knowing exactly what he was looking for and after pulling a fallen magazine rack backwards he reached down grabbed two cartons of cigarettes. Tucking the boxes under his arm, Colt scaled back over the debris and back to where the remainder of the group were collecting themselves.

Janice feels her temples pulsing as the mental strain of controlling this much current is getting to her. Gritting her teeth and bearing through it was maintaing the electric attack for now, but not for much longer. Either Janice herself was going to give out mentally, or the metal was as it wasn't meant for this purpose.

Upon seeing the Juggernaut's helmet come off, Janice redirects the electric to go for his 'soft spots' like the eyes and mouth. Maybe that could do some more serious damage? Janice hears Jay say something to Juggernaut, but she is far too focused to register what he's doing at the moment.

While the teens are holding the Juggernaut, Amelia has been busy zooming throughout the mall evacuating anybody still inside. The battle has taken its toll on the structure, and if it keeps going might very well bring the place crumbling down. The civilians all find themselves gathered suddenly across the street with wind blasted hair, confusion mixing with the terror they were experiencing beforehand.

When she's made one last round around the mall, and even let Colt be a hero since he had the situation well in hand. Amelia comes skidding to a stop next to Jo and Janice. "Alright girls, now that his helmet's off, we can-" She is cut off by the arrival of Jay and his taunt. They have the same reaction at about the same time, though Amelia's exasperation is hidden by her scarf, which also muffles her saying "Jay....you idiot." the moment before running to catch up with the kid, appearing in front of him suddenly and stopping him with a palm to his forehead.

"Smooth kid, real smooth. Now let me take this, and get him off your back." Amelia says politely before snatching the gem out of his hand and running back to feet in front of Juggernaut. Nothing is said; Amelia only shows him that she now has the gem and stands still, ready for either Professor Xavier to begin his part of the plan, or run at a moments notice should he not be able to even with the helmet now on the floor.

With an angry roar accompanying the action, Juggernaut's helmet is pulled right off of his armor. The remaining latches are torn away, victim to Piotr's strength and determination. He swings an immense fist towards Piotr, blindly swiping at the younger man. They would now see his true face, the face of Cain Marko. He is clearly angry, practically enraged at this point. His head is shaved clean, his faint beard showing bits of grey in it. And as said helmet is removed, the attacks from the young mutants continue in full. He swats at the metal braces flowing around him, thanks to Jo. They would see his skin being scorched by Janice's electrical barrage, but healing almost immediately.

And with that, his gaze snaps in the direction of Jan and Jo. And he then starts towards them, flexing his very large hands as she scowls at them. He looks like he is about to simply leap at them, but that's when he notices Jay and that gem. "Hey!" He growls, now turning towards the fleeing Jay. "Stupid. Kid." His upper body leans forward, and he now dashes in the direction Jay is moving. He doesn't bother going around whatever debris or furnishings would be in his path, he simply goes through them without slowing in the least. And that's when Amelia makes her appearance. Juggernaut skids to a stop, concrete coming up at his feet from the slow of momentum. He stands to his full… well very tall.. height, glaring down at Amelia as she faces him. "hmph." He mutters as he scowls at her. "So, Chuck did send these punks out ta stop me, huh?" He takes a single step towards Amelia, covering the distance between them in that one step. "You got any more X-Men around here, sweetheart? Tom wants that gem, so I'll give ya one chance." he holds his hand out, expecting her to give it to him.

Laura gets to her feet by now, her pretty clothing stained with her blood. Her claws are still extended as she stares at Juggernaut's back. Could she get to him quick enough to take his head off, now that the awful helmet is out of the way? For a few moments she considers that… but her dark eyes then move towards the others of her group. None of them really got hurt (at least not like she did), but they are all obviously exhausted. She casts her gaze towards Juggernaut and Amelia… and her claws slowly retract into her hands. She moves towards Piotr first, and she grabs one of his arms and tries to pull him out of the fountain. Of course it's all she can do to just lift his arm. She grunts angrily as she tries to get him up, her gaze flicking towards Juggernaut every few moments, and then the rest of the group, as if to make sure Cain isn't going for any of them.

But then…

"When I was little ice cream wasn't good for me. Or mice." His stance starts to relax as he continues. "I always hated him, he got everything. And all I got was the belt." He now stands slowly, motioning to his waist. "A belt holds trousers up. And away." Now his speech starts to slur a little. He takes something of a stumbling step forward, and then right passed Amelia, staring at nothing. "Moments.. tears… rain…" His eyes roll into the back of his head… and he just falls forward flat on his face. And when he falls, there is a small tremor that goes through the building.

Still holding onto Piotr's forearm, Laura just stares at the sight. She looks towards the others of her group, then towards Amelia. How… did Amelia do that?

Jo wasn't sure what to make of the rest of the group. She knew by the sounds of exaggerated breathing that most were exhausted. She was also tired from using her powers for so long. As she continued to generate electricity for Janice, Jo noticed Laura move towards Piotr. She seemed so small, trying to lift the giant. Jo kept her guard up as Juggernaut began to talk. It was something like a child getting upset with their parent and Jo wondered if it was something Amelia was doing. It didn't matter because whatever it was, it stopped the behemoth. Jo stopped the metal in the air and took a breather. Her muscles ached and trembled slightly and her mind was a bit fuzzy. Since her 'sight' was linked to her powers, it was also fuzzy, but she didn't want anyone to notice. Moving towards Laura and Piotr, Jo moved to the other side of the giant and draped an arm over her shoulder. Laura was unnaturally strong which allowed her to lift the Russian, while Jo used her powers to lift him up. "Hey, give us a hand. You're like three times bigger than both of us," Jo stated hoping Piotr would wake up and stand on his own.

Jo turned to Laura and continued, "What now? I'm about ready to sleep for a year." Her voice was soft as she helped Laura moved Piotr from the fountain. She wondered if they were going to be lectured about their teamwork or something when they got back to the mansion. It was almost painful how obvious it was that this event was to test their skills as a team, but also their drive to 'do the right thing'. Jo wondered if this meant she was officially part of the team. To her it was just a sneaky way of bringing everyone together. She made a mental note to yell at the wheel-chair dude later. He obviously manipulated them by throwing the group into the situation.

Piotr Rasputin. Aka Tin Man

The young Russian still felt the wotld spinning a little. When he hit the ground, he twirled and bounced, rolling like a metal clad tire into the fountain. He felt Laura trying to pull him to his feet. His vision swirled a little and he paused as his stomach rebelled briefly.
There, it stopped. He heard Juggernaught talking, falling. Felt Jo's power help him up and heard her complaint.

" Thank you girls, I was very dizzy...very dizzy. Relax miss Jo, things seem to be in hand yes ? "

He paused, kneeling, turning Laura to face him.

* in russian * " Little ghost, Laura thank God, I thought you were dead "

He pulls her in for a hug.
