Miranda looked at him curiously as he chuckled and as he warned her about his order, she was about to question him whenever Charlotte came over, all cheery and bubbly and stuff. She took the coffee as it was, dismissing any additives. She actually loved her coffee like this. She just continued drinking while Clyde and her exchanged banter, raising an eyebrow at his remarks on their "marriage".

Before Charlotte could leave Miranda interrupted. "But honestly, we got married last night while we were completely drunk." Miranda said faking being as cheery as Charlotte, and smirking towards Clyde after the girl left.

Charlotte shrugged at her remark. "Couldn't take a little bit of compliments hmm?" Clyde chugged his coffee. "Oh that feels much better." He smiled. "I do remember where I went after my winnings Rose something. So we just need to find out how many clubs have rose in the name then go visit them all and see if I remember any of them." He laughed. "How hard can that be?" Another waitress walked by and refilled his coffee. "Thank you Tess. Your getting better at not spilling on me." He teased. She glared at him playfully and flitted off. He sipped from this coffee. "I mean you don't HAVE to do this with me I just want to make sure we didn't do anything too crazy. Plus I'd love to find our wedding photos that's got to be hilarious." Charlotte came back with their food she set it down in front of them. "Two blts extra bacon and a side of fries with ranch dressing. Boy you eat weird when your hungover I hope the lady can stomach it." She smiled at them. "Anything else?" "Nah thanks hun." She wandered off. He smiled at her. "Enjoy." And then he dug in oh gosh it was as great as ever.

"I am the one for flattery, but only when it's true." Miranda then spoke, in a "in a matter of fact" kind of way. She was more or less not that serious about the current situation. She just sat there sipping the coffee, letting the bitter dark taste soothe her throat, but almost choking hearing the remark of Clyde. What a disgusting, inconsiderate, blunt thing to say. She began coughing seeing the coffee went down the wrong pipe.

"There's a lot of clubs in Vegas, Clyde. Surely you would know that yes?" Miranda began after recovering. "It might take us a day or two to hit all of them. I say we get divorced and not try to figure out the dumb things we did. Unless you feel like paying more on your hotel, or coming over to mine." Miranda said sarcastically, but his reply was held off by the odd food choice of Clyde.

"You eat like a pig." Miranda laughed seeing Clyde start to dig in, following him, just with a little bit more class.

As he ate his sandwich he let himself think. What had he gotten himself into. She was such a grumpy girl. But yet that made him interested. What made her tick. Most girls by now would have swooned but here she was cold as ice. How did she do it resisting him wasn't easy he was a damn fine catch. He chuckled inside his head. No he wasn't conceited or cocky he just was used to women adoring him. "Oh yeah cause it's a great idea to not figure this out. How much do you think that ring is missy? And who's bank did it come from? All things we don't know. What about my ring? There is too many what ifs I don't like it. I am going to work on this mystery because I want to be sure we didn't mess anything up. You can come or not but I am not getting a divorce till I am in clean conscious. If you want to sit this one out go have your fun I'll have to call you for help sometimes so don't ignore my calls." He ate his fries and watched her out of the corner of his eye. She hated him he got it but he couldn't just get a divorce and let it go. Why the hell had he picked her all night he had girls all over him and yet he picked this one. That was secretly why he wanted to get to the bottom of this.

"Sheesh. If I didn't know better, I'd think that you want to be married to me." Miranda said, sarcasm filtering her voice. She rolled her eyes in the middle of taking a very small bite of her burger, barely denting its size so far. Most of his points were true but she probably wouldn't admit it any time soon. When her ring was brought up, she did look at it again. This time closer, even taking it off to look at its golden loop. There were multiple small depressions, giving her the impression that it was engraved, maybe it was the name of the shop or something.

