She likes to believe the best in people (perhaps even when she probably shouldn't) and can find something to love in just about anyone. She's idealistic, fiercely loyal, and honest to a fault. A very interactive and hands-on person, Solara cares very little for the planning side of things. Her joyful demeanor is rarely dislodged, and she tends to bury any feelings of sadness and pain deep down. BACKSTORY

Solara was born on a rainy autumn evening as the second and final child to the Spark Alpha and his wife. She grew up outside of Tranquility, within the Ruins with her prominent family at the Grand Oak Hotel. Ever since she was a child, she always found herself to be interested in two main things: art and people. She would spend long days in the Forest, drawing everything from deer to wildflowers with pencils and paper found from the ruins of an old art store. Drawing always put her at ease. The only thing she loved more was to spend time in the Market Square, talking with other Spark members.

When Sola was fifteen years old, her father, mother, and godfather led an expedition outside of the Ruins to try and find people surviving in the wilderness. She and Shasta waited for their return, but they never returned to The Ruins. After one year of no central power, Shasta became the new Spark Alpha at age twenty five and the missing Feivels and Melrose were declared deceased.

When she grew old enough, she knew what she wanted to do. She wanted to follow in her father's footsteps and become a Scout. At age sixteen, she began informal training under the Spark's lead stealth personnel Savina Melrose. At age eighteen, she began formal training as a Scout. Her first official venture into Tranquility to deliver the Pill was at age 20. In her two years as a Scout, she has brought many people over to the Spark's side.

Once things stabilize and Shasta confirms the future of the Spark, Sola wants to go on the route that her parents took and see if she can piece together the puzzle of their disappearance. In the meantime, she continues combat training and Pill delivery. Sola still lives in the Grand Oak Hotel, in a suite on the same floor as her brother. She often times has a hard time sleeping and can be found wandering around the Ruins late at night with her best friend Nolan and their dog, Echo.

SHASTA FEIVEL

APPEARANCE

Shasta is by no means a small man. Though his job isn't out on the field like his sister, exercise has been one of the only hobbies that he has--in which he can release the pent-up stress and energy that come with being the leader of a rebellion. Standing at 6'3'', he is well-muscled with chiseled, almost sharp features and brown-black hair that reaches nearly to his chin. It's almost always slicked back.

PERSONALITY

Shasta is a man of all morals and very little emotion. He is polite and refined in every sense of the word, groomed by his father ever since he was a child. Despite that detached friendliness, Shasta's political mindset prevents him from ever divulging his deeper emotions and opinions to anyone--save for Lora and his sister, Solara. Even then, instances of Shasta showing deep emotion are rare. Analytical and calculating, he views the rebellion on a macro-level. He believes in larger ideas of justice and basic human rights. He is ethics-driven, and believes that nearly everything can be compartmentalized into a black-and-white category.

BACKSTORY

Shasta was the first-born son to the Spark's former Alpha and his wife. He grew up in The Ruins along with his sister and their parents. Ever since he was a child, Shasta knew that he would eventually be taking on his father's role as Alpha. It was a position that he was constantly prepared for and one that he was looking forward to having.

However, the role came along much quicker than he'd anticipated. When the Feivels and the Melroses disappeared on their expedition, he'd known what to do. There were rules, and Shasta followed them. They were to be declared deceased after one year, and resources expended to finding them would be halted. While Shasta still struggles with this decision, he knows that it needed to be done for the greater good of the community.

Shasta spends most of his time planning and organizing resources. His skill lies in this administrative role, and he greatly enjoys it. It was his father's wish to free the Tranquil, and while he doesn't have the emotional fire of his sister, he is still deeply connected to their liberation whether or not he admits it.

With heavy raven-colored locks and eyes nearly black, Violette is a woman of dark beauty. She stands at a tall five feet nine inches, and rarely smiles. She has dusky tan skin, and an fit physique. When not in a white lab coat, Vi usually dresses in dark tones of reds, greys, and blacks. Though she won't answer if asked, Vi has a tattoo that travels down her back.

PERSONALITY

Vi is a professional in every sense of the word. Everything has a place in her life, and stays in that place. Though not distinctly rude, Vi's cold distance can often come off that way in a rather roundabout fashion. Her words are often polite but very detached. She is a quiet woman who mostly keeps to herself. Since she cares little to nothing for what people think of her, Vi doesn't bother with sugarcoating. When asked her opinion or when the situation calls for it, she is bluntly honest.

