The Missing Lands

Cursing, Henrietta slipped from one of the ledges of a building she tried landing on, she felt her body fall and instinctively her arm reached out grabbing whatever she could that was close. She made it halfway through the city, surprisingly, not pursued by any of the legion soldiers. Here she was, able to latch onto one of the stone edges of a window, a few feet from the ground, almost seriously injuring herself in her haste and not even chased. Am I really that unworthy to be followed? She thought to herself before quickly changing her thoughts and smirking to herself, No, I'm just that good. She groaned, from the exertion in her arms and pulled herself up slowly but before her arms could give away, she put her feet on the wall and climbed back up on the rooftop. Too exhausted to move when she finally planted herself on the rooftop, she laid there, panting heavily, enjoying her small moment of rest.

Energized, Henrietta made no movement but instead laid there, watching the rain clouds passing over the endless barren land of Lora. The freezing rain had finally stopped and the sun was just now breaching from the clouds and setting off into the distance. She heard a commotion in one of the alleyways, a unfamiliar female voice and.. was that Gaius? She sat straight up, her hearing perked to the voices that sounded like they were coming just ahead of her possibly in the right or left alleyway. Her heart leaping out of her chest in glee of finding allies, she looked about her, trying to find a way back down onto the streets without harming herself in the process. Another small building ahead of her, lower than the building that she was on now, was a striped tarp on the side of it facing her. It was possibly a small merchant stand, and seemed to be the only way back down. She stood up, and pulled the hood of her cape down. Taking a deep breath, she ran towards the tarp, leaped off the building she was on and jumped onto it. Ah crap! She thought as soon as she hit the tarp, it teared from the weight of her, and she crashed into the stand, spices flying about in the air and covering her. Coughing from the seasonings, she griped as she unsteadily tried to stand up wiping off the colorful spices. "Not one of my best ideas.." Henrietta grumbled as she looked about her, noticing Gaius and a girl a few feet away from her. Holding her back and side that was aching from the fall, she trudged over to the two.
