Many eons ago, there was a band of beings who existed within the Ethereal Realm. Despite the fact they didn't have physical bodies, they held a tremendous amount of power. Among the many beings, it was decided that life had to begin and with the combined might of their powers, the universe began. Stars, planets, systems, and all the above were created and as the universe cooled, a new home was formed. Earth. Air, trees, flowers, and large rock formations were created; a home for them to watch. As the years passed, Earth, despite being one of their greatest creations, didn't have much to it. While it could keep itself maintained, there was no one there to keep the plants from growing out of control. The waters were empty, the land was barren of sound and the skies were silent. Curiously, the Creators thought about what they could do to liven up their new home when a curious young Creator got an idea.

She hovered over the ground and started working. Using clay, water, and essence, she created small creatures who would use the land, sea, and sky. Once they were done, she showed them off to the rest of the Creators. The others found them interesting and the Creators started making creatures both big and small based on her template, creating a balance of predators and prey. From there, animals were born. Many moons later, the animals had covered the Earth. The sky, the land, and the sea were filled with life and sound echoed all over the world. The Creators were happy and were no longer alone in their new home. While it was sad to see some of the animals die or were killed off, it was the way it had to be. However, the Creators wanted to become one with their home. Actually, mingle with the animals and it was hard to do when they didn't have bodies of their own. Using the animals didn't work out too well since they weren't strong enough to withstand the power they held. It wasn't until one of the Elder Creators got an idea.

He hovered over the ground and formed a paradise for the animals to reside in and help flourish. He bent the will of life around as a wondrous garden was created, the other Creators were astonished by the creation that others followed suit. Seven of the Elder Creators chose their spots and formed their own homes, creating gorgeous landscapes with the animals to thrive. One of the Elders converted himself into a pathway so that the animals were able to travel more efficiently to the Afterlife. It would be long until names and titles were given to the eight Elders. They were to be the leaders of their kind and of the Earth. Their names were Eden of the Great Garden and Forest, The Hanging Gardens of the Sacred Flowers, Atlantis of the Great Oceans and Seven Seas, Camelot of the Great Castles and Bringer of Legends, Stonehenge the Messenger and Keeper of the Channels, Nexus the Traveler and Connector of the Spirit Realm, Mount Fuji of the Burning Mountain and Great Preserver, and Mount Olympus of the Heavenly Sky.

The Creators scattered to different corners of the world, creating their own paradises for the animals and watched them coexist with one another. This made the Creators happy, but they wanted to create something a bit more complex. While the animals made great company, the Earth wasn't being used to its fullest potential. Two of the Creators came together and started creating something. Using clay and some essence from the other elements, two complex beings were created. The two Creators showed the others, showing the amount of patience needed to make such complex creatures. The Creators each made their own using different forms of clay when they finally came up with a name for them. Humans. The new and curious humans were placed with Eden so they could live off the fruit and animals there before venturing off on their own to claim their own lands. While the humans were within Eden, exploration was allowed, but they were boundaries that had to be obeyed. The rules were followed for decades when two very curious humans ventured farther into Eden's home.

Upon discovery, they found two trees the humans were never supposed to know about. The Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge. Because of the large Ethereal crystals, the Tree of Life could not be touched or approached without feeling like they were getting burned. But the Tree of Knowledge remained exposed and untouched. That is until one of the humans placed a hand on the golden yellow orb dangling from a branch, exposing them to information and things they were not ready for. Furious by the betrayal of the two humans, they were banished from his home and sent to the Gate of Hell. From there, the humans were made an example of, showing what would happen if the rules were disobeyed.

The humans grew to fear the Creators, often staying on their best behavior or flinched when the punishment was brought up. Eden felt horrible for what happened and believed he went too far with the punishment. He asked for the humans to be returned and healed completely as Eden made a promise to never do it again by growing an Everlasting Flower. The humans forgave him, but never let go of their fear. After a few years, all the humans left Eden, believing It was time to explore the marvelous world created by the Creators. Eden and the others watched the human grow into a much smarter species.

