In this exercise, detail out the most recent war that's happened in your location or immediately near your location.

Stuff to think about:

• How long ago was that war? Is it still going?
• How long did the war last?
• What countries, planets, towns, peoples, etc were involved in this war?
• What was the purpose of the war? Power? Resources? Revenge? Madness?
• How did the battles take place? Air, sea, land, space?
• What sort of soldiers fight this battle? Average towns people? Drafted civilians? Trained military? Knights? Gods?
• Are there still ill feelings about this war? Traumatized soldier or problems with racism?
• How did people fight in this war? What sort of weapons did they use? Swords? Guns? Magic?
• How far and wide this war stretch? Did it affect peoples that weren't involved in the war?

• How long ago was that war? Is it still going?: It was about 69 years ago and no it is not going on thank goodness.
• How long did the war last?: It lasted about five years.
• What countries, planets, towns, peoples, etc were involved in this war? Well most of the world was in the war, it was world war II after all.
• What was the purpose of the war? Power? Resources? Revenge? Madness?: I guess you could say a bit of all of that.
• How did the battles take place? Air, sea, land, space?: Land, air, and sea.
• What sort of soldiers fight this battle? Average towns people? Drafted civilians? Trained military? Knights? Gods?: Drafted civilians and trained military.
• Are there still ill feelings about this war? Traumatized soldier or problems with racism?: Yes there are still some people who have ill feelings. Maybe racism with Jews , i have no clue.
• How did people fight in this war? What sort of weapons did they use? Swords? Guns? Magic?: Normal military stuff, boats, planes the whole shebang.
• How far and wide this war stretch? Did it affect peoples that weren't involved in the war?: World War II affected everyone.
• Who won? Did anyone win? The Allied Powers won.

Two years ago, in 2024.

• How long did the war last?

One year, or more precisely, ten months.

• What countries, planets, towns, peoples, etc were involved in this war?

Three planets, joined by a wormhole, only one barely capable of space travel. None were more than faintly aware of the existence of the others.

• What was the purpose of the war? Power? Resources? Revenge? Madness?

It was engineered to deliberately produce permanent alliances.

• How did the battles take place? Air, sea, land, space?

Mostly land, some fighting in the air. The primary battlefields were major cities.

• What sort of soldiers fight this battle? Average towns people? Drafted civilians? Trained military? Knights? Gods?

One of the planets had super soldiers. Another had magic knights. Lastly, the third had nigh-invulnerable godlike warlocks.

• Are there still ill feelings about this war? Traumatized soldier or problems with racism?

Quite a few, but none significant due to the fact that generally speaking, it's agreed that the war was nobody's fault.

• How did people fight in this war? What sort of weapons did they use? Swords? Guns? Magic?

Super soldiers used advanced technology like firearms and mechs. The knights used enchanted weaponry like swords and crossbows. The warlocks just walked in and started doing what was probably converting the nigh-omnipresent dark matter around them into nuclear-class explosions by giving you an angry glare.

• How far and wide this war stretch? Did it affect peoples that weren't involved in the war?

Remember New York? Wasteland. Rio De Janeiro? Pile of rubble. Paris? You mean that section of the bombsite that used to be called France? London? Pfffft.

• Who won? Did anyone win?

Luckily, everyone figured out who it was in the end that tricked the three worlds into warring with one another and shut them down for good. Before everyone died. So I guess everyone wins. Except that guy.

Still going, the heathens are surprisingly good at holding out.

• What countries, planets, towns, peoples, etc were involved in this war?

All of Manlington, Land of the Manly Men in Manly definitely not skirts.

• What was the purpose of the war? Power? Resources? Revenge? Madness?

The Skirt, I uh- mean Kilt wearers are very Religious, and very angry.

• How did the battles take place? Air, sea, land, space?

Mostly land, but there was some ocean warfare on the coast lines, suicide boats v Galleons. Guess which belong to who :P

• What sort of soldiers fight this battle? Average towns people? Drafted civilians? Trained military? Knights? Gods?

Peasants versus trained soldiers, but surprisingly the peasants developed a weapon called the potato gun, annihilating a good junk of the Kilt wearers forces.

• Are there still ill feelings about this war? Traumatized soldier or problems with racism?

Well, after seeing your best friend blown apart by a potato cannon, wouldn't anyone be traumatized.

Mostly a varietyof medieval weaponry on the Kilt side, wilst the heathens used farming tools and potato cannons.

Everywhere, it was all encompassing. Even the aliens tuned in to watch. They didn't exactly participate, but it was good entertainment for a few millennia.

As of yet, no victor has been decided. It could go an way to be fully honest.