"I'll tag along though. I've got nothing better to do while this hangover's around..And I think I got another place we can head too after checking out some of the clubs." Miranda then admitted, slipping the ring back onto her finger. She liked it more then her previous one. "But we'll get to that soon enough, yes?" Miranda continued, finishing her french-fries before pushing her half-eaten burger towards him.

"If your still hungry, I'm pretty full."

"Farthest thing from it deary. I don't do attachments." He finished half his fries and knocked back his coffee. "No thanks I'm stuffed."Charlotte wandered over. "All done?" "Yeah thanks so much Charlotte." She smiled. "Your always welcome here sugar." She grabbed there plates and left. "Well it looks like your my Bonnie for a bit darling." He smiled and chuckled at his joke. He got up went and paid. He came back to the table. "Charlotte goes on her break in a few minutes. I asked her to help me narrow down or even figure out some clubs. I'll be outside having a smoke." He sauntered outside and leaned on his car lighting up a smoke.

Miranda didn't talk much after that, only chuckling lightly at his once again, odd analogy. She finished her coffee after he left for a smoke, contemplating joining him for one, but nah. She didn't really need one right now. She was just consumed in her thoughts, thinking how would her family react to the two of them ending up like this, or maybe what really happened the previous night, she thought too much that it strengthened her hang-over.

She turned to get up, but not heading for the door but instead the ladies room, she needed to wash her hands from the burger. Entering, she saw Charlotte washing her hands as well. Miranda casually walked to the next sink, turning her head after the water came on.

"So..what's Clyde like? I mean, you know his personality aside from the every once in a while joke?" Miranda asked curiously, seeing as Clyde hadn't really opened up too much from that perspective.

Charlotte smiled at her. "I can't say. Clyde will open up to you when he's ready. But we've spent many of my breaks talking he's a great guy. I wouldn't take this act of fate as a true mistake." Charlotte giggled. "But that's just my thoughts." She dried off her hands. "I'm going to go see Clyde I bet he's having a smoke as always. And careful you don't drop your ring it's very beautiful." Charlotte smiled at her again and wandered outside. "Hey there." Clyde opened the passenger door and she sat down with a contented sigh. "It's nice to get off my feet." Clyde put a smoke to his lips lit it and gave it too her. "Ahhh your such a gentleman." She puffed on her smoke. "So you got too drunk and married a girl." "The last place I remember was the casino and half the name of a club I went to after winning. Rose something." "Bad news. 6 clubs with rose in the name." Clyde handed her a pen and paper. "Would you be a doll and write em down?" "Of course cutie." She wrote them down and set them on the dashboard. "So you keeping in good health? How Eric?" She laughed. "Eric is a terror he's getting sassy as he grows up." "Must get that from his dad your far to sweet to be sassy." She lightly shoved him. "As if I can sass with the best of them." He laughed. "And your health?" "I'm gaining weight again." "That a girl you gotta stop forgetting to eat you were too thin the last time." Charlotte put her smoke out in the ashtray and got up hugging him. "I know I know. You two have fun." He hugged her tight. "I always do." "Very nice meeting you ma'am" Charlotte gave one of her almost trademark smiles and dashed back into the diner. Clyde went and sat in the drivers seat and put his smoke out in the ashtray. "So what do you wanna do now?"

Miranda listened intently to Charlotte's words. Maybe Miranda judged this girl too quickly, she was still quite nice even though Miranda was more or less acting like a total bitch. As Charlotte left, Miranda took off the ring again, putting it up to the light. The pearl on it shining brilliantly. "I'll just wear it for a little while more.." She told herself, slipping it back on before exiting the bathroom and eventually passing by Charlotte on her way out.

"I'm coming with you of course." Miranda spoke, bending over too see him inside the car, before getting inside not bothering to put her seat-belt on due to a bad habit of her. Pulling her legs up and crossing them she glanced at the clipboard before glancing at him. "Which one are we going to first?"