After the incident in Eden's home, a meeting was held between the Creators, many were confused about what to do. Some wanted to completely get rid of the humans and stick with the animals, others wanted to keep the humans and give them another chance since it was only two humans who didn't listen, others believed it would be best to just leave the humans alone while the remainder wanted to help. After much deliberation, it was decided they would watch the humans closely, but not interfere too much, not wanting the humans to become dependent on them. While they could remain within the locations, there were still some problems that arise. One of them was the fact speaking with a human wasn't easy since humans couldn't really see them. This frustrated many of the Creators since manipulating the Earth too much would cause strain or misinterpretation.

It wasn't until the Creator of Atlantis got an idea. Using the same method to create humans, she created a sort of husk and inserted herself into the body. Once she was able to move, with some trial and error, the husk proved to be a success. The idea was shown to the other Creators and the husks were made. While the idea was great, there was still a drawback here and there. Because of their sheer power, the bodies would decay and crumble over time. Because of this, the bodies had to be remade every hundred years, until she developed sturdier bodies which would last for three hundred plus years. Upon the creation of the human husks, many humans often would consider the Creators incomparably beautiful and alluring. This would cause many people to come to them for advice or means of help as well as move closer to their Great Creators.

As the centuries past, humans developed traits more complex than the animals around them. These traits defined how they would act over the course of their existence and this made the Creators interested in humans more. The humans became smarter, creating places for them to live without destroying the homes of the animals there, this led to many civilizations being created as well as many other traits being made. The more positive traits stuck out and this formed many legends about these people who did their best to protect humans and their homes. Some of the stories were even about the Creators, often calling them Wonders. These stories were then passed down from generation to generation, making the children strive to be the next hero.

However, with every good thing, there is a bad. The negative traits rose from the humans almost as fast as the positive traits. Greed, Jealousy, Hatred, Wrath, all traits which led to the downfall of many human civilizations. Most humans who held these traits took more blessings from the Wonders than they should have. Abaddon(Gate of Hell), Callias and Callix(The First Temple of Kings), Dai(Aokighara), and Haas(Pyramids of Giza) were worried about this becoming too much of a problem. This was told to the Elders and it was expressed that action needed to be done. The Elders understood the concerns but believed the humans would grow out of the traits. Unfortunately, humans never outgrew them and continued taking more than they needed.

The Elders now believed that the humans needed to know there were consequences to their actions. So the Wonders created beings meant for protection and amazement. They were around to protect the Wonders and their belongings. They were also to keep the humans at bay as well as make sure the humans didn't past their boundaries. The humans grew fearful of these guardians and often told stories about them. The guardians who tricked humans to their deaths or away from the riches of the Wonders were given a name that stuck to this day. Curses.

GjGT.gif

Even with the help of the Curses, there was only so much they could do. The negative traits within the humans only worsen over the centuries, leaving very little options for the Wonders. Nearly all of the Wonders came to the same conclusion, any humans who bore the negative traits would be dealt with, one way or another. One by one, the Wonders started to disappear, whether it was through destroying themselves or having their Curse destroy them. Once their home was gone, the Wonders returned to their Heavenly plain and watched the humans from there while the Curses remained on Earth.

To this day, the Curses have gone to the Ethereal Plane to join their masters, but their powers remain on earth, protecting the remains of a home the Wonders loved. But now, times have changed. Humans have suffered too long in their absence. It's time to repair the damage done before things get worse.

