The Lost Soul

He passed her and let himself into the house, and went straight to the fridge, crouching to get a better view of the contents inside.

Nobody followed and the fridge looked the same as before, albeit missing a couple of things.

He groaned, falling back on his butt. Why was there nothing good in the fridge? Like donuts? He sighed, sitting there and basically pouting.

Raine walked into the house carrying a basket of flowers. She raised an eyebrow at seeing him on the ground. "Oh?"

He looked up at her and made a face, putting a finger on his cheekbone and pulling the skin down, his bottom eyelid as well, and stuck his tongue out. "What are you looking at?"

Raine rolled her eyes and walked past him, putting the flowers on the counter. "What are you doing?"

"What does it look like?" He asked, gesturing to the still-open fridge. He was currently trying to manifest donuts into existence. It was a witch's house, after all. Anything could happen.

Raine crossed her arms. "Right. There are cookies in the pantry." She motioned to a thin door in other corner of the kitchen.

He smirked. He would definitely have to work on his manifestation skills, but he would take what he could get. He stood, closed the fridge door, and went over to the pantry in search of the cookies.

Raine shook her head as she picked up the basket again and went upstairs.

Once he spotted them, he grabbed them and set them on the counter, leaning against it before digging in.

After a while the black cat appeared on the window sill, staring at him.

It took him quite a while to notice that it was there, but when he did, he jumped. "...What?" He asked with a mouthful of cookies, crumbs falling to the floor.

Ebony chuckled and jumped down from the window before jumping up onto the table. "Greedy one, eh?"

He shrugged. "Nah, just hungry. There's a difference."

Ebony purred a little. "Then, why not ask Raine for a proper meal?"

He stopped chewing for a second to stare at the cat as if it was dumb. "Why ask for a meal when I could have cookies?" He held one up before biting into it.

Ebony chuckled and his tail flicked. "Interesting. You are quite the character."

He rolled his eyes. "You do realize that talking cats aren't normal, right?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.

Ebony chuckled again as he lied down, crossing his front paws. "I am aware. That doesn't mean you aren't interesting."