"I just wanted to make sure it's a bit of a stretch but I'm going to try to go to these clubs and get some info." He warned her. The first three were a bust. He knew just by seeing them he hadn't been there. By the fourth he was discouraged. But the fifth was the club. Clyde smooth talked the bouncers to letting them in to chat with the bartender. Whom Clyde figured would have a lot of info. If he was working last night. And boy did he. "You two again huh? Your lucky it's a different pair of bouncers today. I had to kick you out. The man she was with did something you really didn't like and boy did you put him in his place. Really hated kicking you out cause you seemed like a good guy. But protocol."

Miranda just tagged along, staying in the background for a while until Clyde came over and informed her that it was a bust. She didn't really mind driving around with him though, even sleeping for a bit still obviously tired out by the crazy night. But as they reached the fifth club, somehow Clyde managed to get the two ushers to let them in to which she was impressed.

"Us two? Again?" Miranda asked innocently in the middle of the bartender's words, but he continued on. She did remember the man who helped her around the casino, he was quite the nice fellow, but she didn't remember bringing him here. And why had Clyde been here? Did the stars just align together for that moment or something? Was it just pure luck?

"Well, thank-you." Miranda said gratefully towards the bartender as she turned towards the door, stopping to wait for Clyde.

Clyde wandered back to his car and sat in the drivers seat he lit a smoke. "That didn't jog my memory at all... Did I fight with him. I hope I didn't. Did it jog your memory?" Clyde tried to think hard. He tapped a beat on his steering wheel while he thought.

"All I know is my painkillers are wearing off, maybe because I've been trying to think so hard about it. All I remember still is just dancing, but it that has to be the club where we met right? At least nothing to too bad happened there." Miranda shrugged, not joking about the hangover coming back. She groaned, massaging her forehead seeing if that somehow would remedy the pain.

"..It's getting late right? Just drop me off at my hotel for today, I need to sleep this shit off. Lets see if we can find our ring's shop tomorrow, yes?" Miranda suggested her head ache getting worse after a while driving in his car.

He laughed softly. "That's a good idea." He put his smoke out in the ashtray. Then he drove her back to her hotel. He got out and opened her door for her. "I hope you get better. Thanks for the help today." He smiled at her. His golden eyes sparkled. "I wasn't kidding at the diner. You do keep me in line. So thanks for that. I'm sorry if this takes longer then you wanted and I'm sorry if you hate me after this." He saluted her got in his car and drove off.

Miranda nodded, watching him drive off once again. A weird feeling of de ja vu coming over her but she just shook it off, turning to go inside the hotel, stopping by the lady at the front desk from that morning. "Hey, so uh what exactly did I do when I got here with that guy?" Miranda asked, seeing if she could somehow scrape up some information.

"What do you mean? Like before the sex?" The lady asked, very loudly. Miranda thought maybe she was bitter because of earlier? Possibly?

"Geez. You don- Ugh. Nevermind. But yeah, before the sex."

"Well, when you came in here you were both quite drunk, you were wearing a torn up wedding gown over this black dress and he was just wearing normal clothes, and while you tripped over everything in the lobby, I escorted you two to your room."

"A wedding gown?"

"Yeah. Didn't I just say that?"

"It wasn't in my room though.."

"Your maid is cleaning it. You'll get it tomorrow."

Afterwards Miranda moseyed upstairs, lost in thought. At least she could see the dress she wore on her second marriage at least. She slipped inside her room, doing the majority of her business until she laid down in her bed, her hair still wet from another warm shower. She grabbed her phone, texting Clyde. "Hey, so I think I found another piece of the puzzle. Meet me in the lobby of my hotel tomorrow morning okay?" Miranda typed, sending it quickly afterwards. And then all the sudden she texted something else as if she had forgotten to add it earlier. "And thanks for helping me out at that club I guess. If it did happen."