The Wonders have used Human Vessels since they had returned to Earth during the Middle Ages. Using humans as vessels proved to be easier than having to make their own bodies, and this allowed them to remain hidden. Alterations are often made to the human at a very early age so their power won't harm them or the people around them. These alterations are painless and don't really interfere with the humans' day to day life.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Signs/Information of a Vessel
  • Depending on the Curse or Wonder, physical attributes can happen upon birth.
    • Ex. If you have the Wonder of Stonehenge, the person could be born with Tribal tattoos, these could act as birthmarks.
  • It is rare, but it is possible for a Curse or Wonder to be twins.
    • If this is the case, both twins would have the same powers.
  • They don't show signs of their powers until their 21st year.
    • This means they have one year for their powers to awaken.
  • The Vessels have knowledge on the Wonder or Curse they have within them.
  • The Vessels are able to sense one another, however, they can't sense which one they are.
    • Vessels who haven't awakened can't sense them.
  • Vessels are able to hear the voices of the Wonder or Curse in them.
  • Yes, it is possible for the Wonder or Curse to appear as a specter, but only awaken Vessels can see them.
    • It is possible for the Wonders to speak to other Vessels, but they can't interact with them.
      Ex. The Wonder of Atlantis can speak to the Vessel of the Gate of Hell, but she can't make the Vessel does as she says.
The Earth's timeline is altered greatly due to there being no religious canon Gods. Historical events happen differently and are subject to change. In this, the Creators are the Gods. Unlike Gods, Wonders and Curses were able to interact with humans. Some battles such as the Battle of Troy and the Fall of the Roman Empire suffered a lot more or a lot less. Heroes such as Hercules and Perseus are born as Demigods, meaning one of the parents were either a Wonder or a Curse or they gained the power through other means. Temples, which were erected for Gods, would be built to worship the Wonders and Curses, as well as their helpers. Not all Curses and Wonders had nice thoughts about humans. Some believed they were too clumsy and weren't smart enough to work together at all, others believed they were too destructive and would cause the end of their greatest creation.
The Gods from pantheons such as Greek, Norse, Japanese, Celtic, etc. were considered prophets, messiahs, or messengers of the Wonders. These beings were granted powers to help humans as best they could. The humans' viewed these helpers varied from story to story, but the order was held and if anything bad had happened, they were scolded or punished. It is possible to say these beings were demigods.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

The Angels, Demons, and other beings who weren't Gods

These beings who weren't exactly Gods, but they were immortal and were considered spirits. While they were some who were good and evil, they follow the Wonders' alignment. They can still be summoned like they would any other time through prayer, however, it would depend on how strong the Summoner is and the strength of the being they are summoning. Beings such as the Archangels and Demon Lords will be harder to summon than a normal Demon or Angel. Angels higher than Archangels would get harder to summon as well as any Demons stronger than the 72 Demon Lords. They will drain a lot of energy upon summoning so it was recommended to be careful.

"These Creators and Curses are said to be the ones who created and took care of us; if that is the case, why have they forsaken us? We will find the ones who call themselves 'Gods' and capture them. Find out what makes them tick and use them against our enemies. We will make millions." - Former Head Scientist of the Judas Research of Medical Advancement Institute

