PlotA large geomagnetic storm had hit the earth causing the earth's population of humans to die off until only your small group was left. The storm had left the world into a state of Eternal Winter and you and your group have just survived a plane crash and regained consciousness as it was nearing 12:00 PM. Your groups goal is to Survive for 50 days by setting up a base, exploring, scavenging, hunting, building, farming, and whatever else you deem a requirement to survive. The only things alongside your group in this Canadian wilderness are Rabbits, Crows, Wolves, Deer, and the occasional Bear. Traits Lightweight - This character can only carry 5 less items then other characters but can run and move faster than others. Heavyweight - This character can carry 5 more items than other characters but has a slower movement and running speed. Companion - This character starts out with a type of Dog to assist them. Good Eyesight - This character can see things farther than other characters and can see farther during Blizzards and High Winds than other characters. Night Vision - This character doesn't need a light source in order to see at night or in a building. Resilient - This character gains the Cold stat slower than other characters. Survivalist - This character gains Hunger and Thirst slower than other Characters and loses Calories slower as well. Insomniac - This character gains Fatigue slower than other characters. Prepared - This character starts out with 2 bags of Beef Jerky, 2 water bottles, 2 large bags of Chips, and an insulated sleeping bag. Hoarder - This character starts out with a Can Opener, 1 Storm Lantern, 1 small container of Lantern Fuel, 1 pack of 10 Cardboard Matches, 2 units of Cloth, 1 Scrap Metal and a Winter Coat. Wood Collector - This character starts out with 2 Reclaimed wood, 1 fir Firewood, and 1 Hardwood log. Food Collector - This character starts out with 2 units of Deer Meat, 1 unit of Salt, 1 unit of Bird meat, and 3 units of Bear meat. Important Information ----When farming it takes 2 days for a plant to grow and be harvest-able. ----To get Soil for Farming you must dig out snow in order to get to it. ----To get clean water to drink you must Melt snow and then Boil the Water. ----Each building only has enough power to have 1 thing that require's electricity on. (Be sure to choose wisely, whether it be Gas, a Water Heater, a House Heater, or Lights.) ----Only when those with the Building and Engineering skills work together or possess both will they be able to build a Wind generator to allow 2 things that allow electricity to be on at once. ----Your character has 5 stats to manage, Cold, Hunger, Thirst, Fatigue, and Calories. The IC will tell you how you manage these stats alongside how Condition works. ----Each character starts out with 100% Condition. ----The GM (Me) Will be telling you when the sun is going down/coming up. ----Bears and Wolves are your only enemies here, unless one of you turns on the others. ----When searching buildings/anything in general, the GM will tell you what you got and what it's condition is. ----Everything you've searched respawns with new items every 2 days you aren't near it. ----Make sure to Choose a Base as soon as you can so you have somewhere to retreat to and store things at alongside taking care of yourself/eachother. ----When your character carries more objects than their supposed to (Inventory is 16/15 for example with a default character), they become Encumbered and move half as fast as normal when walking/running. ----Be sure to manage your stats so your character doesn't die. Rules1. Basic Iwaku Rules apply. 2. Couples are allowed, but anything 18+ goes into the Libertine forums. 3. You can know another character beforehand but you must have that characters/players permission to do so. 4. Anyone who doesn't post for 1 week and 2 days are subject to allowing a GM/one of their friends controlling their character until they do post. 5. You can only make 1 character. 6. It is possible for your characters to die. 7. I'll leave it up to your judgement when doing something that requires skill. (When starting fires, creating something, skinning/gutting something, cutting down wood, your accuracy when shooting hunting, ect ect.)