Clyde was on his balcony chain smoking like no tomorrow when his phone freaked out two texts from Miranda and one from Charlotte. "Kay will do your welcome." Was sent back to Miranda. Charlotte's text next. "If you need a friend to listen I'm here." He sighed maybe that was just what he needed to talk to someone. "Can I come over?" "Of course darling Eric just went to bed." "On my way." He put out his smoke and decided to leave them here he had done enough smoking for today. He drove to her place he'd been here once before. He didn't even have time to knock before she opened the door and hugged him. He laughed. "Missed me that much." "No you needed it I can tell." He hugged her back picking her up and moving himself inside closing the door and setting her down. "Okay oh wise and powerful mind reader what else so I need?" "Answers and tea. I have tea." She giggled. They wandered into the kitchen Clyde leaned against a wall. "So spill." "I met her before all this. I picked her up when she was hitchhiking her truck died. I figured that'd be the last I see of her. But then I woke up in her hotel room with a wedding band on." Charlotte giggled. "Fate has weird ways of working." Clyde rolled his eyes. "I just can't believe my first marriage is this." "And how is she taking it?" "Angry and she just wants out. And I should too but I just. Why her why not all the other girls I flirted with last night? And don't you say fate." Charlotte handed him a cup of tea and they wandered into the living room and sat down on the couch. "Clyde be honest with yourself I know you always boast you never get attached by you do. Do you like her?" "She's stunning and brings out a good side of me and she herself personality is mostly a mystery but she is so composed and smart." Charlotte smiled. "Maybe try to get to know her open up a little. Maybe she won't just bolt. Don't lose this chance." He sighed and sipped his tea. They sat in contented silence for a bit. "So has Jeff come back or has he left you alone?""You scared him into behaving he's left us alone." "Good I worry about you two." Charlotte cuddled up to Clyde and he smiled. "Your like a little sister to me did I ever tell you that?" "Nah but I like it big bro." She laughed. Eventually Clyde went home and fell asleep.

Miranda fell asleep effortlessly for some reasons unknown to her, waking up feeling twenty-times better. Although there was still a little ache in her head. She popped one pill, letting it soothe her head up a little before changing into simple clothes that were easy to walk and breath in. It was around eight in the morning when she stepped planning to go downstairs when she was stopped by a large brown box.

She picked it up, shifting it side to side. It sounded like fabric, and she knew exactly what it was. Miranda quickly went back inside the room dropping it on top of her bed, then grabbing her phone texting Clyde just too meet her at the hotel room. She tried waited patiently for him, but she was never good at standing still, doing nothing so she peeked inside the box.

Gasping at just how beautiful it looked her hands traced on its floral pattern, the silk feeling so gentle on her skin. Right now Miranda was wondering if Clyde would be able to afford something like this, she wasn't so sure. But she definitely could, she remembered grabbing at her purse, the golden master-card given by her father still in there.

Clyde had had a fantastic sleep one he hadn't had in a long time he did not want to get up but then his phone said otherwise. He groaned and grabbed it. Miranda. "Just woke up stopping to get coffee you want any?" He got up and had a quick shower checked his texts for her reply got dressed and got in his car got coffee and went to her hotel. The receptionist kept giving him looks that he did not like. He got to her room and knocked.

Miranda was suddenly surprised by a text message, leaving her purse out on her bed she crawled over to her charging phone replying to Clyde's offer. "Yeah sure, Black." Afterwards she slowly paced around the length of her hotel room, wondering if she ought to try it on. It tempted her but she managed to hold out, at least until Clyde knocked on the door.

She hurried over, opening the door and taking their coffee, placing it on the small table in the corner. Tell him to get inside she quickly pointed to the open box at the center of her bed while taking a sip of the bitter liquid. Later putting it back and hopping next to him while they looked at the dress.

He could not believe her energy. He walked in and closed the door after himself. "What has you buzzing faster then a bee this early in the morning?" He looked at the box with a raised eyebrow. "Kay what's in it? Horrible things? Fantastic things? All the answers we need?" He really did not understand.