The Judas Research of Medical Advancement Institute or The JRMAI has been around for as long as anyone can remember, however, its true purpose has never been revealed to the public. Many people believe the Institute helps in the research of diseases and disorders and finding cures for them. This isn't completely true. Their true goal is to find the locations of the Creators and Curses, as well as their Chosen Humans. The people who fund the Institute are among one of the richest people in the world and those who allow greed to rule their hearts. The head of the JRMAI takes the utmost pleasure in kidnapping people between ages 18 and 22 to see if they are the people they are looking for. If they aren't, the doctors and investors normally watch as their victims die or dump them somewhere they can be found.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Beginning
The Institute began back in the early Anglo-Saxon Era. Back when most of the Creators and Curses had become myths and rumors. Back when the Curses were still very much feared, rumors of these beings living among humans made the aristocrats create the nightmare of this place. They wanted to know what was so special about them. What made the peasants want to be around them and made them feel safe. While experimenting became a top priority, there were other things that needed to be done. Over the years, things would only get worse for the Chosen Humans. The beggars and common folk were told by their corrupted leaders those who practiced, used, or who were suspected of magic were to be hunted and killed.
The rich were desperate to find the Creators and Curses, from the stories they had heard, they held great treasures before human imagination. To them, money brought them happiness, power, and control. And control is what they wanted over the people.
The 1600s - 1900s
The project had lost a lot of ground over the centuries. Many empires fell because of it as well, but things took a turn when it came to the colonization of America. It was believed some of the Generals of the American Army were the Chosen Humans but were deemed untouchable since they were never found. After the war, the project was saved in newly formed America and luckily remained on JRMAI's side. The Chosen Humans of the Curse of Oak Island and the Curse of King Tut. A large number of experiments were done on both of them in order to receive the information they needed and with their "help", the Chosen Human of the Gate of Hell was found.
Curse of Oak Island and the Curse of King Tut promised to reveal the location as long as the Gate was never harmed. Upon them going to their destinations, the agents were tricked. They were sent to their deaths and their souls delivered to the Gate of Hell before disappearing completely. The surviving agents returned to the Institute empty-handed and the fury of the Head was felt that day. More planning needed to be done, procedures had to be made to make sure this never happened again. Theories and rumors started arising, they needed reasons as to why this was happening, why they were coming back now. That was when someone brought up an interesting hypothesis...
What if the Wonders were coming back because the world was in danger...
A test of tests had to be done. The grandest of tests. Through the world into chaos, starting with the hunting of the Inquisition, the witches of Salem, The World Wars, and many more.
Recent Events of the 2000s and 2030s
Politicians and the rich industry people have managed to keep the Institute running, looking for the Creators and Curses to this day. The new head of the Institute believes he has learned why the Creators and Curses have returned, now they just wait and see what will happen. Thanks to the actions of the past, the world is now in turmoil. Things were slowly getting worse and it would be only a matter of time until they make their appearance.
Throughout history, humans have often confused the three sets of Gods with one another. While they may look the same, there are subtle differences between them. Because of this, terms had to be created in order to help them out.
Wonder
A Creator is a being who was here since the beginning of creation itself. They were the ones who created the Earth as well as a location on the planet. The Wonders are stronger than the Curses and were the ones who liked humans. Yes, each one had a different opinion on the humans, but they generally didn't mind them. Creators also went by different names; Mystics, Gods, Legends, Mythics, etc.
Examples of a Creator: Atlantis, Eden, Giza, Camlet, and The First Temple of Kings.
Curse
A Curse is a being who was created by the Creators. They are the guardians and have been around for centuries. While a Curse can't create humans or animals, they can create terrifying illusions and cause certain events to happen. Despite the fact they care called Curse, there are some who can be good and don't really act like a Curse. Unlike Creators, Curses don't have to be connected to the land and can actually travel.
Examples of a Curse: Oak Island, Muramasa, Masamune, Bermuda Triangle, and Dragon's Triangle, etc.
Warrior Wonder
A Warrior Wonder is a Creator who dedicated their lives to protect another Creator. There are only a small number of them, but they are not to be taken lightly. They are still Creators and are very powerful. When a Creator becomes a Warrior Wonder, they gain the status of a Curse, while retaining their strength.
Ex. Sherwood Forest, Lighthouse of Alexandria and Pandora's Box.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Connections
Creators are connected to their lands and Curses are connected to their objects, but they are also connected to each other. However, only specific Creators and Curses are connected to each other, each for a different reason. These connections are what allowed the Creators and Curses to better understand themselves and allowed their jobs to be easier. These connections even helped during the Fall.

Note: This part is subject to change since people might add more Creators and Curses to the roleplay.

The Following Connections between the Creators and Curses are:
  • Eden, The First Temple of Kings, and Curse of Oak Island.
  • Atlantis and Bermuda Triangle
  • Noah's Ark and Dragon's Triangle
  • Sherwood Forest and Camelot
  • Lighthouse of Alexandria and the Library of Alexandria
  • Pandora's Box and Mount Olympus
  • Gate of Hell, Yomi, Seven Gates of Hell and the Ferryman's Boat.
  • Stonehenge and Nexus
  • Muramasa, Masamune, Mount Fuji, and Aokigahara Forest
  • Fountain of Youth and the Hanging Gardens of Babylon
  • Pyramids of Giza and Curse of King Tut

Haas continued watching the stars and humans, even when he noticed the greed of humans growing in them. While he was able to protect himself, his home was too large for him, so he created his curse, Nefertari. With her help, he was able to protect his home and secrets. This was all he could do.

