"Ebola-chan" is the literal representation of this thinking.

I honestly wish everyone that joked about ebola got a taste of it, just to know how it feels to actually suffer. This goes for all suffering made light on the internet by trolls. I get that comedy is supposed to be a play on the human condition, which includes suffering. Here's the thing. Memes aren't funny; nothing about it is ironic, though trolls might claim it to be. It's all bandwagon bullshit.

Oh man, Ebola-chan. I think it's pretty common-place for people to attribute cutesy and adorable things with some vile and terrible. Take @foodforpigs avatar for instance. Christ its ugly. But I think that's the point.