MISCELLANEOUS

+Vi greatly values self-defense. As soon as she was able, she learned combat. She was taught by Savina Melrose, a looter and one of her few friends.
+In her personal life, Vi often uses sex as her own form of vengeance against her Garden. It's extremely focused on her own desires, and never has any emotional attachments. Sex is the only time Vi allows physical touch. Outside of that, she becomes tense when anyone tries to hug her or do anything of that nature. People have learned to give her her space.

BACKSTORY

The Diamond. The heart of Tranquility. The home of the city's most elite community. A place of opulence, luxury, and excess. In this halcyon oasis, no resource is spared. Not food, not material, not fuel...and not humans, either. A Garden of Eden is simply one way people in the outer sectors can be promoted. When a particularly beautiful Tranquil is born, they'll sometimes get selected to be a Bloom in one of the Gardens. These lucky Tranquil are hand-picked to be planted in Garden, renamed, and given a life of exciting new splendor...and the honor of serving The Diamond's best with their bodies. PaxCor would call it a brilliant opportunity. Violette Acotas, though, would call it slavery.

Vi doesn't remember what her original name was. She doesn't remember her family, or any friends she may have had before she was chosen for the Diamond. Just snippets of her previous life remain...a favorite color of red, a stuffed toy rabbit with a puffball tail, an interest in biology. She was just thirteen when she was planted in a Garden, brought up by older Blooms, taught the best ways to please clientele. It was an honor, they said. At sixteen, after three years of text-book learning, Violette had her coming-of-age party and her first Arrangement.

Like all the other Blooms, she felt nothing.

Occasionally there would be a stirring of something, but never more than the smallest spark of questioning. For six years, Violette remained in a Garden of Eden. She rose in popularity, becoming a highly-requested Bloom. She was consistently told of what an honor it was, to be so favoured by the true Diamonds. But Vi was never satisfied.

At ninenteen, she experienced the Arrangement that changed her life. The person who had purchased her time was a Diamond boy about to graduate from secondary school at age eighteen, and part of it included sneaking from the Diamond as was a rite of passage in Diamond youth. They were out, and Vi felt a deeper stirring. A flash of red caught her eye. It was her favorite color, she thought. Once upon a time.

The red was graffiti, looking so out of place. And Vi felt a pulling to know more. Luckily for her, the Diamond she was with enjoyed adventure--a feeling she couldn't comprehend--and decided to find the location. The Diamond never left that city. But for Vi, the rest was history.

Upon reaching The Ruins, Vi chose to study medicine. She poured her heart and soul into learning about it, absorbing every detail, wanting to know everything. Her former love for biology shone through. In five years time, Violette became the Spark's new Head of Medicine. She can be found work late nights at the Infirmary.

While Vi is distantly cold and blunt towards most people, she has a soft spot for victims. While seemingly hard to approach, Vi doesn't often bite.

Just make sure to never call her Violette.

Vi doesn't remember what her original name was. She doesn't remember her family, or any friends she may have had before she was chosen for the Diamond. Just snippets of her previous life remain...a favorite color of red, a stuffed toy rabbit with a puffball tail, an interest in biology. She rose in popularity, becoming a highly-requested Bloom. She was consistently told of what an honor it was, to be so favoured by the true Diamonds. But Vi was never satisfied.

At ninenteen, she experienced the Arrangement that changed her life. The person who had purchased her time was a Diamond boy about to graduate from secondary school at age eighteen, and part of it included sneaking from the Diamond as was a rite of passage in Diamond youth. They were out, and Vi felt a deeper stirring. A flash of red caught her eye. It was her favorite color, she thought. Once upon a time.

The red was graffiti, looking so out of place. And Vi felt a pulling to know more. Luckily for her, the Diamond she was with enjoyed adventure--a feeling she couldn't comprehend--and decided to find the location. The Diamond never left that city. But for Vi, the rest was history.

Upon reaching The Ruins, Vi chose to study medicine. She poured her heart and soul into learning about it, absorbing every detail, wanting to know everything. Her former love for biology shone through. In five years time, Violette became the Spark's new Head of Medicine. She can be found work late nights at the Infirmary.

While Vi is distantly cold and blunt towards most people, she has a soft spot for victims. While seemingly hard to approach, Vi doesn't often bite.

Just make sure to never call her Violette.