    Sadly, it wasn't enough. Nefertari was injured during one of her fights with the humans to protect Haas' home. Knowing the fighting would get worse and not wanting Nefertari to get hurt anymore, Haas sealed his home away. Nefertari and Haas' bodies crumbled as the Pyramids of Giza buried themselves beneath the sands of the desert.

He knew of the punishments of Hell and believes the pure humans shouldn't know the terrible fate of those who were corrupted. This, however, didn't really stop humans from trying to get a glimpse into Hell or tried to summon his minions our of their own curiosity. While there were times he allowed it to happen, there were times where he would have to scare the humans from doing the summoning. Seeing no real end to it, Abaddon created Leto and Leta.

    It became their job to scare away the humans who would cause nothing but mischief for the Ruler of Hell. As greed consumed the hearts of the humans, Abaddon, and his siblings were at work making sure they knew the consequences of their actions. However, curiosity, as they say, killed the cat when more and more humans tried to summon more Demons, some even tried going straight to the Gate. Worried a good human would accidentally sneak into Hell, Abaddon hid the door. The Gates of Hell still exists within a secret location.

Of course, the two did switch every once in a while so they wouldn't get too bored with what they did. After a while, a small group of humans wanted to help Calix and Callias protect humans.

    Even when some humans treated them badly, the twin boys took care of them. Giving them homes and allowing them to sleep in the temple. Sadly, the greed of humans became too much for them. Calix and Callias told Abigail, Gilan, and the human followers to take the treasure and hide them. As the humans, Abigail and Gilan escaped, the twins of the Temple of King Solomon were burned and melted. It is rumored their "death" lasted the longest.

Granted, it was only rumored that the tower could reach it, but many humans wanted to debunk this theory or prove it too. It started getting out of hand when several humans died trying to reach the top. More would come and fail until one day when humans stormed the Tower. Feeling cornered and not wanting to have his guardians fall, Abraham burned his ower until there was nothing left but the lower half of the structure. Name:
    Taki Yukimura and Toka Yukimura

    Gender:
    Taki - Male
    Toka - Female

    Creature Representation:
    Spirits

    Info:
    Taki
    As the curse Muramasa, Taki is described to be very hotheaded. He was created by Akimi to help Dai protect the land. Taki's sword was his preferred weapon to use against the humans who overstepped their boundaries. Killing humans were something he had to grow used to, as well as telling Akimi lies about his deeds. As the years passed since his creation, Taki had killed humans who were deemed "unfit" to be blessed by Akimi or those who spoke slander towards the Wonders, it wouldn't be long until he, in a blood rage, tried to kill Dai and Akimi. Dai defeated Taki with ease and forbade him to set eyes on Akimi ever again. Taki was soon banished from his human husk and placed within the blade he carried with him. In the hands of Dai, Taki had become the thing Akimi feared, a killing machine wanting human blood.

    Dai continued using Taki to fight the humans, even as the greed of humans grew more and more. It wasn't until the Fall had happened to Dai when he used his own power and killed the humans in the surrounding area, Dai hid away. He returned Taki to his body and told him to leave. Taki ran with his sword in hand, vowing to keep the honor of Akimi to heart. After his body crumbled to nothing over the years, Taki had spent his days in the sword he carried. When dishonorable humans came and tried to use him, he made sure they suffered greatly. It wouldn't be long until Taki made a legend of himself, something to fear since whoever used him for bad things were doomed to die.

    Toka
    Another Curse and sister to Taki, Toka was created after the incident caused by Taki. Toka's purpose was to stand guard by Akimi as a healer, of sorts. She only slew those who would try to attack Akimi or Dai, despite the fact he used Taki. Toka took her job seriously and sometimes helped Dai see if the human was worthy of seeing Akimi or not. Toka never saw value within herself, seeing herself as a person who cleaned up after her older brother. Eventually, Toka noticed the negative traits in the hearts of humans grew, causing Roka to crack down more and more on humans. Due to her role as the healing curse, she couldn't fully protect Akimi.

    When Dai committed his sin, he ordered Toka to remind by Akimi's side while Taki was told to leave the forest. While Dai hid away, Toka stood with Akimi until her body withered away.
